There was a bit of a wait, but it was totally worth it. Best cherry pie EVER! Don't expect a huge portion; it's just enough for you to be craving more. I had to mention this first because it was the main event, but the rest of the food is very good, too! Get their cherry-ade, it's yummy, doesn't need a lemon slice. I got the 1/3 burger cooked medium, the perfect size and tasted delicious. I added cherry salsa and onions. Next time I would have left out the onions, not necessary, took away from the salsa, which was very good. And lastly, cherry pie a la mode. You'll have a pie-gasm, pie lovers. Incredible! The service was incredibly sugary sweet and they all have to wear cheesy red dresses. Poor girls. The Hut is only open in the summer, so get a couple pies and freeze em!

Our family of 4 are at the cherry hut for lunch. It has an up north reputation but I thought it was a little lack luster. The food was ok and the server was slow and distracted. Just thought it was ok overall.

We stopped in to have cherry pie. I thought it was great! It was warm, fresh and tart. My husband thought it tasted like cherry pie filling from a can. We also bought jam and dried cherries to take home. The restaurant was built in 1922 and looks like it hasn't been updated in at least 40 years but it has a super homey feel.

Get the cherry burger. It's juicy, tasty, and, 65 percent less fat than their normal burger and you can barely detect the cherries. Nice atmosphere and Gwen Frostic placemat (pictured) is a nice Northern Michigan touch. Good value. Not easy to keep a restaurant open for ninety-three years.

It's a classic so it's a five star for it's specialty: cherry pie. Everything else is typical diner food that isn't terribly special but if you're a tourist like me, you came here for all things cherry. Don't mess with it. They're known for their pie. Add on the House cherry-Ade if you're not a coffee drinker. We always go out of our way to stop here when up north.

My parents first came here on their honeymoon 65 years ago. They brought me here as a small child in the 60s; we brought our daughter here in the 90s. We've seen a lot of changes to the building and the menu, but not to the quality of the food or the staff. Favorite items include the turkey vegetable soup, cherry burger, egg salad sandwich, and cherry yogurt. Whatever's on special is always good, too. Turkey dinner is a treat. I find that, on vacation, I get to the point where I yearn for vegetables besides potatoes and lettuce, and here you can get some. I appreciate that there are alternatives to a sandwich. I know they sell a lot of salads but I figure salad is something I can get anywhere so I usually get the cherry burger (if I'm hungry) or egg salad (if I'm not, very). Save room for dessert, at least to share. Clean, friendly, affordable, diverse choices, authentic, non-chain.

Our trip to the Frankfort area wouldn't have been complete without visiting the Cherry Hut. My boyfriend and his family have vacationed in Frankfort for years...generations....and the Cherry Hut was always a must. I was excited to finally experience this place for myself! Just looking at the building transports you to another era....and of course the interior does as well. We had such a wonderful waitress that day - she was extremely polite to and because the place wasn't busy, we chatted with her for a bit. The food was good - your typical diner fare but the cherry pie... OH THE CHERRY PIE.. that was the real reason for the trip. Before traveling to Michigan in 2014, I never really cared for cherries/cherry flavored things..but I'm a convert and this pie sealed the deal. We have yet to order a pie / have it shipped to Indy but I'm thinking this might be the year to do it!

Meatloaf sandwich and cream of broccoli soup - 2 Nothing spectacular but not bad. Not something id say I need badly. The soup was not very creamy and wasn't that flavorful. Disappointed. Grilled cheese - 4 buttery and flavorful. Kids enjoyed it and it was better than my meatloaf sandwich. Chicken tenders - 4 good and real chicken. Kids enjoyed them. Service - 5 very friendly and attentive. Pie - 5 absolutely best reason to go here. This is a can't miss desert. Average this all up and you get around a 4.

As a family, we have collectively been visiting the Cherry Hut for nearly 50 years. Their pies have crisscrossed the country in our sketchy homemade packaging (before they recently started officially shipping them), landing slightly worse for the wear, but no less delicious, on the doorsteps of our friends and relatives. The pie is of course a knockout. The cherryade was also particularly good on our last visit--not as cloyingly sweet as usual. And my favorite meal? The turkey plate!! Like a little slice of Thanksgiving in June, with delicious home roasted turkey, stuffing, and veggies, for around $10. Cheers to you, the Hut, and all the lovely staff members who make you run so successfully.

