This has got to be the best subway I have been to. it is always very clean and the staff is amazing! of course their subs are great as well. I always get to add my wife's cheese to my sub as extra cheese and not get charged for it, some of the other Subway's don't like to do that. I will always choose this one over the pierson road one!

We had dinner here for the first time this past weekend and we were very impressed. The staff is wonderful - very helpful and courteous. The food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable as well. I think this is our new favorite place!
I go here at least once a week. Great food and better service. I have never had a bad meal or service here. I am always trying something different each time and I get the same results - Excellent. They may have the best salsa I have had at a restaurant.

Blackened shrimp appetizer was great. Shrimp was unexpectedly good for being in Michigan! Had the pea and ham soup. Perfect for a cold winter night. Duck breast entree was excellent. Overall, will return!
The service was pretty slow for a lunch with only a handful of tables in the restaurant. I had the ham and Havarti sandwich. It was delicious, but I would've liked for it to be hotter. The cheese was already congealed before I got through my first few bites, which gave the sandwich kind of a gross texture. I would've sent it back to get warmed up if I had been able to get a hold of my waitress. I'd go back for a lunch if I was in the area again, but I wouldn't rave to anyone about the place.
The problem is this is the most truly fine dining restaurant in the Flint area. The meals are creative, exceptionally well-prepared, and served in a friendly and attentive manner. If you go at Christmas time you have to see the hanging, upside down Christmas tree covered with crystal ornaments and more than 1000 white lights. It is a relatively small restaurant. So the atmosphere is warm and intimate.

This place is just odd. Start with the hours, it makes no sense. Then it's just awkward when you walk in, the people just stare at you like you should automatically know what you want. So after deciding on brisket sandwiches we waited. And waited. And waited. ( BBQ is precooked right?) then it came. Absolutely drowning in BBQ sauce and tough as nails! I are a few bites and then asked for a to go bag only because I didn't want to be rude. Then it comes time to pay and.... The only take cash? I understand that some places do this but when they do there are big signs posted and they don't look at you in disgust when you mistakenly try to hand them your card. Long story short, the food is mediocre at best, and the service blows. I would stay away.
I just recently found this place. Absolutely a hidden gem. I don't think I've ever had brisket that was so good before. Juicy, sweet and delicious. The ribs, pulled pork and chicken were amazing also. Not only was the food excellent, but the staff was super friendly and made you feel very welcome. I can see myself coming back here fairly often--I'm definitely recommending this place to my family and friends that visit us in the Flushing area. The couple of bad reviews surprised me. Maybe they came late at night when it wasn't as fresh. Hard to say. I think people should try it for themselves before they say no to the place.
We ordered BBQ for the family here, first we had to wait almost 45 min, which the only good thing about that was it gave me time to run to the closest bank to get cash, because they didn't take charge. Then we get home, and our chicken is raw! Also we didn't get all the sides we ordered, they substituted some out, because they ran out of what we ordered. The rest of the BBQ is just covered in sauce. After living in Kansas City I learned a great saying concerning BBQ, "a good sauce will hide BAD BBQ" serve it up with no sauce and if it still tastes great, you have gotten a great BBQ! I will NEVER come back to this place, and I tell everyone I know to avoid it like the plague!

A classic drive-in, this place still serves some very good food. They've changed the name to the "Flushing A" and done a little remodeling lately, but it's still a fun restaurant with some nice memorabilia. I believe they are still one of the few places where you can get a hotdog with the special red sauce--it's a meatless sauce, tomato based, but different than ketchup. This is my mother's favorite, and it goes especially well with a nice frosty mug of root beer!
Love this place. Amazing hotdogs with homemade redsauce. This is not your average corporate owned franchise.
coney with the red sauce added!

We really enjoy their crab cheese rangoon - actually, everything that we've ordered from there is good! It's best to call in your order before you get there, they get very busy at dinner time, especially on the weekends.
Best Chinese food around....hands down! How ever Sue the lady who answers the phone is RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, and UNFRIENDLY!
Just moved to Flushing so I thought I would give this place a try, I am less than impressed. The atmosphere is blah, I came in to pick up my takeout and the lady didnt get up from the booth where she was sorting through pea pods or even acknowledge I was there for 2 minutes. The food is less than stellar, not flavorful at all. I ordered the orange chicken and chicken fried rice...it was mediocre at best and lackex anu kind of real flavor. The crab rangoons were ok.

