Who puts italian dressing...like "enough to fill a bathtub"...on a cheesesteak? A CHEESESTEAK?!?!?! [sigh] Apparently if you're not watching them closely, these people do. The italian (the other sub I picked up for someone else) wasn't any better. Horrifically soggy, the bread was a fingerprint-catching gooey mess on both. And it's not like they were rushed...I was the only person in the place other than the two people who were working at the time. Who, for the record, forced me to not pay attention during the sub making process because I couldn't stand listening to them blather on and on and on about their (cringeworthy) exploits the night before. The stories should have completely killed off my appetite...but not to worry, two bites of my sub delivered the coup de grace on it.

The "new" owner is a smug rude young guy with a name that takes at least 4 people to figure out how to pronounce it (I saw it on the license on the wall). I say "new" owner but in reality I think he bought the place out sometime in 2011. So relatively new. I work in the area so Ive been going to this Tubbys for at least 15 years. It used to be really nice, but the past 2 times I have been there, the owner himself is there taking the register orders and extremely rude as all getout. Today I walked in at 11:05am. The sign on the door says they open at **10am**. I go stand at the register to make my order, but the owner is counting ketchup packets down the counter a bit. After I stand there looking like an idiot for 3 minutes, he grunts and comes over and stands in front of the register and sighs. I realized he was crabby as Ive dealt with him before and so ever politely asked "are you guys open? I can come back i n a bit if you arent". He rolls his eyes, grunts again, and says that he was busy "what do you want?!" Im not kidding, Im not exaggerating either on his behavior. It was like an excerpt out of a bad customer service training video!! lol. Now at that point, I would normally just have walked out, went to Subway, Charleys Grilled Subs, Lennys, or any of the many many other submarine places in the area that are GRATEFUL and appreciative to take my hard earned money in exchange for a smile and a good sub. But I was craving a grilled chicken sub from Tubbys, it was close, and I thought Im going to ride this out and then write a Yelp review about it..lol I should add that as I sat there and ate my crappy sub, another customer came in and got the SAME treatment!! After the owner turned his back to the customer, the guy looked at me and gave me this WTF look, and we both shook our heads and chuckled. In the past, this place would have a steady lunch crowd but today there was only me and 1 other customer. Im sure everybody else has noticed what a turd this place has become and the poor customer service. Anyway, my sub was god awful, I only had 1/3 of it and threw it away. There was barely any chicken on it, waaayyyy too much cheese (filler?) and the onions tasted sour. It was basically a cheese, bread and rank onion sub with essence of chicken. I had to ask for ranch and he basically blew a wad. But the sub does come with your choice of dressing. The last two times Ive been here, the eating area is always disgustingly dirty - when does the health department come around?! They really need to check this place out. Clearly the new owner is running this place into the ground. The old owners were always nice and kept the place exceptionally clean - their pride showed. I will not ever, ever be back to this Tubbys again.

I never really write reviews but this time I had to with the great service I had. I always come to this Tubbys in Fraser with my family because they are always very nice to my kids. Every time I go they will give my kids free cookies and bottles of apple juice and orange juice. Im not sure if this guy is the owner or just the manager but he's always very nice. He's a tall thin young guy with dark brown hair and has an accent. Anyways this Tubbys has very nice people working there. The food is wonderful and if I ever have to use the bathroom I will come there because it always is very clean and smells good. I do recommend this Tubbys to anyone who wants to go to a clean and friendly place where everyone treats you with respect!!!

Walked in after being greeted with a friendly hello. Got the 12" pizza burger with bacon and mushrooms. Almost thought they closed early with the chairs up on the tables. Either way an underated gem.

This place don't even deserve the one star it got not only did it take 1 hour and 45 minutes to get a delivery order when my food arrived it appears to have been prepared two hours previous the sub which was grilled steak and cheese was COLD the bread was soggy!!! The pop was watered down from the ice melting the French fries were cold I may as well off took 15$ and flushed it down the toilet!! This has got to be the worst tubbys on the east side!!! Do not go here

I used to eat here all the time but it is now just a dirty place to go. Bathrooms are cleaned mabye once a month it is disgusting. Food is decent but after seeing how dirty this place was i didnt want to even eat it.

I used to live in the area as a kid, and Tubbys was a treat that I loved. I have since moved back to the area and it has gone a bit downhill since my childhood, and has even dipped again since I have moved back to the area (about 2 years of time). The steak and cheese was my go-to, and the last 2 attempts have been just awful. I don't know if they have changed suppliers for a significant ingredient or what but it just hasn't been right. They make the food right in front of you, and the technique doesn't seem different to me, but it just isn't right anymore. They do seem to have a revolving door of workers as almost every trip to Tubbys over the last 2 years has a different person working there. Maybe there is a lack of training, or they changed the grill temperature... I am at a loss, but I am upset that I will not be getting subs from this Tubbys any longer.

This Tubby's location went way down hill after the new owner took over. I used to go there once a week or so but after a couple of really bad experiences with the poor food quality I stopped. It's a shame because Tubby's in general is really good. The location in Novi rocks. Just stay away from this one.