Cherry Hut is solid, they do what they do very well! Had a large party of 10 for dinner, were seated within 5 minutes. Happy service in a very bright and open setting. Entrees and sandwiches were old school, baked walleye, burger, club sandwich were all good. A bit pricey but it's a summer tourist place. And then there are the baked goods...wow. Cherry pie was as good as my grandma's who lived north of Traverse City on a farm. The cinnamon rolls were sweet buttery goodness, we bought extras to eat for breakfast in the morning. Even their cookies were top notch. I was impressed overall!

Stayed in Beulah as a quick place to hit Sleeping Bear Dunes and heard from multiple people that the pie at the Cherry Hut was top notch. We decided to try to go on the way back from dinner and were heart broken when we saw that they had closed just 10 minutes before we got there. However, before I could be disappointed we wouldn't get to try the pie - one of the employees saw our attempt, unlocked the door and asked if we were there for the pie (of course!). He said even though they were closed if we were just there for pie he would pull out one of the freshly baked ones for us. Wow - what great service, and the pie was unbelievable! Would recommend this place again - and want to tell them thanks for going above and beyond.

Such a cute place full of rich history. Food is very yummy, all homemade, and cherry pies made throughout the entire day! Definitely has a good reputation for serving wonderful food and pie, hope that it stays around for another 60+ years!

Great for a light dinner after a busy day. I enjoyed the cherry salad on mixed greens, complete with mandarin oranges, walnuts, feta cheese, some carrots and I topped it with the cherry vinaigrette dressing. Server was great about bringing extra dressing upon request. Another in my party had the Reuben and said it was quite good. Absolute topper was the warm cherry pie. Rarely have I had pie not at home that was so good.

Had a variety of options. Very good food. The cherry centric menu is surprisingly good. The chicken salad was amazing. Went after 3 days of rugged camping at sleeping bear dunes. Very satisfying

Frankly, I don't get it. My wife and family has been coming to northern Michigan since she was a kid, and they all go crazy for this place. I've been here four or five times, but only because that's where the family goes every year...sigh. Whatever. That's pretty much for me. Whatever. The service is fine. It's a kitschy place with cherry-themed souvenirs and such. The food is not much more exciting than Denny's. If my wife and her family were reviewing The Cherry Hut, they'd smile and give it 5 stars...but I'll throw a mediocre 3 stars its way. Cherry Hut. Meh.

You can't expect much when you're in the middle of Michigan, driving to Traverse City. Went home one weekend to take a trip up north, to my favorite part of Michigan- Lake Michigan and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was cherry festival time, so heh, why not, my dad was rather intrigued in this "Cherry Hut" place, so we took a stop. The sign...is a cherry with a smiley face on it. Hmmm. The waitstaff inside...are dressed in old school dresses (think... old schoolhouse wives), with cherry print all over them. Heh. Different...Very different. Nonetheless, you get your homemade cherry pies and your overall cherry food. We got the cherry chicken salad sandwich on a croissant...and it was delicious. They must use the plumpest dried cherries I have ever tasted, but it tasted pretty amazing in croissant. Mmmmm. Yes, you're in the middle of nowhere, but it's definitely worth the stop on your way up north. Check it out. And don't forget to get a good slice of pie while you're at it. :)

The cherry pie is perfect, with the ideal tart/sweet balance. I'd say skip the ice cream since you can get ice cream anywhere. The service is almost psychic in its consistent ability to anticipate customer needs. For instance, most of the crowd is probably in laid-back vacation mode, but a couple of times I've come here in frazzled "must get to whitefish restaurant three hours away" condition and had super-fast service. Some folks are taking points off for food. While the pie is phenomenal, the food may be categorized as diner cuisine but there's nothing wrong with it. The baked chicken was very good some years ago; I haven't tried it recently. Since at least 2003 I've been trying to get the lake trout, which is only available Fridays after 5, and finally was able to get it on my recent trip. To borrow an obscure Charles Grodin "Heartbreak Kid" reference, the trout is honest. True fish enthusiasts will like it but it might not be ideal for those who go for shallot-lime-mango-almond reduction glitziness or fish-and-chips heaviness. Non-food note: take a couple of minutes to peruse nearby downtown Beulah and Crystal Lake.

The best cherry pie in Michigan, at a ridiculously low price. Make sure you take one home with you. Also a good family style restaurant along with a fun gift shop of Cherry products and souvenirs. This place is a Michigan classic, highly recommended.

