Racers has taken up residence where the old Cousins Sub shop used to be in the complex next to Pat's Foods in Hancock. Nothing much has changed as far as interior, same very small space with limited seating; however, it's super easy to grab food to go here. And the food? We will be hitting this place up often. We tried 2 of the staple double burgers, they were huge (I would get the single next time). Fresh baked bun, fresh grass fed beef (patties pressed right in front of you), and copious choices of cheeses and condiments. We also tried the Italian Fries. Garlic, garlic, garlic...I love garlic. These fries topped with garlic, parsley, basil, and Parmesan cheese are SO crispy and delicious! The portion serves at least 2 or 3 people. The cost was reasonable $20 plus tax. They were very crowded, but seemed to handle the pace fairly well. The staff was friendly. Despite being a cramped dining area with a lot of people going in and out, the area was kept clean by the staff. We will absolutely be back, the cheese melt sandwiches sound Devine and we would like to try the Build Your Own Burger.

Try the florentine salad! Burgers are great with lots of options. Loved the blueberry ketchup with sweet potato fries.

I just wanted to update to say that I dropped in again here and found the food, once again superb. Almost without realizing it, I ordered the exact same burger (with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, fresh jalapeño, Gorgonzola cheese, and ancho chile crema sauce), and it was still just as awesome. I also tried the malt, a strawberry malt that was excellent. I continue to highly recommend this place. I need to branch out to another burger/cheese/sauce combo before I fall into a delicious rut...I'll have to remind myself next time.

All I can say is WOW!!! All our burgers were perfectly made. My wife had the BEET burger and said it was great. I tried a piece of it and thought it tasted similar but better than a black bean burger. I am usually not a big fan of French fries, but these were out of this world. The dipping sauce that comes with them is awesome. We also had the sweet potato fries and they were perfectly made. Prices were reasonable.

Came here and my first impression was not a good one. Small, not a lot of tables, and only one other couple inside. Seemed like it was a fail spot. But, decided to give it a crack, and glad I gave it a shot!! The burger was massive and full of taste! Fries were great and the baked beans were pretty tasty too. I suggest this place for sure!!

I have shown up twice now just before closing and have been turned away. I can't believe they close at 7:00/8:00. There were 4 of us so they gave up $40 easily. Would like to see them expand their hours as that is way too early to eat dinner. No wonder Culvers is always busy as you can show up a few minutes after closing and they still will serve you.

This place has the best burgers! Brioche or pretzel buns, tons of interesting choices for toppings, cheeses, and sauces. They also have the best sweet potato fries that come with a blueberry sauce. Unique and delicious!

Great food, but prepare to drop some dollars. Burgers are fresh, all sorts of choices for toppings. Small dining area, and always crowded at lunch time. A bit pricey for my budget, but excellent burgers and superb frys.

Burger where so good! But you'd better be heading home after cause it causes a little bit of a stomach ache. (Just for me personally) but it was worth it. Also the lady working the counter was a little rude. But oh well, Would come back again and again.

I have been here twice and had two different experiences. First this is not "fast food" I had to wait 15-20 minutes both times. There is limited seating so it meant standing around. The first time I got a classic burger, it was very good. I like being able to customize it with different cheeses and sauces. The blueberry ketchup with the sweet potato fries are amazing. The second time I got the beet burger, not only were the toppings I ordered not correct but it wasn't warm. Since there was no place to sit I had to get take out and didn't realize it was wrong until I got home. I called and tried to tell them but no one answered the phone and there was no answering machine. I would go back to try it one more time but only if there was a place to sit inside as I don't trust the take out now.

This place has really good burgers, crispy tasty fries, and good prices. You can't ask for more. It is very similar to a Five Guys restaurant, but the menu is a little bit confusing. The quarter pound burger is a single and the half pound burger is a double. I've eaten at two different places in the area and this appears to be the best one for burgers. I'm not sure if it is a UP thing or not, but burgers and sandwiches in the area do not come with lettuce, tomatoes, or onions unless you specifically ask for them. Of the five dine-in restaurants in the area, this one has been the best even though this one borders on being fast food. I recommend the 1/4lb burger with the pretzel bun and a small order of fries since they give you a lot of fries. Add a drink and it's under nine dollars. Awesome.

If you "build your own burger" you can choose how rare you would like the burger. Very good grass fed beef and one of the best burgers in town. Pro Tip: If it looks like it's too busy, don't worry, just place your order and it will be done quickly.

The fries were phenomenal and the burgers were great, they did everything that they asked I wanted and they had some great sauce too.

First, I love that the Copper Country finally has a restaurant that serves grass fed beef. More heart healthy omega threes, linoleic acid that may reduce cancer rates and antioxidants than conventional beef means that I get to eat more meat and more of these delicious burgers. This was my first time at Racer's so I didn't know what I was doing when ordering. I asked a zillion questions to the young lady at the counter. She couldn't have been any more helpful. I ordered a build your own burger (single) with their free toppings (shredded lettuce, tomato and grilled onions). I added the premium toppings of vinegar slaw, thick bacon and a runny fried egg with Gruyere cheese and Ancho Crema sauce on a freshly made Brioche bun. My mouth was watering while I was ordering! I also ordered a build your own burger (single) "dirty" which consists of an American cheese sauce, with camelized onions, bacon, jalapeño's and spices. I added their free toppings of shredded lettuce and tomato and the Racer's original garlic and chili sauce. Yum! Both burgers were large hardy servings. I ordered pink doneness and both burgers were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. These were the two best tasting burgers that I've had...ever. The burgers were succulent and juicy with fresh delicious toppings cooked in about 10 minutes for $13! You can't get made to order grass fed burgers at these prices anywhere. The thing that surprised me the most were the buns. It was like they were baked and taken out of the oven 5 minutes earlier. You can taste the freshness. The buns put the burgers over the edge - absolutely heavenly. My sister ordered the Beet Burger and loved it. My dad ordered the fresh cut sweet potato fries with Blueberry Ketchup. He would have licked the bowl if we would have let him. I agree with him, the ketchup was sweet with big bold flavor. The service was great and the meal was tasty and healthy. Bravo! We'll be back-

They truly have the best burgers in the area. The meat is cooked just the way you want it, and the buns are delightfully crunchy. Their sauces are great, especially the garlic basil aolli sauce. My reason for giving them a 4 star rating is because their french fries could use some work. While there flavor is great, they lack crunchyness. And it would be nice to be able to call in an order, rather than going up there and having to wait. Overall a great burger joint, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great burgers, fries, baked beans and chocolate malt! The sweet potato fries with amazing blueberry ketchup is worth a visit. An awesome menu with so many burger options. Looking forward to the next visit to try another variety of burger toppings!
