This is my favorite restaurant in the world, hands down. It's my happy place. The salad bar is amazing! Lots of fresh, delicious toppings and salads, the puddings are very tasty! The walleye dinner is simply amazing. Very crisp and not greasy, very fresh tasting. The American fries with onions are a must for the side dish! The customer service is always wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about the Raber Bar!

Second time here, second time everyone in the family left completely satisfied. When we visit the Upper Peninsula we're always sure to go out of our way to visit Raber Bay for dinner. Each time I've gotten fried whitefish with curly fries and the salad bar. The salad bar in itself is almost worth the drive to be honest. I rarely one with as many options as they have here. Plus, there's chocolate and tapioca pudding and who doesn't love unlimited pudding? The fried fish is excellent for a few reasons. One, it's fresh as can be. Two, the breading has just the right amount of flavor. Three, it's lightly breaded. They do leave the scales on, however the fish will fall right off of it no problem. All of their sides are good options except for the onion rings- just "eh" to all of us. Service here is always prompt and crazy friendly, as most Michiganders tend to be. On top of that, the locals who visit here regularly are just as nice. I always enjoy visiting here and I know we'll be back next year.

Not near anything but often busy both because lack of alternatives and because it is pretty decent. Over many years I doubt I have ever ordered anything but whitefish and American fries. Generous, if eccentric, salad bar including soup and sheet cake. Home decor blogs had lots of taxidermy a couple years ago. They were tongue in cheek. This is sincere.

I have been visiting the Raber Bay Bar for 23 years. It is the best Walleye anywhere. All of the fish is good but order the Walleye. It is often crowded on the weekends or times when tourism is high but it's always worth the wait.

Outstanding whitefish, walleye and fresh salad bar. Homemade cake and pie. Server even took the time to make the wi fi work on our kindle. Well worth the drive (watch for deer!).

It is the birthday and anniversary place to go in the Northeast UP. Excellent service. Perch and whitefish dinner are my personal favorites. Have to agree about the chocolate pudding at the salad bar. You just don't find that in a salad bar anymore.

A bit out of the way but well worth the trip. Fresh delicious fish served in quantities that will please the palette and the pocketbook. Salad bar and soups to please the belly. Not for those looking for haute cuisine by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want to soak up the local flavor and make some new friends this is the place!

It's in the upper peninsula of MI, so I'm rating it based on nearest alternatives. We come here every year for my dad's birthday in august. Never actually been to the bar side of it but the sit-down half is quite good. They have excellent lake fish(perch, walleye, whitefish and even frog legs if that's your thing). It has the best salad bar in the UP including a soup section, homemade breads, and 2 or 3 desserts. The salad bar even has pepperoni and chocolate pudding on the salad bar which an odd but wonderful addition. The bar is lined with various local hunting and fishing trophies(think massive fish and deer antlers not golden cups). I don't think I've ever had a bad thing off the menu although its by no means over the top fancy. Just the kinda cozy place you would expect from a yooper restaurant. Oh and you can buy busch lite 30 racks to go for 16 bucks too if you need some beer for the next days fishing trip.