I don't really recall their food (it's been years since I've eaten here), but I ALWAYS remember their cherry pie. I literally will not eat any cherry pie anywhere else. I live in California and constantly rave like a lunatic (insert joke here about all people in California being lunatics ;)) that this is best cherry pie ANYWHERE. This pie is so good that I had relatives emailing and calling me when I visited recently demanding I return with pie. I carried TWO cherry pies back to California with me (no easy task) -- they are THAT good. Seriously. Bottom line: Get their cherry pie!

  • Ricardo S.

The Good: cherry pie and vegetable soup are great. Really, everything cherry is great. Cool cherry theme with nice cherry souvenirs, jams, etc. shop inside. The Bad: don't get the prime rib. I ordered mine on a Saturday afternoon right before 5pm and it was cold. As if they took it out of the fridge and placed it on top of the sear pan for 30 seconds. The fat in and around the meat was still congealed and hard as a rock. I guess it's partially my fault for ordering prime rib here, but it was on the menu so fair game to review... The Ugly: Ordered chicken nuggets for my kids and they were raw! Red and cold inside. The Woof: some tables outside where you could dine if your family has a dog and you don't want to leave him in car after a long trip. But The place is not Dog friendly however...

I'll start with the cherry pie..superb..almost bringing this fat boy to tears. Bought one to take with us to our Traverse City destination. My wife had the Cherry Chicken salad and said it was excellent. My daughter had the Baked Chicken (it was available on Sunday) and loved it. I had the Turkey Salad sandwich..it, too,.was excellent. This place is a throwback with excellent atmosphere and friendly service. I'd drive here just for the cherry pie!

The essence of the midwest. Like, Japanese tourists should drive up here just to observe authentic Americans being American. We have gone here once a year, on our annual trek to the Great Forest in the North, and we eat as many cherry things as we can in one sitting. Check out the Gwen Frostic paper table mats and cherry-shaped paper menus. For diner food, I would actually say it's a cut above. I mean cherry vinaigrette: seriously. And feta cheese in the cherry salad (edgy, but it works). The cherry aid is too sweet for my taste; mix with iced tea for a cherry Palmer and you're good to go. Carnivores: go for the cherry burger. I mean, you only live once. Vegans: the veggie sandwich on pumpernickel or rye (other breads have honey). Vegetarians: many choices. Bonus points: dress in red.

Oh dear lord... I really wanted to like this place. The look of it is really awesome. Right back to my childhood. We stopped in for the Saturday morning buffet and I have to say that this food was HORRIBLE! You can check my other yelp reviews, this is not like me! The corn beef hash looked and tasted like it had been through a blender. The eggs were ok and the toast was actually pretty good, but even the cinnamon rolls were horrible. My son ordered a slice of pie to see what the hype was about and it was ok. We did buy a t shirt, but we will NEVER eat here again. I also thought it was expensive for what it was...... bad food.

If you have driven by before, scared to stop because of the weird logo, be reassured. The logo comes from a cartoonish "face" shape they used to cut into the pie crusts. Cherry-ade drink was super strong. No free refills, but only the biggest sweet-tooth could drink a refill anyways. The food was good and we will definitely go back the next time we are up in that area.

Skip dinner, and go straight for the cherry pie a la mode. My dinner consisted of their turkey platter, with vegetable soup, rolls, and very dry sliced turkey. Reminds me of old time cafeteria food. Forgettable. The cherry pie a la mode, however, was a triumph. Eat only pie here.

  • Apu B.

Cherry pie was tart and flavorful--which us why it gets 3 stars. The soup us either from a can or made with canned veggies (in summer) and waaayyy too salty. Chicken cherry salad sandwich on store bought bland, soft croissant was okay. Out of the way and really not worth the effort of getting there...Jan & Michael Stern really need some updates as last 3 places have totally missed the mark

An institution of Up North kitsch. A real 50's coffee shop. Great hot turkey sandwiches. It's hard to beat a chicken cherry salad croissant. Follow up with a great cup of coffee, the best cherry pie! And take a pie or two or maybe three home with you.

  • Stacey C.

I recommend the pie, that's what they are known for. The food is classic diner food, not great but not bad. We used to go in with my grandpa as kids. It's hasn't changed much! Kitschy and cute!

