April h I love to eat at the birch wood. There food is always great no matter what you choose. And last year when we had a suprize 70th birthday party we choose birch wood to make the food and everything was great. If you want a good meal then this is the place to stop.
Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is water in a desert. With not much around we were looking for anything and found a gem. Everything is homemade. We had the soup (chicken noodle) and it was better than my grandma's (sorry grandma). Breakfast here is hardy with fresh ingredients. Great omelets and waffles. The burger was juicy and the bun was obviously made in house. All in all, this is a ma and pa joint that fits the bill for all tastes. We'll be back. Oh, and great service!
Very good and great service. Waitress was very efficient and ran the entire room with precision! Will come back!
Looks like a cute side of road place in northern michigan that would have good pasties. It is not. Do not stop here. The pasty was bland and boring, no sauce of any sort inside it (unlike in the photo). And it took forever. Apparently they have to individually heat each one. Don't have an oven big enough to heat even 4 at a time. Thought we were making a quick ten minute stop and it ended up being over a half hour. Also they dropped one on the ground. Please, for your own good keep driving past here.
