We make Hillside a regular stop when visiting the Houghton/Hancock area. The prices are great, the serving sizes are huge, and the food is home cooked! It seems like a place where everyone knows everyone.

The food was average. You can see through the coffee. Most of the food on the menu is white on the plate and made better with ketchup or maple syrup. However, they were very accommodating of my partner with food restrictions. The wait staff was attentive. What really grossed us out, though, was the dirt and fuzz on the air conditioner above my head. Clearly, it's been awhile since the health inspector has been there.

We have been regulars for several years, since we first found this place. The Skillet breakfasts are the best breakfast in town! Always hot and fresh, service is always top notch. The place is small and simple, but the food is good ol home cookin'!

Stopped in for breakfast. Food was great. Little wait time, despite the fact that they were busy. Hash Browns are awesome, some of the best I have had in a while. This will be on our list of places to visit in Houghton.

We were craving B&G between campsites. Excellent, even the coffee was light but drinkable. Our sever was running around with all the tables filled on a Tuesday lunchtime, yet she was pleasant and knew what the hell she was doing. Best wishes!

Very hardy veggie omelet with lots of delicious hash browns with onions. No nisu or cinnamon reason toast though- just the basics.

Waited awhile but the food was worth the wait. Build your own 2 egg omelette, toast, and coffee, for $ 7.60 plus tip. Small place, clean,ok for all ages. Pleasant staff.

Best breakfast!! Breakfast is my husband's favorite meal, and he ranked this as one of the best he's had. I'm not a breakfast person, and I loved it. Previous post stated they don't take credit cards, but they do now.

Best breakfast in Houghton. The biscuits & gravy is homemade and out of this world. Perfect thing to warm you up on a cold winter's morning!

The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don't accept credit cards. Probably the best breakfast place around. It is kind of a small place and the parking can be a pain. If you like biscuits and gravy you'll love them here. It is definitely my favorite.
