I have to admit that their indoor decoration is not that satisfactory but actually they do have some good dishes and of course friendly service. I came to visit Frankenmuth with my family who just came to America a couple of weeks ago and they still miss Chinese food so we decided to try this place. We ordered beef&broccoli, beef fried rice and a pork dish (sorry I forgot the name ;P). And they offered Egg Drop Soup and Wonton soup for dine-in customers. All of my family (including me) loved the beef fried rice: very tender beef, just right saltiness and not oily. My parents even thought the fried rice tasted just as delicious as that we had back in China. I personally prefer their beef and broccoli because I love eating white rice with the tasty sauce and tender beef. We spent approximately $24 in total, which was fairly reasonable. As for the service, the old lady was really friendly and she was always talkative. The waiter guy was a little shy, but he was still nice and patient enough even though we asked for more chilly sauce for many times! lol This place I think is good for Chinese food if you are not used to the German food that you can find at the most restaurants in this town. Try it and I think you can enjoy yourself here~ (^_^)

Located next to the 7-11 store, this tiny 15-top restaurant was deserted when we arrived on a Saturday night at 6:30, except for three tables on dirty dishes. We were greeted by a rather quiet young man who quickly brought us our drinks, then disappeared around the corner to where a woman had been screaming since we arrived - a obviously mad, angry woman, who appeared to be barking out cooking instructions to someone else in the kitchen. This went on for the entire time we sat at our table. As we waited for our soups, a handful of folks in cut-off shorts and wife-beater shirts came in to pick up their take out orders, so the locals are obviously frequenting the place. The wonton soup was simply chicken broth with a lone noodle sitting, rather lifeless, in the bottom. The egg drop soup was the exact same chicken broth, but with a light swirl of scrambled egg whites floating in the pee-stained bowls. Both were absolutely flavorless, except for the immediate salt-lick kick of sodium. My Orange Chicken was the typical cornstarch-slurried fried chicken cutlet, which appeared to have been previously poached in orange juice (?), pounded thin, deep fried in the wok and sent to the table bathed in thick, orange syrup akin to something you would pour on pancakes at iHop. The chicken had also been cut into dice-sized, perfectly-portioned pieces, obviously by a knife-savvy kitchen ninja. The wife's Shrimp Egg Foo Yung featured two medium-sized shrimp, a half pound of bean threads, and a flavorless, gloppy brown sauce, piled up so high on the plastic, three-sectioned plate is was dripping on the floor all the way from the kitchen to the table. Both of our entrees were served with brown fried rice -dolloped out with an ice cream scoop- and a small, but rather pleasant-tasting egg roll. Just an aside, ask for a handful of take-out packets of duck sauce and Chinese mustard, even if you are dining in - it appears the bottled sauces on the tables have been watered down - wayyyyyy down. To the consistency of, how do you say, "water"? Two combination plates with soup, fried rice, an egg roll and drinks came out to less than $20.

Don't let the outside scare you away. Very nice ppl. The owners were very sweet and smiley! They even recognized me the second time going in. Doesnt look like much at all, but, the food is fast and pretty decent. They even have all u can eat with 1 entree, eggroll, crab cheese and soup for 6.99 for lunch and 8.99 for dinner! Will def. drive from birch run to eat here.

Good food. Poor veg options. Worst service of all time just means you can leave no tip without feeling at all guilty.

Kind of a 3.5. Maybe a 3.25. Eh. Whatever. For $31 le gal pal and I got: Lunch portion of sweet and sour chicken with white rice. Lunch portion of szechuan chicken with white rice. Side of vegetable stir fried rice. A side of what I call "Crab ragoons", but I'm not sure what they're called here. A small order of hot and sour soup. So for the price, I guess the value's not terrible -- about on-par with most Chinese places. First thing I asked myself upon walking in Szechuan House was... how is this place open? It's incredibly dingy and it's like walking into an actual Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong or something. There's very little seating, it's horribly dated, and it's dirty. Hey, that's not necessarily a bad thing at all. It seems like the filthier the restaurant, the more authentic the food, in my experience. Regardless, I got take out. The Szechuan chicken was my favorite. Had a fair amount of heat to it, and had plenty of fresh vegetables to go with a good amount of chicken as well. The white rice was white rice -- cooked properly. The vegetable stir fried rice was decent, but there wasn't enough soy sauce in it and it seemed a bit bland. The crab ragoons weren't awful by any means, but tasted a little too fishy/not fresh compared to ones I've had elsewhere. The hot and sour soup was interesting... good and bad. The taste was pretty nice, but the smell was very off-putting. It seriously smelled like a swamp. Also, there were chunks of chicken (or pork...?) in my soup, which was a first for me... I haven't had that in hot and sour soup before and could have done without it. A fairly mediocre bowl of hot and sour. The sweet and sour sauce served at Szechuan *looks* to be out of a bottle just because it looks like maple syrup -- there aren't any fruit bits in it and it's just a syrupy consistency. It looks fake, I guess? It still tastes fine, though. Szechuan House was about what I figured it would be... underwhelming, but decent Chinese food in an area where Chinese food options are severely limited. I'd recommend the Szechuan chicken, as it saved the meal for me.

Food was tasty! We had the chicken wings, which had a nice mix of spices, the lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and the beef and shrimp. Small place, bathroom was ok, but overall picky kids loved the food!

Decent for being one of the only Chinese take-out in the area. Cannot say it has the best or worst anything in the area because the only comparison is the buffet across the street. I have tried to never use the word meh to describe anything but it seems appropriate in this case. The food is average, the service is what is to be expected, the price is average. In all honesty, what can you possibly expect from the city that has World Famous Chicken plastered all along the main drag.

The inside is extremely dingy and outdated, however I believe they rent the place so it is more of the land lords fault for not keeping the building updated. The food however is amazing! Anything I've ever had there was authentic and fresh. I have ate in a few times but have mostly gotten take out. The staff is very friendly. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended the egg drop soup and sweet and sour chicken!