The waitress was very charismatic and so were the other employees. The burger was decent, but the cherry pie was absolutely divine. I'd suggest checking this place out for the pie alone.

Best cherry pie ever! This place has been around for almost 100 years and this pie I will dream about for the next 100 years! Cute little stand in some small northern Michigan town and definitely worth the stop!

My dad ate here 50 years ago and was excited to go back. To our delight the restaurant was almost exactly like he remembered, with the waitresses wearing vintage red uniforms. The food was well priced and the pie was delightful.

The Cherry Hut is old school all the way! It has been around forever and a stop every time we head up to Crystal Lake. If you know me, you know I adore cherries in any way, shape and form so a pie is a must for me. Or two. Or more. Anyway, the pie is the end all for cherry pies. We also pick up apple butter - enough for a long, long time, to take home and store for the 'lean' times of winter. I can't speak for the food other than the sweets, but for some old time ambiance and delicious sweets, this is a place you should stop when in the area! Wish I had some pie right now.

  • Annette J.

If I was basing this review only on the pie it would get 5 stars easily. But I regret to report that the rest of the food is somewhat lacking. Of course the place is known for its pie and with a name like "The Cherry Hut" you're not really going there for a sandwich but they do have a fairly decent sized menu and when you stay in Beulah and your hotel room isn't quite ready you might end up there for lunch. That is to say that the grilled ham and cheese isn't BAD. It's decent. Nothing out of this world but tasty nonetheless. Nice hot, crispy french fries. A decent breakfast buffet of hot scrambled eggs and bacon, and GREAT cherry muffins. Over all, not a bad meal for the price but I wouldn't be shaking my friends saying "YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!" over it. BUT, the addition of a slice of cherry pie and a nice sugary glass of cherryade puts this meal over the top and makes this a destination location. Hands down the best cherry pie I've ever had and I've had a lot of cherry pie in my day. Just sweet enough inside (but just enough tartness to steer you clear of a toothache) and the crust is flaky and soft. Oh God, it's actually getting to the point right now where I am painfully regretting not buying one to take with me now that I'm back from vacation. I weep because I will not have another slice for another year at the earliest. The price is good and they carry a plethora of other cherry related products such as jams, jellies, and syrups (although I'm going to go ahead and say save your jam purchasing for the not terribly far Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor if you are looking to stock up on grocery goods) and some silly cherry hut regalia that you will be happy to sport because the logo is so good. So yes, if you're looking for just a meal sans pie, maybe hit someplace else. But if you want a transcendental pie experience then get yourselves to the Cherry Hut. And please, bring me back a pie while you're at it.

Nothing screams more American that The Cherry Hut - on the shores of beautiful Crystal Lake in the lower peninsula in North Michigan, this is simply gorgeous country out there. On a Sunday afternoon while riding our bikes around Crystal lake, we came upon The Cherry Hut - WoW !! what a unique place ! and in this area, the food is country cooking at its best. But the biggest treat in the Cherry Hut is the Cherry pie, simply outstanding !!!

Some folks say that no trip to Northern Lower Michigan is complete without sampling a fresh baked pie from The Cherry Hut in Beulah. Last trip up there I heeded this advice and stopped at the restaurant to have lunch and pie. It was as though I stepped through a time portal to 1956. The service was top notch and the food and pie was as fresh and inviting as it was served in the 50's too.

Pros: Friendly waitstaff Cute inside; fun throwback theme Very clean and well cared for Food was hot and timely delivered Neutral: Food was okay, nothing special Cherry Lemonade was really just the dripping left-over from the pies with a little sugar and lemon added; it was too sweet for any of us to drink. Cons: Paid $6.50 for veggie sandwich on wheat bread - no sides Everything on menu seemed pricey for just trying to get a regular meal (if you are in for a HUGE meal, may be more reasonable, as it comes with soup, salad, veg, potato, cinnamon roll, dinner roll, beverage AND dessert)

This place has the best cherry pie ever! I saw an article in Gourmet magazine a few years ago about some small cherry store in the middle of nowhere Michigan (ok West of nowhere). There are not many places in Michigan that get a several page article in a food magazine so I stop in for a slice. I was blown away. Just the perfect tartness, perfect flakyness and softness in the crust. Just amazing. I travel to Michigans U.P. often and take the detour to the Cherry Hut when I can. I brought some to work and a coworker like it so much he has a standing 2 pie order anytime I go. The food in the restaurant is average, nothing to write home about, but the cherry pie is to die for.

