Not sure exactly how to describe it, "a fancier Olive Garden" type place but you don't need to dress up or anything. Chicken parm was good but I like a thicker chunkier sauce and the pompodoro sauce that I got was a runny sauce. Wife loved the Chicken Marsala, said that likes getting it out because she wouldn't have the first clue how to make it at home. Peroni was good and cold, cesar salad came with very thin parm cheese on top which was different texture but same taste. No croutons but they had bread on the table. Portion wasn't overloaded like most Italian dishes. Staff was very attentive and conversation but not annoying, he was good at small talk and yes some people are really bad at small talk. I'd prefer a local Italian place rather than a chain but I don't know of any the caliber of this place and Olive Garden. Wife's homemade sauce is still my all time favorite so going out for Italian isn't something we do often. Also, they have a FourSquare special. 5 check ins gets a free calamari. Our receipt had the fill out a survey and get a free appetizer as well.

We had a fantastic visit to Carrabba's. They were not too busy but did not have a booth available so we choose to sit at the bar by the kitchen. It proved to be the second best decision we would make. Jason and Frank were great and genuine as we chatted while we ate. My wife ordered the Lemon Thyme pasta and was thrilled with her choice. It was perfect. I ordered one of the new seconds pastas and could not believe how fantastic it was, All the time Jason and Frank were education us on the new menu and the different sauces and what made them so good. Sarah was our server and was perfect. Going to Carrabba's was our best decision of the night and we cannot wait to go again, but we will never sit at a table or a booth again if it is just the two of us.

We have been to Carraba's several times since it opened here in Grandville. Never had a bad meal. T The last two time we visited our server has been Corey. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient; he doesn't interrupt your meal 47 times to see how you are doing, but always seems to be there when you need him. The chicken marsala is my favorite, but my husband tries something new each time we go. He has not been disappointed. Good desserts, but we rarely have room. If you are up for coffee after dinner it is excellent.

Just excellent! The masala with steak was awesome. Lasagna was the best I have had in the states. It was a bit crowded but can be expected for such quality and a inexpensive price.

Good service, their dishes are contemporary and fresh. As far as chains go, I've never had a bad meal here.

Have only been in MI (West MI) a year. Finding a restaurant that serves flavorful, fresh food has been difficult. Carrabba's has been a breath of fresh air!! Service is wonderful. Waiters are friendly and attentive and knowledgable. My meal was exceptional from the wine to the bread (lovely, fruity seasoned olive oil to dip in) to the calamari (so fresh and light) to the delicious house dressing on the side salad. Finally, the entree. I ordered the Fetuccini Carrabba. Ingredients were fresh and bright and prepared to perfection. I will be back.

Actually, for a place I thought to be pretty much an Italian "Applebee's", it was surprisingly good. I went here with a group for a business meeting and the service was above average and the food was not bad at all. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again some time.

What a terrific find! We loved the food, ambiance and service most of all. Our waiter was so genuinely friendly and professional it made our stop for dinner on the way home to Chicago just perfect. Great job Kody!

Yes, it's a chain. Still, this is one of our favorites. I'm afraid Italian is not (in general) my favorite type of cuisine, but Carrabba's is excellent. Their Chicken Marsala is famous, but there are also several other excellent similar chicken dishes. And, of course there are wonderful pasta dishes and pizza. The big surprise for me is what they do with seafood. The wonderful seafood dishes were originally what kept bring me back to Carrabba's. Service at these restaurants is always outstanding.

I'll have to give this place another try here soon. We started with the bread which was great. our calamari started out really good but most of it was over salted. THE Sausage & Lentil Soup was AMAZING I also ordered the shrimp rissoto which I personally didn't enjoy too much. my waiter Jake was attentive which is always a plus these days... speak life

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