We got one medium pizza with ham, pineapple, and mushroom. It made both me and my boyfriend sick. And then his mother told us she never comes here anymore because it makes her sick every time. Not impressed.
Ok hands down the best pizza in flushing, maybe the world. This place is where it's at. Sometimes I wake up at night craving their pizza. I've been going to Gina's for over 20 years and will continue going for the next 20. And the antipasto salad is also amazing, and the breadsticks, and the garlic bread, and the EVERYTHING! The only thing that I would say negative is the service. It's not bad per say it's just ok. But all in all this is a great place.
Not overly impressed. Placed a pick up order for a pizza and garlic bread. The pizza looked good, but was lacking in seasoning and the crust wasn't very good. The cheese garlic bread was simply sliced bread with garlic seasoning and cheese melted on top. Overpriced for the quality if you ask me.

Why is this place not getting 5 starts across the board? Great small town feel, friendly waitstaff and great diner food! Best cheeseburger in town and the breakfasts are great! I drive from out of town to eat here.
This is one of those "popular primarily because it's local" kind of places. In reality, it is very average. The waitstaff is friendly, maybe even a bit overly familiar at times. In my opinion, the food is very average American diner food. The portions are on the small side. The dining room is small... Really small. I think this place is popular with locals simply because it is a non-chain local restaurant, and because it's so small that the staff "knows you" if you go there with any frequency.
so I seen homemade corned beef hash as a special, yet could clearly see the cook dumping canned hash on the grill. the food is cheap and you get what you pay for. breakfast is ok, but as far a greasy spoons go there are plenty better than here.

we dined al fresco for lunch. food was excellent. I had the Zesto Pesto sandwich and fries and wife and friend loved the Bruschetta wrap. service and food were great. the place has been around forever, and it is terribly dark and dated inside. if you need to find your way to the bathrooms, you may need a headlamp to get upstairs (watch your step). glad to see the hometown favorite still going strong as they had a good crowd for a Friday early afternoon. absolutely will be back when in Flushing.
Had coconut shrimp. Server misquoted serving size. Cole slaw served in shot glass size bowls. Finished our side dish even arrived. First and last trip to Kathys.
I'd give this place 4 stars as I eat there quite often. The food is consistant and freshly made. Some things are much better than others. I'll attempt to steer you away from the bad and towards the good. Soup: The chicken and dumpling and beer cheese soups are amazing. They are both incredibly flavorful. The chili is also very good, if they have it, and its also a bit spicy. Stay away from the clam chowder though. I don't know why, but it's far below the quality of their other soups. It's extremely salty and I expect the clams are canned. In short stay away. Sandwiches: The Zesto pesto and The Depot are both amazing. The french dip is hit or miss. Sometimes the meat can be a bit overcooked and or bland. The one flatbread (nan) sandwich I had was delicious. I've been told the June bug is good, but I've personally never had.it . Sides: mashed potatoes need.to be seasoned they're made fresh in house, but are sadly.very.bland. However, the French fries are amazing. Dinner: The queen cut prime rib is one of the best deals ive ever had on a steak. Great quality, taste and the price is unbeatable. The service is usually very good.

I love the atmosphere of this place! It's a little on the smaller side but it makes it feel personal and cozy. It gets a bit tight in the morning when all the older men are there enjoying their coffees and newspapers. They have a nice patio in the back as well as a bakery connected to it that is owned by the same person as the coffee shop. My coffee order is a little complicated but the barista was super nice, friendly, and willing to learn about the drink. The coffee is delicious, as well as the espresso. Flavoring was perfect. They have a lot of different options for flavor, coffee, and milk as well. They have soy too! Awesome prices, great tasting coffee, and a great experience! Don't let the outer exterior stray you away from checking out the inside!
Nice little gem of a place right downtown to get a good cup of joe and relax, do some work or have a quiet meeting. So many coffeehouses have the music blasting which means everyone talks louder but you won't find that here. Could use some soft background music. Light and bright setting in an old Victorian type location w/ lots of real wood trim and doors. And they're open every evening until nine or ten. Nice patio out back w/ umbrellas. Be sure to pop next door to the adjoining bakery, all fresh and run by the owner.
The last time I checked (last year), they still didn't accept credit cards. Seriously? They instruct guests to "go hit the ATM" up the street! It's not like their coffee or pastries are that great, anyway! They don't have signage indicating the fact that they don't allow credit card transactions and they don't have an indoor ATM (not that people care for that, either, because I know that I certainly don't). The last time that I stopped in, (I only stopped in because I had an appointment with my CPA down the street) the girl behind the counter was rude and told me I could go to the ATM down the street- in the middle of a massive rainstorm! Yeah, sure! I find it odd that you can just walk into the bakery next door while it's closed as well. That's just weird. The few times I've ordered something there, my drinks were just okay, but nothing outstanding and the pastry was dry, like it had been sitting around awhile. Once, I had a cocoa that wasn't bad, but I had to keep reminding the barista that I wanted whip crème on it! Another time, I had to basically talk the barista through the step by step process of making a Café Mocha- she really didn't have a clue! It's a cute little coffee shop, but not worth the while. They need to invest in training their staff.
