When we first pulled up to Lenny Miller's we were excited because the place looked cool. As soon as we walked in the door, we smelled a whiff of what seemed like dirty diapers mixed with a nursing home. Thought maybe the smell would go away but after we sat down it was unbearable. The awful smell combined with the pricey menu sent us out the door. It reminded me of visiting my grandma in the nursing home. It's unfortunate because even if the food was good, the smell completely ruined it.

Decent food and big portions. Recommend getting soup and salad bar, it's amazing. However the menu has never changed in the 15-16 years I have been going there; really wished they updated the menu for latest tastes.

My family goes to every holiday buffet they offer and the food cannot be beat. The decor is kind of outdated, but you won't notice it after you taste your food. My two favorites are crispy cod and angus roast beef, both of which can be ordered from the menu and are also part of the holiday buffets. The bread in the basket on your table is cheese bread with nuts and seeds in it. The service is always excellent and they make you feel at home.

My father has been taking our family to Lenny Millers for over 20 years now. The food and decor are reflective of the area in the best way possible. A few things that stand out: *The noodles in the soup on the salad bar are made from scratch *They salad bar in general is heavenly-well stocked, fresh, homemade items *Anything fried will be delightful as they use the fluffiest beer batter *My mother has never sent a piece of prime rib back here-a rare feat for any restaurant *The bread basket is entirely homemade and contains slices of rustic breads, pumpernickel and blueberry muffins I would describe this place as upscale comfort food priced for a country crowd. The service has always been above acceptable to outstanding and you get a nice view of the country if you sit by the windows. They have a full bar as well. I've never tried dessert as I've always reserved that tummy space for an extra trip through the salad bar. They also handled a funeral luncheon for us recently and I got to meet Lenny himself. I don't know if I was more impressed by the way he handled the catering arrangements or the way he handled our loss. Everyone raved about the food both in terms of quality and the chafing dishes remaining full despite a crowd of almost 200 people.

Actually 5800 E. Dryden Rd - the name of the road changes about four times on the way there. it's main st in the village but outside the village it is Dryden Rd. The restaurant is about a mile or so outside (east) of the village of Dryden. It is basically a huge old barn converted into a restaurant, with a fireplace, dance floor, SMALL elevated stage (looks like they do kareoke or square dancing or something). It is very rustic - I think I smelled manure on someone's boots as I was walking in the place). They use garden veggies (from out back, I presume) on their salad bar. The cucumbers were huge. The creme of mushroom soup was to die for!! so delicious. The service was blah. We used a restaurant.com coupon here, as we typically do when exploring a new place, if one is available. If you are like me in doing so, beware that they are a sticklers on the wording of the coupon, so the $25 off a $40 purchase coupon we used really was not worth the hassle for the two of us. Maybe it would be if you had more than two people in your party, or unless you are both ordering crab legs or filet mignon. still, They restrict it to ONLY food, so your drinks or anything else are not included in the required tally to be able to use the coupon (obviously, no matter where you go, alcohol is always excluded, but we didn't have any of that), so we had to buy a $6 piece of dessert cake in order to be over the $40 mark (we were at $38 prior). I had the panfried lake superior whitefish and my companion had the filet mignon. Both were delicious. Anyways, overall I would have to say 3 stars.

My husband and I have always enjoyed Lenny Millers until yesterday. I ordered the pork chops and found them to be on the dry side. My husband ordered the blackened salmon served on a bed of Cajun rice. He started to devour his food when he noticed a weird taste so he started sniffing the different foods and realized the rice was spoiled. Being hungry he finished everything else on his plate but left the rice alone which had sausage in it. BIG MISTAKE!!! Anyways......when he pointed it out to the server she stated,"I will let Lenny know". After sitting there for awhile and no Lenny we Just paid for our food and left. Unfortunately he spent the rest of the night ....guess where? I understand that these things happen, but I have a problem when you spend almost $50.00 for a meal and the chef can't come out to apologize, offer a replacement or a discount.

I love the food and atmosphere here. I'm from a big city that doesn't have a lot of little family restaurants so when I come back to visit family this is always a stop. The chicken alfredo is amazing and my husband calls the penne his death bed food. They have local beers to fall in love with. Try the Dragons Meade from Warren. The specials are always interesting and Lenny Miller also seats you himself. It is a wonderful experience that everyone should try.

Lenny's will forever be my all time favorite, growing up and spending summers and weekends less than a mile away, my family has been eating at Lenny's since the day the doors opened. The Chicken Noodle soup that is served every Sunday is made entirely from scratch, the salad bar is always stocked with farm fresh veggies usually from local farmers. Plus the fresh baked bread with the sunflower seeds baked in is to die for.(plus now that they do breakfast, it makes amazing french toast!) Everything Lenny turns out is mouth watering, and near perfection in my book. They put on buffets for all the usual holidays (mother's day thanksgiving Easter etc.) and the spread usually includes these amazing rosemary dill potatoes, and of course prime rib and honey baked ham or a turkey. They have a Monster Cookie on the dessert menu, also a must try for two or more people definitely. It's a huge chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven with gobs of french vanilla ice cream chocolate sauce whipped cream and of course cherries. I usually go make the drive from Royal Oak to Dryden once a week or so to see family and a trip to Lenny's is mandatory, if we're going just to grab a few beers, or a full blown dinner, I've never left disappointed or met anyone with anything bad to say about this place. Lenny runs a great place and is always around to answer anyone's questions or plan any body's banquet. Chad the bartender is hilarious and Cindy is my favorite of all, always with a smile and a sassy comment. I know this all sounds biased but when you've been going someplace as good as this for 20 years it's hard not to love everything =)

Freshest Salad bar I have ever had the pleasure of devouring! Seriously, I could go and just eat soup, salad, and their amazing breads! The entrees are exciting as well... Crab stuffed Tilapia with a hollandaise sauce......something to that effect....it was awesome, awesome, awesome... This place is a total find....
