Great place. Very friendly staff and good, fresh, hot food. Several locals came in and chatted with staff and the staff knew their likes and what they seem to regularly order. Good selection and fast service. The only bummer was the ice machine was broken for drinks.
This place tho.. When I'm by it, I have to stop. By far my favorite take-out/quick dine in restaurant. They are always cooking fresh food, so everything and anything you get is fresh and amazing. I personally go around lunch time and get their 1 entrée for $4.79. That's a killer deal and it includes an egg roll or crab rangoon. Their honey chicken is the best I've ever had.. Highly recommend it.
Can't beat it for the money! They give you tons of food and it's always fresh. Love the lo mein.

A lot of food for the money. It's good too!
One of my go to places for breakfast near East Lansing. This is where you go for comfort food when you miss home. They get pretty busy before noon, but around 1:00 it dies down and they serve breakfast all day. Staff is very friendly and they give you large portions of food. Seriously the pancakes can easily feed two people. I enjoy the omelets and seasonal "Sparty" breakfast sandwich. Try the hot chocolate. Served in a big mug with whip cream.
Good food and great service. Went twice in two days. Day one I had the Acapulco omelette and was nicely surprised at how fresh the jalapenos were. Not what you expect away from an authentic Mexican place. Day two I had the eggs benedict. Nothing fancy, but they both ask my preference and delivered the exact level of done-ness on the poached eggs. Not many places ask let alone get it right. And I can't forget that they never let my coffee mug get more than half empty. And I drink a lot of coffee.

One of the best tavern burger and sandwich spots around. Great sports viewing, home town friendly locals and a great upstairs deck for the warmer weather.
Good service and strong well drinks thats what I like, I had drinks while my friends ate they said the burgers were good The wait staff was friendly and fast if I am in the area I will go back
Used to be a great place but last 3 times I've had the same *rude waitress named kimm. Nothing like getting bitched out by a waitress for asking for a fork or extra napkins. I'm done Too bad

Stopped in for a quick burger and beer. Asked to taste a beer on tap, bartender even gave me some water to cleanse my palate, props for that. Beer was good so I wanted a pint, however he didn't come back. Watched for 10 min while he talked about personal life with a waitress, his back was to me but I made eye contact with waitress 4 or 5 times, clearly I wanted service. Finally got my beer and menu 15 min after sitting at the bar. I was the only person at the bar.
We went to the Watershed on a Monday evening and the place was dead. We were going to sit on the patio but we were a party of 6 and the tables were only big enough for 5 people, and they were round so we could not put two together. Inside we went. The interior is kind of dark and smells like a place where people smoked for years and years (because it is). Maybe over time that smell will go away but just a month into the state smoking ban and it still smells like smoke. We were told to sit wherever we wanted. There were no other people in the dining area so the options were pretty open. Our waitress was nice enough and came quickly with our menus and to take our drink orders. But then took a very very long time to come back for our food orders. Not nearly as long as it took for her to come back with our FOOD! We waited almost an hour. REALLY? No one was there! I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was just ok. My husband ordered a salad, as did my mom. Both were just ok. My nephew tried to order a pizza but they were out of pizza. OUT OF PIZZA? She offered him a pizza made out of flatbread and he agreed to take that instead. My dad ordered a burger. And for my little boy we ordered a pizza from the kid's menu (somehow they had THAT pizza - my guess from looking at it is that it was a frozen, pre-made pizza. It was TINY) It came with fries. I asked for a substitution. She mentioned that they had cottage cheese so I requested that. An hour later when our food finally arrived my son's plate came with fries and she told me that they were out of cottage cheese. My nephew said his flatbread was "disgusting" and "cold". It did look disgusting. I wouldn't have eaten it. The fries were not good. The burger my dad ordered was described by the waitress as "huge" and "overwhelming" in size. It was neither. Overall I can honestly say that this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in many years. There was no reason for the time it took to get our food, no one apologized to us, and the food we did get was overpriced and mediocre at best (most was just plain BAD). We won't be back.
The Watershed has gone through several phases over the years and has now settled in to its sweet spot: a neighborhood bar and restaurant with beverages and cuisine to suit just about any palate. Lots of regulars at the bar who all know each other and the staff, but they don't make others feel unwelcome. Beer selection includes the domestic standards to please that crowd but also offers a nice rotating selection of craft beer. Watch their twitter feed for special tappings, like KBS and Backwoods Bastard on tap together on our recent visit! The food menu is not necessarily innovative, but everything is prepared well. On our recent visit my wife had the nachos and they were among the best bar nachos we've ever had as they were pleasantly lacking in the greasiness that typically spoils ground beef nachos. We also had a smothered mac-n-cheese dish recommended by the bartender and it was excellent. The facility has been upgraded over the years and features a bar area, somewhat separate dining room, and a large patio area. Nothing fancy by an y means, but well maintained and a good size. Service at the bar (from the bartender) is always great. Service in dining room can be spotty but there is usually a manager floating around that can assist. They have live music most evenings if you are in to that sort of thing, and the regulars definitely will cut a rug!

On a recommendation, I decided to check this place out with a friend. I can't say I really had any expectation of this place (the recommendation was from a co-worker I didn't know too well). Pretty standard American type menu- they have sandwiches, entrees, etc... The one plus of this place (if you consider this a plus) is it's proximity to Lake Lansing. After dinner my friend and I walked around the LL area, and scored some ice cream. That actually made the evening worth it. Not the greatest, not the worst, just some where in between.

Typical sports bar - too smoky to be considered a family restaurant.
Love the atmosphere. Only place in Lansing that makes me feel at home with beach decor. Yummy food & good service, but the inside/outside seating is the best. I even bought one of their hoodies because it was so cute, soft, & warm. We got a couple cocktails that were pretty sweet, but good nonetheless.
Tons of beers on tap. It's not a five star restaurant but it's better than average food. I've been going here for years and never had issues with food or drinks....maybe people on here are a little too picky?? If you're looking for a good place to eat and grab a couple drinks there's no doubt Blue Gill is the place.
