Wow, this place is a trip. Lots of locals who stare at ya when you come in. A bit intimidating if you're not a regular, but I just keep smiling and moving. Pretty dang serious about their karaoke here, which I like, and the hostess shocked me with how good a voice she had. This is one of them "smoke em if you got em" Michigan bars so if you don't like cigarette smoke don't come here. Kind of a raucous atmosphere in a corner bar way, but that just made it interesting. Glad I broke my karaoke cherry here. Another one bites the dust!

A pal wanted to take me out for a Hof - Brau Burger, but they do not open until 2 pm. So we thought, what about Shelly Kellys.... We walked in at 11:20, the music was loud & pumping like a Friday Night at 10 pm. * they did turn it way down after we sat down The young man tending bar ( the owners son ) promptly greeted us & fetched us some beverages & burgers. very nice young man. I desired a cup of chili, but today was chicken soup day. I ordered a 1/3 pound burger with mushrooms, cheddar & grilled onions, it came with fries. A+ I thought the burger was more than I bargained for or anticipated~ Moist Cooked perfectly Generous amount of mushrooms ,cheese & grilled onions + fresh lettuce & a nice amount of raw onion. Fries No Big Deal , but plenty of them. Also the young man , made me a nice cherry coke with grenadine. My pal who picked up the tab, was equally impressed with his & his brew. Lunch for two $14.25 The credit card machine was not working well, so the young man offered to pay the ATM fee of $2 to help us out, but we paid cash instead. I will go back & have another burger, perhaps on $2 Tuesdays

Excellent service and food! Full menu! Great bands on the weekends! Great place to watch a game or play some pool! Hottest waitresses! Great times!

***UPDATE to earlier remove**** Can I remove a star? Make it zero. I went back here again like a fool. Crummy prices again. Cold inside because owner must be to cheap to turn heat up. No wonder the place is for sale and at a ridiculous price!!! It is awful and mismanaged. All the attention goes to 4-5 locals who are there everyday I guess. Non-locals get the "stare" like another poster mentioned. Prices are way high for day time drinking in a Macomb County dive bar...way high! Stay away and spend your hard earned money somewhere it will be appreciated! Big deal on all these beer specials they have. I drink Michelob Light. I have for 25 years, I'm not changing now. They do not include it in the dollar special. They do not include it in any beer special. They said it is not domestic. Whatever. At least give me a quarter off of it. Why should I pay almost triple price ($2.75) when everyone else gets it for a dollar? What a joke. Do not get lured in by the pretend specials for beer. What is real funny is I can go anywhere without a special and buy Michelob for $2 a bottle. $2.25 at the most during the day time. These people are fools for charging what they do for other beers. I travel with 3-4 friends when we go out. None of us will be back here.

So I go into this place at noon not knowing what to expect, except maybe some awesome Corned Beef and Beers. Then I thought I was going to be disappointed when they said the Corned Beef had run out and the new batch that they said has to cook for 8 hours wasn't remotely ready yet. The saving grace is that it was $1 Burger Tuesday! Two things came to mind: 1. I'd buy that for a dolla! 2. I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a Hamburger today! So I get two of these burgers that end up being a third pound each, yeah, they were Whopper sized... for a dollar.... each. Thick slice of fresh Tomato, Red Onion slice, Lettuce and I splurged for Cheese that came to 50 cents extra. I came for the Corned Beef, but glad I stayed for the Burger. I'll be back for the Corned Beef though, for sure!

Had a groupon, so Julie C. and I stopped in after work for a burger and a beer, and some battered mushrooms.. The service was okay, I thought our waitress was kind of snobby, but later I figured she just seemed kind of shy, she opened up towards the end... Burgers were good, cooked to our specifications, so no complaints there... Julie C. got onion rings with hers and they were HuMONGous...she said they were the best she's had...they only gave her 3, and she was bummed at first, but she only ended up eating 2 because they were so big.. It was an all right place. You can see it's one of those places that has it's normal regulars, but welcoming to any new faces (ours) that showed up for some dinner. I'd probably go back.. :)

A craphole masquerading as an Irish pub. Lousy food. Worst of all, they shorted the Broken Arrow Blues Band last night after they played a gig for the Detroit Blues Society's monthly membership meeting. I'll never be back. Why should I support a business that rips off musicians? The band held up there end of the bargain, so why didn't this joint do the same?

The food wad typical bar food. Nothing special there. Nothing exciting with beer selection. Ehhhh.....not overly impressed.

That was the worst corned beef sandwich that I have ever attempted to eat. The sad part it was recommended by the bartender as "one of the best things on the menu". It was drenched in butter slapped on the grill and it was like eating a soggy salt-lick. The drinks are measured pours and cameras everywhere. Not a place you want to sit and hang out unless you have been sitting at the same bar stool for way too many years.

The place is not fancy or trendy, what a relief. Very comfortable and relaxing, able to hold conversations over your meal. The corn burger is the best burger I've had. The fish and chips are good. The drinks are cold. And the staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. This is my new hangout and I'll be telling everyone I know to come on down.

Tried this bar last weekend. Can I just say that I'm still thinking about the Corned Beef Reuben that I had. Their corned beef was amazing, possibly the best that I have ever had. Just thinking about it now makes me want to go back for more. The bar itself is a little bit on the dive bar side. Not that there is anything wrong with that. There are definitely regulars that aren't complaining! I was there on a Saturday night and there was a band playing. The band was good, but I'm a sucker for an upright base. Good prices and with corned beef like that you can't go wrong!!

First, I only tried this Pub because we had a Groupon that included drinks. Right when we walked in the waitress asked if we had a coupon (strange?) when I told her we did, she said none of the specials would apply to us, we would have to pay full price (again weird?). We started off with a beer while we looked at the menu. She brought mine and it looked like apple juice, took two sips, then switched to bottled beer. I asked the waitress what was good, and she said the Reuben and burgers. Sounds good, so my hubby ordered the Reuben, and I asked for a bacon cheese burger with their homemade chips. Food came, and she gives me a GRILLED CHEESE WITH BACON???? When I told her that wasn't what I ordered she was confused. Really?? I think I would have been confused if someone ordered a grilled cheese with bacon. I didn't want to send the food back, I was hungry so I ate my first ever grilled cheese with bacon. :) It was fine, and the chips were good too. Every time we ordered something, a new bill came so we could keep track of how much we were spending (or maybe it was easier for her). She never took to flat beer off, but I was ready to get out of there. The experience was good for a laugh, but that was it.

My favorite bar on the Eastside of the "D"!!! They have live music there 4 days a week and Karaoke on Saturday nights. Every Tuesday is the Acoustic Open Mic with OLD SKOOL (had a $2 burger there the other night that was awesome & played pool all night for free) Every Thursday is the electric jam session with the band DANGEROUS SITUATION! Fridays bring in best of the local bands, from rocking Country to soulful Blues, Classic rock to hard modern edgey alt stuff.....Great little bar with awesome food and the best entertainment in the area!

Had the Bar Burger medium rare with onion rings. OUT OF THIS WORLD FANTASTIC! Soooo affordable and better than most 5 star burger joints I've been to-and made right THE FIRST TIME. The waitstaff were sweethearts and took AMAZING care of us, as did the bartender. Mike, the cook, is amazing though. Patrons were kinda rough tonight, almost left, but we stuck it out to sing karaoke.
