Quaint atmosphere with good food; I had a cheeseburger & the Mothership had a BLT and the soup of the day. The burger was very good- just what one would expect from a place like Walt's! The lemon meringue pie was good, though not great. However, Walt's is very reasonably priced so for the $ it was about right.

Server seemed either very timid and or grouchy. Reasonably priced. Food was very "meh".

Their food is fine, but there's no excuse for not accepting credit cards. They give credit card readers away for free nowadays & only charge processing. If you are willing to forego business over the small fee for processing (and willing to inconvenience the majority of people who use debit / credit cards aka 'adults') then you don't deserve to be in business.

Great place to eat breakfast. Had a ham egg and cheese croissant and my friend has sausage egg and cheese muffin and it was wonderful. The waitress was friendly and it came out fast.

Sassy, quick servers. Homestyle food and hearty portions. Donuts are must have! I believe this cash only... but with the line of people waiting it is evident this is a must have in Caseville! Yum!

I don't know if walts has air-condition but man this place was sweating hot when we went here for breakfast. I been to some hole in the wall places so im not a snob if you have great food i dont care what your Restaurant looks like. if your not used to well water don't order a glass of water trust me. I ordered an orange juice nothing quality or spectacular and it was room temperature. The breakfast special eggs toast potato and sausage links. Eggs and toast and potatoes were great the sausage links were mostly just all fat. Other people here seemed to enjoy the food. It wasn't my kinda place. The poor waitstaff foreheads were full of sweat from the heat. It kinda turned me off. I can't say I'd come back, unless they get some air condition and a little bit better quality product. Like some better oj , sausage and coffee. The other reviews of this place were great that's why we went here. We didn't see any fresh preserves or homemade toast.

Went for breakfast ...busser gal who got our drinks was nice...old lady waitresses not so much. First when I went to order corned beef hash the server piped back with... " we'll it's gonna be a while for that so when everyone else is getting their orders first don't be surprised that yours isn't ready yet..." I then ordered something else...a breakfast burrito...mine no peppers my wife's no onion or peppers... The other waitress took the ketchup off our table to give to another table & when our food came up we couldn't get a ketchup to save our lives. Third time asking the waitress shushed me! Are you kidding me?!? Went to finally start eating and they switched our orders. The burritos were the size of a soft shell taco at Taco Bell to top it off. We left there angry and still hungry....not impressed at all!

Solid breakfast meats, GREAT homemade toasting bread and the service is fun with a side of smart ass...my eggs were so so. But if you're staying in town you've gotta stop in at least once. And if you're a NASCAR fan this place is like a little shrine with memorabilia covering the walls. Uber inexpensive too!

I can't believe I've never reviewed this before! We went to Walt's for breakfast again this morning. We made it early enough to beat the church crowd in, although we did get the last available table when we happened to arrive. Two out of three of the waitresses working today have been there more than 30 years! I had an omelette, and my hubby and daughter had the pancakes. It was good food, and exactly what we ordered and expected. I have to add that the cinnamon rolls ordered by the table next to us looked really awesome. The menu says they're homemade, and I'm craving one now. I wasn't a big fan of the Nascar decor, and my daughter was a bit bothered by the noise level, but not enough to stop us from going again.

Good home cooking, and I mean home cooking. From the homemade toast to homemade preserves YUM. Cheap and tasty, homemade corned beef has with eggs and toast $5.95. And the waitress's you better bring your A-game to respond to the wisecracks cause man your gonna get it if your a newbie. But, she remembers you even from a few years ago. LOVE this place.

I love me some breakfast and this was a solid breakfast place. I'm not a local or a native, just a visitor brought by my new-family-in-law-to-be for breakfast. Friendly waitresses who shoot their mouth off to regulars and strangers. Nascar gear is the decor. The coffee was refilled, HOMEMADE toast and breakfast. What more can I say?

Solid greasy spoon breakfast joint. The homemade toast sets Walt's apart from the rest, along with the Nascar decor. Though you need to ask for the homemade stuff (they aren't wasting it on the tourists). REPEAT. You need to make sure you get the HOMEMADE toast. BTW it's where all the true locals eat. Get a taste of the local flavor.

What are we stopping for? "This place looks good." What place? "Right there" You sure? "Get out of the truck!" And so we walked into a very small place on the main drag of tiny Caseville, Michigan. Walt's Restaurant, is one of the family places I always talk about, but for some reason this place was not hitting me right as I looked at it from the street. When we got inside, one thing was slightly apparent. These people have a serious NASCAR love affair! I thought this building had been pulled from the center of Michigan International Speedway and transplanted in Caseville. We sat down at the front window to watch a car drive by every 10 minutes or so. There were 5 people inside not including us and the waitress. In other words half the town. Our waitress came up and suggested the daily special, which on this day was Goulash. I hadn't seen Goulash in ages so my buddy and I both ordered it. With the lunch came a side of soup and fresh baked rolls. Ok... I am becoming a more happy camper, due to the thought of having Goulash for the first times in years. After a bit of a wait, our cup of soup came to us. Home made Chicken Noodle. Just a tad cooler than the surface of the sun, but none the less very good. Not long after we finished, came out the main attraction. I had set myself to not be bummed out by the size or the taste. I mean no one meats my Mom's Goulash. Well when she used to make it when I was a kid. Well the plate was big. and the Goulash filled every bit of it and then some. This was a really large serving! Ok it's gonna taste like crap then... But oh no! Wrong on every count with this place! The Goulash was amazing! I mean really amazing! All the more with the addition of Parmesan cheese on the top. I could not finish the meal and had to ask for a doggy bag. Add to this meal the amazing conversation we heard between the regulars and the waitress about last nights town play of "The Nutcracker" and the waitress's performance, really made for quite an enjoyable setting. I really have to learn to not be so snarky at times. Oh by the way the meal was just 4.95!

It is a very small restaurant with people waiting out the door. Most people were sharing their tables. The food was very good, we had breakfast there today. Rachel was our server and she was fine.

First they don't accept ccards at all and don't mention it. The waitress mentioned that it happens all the time....SO why don't you put up a sign???oh that's right cause people would probably go somewhere else!! Second the restaurant smells funky and I went in during the winter. The food is ok nothing special.