My grandparents live near here and in all my summer vacations I can't believe that we hadn't stopped here before. It walked in and felt like I had walked into Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It's a sweet small town diner. I got the Cherry Chicken Salad Sandwich, my girls got turkey dinners (just like Thanksgiving). Everyone else's food was great too. But the best was dessert. Cherry pie for me and my husband and cherry sundaes for the kids. So fun and yummy! We had a party of 6 right a dinner time during the week of the 4th of July, and it did take a while for a table, but the manager/owner was so apologetic and we were on vacation so we were totally relaxed. :)

This old school Americana in the beautiful northwest Michigan. I had a meat loaf that was so full of home cooking - wonderful! Finished it off with some nice cherry pie - WHY people go here anyway. This is tiny town America within beautiful landscape. The lakes in these parts look like the Caribbean they are so clean/clear - amazing. A DEF stop on our Michigan tour of food :)

Had the Breakfast buffet. Very good. The bacon was delicious. Cherry muffins, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, two kinds of scrambled eggs, fresh made waffles, and other good breakfast stuff. The wait staff has cute red and white uniforms. They are very attentive and polite. There is a small retail area with cherry products and other objects related to cherries. Definitely, kid and large group friendly.

Thank you Yelp as we were driving back from Mackinaw to Chicago I checked the Yelp app looking for lunch and found this place. They just don't make them like this any more, its like going back in time. This is one of the great road side attraction places that we used to be blessed with many many years ago. The food is not going to wow you that not the point..its the building and the cherry place mat souvenir menus that are over the top kitchy cool. This is one of those places that you see on the PBS specials that should be an American Icon its been there since 1922...amazing. The Food is all american kind of diner fair nothing we had dissapointed I love the Cherry Chicken salad with potato chips. Get in the car take a road trip and show the kids a piece of great American history.

Sure, the burgers are tasty, the staff is genuine, and the overall vibe of the place makes you hum the star spangled banner. But you know, and I know, and the guy on the corner knows, you come here for the cherry pie! And it's amazing!

Came in for lunch with my dad while I was home for the fourth of July. Haven't been in for years and it's just as I remember! Great staff/service, cute diner atmosphere (cherries everywhere) and great simple meals. I had turkey sandwich and my dad had the veggie sandwich both were on the most delicious home baked whole wheat bread. We were very happy with or lunch and of course took a cherry pie to go! Can't wait to come back!

You feel like you've done the time warp thing and been dropped straight into the 1950s when you land in the Cherry Hut. The cheery, cherry red-and-white color scheme, which includes the dowdy server uniforms and the huge Cherry Jerry logo that adorns menus and grins somewhat manically on the sign out front, hasn't changed in my memory (and I suspect for many years prior to my first visit here). This place is open seasonally, for the warmer months, so most of the staff are college and high school students, and the menu proudly lists "the girls" and "the boys" by name and school affiliation that work there each season. "The girls" tend to be college age and work as servers, "the boys" tend to be high school age and work in the kitchen...just sayin' The food tends to be pretty old school and the type of thing that your old aunties might have cooked for their families, so it's not really a place I would go for a romantic dinner or cutting-edge cuisine. But for breakfast, lunch, or dessert, it's a decent choice. I like their cherry sundaes, so we stopped by there recently for dessert. Tim, a real chocolate lover, had the cherry fudge brownie and liked that as well. Best of all, the bill for two desserts came in at under $10. We also tried the breakfast buffet this last trip. Decent basic food (scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, hash browns, fresh fruit, corned beef hash-although the hash was of the mushy canned variety) on a buffet that was fresh, hot, and replenished in a timely manner. Quick and filling fuel before taking off on a day of hiking, taking photos, and having fun. There's a small store at the front of the restaurant with Cherry Hut jams, sundae sauce, and other cherry-related products-a good place to pick up a couple of small gifts or things to take home to enjoy later. So, it's not for the adventurous eater, but the place has been around since the early 1920s, so it's one of those kitschy and nostalgic places that you always stop by to at least pick up a sundae or a jar of jam when you visit the area.

Yes! Cherry Hut! 5 big stars for you! I've been going to the Cherry Hut since I was a child. I always get the same thing: an egg salad sandwich on wheat toast (bread and butter pickles come on the side), a diabetes-inducing cherry ade, and a slice of cherry pie (warmed, but not ala mode). Eating inside and outside are equally enjoyable.

