Fantastic service and food! Surprisingly vast menu, wide variety of choices for every taste. Dessert selection is also amazing! give this place a try, it's a place that you could adopt as your "place". Just love it!

Stopped by after going to Record Store day down the street at Melodies and Memories. I'd heard and read reviews that it was a good place to go to. Thanks Yelpers it certainly was. I ordered the steak and eggs and couldn't finish the steak, not because it wasn't good but because it was so big for a bfast steak. It had to be 14oz at least the menu said 9oz but no way. Cooked perfectly with pumpernickel toast eggs and hashbrowns. Like Michael C. said get homemade hashbrowns and it would have been 5 star.

Eating here, w a view on Gratiot was very enjoyable. This was actually our first time here, though they've been here for over 20 years!

Andary's gets it, :). A lot of places try for that "mom & pop neighborhood diner" type experience, but few (if any) can rival what is probably Eastpointe's favorite family restaurant. Good breakfast, you still get the pineapple slice on your standard 'breakfast special', friendly & efficient staff, great lunch/dinner specials, excellent desserts ... the whole nine yards, :). Don't get the "location isn't safe any longer" remark in a previous review ... half (or more) of the Eastpointe Police Department eats there/carry-outs pretty regularly ... it's probably more like you'd want to stay away from the place if you have any outstanding warrants or something ... just sayin', Let's be real ... it ain't like Eastpointe is 'Fort Apache' people, #rolleyes.

Probably the best value for your dollar in the whole city. The food is usually pretty good. It's not a five star place but you will definitely eat good for the money you spend. The staff is super friendly as well. Roast chicken dinner for $10 is crushing any fried chicken place in area.

Use to love going here for breakfast. Lovely family that owns it. Service is above and beyond expectations. Breakfast was always wonderful. Con: Location isn't safe any longer.

I enjoy going to Andary's every time for an early breakfast ... Bacon portions are abundant, rye toast is dense and toasty w a bit of butter, and redskins have good seasoning. Eating here always is a good start to my early day, particularly because the staff is friendly and attentive and always keepy coffee to the brim. :)

My hubby and I read reviews on this family restaraunt. Everything was very positive so we decided to give it a try. We can't wait to go back. Service was great, food delicious, and reasonably priced. The portions were more than adequate. I had the roast turkey dinner and my hubby had the veal parm. We ordered rice pudding for dessert and we shared it. Yum!!!!!! We will definitely be back,May be tomorrow : )

Great little diner. They serve breakfast all day and have huge portions, I posted a couple of picks from today, just take a look at the size of the salad. Many choices of food, good service and clean place.

Went here for breakfast the first time. Was A-OK; lots of people and service was good on a Sunday after Church.

So I ordered the French toast on someone's online recommendation of being "best French toast ever"... Had no flavor, came with fake syrup, and was so chewy, I had to cut it with a knife. Never had to do that before elsewhere. Along with that I had to order my eggs, sausage, and hash browns all separately. If I wanted to order them all separately, I would have gone to Denny's and ordered a Build Your Own Grand Slam AND gotten it cheaper. My partner got the fish and chips, said it was good and was in love with the steak fries. Service was was a 5 star because the waitress only came out to bring us the food and one other time to ask if everything tasted good. We like when waitstaff doesn't keep bugging us every 2 seconds, only catching us when our mouths are full. In a nut shell, as far as an "old person's" restaurant goes, I would come back, just not for breakfast. For a greater experience, go to Theo's on 13 and Hoover, or Andrea's Garden on 12 Mile and Bunert.

I went here for breakfast super early on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. Is it a world changing breakfast? No. Is it delicious and affordable while being a family atmosphere? Yes. I had eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns with orange juice. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was ample, and the hashbrowns only needed a little salt. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I'm planning on going back soon.

When it comes to family dining or great breakfasts, this is the place to go. Great food, prices, and the staff is fantastic. The only thing that I'd change here is to have homemade hash browns, but when it comes to a family diner, Andarys is the best place on the east side.

If you want quality family dining - then visit Andary's. I have had most of the items on the menu, and while I do not prefer their pierogis (too fried) - everything else is good grub. The staff is beyond attentive. Multiple people will ask if things are ok, clear your table etc. The owner always has a polite hello and runs a free ice cream special from time to time. While this is not a place to go to impress a date of course - it is a great spot to take Mom and Dad for decently priced food, selection and SERVICE. Definitely one of the best "family" restaurants in the Metro Detroit area. No doubt.

