Good flat bread pizza, horrible service. We had to wait 40 minutes and then ask for water. Our order took forever to come and when it did none of us got dressing with our food. We each got a half glass of water and that was it. Maybe this place would be better if we had gotten it to go. Lol

I have been going to Foggy's restaurant for 20 years foggy and his boys do a fantastic job of taking care of the snowmobiling crowd the trails are smooth coming and going from there the grill your own steak is a great idea and he always has top-quality meet

Not the greatest atmosphere, particularly when the roof is leaking through the ceiling and dripping all over the windowsill behind you while you eat. The interior of the place is rundown and dingy. The waitress was sporting shorts and a t-shirt in the winter and showing off an unattractive amount of muffin top; you would think the manager would want the employees to have a more acceptable appearance. Speaking of employees, several young females stood around at the hostess stand discussing their personal lives the whole time we were there. The food was acceptable, but expensive ($26 for NY strip, $17 for whitefish). They have a grill-your-own option for the steak, which is $2 cheaper than if the kitchen cooks it for you. When we ordered, the waitress said the grill was not lit yet for the do-it-yourself, and asked if it was OK if the kitchen cooked it. Of course, when the bill came I noticed that I got charged the higher price. When we questioned it, she said they had gotten the grill ready in time (mind you, we had ordered our meals and received and eaten our salads before they even began the process of getting the grill ready). We were planning on going back the next day to try the ribs, but that won't be happening.

If your 2nd cousin from the upper peninsula of Michigan ran a restaurant, it would be this one. I was staying at the White Pine Lodge and walked the short distance straight across the not busy 2 lane highway for dinner. As others have noted - from the outside it looks like any Midwest small town old fashion bar&thrill. In fact I entered from door nearest the highway and you walk into a typical bar area. However in the back is a very large dinner area. It's not really a "cozy" place - typical bar type tables with no real privacy on what looks to be a dance floor originally. The table lighting is awkward (slightly too harsh) and the overall ambiance is more like a Midwest bar. HOWEVER the very unique feature is the large indoor Charcoal BBQ grill they fire up at 5pm. I arrived late 9pm but the coals were still perfect for steak. You pick your own steak out of the fridge and for $2 off the price you cook your own! They had 6 different seasoning jars you could use in addition to the garlic butter they had warm on the grill. It's worth eating here just for the unique experience of cooking your own steak "at your 2nd cousins bar & grill pub". I had a huge rib eye, with sautéed mushrooms and onions, a baked potato and a salad with greens and onions with Cesar dressing, plus two summer shanty beers. Bill was $38 without tip. The staff was super friendly and one of the other patrons came up a chatted with me while I was grilling my rib eye. Summary - pricey but great steak and a unique grill it yourself experience. Folksy staff. If the chef is around get a tip from him on how to season your steak.

Good selection of bottled beers and we had a 16" hand tossed pizza. The pizza was ok to good and the service was very friendly. Off the beaten path and pub food but not a bad experience at all.

It's a challenge to find a restaurant open past 8p in this area and Foggy's did not disappoint. My sons had half pound burgers that they loved and my husband enjoyed some local whitefish. He said it was super good. What makes this restaurant unique is the indoor charcoal grill. I ordered the bourbon steak and for $2 off, I cooked it myself. It was delicious!!!! Thumbs up!

Prime ribs Saturday was good, and you still have the option to cook your own meat at the charcoal grill.

Took 2.5 hours from the moment we arrived until paying for the meal and leaving. Waitress we had was funny and nice, but the wait for the quality of the food was not worth my time. Whitefish was excellent, but definitely wouldn't recommend a steak for anyone. The steaks were not cooked right, the burgers were not fit for even canine consumption.

The service was incredible, but the food was disappointing. If you are looking for a dive bar this is the place! The beer was cold and they served both 16 and 22oz glasses. We ordered mozerella sticks as an appetizer, which came to the table quickly and were average. They were served with marinara sauce which tasted more like tomato sauce then marinara. For dinner we got the walleye and the whitefish. Both dinners came with a salad and soup. The soup was flavorless, but had huge chunks of chicken in it! The meals were decent but nothing to write home about.

Big. Portions. Solid service. Delicious food. Have to agree with others...looks like a dive from the outside. It isn't tho. Recommend.

Understaffed , one waitress/bar tender running the whole show. 2 hours to get our food and restaurant was far from packed. Waitress said our order didn't go through ....... 40 minutes later .... Says its cooking and will be out shortly....... 15 minutes later I receive the worst bar burger I've ever had. Was looking forward to "the yooper " and was majorly let down. Would not recommend this place unless you're just looking to order something deep fried.

Really really good food. You definitely can't judge a book by its cover here. Looks like a hole in the wall bar but the food and service is excellent.

Arrived into Christmas late and had a very good thin crust pizza and local beers. Good ffod, drinks and outstanding service. We would recommend to anyone looking for a bar that serves great pizza.

Ate here while camping at Bay Furnace camp ground. Nice beer selection. Fish and chips were some if the best ever. Great service (at least in the bar area) and a friendly staff. I don't get to this area often, but I return I will be back to Foggy's.
