Was in from WI and was craving donuts. I was going to go to the grocery store, until I saw a review for toys place on Google. This us the pave to go for muffins or donuts. I bought one dozen, and most of them were still warm. Not to mention they had a great selection.

How is it that this place doesn't have a review? While there is an ongoing debate in the area as to where you can get the best pizza, this place has to be among the contenders and is definitely my top pick. A solid menu with some sandwiches, salads and a few other items that I am sure are very good but the highlight of the menu is the namesake pizza. A great pie baked on stones in ovens at just the right temp. A great crust, quality toppings and a good staff. My favorite is a simple pepperoni. The quality of a pizza joint's pepperoni pizza is the standard by which I make my first judgments and theirs is outstanding. The king supreme covers all the standard supreme topping and is a a great pie as well. They do sell individual slices for a buck and a half and two slices would make a decent quick lunch for most folks. Soda is also available and the turn around times on orders is usually pretty quick. Definitely my pick for best pizza in town. 4.6 stars

Rosy’s Diner

Reviews:
OK, that was the best cheap breakfast I've ever had. Actually, that might have been the cheapest best breakfast I've ever had. Rosy's is the quintessential greasy spoon, but a real one, not a faux diner. I had the garbage omlette, which is everything -- ham, homemade sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, everything. And it was big enough to keep me going for the rest of the day. My son had scrambled eggs and homemade sausage, plus biscuits and homemade sausage gravy. Are you hearing about the homemade sausage? That's because it's really, really good. And then there's Rosy, who is quite a lady. She doesn't hold back any opinions. Get there early enough to listen to her banter with the locals. That's almost as good as the food!
Fun place, Rosy is just great - friendly, talkative and funny. The food was totally comfort food breakfast - well cooked and tasty and served quickly. Definitely would go there often if I lived in the area.
Total and Complete Gem!!! Serving food with Love!! Came in hungry and left stuffed to the rim. From the eggs, to the hash all things are perfect and as they should be. The coffee is hot and the eggs are fresh. Highly recommend that all those who find themselves in the area head on over to Rosys' Diner; you will not be disappointed. The homemade Corn Beef Hash is out this world.

Delicious! Convenient enough to Hwy41 to be a good stop...messy eating though, so plan to eat there.

Great breakfast choice, good espresso. Ate breakfast here on a Saturday and came back on Monday while working in the UP. Unfortunately they don't open until 8AM (not 6AM). Fortunately, though I was 30 minutes early, they opened the doors and fed me anyway. Very reasonably priced- 3 eggs, hash browns, GF toast, side of fruit and well-brewed coffee for less than 10 bucks. If I lived up here, this would be a regular haunt.
This place is absolutely fabulous! Was in town visiting family and decided to stop in for lunch. If I lived here, I would eat here all the time! Service was great and the food was awesome!
What a little gem!!!! Food was fabulous with wonderful flavors! Can't wait to come back and try more :-)

Escanaba has limited options. I decided to go here because of the great reviews. When it comes to great reviews in Escanaba, keep in mind, there is a limited selection so beware. To start, walking in, the place had a not so nice smell to it. Should have headed the warning. I ate the Thai shrimp since it was highly recommended by the server. What it really was, was grilled shrimp with no seasoning, covered in sweet and sour sauce with microwaved rice. I ate it. Because I was starving. But $21????? For that??? More like a $10 meal. It was horrible. The service was good. The bread was OK, and the salad ... Well how can you f*** up a salad? Oh, also, there was a hair in my food. Yummy. Avoid at all costs!!!
We had pasta dishes that were good, but not great. The bread and salad were beautifully fresh. Especially surprising to find fresh lettuce in late September in the UP. We would go again.
Great place for lunch with terrific salads. They always have a nice soup and sandwich special. Dinners are good but the Early Bird specials at $12.00 every weeknight before 7 come with salad and desert and is wonderful value. A very nice spot for a quiet business lunch or a romantic dinner. The Pub downstairs is a good place to enjoy a beer or four and the same food upstairs is available downstairs.

Stopped for lunch had prime rib onion tings coffee and pecan pie. Service was friendly..pie was good sandwich was great. Bookmark this place.
We were out to dinner and thought we would try Drifters. It has recently changed hands and they were advertising for a new cook. It was 8:30 when we arrived and the menu is huge. This can sometimes be a bad sign. But we both ordered breakfast. My husband had an omelet it was very good. I had eggs overeasy they were done perfectly. The waitress was as nice as could be. Very efficient without being intrusive. The place was neat as a pin. We had a very nice experience.
It's off the highway thus the name. As a drifter, the name appealed to me. I was traveling da UP and got in the mood for a lil grub. Well I got the opposite. Their plates were part of the Paul Bunyan collection that Pier One never released...jk. Seriously disgusting portions. But that's what you have to do...now the food. Was it good? Kim had the veggie and liked it. Mom had fish with their homemade chips. Also big portions....I had a brat and a salad. Kind of the only time I've mixed a brat with a salad. The brat was ok. The salad had chicken, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes etc. Bla same shit everyone has. Place is clean...4 stars. I'd give it 3.5 but this is done on a national out of town scale. So when I mix the prices with atmosphere and quality of food it's a 3.

Awesome tasting Greek pizza. The dough was like eating warm bread sticks. Crunchy on the outside and soft and warm in the inside
Passing through town and stopped for lunch. Very nice on the inside; variety of seating options, high & low tables. Decent menu with a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads and burgers. The artichoke burger was delicious and made to order. Everything ordered was served hot. The wait staff was friendly; they were not especially busy, but service seemed a little slow. Overall, I would put this on my list of places to return if/when in town again.
One of the greatest burgers I've ever had, paired with some delightful homemade fries. The others in party had a chicken salad wrap with dried cherries, and a Caesar salad, and both gave rave reviews. A great spot for lunch with the family!

I went to this Wendy's restaurant with friends on an exceptionally hot day. I ordered a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and a large Lemonade. The Sandwich tasted great. However, it arrived with a large hand print in the bun. I can't imagine that assembling these sandwiches should require enough force to damage the bun like that. I loved the lemonade! It comes with a generous, yet reasonable, amount of ice. It was great after working with my friends in the sun for hours. I might visit this place again just for the lemonade!

Typical McDonalds , free wifi, coffee is okay, only reason I'm writing a review is because this is the first time in my life I've seen an all white wait staff at a fast food restaurant, thought it was peculiar, that is all.
