I'm going to run out of ways to say homemade and fresh and natural and... Awesome! How's that for another way?

I'm not a fan of southern food, but as southern food goes, this was great. The sweet bread was awesome.

Oh, this place is painfully charming. Hokey but delicious, the breakfast is better than you'd expect with homemade biscuits and a surprisingly delicious corned beef hash. Worth a visit if you're in Lenawee county.

Really has a little bit of everything. Standard menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Gotta try their breadsticks. similar to a dessert bread. Homemade pies! friendly people.

Another Ohio-MI trip, another diamond in the rough. (Or farm fields). Homemade bread is a must. Staff is friendly and very easy on the eyes. Four stars simply because I had such an incredible 5 star lunch yesterday fresh on my mind. There are definitely 5-star items on this menu, so look for future visits!

This is a quaint little gem in the middle of antique country. It's like the northern version of the south's 'Meat and three' meals. You can get an entree and 3 sides. Thankfully the portions aren't huge so you can enjoy all the choices. What is unique is that for one of the sides you can get a half of a small loaf of their home baked bread, served up warm. I had the apple bread and it was, Mmm, mmm, good! If you get a craving for fried green tomatoes, okra or just some good 'ole home cooked meals, you won't be disappointed here.

Stopped in on the way home from Toledo! My husband and I tried this restraunt together for the first time, walked through the doors and felt instant comfort. Good food, good portions, and good prices. It made me miss my mom!

UPDATE: Since this review has been written we've stopped in to find the prices have been raised quite a bit, almost comically. The soup and bread are no longer complimentary with the dinners nor are the sundaes with the kids meal. Of course this doesn't change the quality of the food they do serve, which is pretty great, but anytime a place raises the cost of their meals and at the same time, lessens the amount of food you get with the price increase, it's a huge huge dick move. I won't be recommending this place to anyone any longer, except to bitch about the price increase. *** Easily our favorite restaurant in Lenawee County, Michigan, maybe even in the entire state. With picnic tables to sit in, mason jars to drink from, and fresh baked breads to get your meal started, everything about Beckey's feel like country. It served as the inspiration for Kehoe's Kountry Kitchen in Barry Graham's novel, Nothing or Next to Nothing. We've eaten just about everything on this menu full of traditional Midwest American fare. The fried chicken is killer, juicy meat, crispy skin. Black Mountain meatloaf. House steak. Country fried steak. Chicken and biscuits. Fish. The only thing we weren't crazy for was the roast beef. Sides and appetizers never disappoint. Mashed potatoes with your choice of gravy. Fried okra. Mac and cheese. Green beans with bacon. Peppered cheese balls. Everything spot on and delicious. The most amazing thing, for us, was the quality of the food, combined with the generous portion sizes, and better than expected prices. Nothing was overpriced, even the monster sized burgers. Home made soups and fresh baked breads were included with the meal. Damn good soups and breads too. Maybe our favorite part of the meal. Apple cinnamon, zucchini, pumpkin, etc. Full flavor. Served hot. Soups vary by day and they all taste pretty great. Service is great. Cozy, country atmosphere. Refills and waitresses show up when they should. People know each other. It's that kind of place. Waitresses and customers are all friendly and beautiful. I know this place sounds too good to be true. Like a hometown throwdown country classic utopia that none of us deserve. And maybe that's exactly what it is. Stop at Beckey's Kountry Kitchen in Blissfield, Michigan and find out for yourself that we aren't full of shit.

Stopped in while on a business trip. Friendly wait staff, quick service, good food. Served their specialty breads with lunch. Way too much too eat- portions were huge. Everything appeared homemade.
