This is a corner cafe located in the heart of the Sister's Lakes Michigan area on M-152. It has cackling good eggs as well as biscuits and gravy. The Friday all you can eat fish fry was a treat. Country fresh hearty food after a day of fun in the sun really hits the spot. The service is good and the place is clean as a whistle.

It is hard to beat a place that has good food and great prices. We placed a to go order for the whole family because after Thanksgiving no one felt the urge to cook again. I ordered a double bacon burger with cheesy tater tots. The burger was big. I easily could have survived on a single. It was smothered in cheese, and topped with a lot of bacon. The burger tasted good. I love tater tots. It is one of lifes simple pleasures in my world. Add cheese to them and I am quite happy. All of the food is quite cheap. You get a lot for your money. The rest of the family seemed quite pleased with their food as well.

Absolutely horrible. Got seated and ignored for at least 15 minutes. Had to ask host for a server. Saw him speak to her and her openly yelling at him in middle of restaurant. Knew this was a bad sign. Got served stale bread and warm beer finally and told we are obviously used to drinking it this way. Was offered ICE to put in beer! What? Specifically asked what were our best meals to order since we had an hour. Ordered a salad and the special pasta. Served our Calamari appetizer. On menu for $9 and worth $1.99. Obviously out of a bag of overly salted, over processed frozen food and passed off as a high end appetizer. Luckily we ordered that because the horrible, snotty waitress never came back to our table and we never got our dinners either. When we finally flagged her down she was a total B$@)& and had the nerve to tell us that she never promised we'd be served. Again, WhAT? We got up and walked out. Who do these people think they are? I guess this unprofessional behavior, warm beer, stale bread, hot, melted slimy butter and horrible food works in small town MI. In Chicago you better get ready to go out of business. Forget this over priced, pompous, joke of a place and grab a Whopper at the local Burger King. You will be glad you did!
Very nice restaurant for the area. Came here around 8pm with my boyfriend and his parents. We were seated promptly at a nice booth and served drinks. The building is very historic and I enjoyed listening to the history of the building. This place also plays live music which was a nice touch. We were served a load of bread and pita before our dinner which is always good. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara which was very tasty and was topped with lots of bacon. The others ordered the filet special which was topped with Gorgonzola cheese and served with sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes which was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Overall I would say the food was very good and the waitress was attentive. The food is pretty expensive for the area; however, I believe they attract the crowds who come to enjoy their summer home on the weekends. I would come back again and recommend it to others.
Let me just say amazing pizza BUT way over priced I ordered 2 pizzas which only come in 8" size, personal pizza, was not told the price then upon arrival was charged $27! 2 personal sized pizzas with one topping should NOT cost me that much! I'll enjoy the taste for sure but I will not being going back for that price

Great atmosphere & waitress was absolutely fabulous. Food was very good, they have a variety on their menu something for everyone. It was our first time there & we will definitely be going back to try other things on their menu.
Great food at a great price. The atmosphere is outstanding, old English is awesome. Service was great and i will be going there more.
I've been to Zekes a lot. I like Zekes. It's a nice family restaurant their menu reminds me of a much homier version of T.G.I. Fridays but better and not commercialized. It's a nice laid back place to go in groups, family outtings, or just for two people.

You are limited in your choices in Dowagiac, so beggars can't be choosy! The food is fairly good but service is almost always slow. It really depends on your waitress. It's almost like they know they have the market cornered so to speak and as a result don't put much effort in improving their service. That being said - I'm going there tonight for dinner lol.
Nice cozy place. It's a bar with decent food, no complaints here. They were busy, and service was just fine. Waitresses were friendly. I'll be back.
This Bar is super charming. However three of us went there for lunch and had to wait literally one hour for two appetizers and one and a half hours for our three meals. The appetizers and ended up being good, the food was mediocre. The menu had a pretty good selection on it and the price is very reasonable. I would come back again if they can improve the cook time. This place has a lot of potential since it is one of the few actual restaurants in the city .

What is there not to like about a bar with Christmas lights in July? Jim and Meg provide fast courteous service and a healthy pour.
We tried. Expectations were low, but they still disappointed. Drinks weak. Food cold. Portions small. Forgot salads. Over priced garbage. Stay at the cottage, cook your own food.
My second time here on our vacation in the same week and I am in love! One of the best pizzas I have had. Great staff and great service!

I've been to many a Subway in my travels, but this one is particularly poorly managed. Frequently under-staffed with the few employees working a lunch rush scrambling to cover multiple areas. Avoid this one during the rush hours.
