Perfect bar food / nice atmosphere / prices right on the money / food excellent. We came here because of yelp reviews and were not disappointed.

Great food from a local place. Tables far enough apart so its not crowded. Free meal on your birthday.

Visiting the Brooklyn/Jackson area again and stopped in for dinner, 4 adults and 4 kids on Martini night again. Still $2.99 martinis! Again great wait staff- good teamwork and good food. I had fish and chips and they were as good as any in the area. Kids were happy, adults were happy with their burgers. Still a great area option.

I am a fan with major concerns about the excessive noise level. This place is trying to appeal to all ages of people, families, old-timers etc. However the din and loud voices made it very difficult to hear the people in our group. We went twice in the past week; we were there from out of town. Food was good but it was almost painful to hear or be heard. Why wouldn't the builders/engineers design the place with better sound levels? It is small and feels crowded. There are restaurants at the nearby lakes that we will go to next time until the noise issue is resolved - it was tough to enjoy our meals. Big Boy nearby would be better, not for the food but for the peace and quiet.

I have eaten here several times and each time I keep hoping the food will improve. Everybody raves how great it is but its always disappointing. Todays blunder was the steak salad. Romaine what there was of mostly rusty iceburg lettuce was soaking wet. YUK!!! That was the last straw.

JR's is a new restaurant in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is a strange town. It's touristy in the summer, but dead in the winter. The only restaurant to have survived of any length is Big Boy which is not because of the food (obviously) but some mystical enchantment on the property. Anyway, I digress. In a town of rotating restaurants, I really hope that JR's makes it for the long haul. JR's has a few things going for it: - It's a local chain - It's got a liquor license - It's a nice space - It has good food, nothing special, but it's good JR's is open and airy. It's got a bit of a "lodge" feel with the high ceilings and wood everything. There is a bit of the ubiquitous NASCAR memorabilia that you cannot escape in Brooklyn. The menu consists of burgers, sandwiches, pasta, soup, salad and mexican fare. The fancier dinner items are steaks, chicken and seafood dishes. I tried the olive burger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. The best part is that every day of the week is a new special. There are both food and drink specials. The drink specials vary but include $2.99 Martini's, Margaritas and Long Island Iced Teas. The service was nice and friendly. We got our food very quickly. The place was full on a Friday night which is great to see in Brooklyn. I would definitely return.

I loved the eagerness of the server. "I am here to give you great service" she stated right away. Also, the other servers chip in and make sure all guests have what they need. I had the trio platter. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the ribs were decent. Not out of this world, but solid. We will definitely return when in the area. Well worth the money.

Overcooked 1/2 inch thick, piece of 18 dollar shoe leather. Topped with a very small, slimmy, and cold portion of sauted onions and mushrooms.

Wanted to like this place as I've been to the one in Adrian. The service first off was very short and rude. Waitress kept rushing us. Food was okay, it was hot but extremely bland. The chicken Baja soup had no tortillas and was too spicy (those would have helped that.). The inside is very much like a hall, too wide open. Probably will stick to the Adrian one instead. Edit... I must say everyone was very nice except our waitress. She even waited at the table for a tip... That's rude.
