Finally a highlander burger remake. Like this over 5 Guys (that was overspiced and dry). Love the fries Poutine. I liked the toasted bun, not killed meat. Forgot what a good burger should be like until I went here.

The fries here are fresh cut and awesome. The burgers are good but not quite awesome. They are located in a gas station store and they need to branch out and get their own building.

Excellent burgers and fries!! Will take this place over the obnoxiously priced, poor quality, Five Guys any day! Have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always so friendly!

Best burger ever! Better than 5 guys and every other burger place I've tried. Both of the Mikes are cool and Gavin who always seems to be working is awesome as well. Fries are great too(and fresh cut), we always get ours fried longer because we like them extra crispy :-)

Mikey's was busy at lunch, and we soon found out why! The burgers are simple and very good. I think that the price to quality ratio makes it the best in Brighton. The fries are those fresh ones that make you forget about the fat factor for a little while. Excellent and so glad that they found a home here in Brighton.

Really good burgers. Lots of fries, really friendly service. Don't forget to get a malt! Prices are very reasonable for what you get. I'll be back!

If you like your fries real, not frozen and cooked twice than this is the place for you! get them cooked a little longer so they are very crispy. I am a connoisseur of burgers and these are the best I have tasted. Love the sauce! A little messy but yumm-good! We go to the one in Brighton about 4 times a month. We have tried every burger joint in the area and this is the best by far.

I'm not sure about the bad reviews Mikey's has gotten here on Yelp but I'd challenge those people to give this place a second chance. Now to the burgers and fries. Five guys who? This place blow any of those other burger joints out of the water! Why you ask. From top to bottom their burgers are done right. Bun, Angus beef, and sauces all in combinations that work (salivating as I type this). You get all your traditional burger toppings and some not so traditional. At the end of the day if you're looking for a good old fashion diner burger this is the place!

Started going to Mikey's 3 years ago when Little Mike sent word out that the band was welcome after the games. So avoid Friday nights in the fall as we come in large groups. It is a tradition now for Howell Marching Band members to show there. We love both the Howell and Brighton stores and find the staff friendly and helpful. When they are busy it may not be fast food but it is great food. The fries are awesome and the burgers are never dry. Buns are made especially for them to their strict guidelines. I am not sure what others are complaining out because three years of eating at this place nothing that the negative comments make sense.

Decent burgers, not worth the price. $4 for a single patty burger, before adding any toppings that cost more PER topping? Milkshakes are fine, and $3 for a small is plenty for most - the problem is they quickly turn into liquid, which ruins the consistency. They do taste like the old fashioned ones, though. The fries are raved about here, but they were just OK, and I'd bet they're fried in the same beef fat as the burgers. Fine for me, but my wife didn't really like them. They were also on the soggy side. The burgers were different than any I've ever had, but probably similar to Smashburger. Crispy outside, gray (but not over cooked) inside. It was very beefy, but also very greasy. And the biggest disappointment was the utter lameness of the bun itself - they toast it on the grill, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a crappy tasteless bun that just doesn't fit the burgers well. Oh, and the cheese is just the typical processed stuff, too. I won't deny that these burgers satisfy a craving we all get occasionally. But I was hoping for more. And nearly $12 for the Triple Mikey with cheese, fries and a small shake just made it less appetizing overall. Couple that with a painly slow process of making the burgers - I saw mine sitting in the back, already made and wrapped, while my milkshake was done 5 minutes earlier, and I was waiting on the fries of all things at the end. 10 minutes for a fast food burger that takes 2 minutes on the griddle? I wanted to give this place a 4, but the high prices and slow service (and that bun!) brought it to a 3.

I have been a user and fan of Yelp for many years - a great website/app for anyone who loves food and travels. Anyway, after enjoying too many Mikey's burgers, I finally through I would contribute to the Yelp community Don't let the gas station scare you away. Not only does Mikey's have one of the best burgers in the area, it has one of the bust burgers I have ever had. Obviously, this is a conditional comment. As any burger lover knows, there are many different "styles" of burger. Mikey's is a classic grill top burger that comes loaded with any toppings of the classic condiments you would like - and I mean loaded! This is a simple, no frills, place to grab a bite to eat. Obviously not the place to go if you are looking for a night out with friends. However, if you have a craving, it can not be beat. I am puzzled by the negative reviews of the staff (one person taking orders and manning the grill). They are very friendly and I have seen them bend over backwards to make someone happy. They have a simple business model: Great food, fresh ingredients, reasonable price and quick service. Don't forget to try the fries and malts!

Good burger one of the better ones in the area but I am not going to rush back. French fries were the bigger star of the meal, fresh cut, thick and crispy. I will say for it coming from a gas station I should give it four stars. If I could I would give it 3.5.

Not impressed at all. The meat did not have any flavor and the bun fell apart. The fries were really good though. During the lunch rush they had an extremely hard time keeping up with the patrons. It was busy but now where near chaos. This is a Five Guys knock off. Everything from the layout to the fries, color scheme and the menu. visited on 2-29-12 @ 12:00 pm.
