Still love this place. Every time I have a day off my daughter and I go in even if it's just for a coffee. It's always clean. The staff is very friendly, the coffee is great, the food is fresh and the artwork changes frequently so there's always a beautiful gallery of work to view.

To give a little back story, this used to be a tiny little deli on Burnside St, but was sold to new owners about a year ago. Not only have they been able to keep the tradition of the old menu with a few alterations, but the new venue is incredible. The renovations blew my mind away! On the menu they have over 40 different kinds of subs. If you like olives and feta, try the angry bird; it's my mom's favorite. I love that they also have salads and rotating soups as well as some more kid friendly options. I've been going to the old venue since I was a kid, so it was nice to see that they have so many cheese and bread options as well as a nice assortment of meats for more adult tastes. One of the biggest changes was in the addition of the coffee menu and the baked goods. Tricia's fresh made cinnamon rolls are to die for. The icing is plentiful but not overbearing, the cinnamon is fresh tasting, and the bun is doughy and buttery. It's cozy, inviting, and delicious. Check it out! They're on facebook too.

This deli has a wonderful history in Caro, MI. I've been enjoying the salads and sandwiches here for many years. The new location is awesome, and the decor is outstanding! The atmosphere is very nice; it's a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee. There's even nice outdoor seating adjacent to the building. The only major setback is the recent menu change. The two sandwiches I have tried have been small and overpriced for what is received. The old menu had so many amazing choices, and you could basically create your own sandwich with any assortment of meats and cheeses, with overflowing fillings and condiment choices. Those days are over, it seems. There is not a very wide selection on the new menu, and the value for the price has decreased. In addition, since they have updated their menu, it would be nice if those sandwiches and wraps could be toasted or grilled somehow to add to the end product. Please bring back my old Intermission Deli!

I work in Caro, and have gotten tired of the same fast food chains. Stopped here and got "The Roxy", a turkey, provolone cheese, avocado, lettuce and chipotle mayo (added bacon), and a cup of chicken noodle soup. Great sandwich and soup! Awesome taste. Definitely will be back. Only voted 4 stars bc I have tried my Caramel Chai yet, but I'm sure it will be just as great. Update: tried caramel chai, upgraded to 5 stars: it is PHENOMENAL!

Lovely little coffee shop on the main drag in Caro. Super friendly service, really good dark roast, a very reasonable price! If I had more time, I'd have sat on the comfy chairs. I'll be back in town and I'll try the food, the coffee was delish!

The only thing good about the "new" Intermission Deli is the building upgrade. They did a great job on renovations & it has a very cool vibe. That's the only thing good I have to say about it & the reason for my one star. Words of advice: Don't ever use them to "cater" ( I use the term very loosely here) an event! When they first re-opened & before I knew any better, I used them to cater a medium sized event (150 people). While the initial planning part seemed to go pretty smoothly & I felt confident in their catering menu, prices I was quoted, & selections, that came to a screeching halt when it came time to deliver. An hour before the event I had to send my boyfriend there to pick up the food as they could no longer deliver it as promised, "they were running short-staffed". No biggy, things happen, I can get over that. However, what I can't get over is, when my boyfriend brings the food back & it's all wrong! Not only did they screw the order all up, they had it doubled. So you'd think, who cares, extra food. WRONG! He then hands me the receipt & I about cried! Not only did they charge me for double the food I ordered, they charged me off the regular priced menu instead of the catering menu, which was suppose to be significantly less! Imagine a bill for 400 of their most expensive sandwiches!!! I called right up there, explained the situation & was told that I'd have to talk to the female manger to get it fixed, who I set this entire thing up with, but she wasn't in & they didn't know anything about it. Left my name & phone # & she was suppose to call me back. Okay...not going to let it ruin the event. Monday roles around, never heard from her, stopped in there. Husband tells me she's out for the week but she was at home & would be able to call me. Again, left my name & phone. Week 2, no call, stopped in again, still not there...& this time it was obvious I was being avoided. Asked that she please call me, it was very important. Week 3, called there, she couldn't come to the phone, left a message with whoever answered. Needless to say, I was never acknowledged or got a call back. I was never rude, never asked for a full refund even though the only thing they got right was the coffee; I just wanted for it to be acknowledged that they messed up & straighten out the extra charges. It's really sad to see what use to be a local go-to be ruined by poor management, bad service, & less than mediocre food! I have not stepped foot in this place since nor will I ever. And I am sure to tell everyone of my experience. Shame on them

The intermission brings class to a town that really needs it. We've got umpteen restaurants here and about 2 that are worth visiting. This is one of them.

I desperately want to like this place, but unfortunately their careless service does not allow that. I have been here approximately 20 times since their grand opening a year ago. The trendy industrial decor alone would earn a five star rating. Amazingly though, every one of my orders has been messed up. You would think it's impossible to mess up 20 out of 20 orders but believe me it is very possible . I became fed up and stopped coming. 3 months ago I gave the place another chance. I walked in and ordered a rueben and asked if my bread could be toasted (the last one I ordered was surprisingly microwaved). I was told "we usually don't do that but since we're not busy...". Once my finely toasted sandwich was assembled, it was then, much to my dismay, placed in a styrofoam container and microwaved, despite my request. This led to the soggy, chemical laced bread that I originally wanted to avoid. My lovely wife pulled me out of there before I could express my frustration and we vowed never again. This leads me to yesterday. Somehow we end up in the deli and decide to split a sandwich. The order was again completely backwards. What was supposed to be a roast beef, turkey and ham, ended up being a turkey and salami. When I asked if the sandwich had roast beef, the staff looked confusingly back at me, read the receipt aloud which contained said roast beef, and then placed a sliver of roast beef on the sandwich. We were the only customers in the store and yet still the staff could not pay attention enough to get an order correct. I am very into supporting local businesses but unfortunately my money will continue to go towards a franchise (subway) because at least they pay attention to my order... I will add that the cookies are delicious.

Great deli! The food is fabulous. something just seems to be missing from the old shop. Maybe I'm just too nostalgic....

Our latest trip to the deli... drove 20 minutes for it, finally get back, and THERES NO MEAT IN OUR SANDWICH. How do you even screw up that bad? Worthless.

Full disclosure, the managers of this place are my cousins, but that said, this is by far the best food choice in town by far. I only get up to the thumb area a couple times a year and today was my first taste of the Intermision. I took Josh's recommendation for rhe Angry Bird sub, and loved it, although it was enough for 2 people. Wisconsin cheese soup was also perfect for a rainy day, and the coffee was really well done. Lastly, the decor is cool - hip and trendy without being pretentious or too up market for a community hang out. Overall a really well executed place.