Finally found good fried fish! Their fried cod is the best I've found since moving to Michigan. Great staff, good prices, clean. Food over all is good. We'll be back!

This place is great! Great food, great prices, great staff. Mainly it's one of those home made places that don't follow anyone's recipe other than their own. Their spaghetti shows this with it's unique flavoring. The pea soup was delicious...and the salad was pretty good too. Not too long ago I had gone there with my mom and had an egg sandwich, also very good. My family and I have been going here for years, and I must saybtheir breakfasts are the best!

Andary's is one on my favorite places and for good reasons. The food is always good, served quickly so it's hot and tasty. The entire staff is friendly, and attenitive. Portions are large and reasonably priced with a variety to suit anyone's taste. It is always clean and most of the time there is even a small vase of fresh flowers on each table. I have to confess, after having their Gyro, you won't want to eat one anywhere else, the sauce is the best I've had anywhere. Breakfasts are always good and you can ask for things that aren't listed on the menu and they will gladly make it for you. I'm a big fan of chili omelets and they make a tasty one, even though it's not a standard menu item.

One of my favorite go to spots for breakfast or a quick inexpensive lunch. Everyone is friendly and they go out of their way to get you what you want. A few weeks ago I ordered banana-pecan pancakes. They had run out of pecans because it was toward the end of the usual breakfast time, rather than come and tell they couldn't make my order (which I would've been fine with the bananas and cream cheese filling without pecans or choosing something else) one of the cooks ran out to the grocery store for pecans to make my pancakes.

Andary's is one of those places where the regular's fill up the counter, the waitress calls you "Sweetie," and they keep your coffee cup filled to the brim! A large eclectic menu, tasty daily specials, and cheap prices make Andary's an easy, casual, diner. Your meal always comes with more food than you can finish (yay leftovers!) My only complaint: the waitress spilled italian dressing on my sweater the last time I was there... well, nobody's perfect. Update: Just ate at Andary's again. Waitress kept my sweater italian dressing free this time. Had the spaghetti. Pretty good - even better reheated the next morning :-)

I've been coming to Andary's for years, and when I went back to visit family this weekend, we decided to meet at Andary's on Sunday morning for breakfast. When we got there, we were one of three tables, and by the time we left, there was a short wait for a seat! They filled right up! We had 3 kids with us and they were able to eat off the kid's menu and actually get a kid sized meal. Nothing worse than getting a kid's meal only to find out that it's not even enough food for my 3yr old. The waitress was more than kind to my kids and I appreciate that. The wait for our food was very reasonable and everything was nice and hot. While we waited for our food, our coffee was filled more times than I can count by random waitresses walking by with a hot pot. My over medium eggs were perfect, the hashbrowns were cooked just a bit crispy how I like them, and my rye toast was brown not burnt. Most little diners like that run great breakfast specials during the week and then on the weekends you pay the full price. Andary's is no exception to this, but thankfully the full price menu is reasonably priced.

A few times a year I have breakfast with my dad. We make small talk for an hour ("these pancakes are good", "so how's Chicago?") and then go our separate ways until next time. I usually pick Coney because its cheap (dad's paying), close, quick, and offers basic diner food (dad's picky). This time dad said to meet him at Andary's. It's a basic diner and the menu, service, and decor reflect that. And, and I did not think this was possible, it's cheaper than Coney. Pancakes are under $3, I think my omelette was about $4.50. The food was okay, but nothing to get excited about. The toast came slathered in butter, my hash browns were a little undercooked, and they forgot the american cheese on my feta and american omelette.

They have good prices, the chicken noodle soup, and vegetable soup is very good, and so is the famous white cake. On the downside- the spagetti sauce tastes like ragu or worse- I'm italian and its the worst spagetti Ive ever had. The beef stew is good and so are the tuna melts. steak fries are good to add. If you get egg salad-dont get it on rye- their rye is very small slices and it wont fill you up. The staff is very good and friendly. The owner is a hoot, very funny and nice.If they mess up your order they will make it right. a good value for little money-just dont order the "american style" spagetti. Trust me...
