We've been to this location of BD's several times. Today we stopped in for lunch, around 12:30 PM on a Sunday afternoon. At the door we were greeted by the hostess and manager. They gave us choice of seating, the space is divided between booth and table seating. We had the one bowl with soup and salad bar. The salad bar had two soups and various fixings with your choice of dressings and toppings. The best part about this establishment is that you control what goes into your meal from the protein, veg, carbs and seasoning. We created our meals and took them over to the grillerz. They were cooked and served up to our specs. It was tasty, yummo! The cost is $8.99 each plus tip/tax for lunch, we had some coupons that greatly reduced the bill. We will return!

Surprisingly good. Restaurant has a lot of seating. Service is great. Salad bar is okay. They have 2 soups on there too. We ordered the potstickers for an app. It comes with 4 pieces which I didn't think was very much. If you make your own meal it comes with white rice, brown rice and tortillas. Lots of options and the sauces are great.

Saturday night at 6:45pm the 25 minute wait ended up only being 10 minutes. Our table server greeted us right away, kept our drinks full, and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. The buffet of fresh and raw ingredients looked great and was fully stocked. The grill was already full when we walked up, but the staff was quick to let us know where to stand so we could be in the right spot when the next spot at the grill opened up. The grill was just the right temperature and the grill cooks were fun, doing tricks here and there (better than some lunch times when the grill is so hot that the food burns while cooking). I went for a chicken fajita plate and the hubby went for a beef and broccoli stir fry. If you're watching carbs- ask your server for lettuce wraps instead of tortillas. No complaints and the service was top notch- a great BD experience!

Very Good Food except the Fried Rice was really disgusting. Service was good. Make sure you pile the meat on last....they refunded the money for the fried rice!

I was disappointed with how the customer service was. First off, the guy that was cooking put the wrong sauce on my food because he was too busy flirting with another customer and had the nerve to ask if I would accept it. Are you kidding me? Then I asked the waitress 3 times for lettuce wraps and she acted like she couldn't be bothered. I have never had an experience so horrible here before.

Great fun and food in an interactive environment! So fun. Helpful staff with great ideas to mix it up! Wonderful for families too!

Weird wait staff experience. At first nobody wanted to help us. Then we had everyone helping us. We did get a free dessert out of it. It kind of seemed like something internal was going on, like the mean girls were trying to make the misfit look bad. Sad. The food was fine, nothing out of this world, but fine. I always think places like this should give you ideas for mixing the food and sauces for those of us not so creative when it comes to food (at the station where you get the food, not on the menu which you aren't carrying with you when loading up your bowl).

Good place to eat. The menu gives several suggestions for sauces. Put veggies in first and meat on top. Meat sticks together better. Great flavors.

First timers. After vowing never to return to the Auburn Hills location, we gave this one a try. The basics are the same, of course. For a set price, you get to fill your bowl with all the veggies, starches, fruit, herbs and meats you want, fill a cup with sauce, spices and seasonings, take it to the grill and watch them cook your masterpiece. If you don't like it, you can pay more for the unlimited meal, which is also great for hearty appetites, newcomers and ravenous teen boys who may or may not like the combination of meatballs, pork and duck covered in spaghetti sauce. (No, no he didn't.) Gross. A sad salad bar sits forgotten in the back and isn't worth filling your belly. No chopped egg. Little of interest. Disgusting tomatoes that dissolved when I cut them for my toddler. I didn't try the soup, but my husband's beef and mushroom looked like gross black bits in Heinz gravy. It formed a skin within 10 minutes of sitting on the table. Ew. The trick here is to layer herbs (cilantro) and flat items (noodles, potatoes) first. You can line the bowl with snow peas. Bulky items like peppers and baby corn next. Then carefully add meat on top. The sirloin comes in sheets, and it's like stacking bath towels. No spillage. I'm not as talented with slimier bits like chicken or pork. Sirloin? I stacked it about 8 inches high. Had enough for three meals. Bam! Since they only want to give takeout boxes on your first bowl, plan ahead and stack, layer, line the bowl, mash down and hold your food together. You can always wash your hands while they cook it all, right? ;) Service was good though standoffish. A nearby table had a great server who engaged them and kept them laughing. Ours was just efficient. Not bad, just not fun. The grillers had a great time belting out songs and flipping their doohickies. (The metal grilling stick things.) They were friendly but not conversant with customers. Cleanup of the grill was rushed and sloppy, and my son had burnt ash in his food from the hasty job they did clearing away burnt food. Not cool. They needed to use the water bottles for the job. Also, oil. They don't use enough, and they don't spray it where the food goes. They spray a small area close to the edge but spread the food over the middle. Makes no sense. The bathroom was run down, the toilet seat was freezing, the toilet paper dispenser was broken, and the toilet seat was too small for the rim. It was odd. The sinks were pretty and modern, but the toilets looked 30 years old. And why have restaurants stopped heating their bathrooms?! Our two youngest ate for free. My husband and I both only went up once. My son had the only unlimited. My daughter's cost $6. No alcohol. It still cost us $60. Overall, it was a positive experience. If I want to get my free birthday meal, this will be my go-to location. However, they need to work on the items above. They are still overpriced. And they really need to put the entry next to the parking lot.

As a first-time diner, I was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of vegetarian options and they grilled my food in a separate wok because I'm both a vegetarian and allergic to shellfish. That's a bonus that one doesn't often find. Not too pricey and the food is super fresh. They really put on a show at the grill for the patrons. A fun time all around. I will definitely give it another go.

What's not to love about a place where you pick your own crazy choices and see it cooked by even crazier chefs with long sword like devices. My kids love this place so much that they beg us to come here if we're with 50 miles. If your looking for out of the ordinary, Mongo is for you.

BD's can be hit or miss lately but this one rocked! Everything was full or being refilled at all times. Only two people on the grill (probably normal for a week night) but they cooked everything perfectly. They even allowed the sauces to "blend" for a little while which most don't lately. Great job Flint, MI!!

seated promptly, smelled delicious, nice ambiance, but didn't eat here, because when we looked at the menu, the standard "one bowl" meal without any extras (which start at $4!!) like fried rice, etc, was $14. not sure who wants to pay that much for a bowl of rice and veggies and meat. might as well get the refillable bowl for $16, but was not in our budget. expect to spend at least $40 per couple!