This is SO the place to eat in Beulah! How can anyone resist the happy-face cherry logoed street sign you can spot from a mile away? Inside is pure cherry-themed American diner, complete with waitresses in dresses and frilly aprons straight out of "Alice." Menus are shaped like cherries too. Overall, the food is just OK. The turkey-broth based vegetable soup was decent - strong broth flavor, but the veggies were overcooked and bland. Both my companion and I got meal salads. They were serviceable, but pretty boring, and quite expensive when you consider the smallish size and miserly allotment of toppings. And the extra $2 I paid for turkey on my salad was not worth it, plus the little bit of turkey they did sprinkle on was dry and stringy. Each salad came with a cherry muffin, which was excellent, but so reeked of butter I felt guilt with every bite. On the other hand, the cherry pie was very, very, very good, as you would expect in a place called Cherry Hut. Even better heated and a la mode. The restaurant also has a gift shop area, and it is definitely worth getting a few jars of their best selling cherry jam -look for the ones with the tart cherries as the first ingredient. But unlike the reviewer who took some jars home in his carry-on, my sister got her jam confiscated at security for being a "gel-like substance." So if you are getting on a plane, pack your jam in your checked luggage.

I would give the cherry pie 3 stars and the food 1 star. It kinda reminded me of an old folks home minus the antiseptic smell. The cherry pie is good, but it's not "the best I've ever had". It is fun to have an old-school restaurant that people dream fondly of and write even more sentimentally about, but if you didn't grow up with it, I guess I just don't see the appeal. I got a better cherry pie at the Elberta Farmer's Market on Thursdays (in the summer) just down the road. The food: tough as nails steak, stale club sandwich, lukewarm mashed potatoes - really, barely edible. On the other hand, they did have the most adorable cherry-stuff that was handmade. I fell in love with a little apron that was handstitched and presh.

This isn't a place you come for the best food. This is tradition. My husband's family has been coming here forever and ever so every year we go. The first year I was disappointed with the cafeteria quality food. Now, after 8 years coming here, I enjoy it. The cherry pie is delicious, if you like cherry pie, since that is the only pie they have. I get the complete dinner -soup, dinner salad, cinnamon roll, dinner roll, entree, desert and drink. The complete dinner is the way to go here. Service is always super friendly and tonight with our group of twenty she suggested and happily gave us 5 separate checks. This is a great place to go with the entire family.

Cherry Hut has been part of our family vacation for 35 years, we return once or twice every summer. The non-cherry food is quite mediocre, and in recent year we have avoided going there for full meals. But the cherry desserts are excellent, and I come from a family that has three generations of excellent pie makers. But our favorite item here is not the pie, it is the cherryade, and we have never found a beverage like it any where else. It is made from the run off juices when they make their cherry fillings for the pie. Served over ice, with lemon to cut the sweetness. Not everyone likes it, but our family is addicted, and we will stop by the cherry hut on the way to the airport to get one last hit of cherryade (you can get it to go usually). We are going to be back in N.Michigan in two weeks, and the Cherry Hut will be one of our first stops.

The best cherry pie on the planet, and after a few pies, you will look like a planet. It's a good idea to overload your carry-on with their cherry conserve on the way out of town, it's a kind of informal express-pass to the TSA staff.

We were passing through just before 8pm in late September, looking for any place to get some food in us. It didn't look like much from the outside, but we were desperate. It was a pleasant surprise once we got inside--the decor is really cute, in a kitchy sort of way. Despite it being nearly closing time, they welcomed us and gave us plenty of time to check out the menu. Wanting to be quick, we just ordered burgers and fries, which came out promptly and were very tasty. The waitress was very friendly, despite it being the end of the night. We got slices of cherry pie to go and, once we were eating it at our campsite, wished we had sprung for a whole pie! It was delicious. We will definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Classic summer stop near Crystal Lake, I just wish it were closer to our cottage in Leelanau, but still worth the drive. The food is classic American fare in hearty portions, and the cherry pie is great. My favorite thing is being able to stock up on their delicious jams and jellies that get me through the Minnesota winters. I can't find any cherry jam anywhere that rivals it. This is a great place to take kids! I have very fond memories of stops to the Cherry Hut as a child.

I ate here during summer vacation & just couldn't get enough of it! The baked goods (pie & muffins) are wonderful. Warm, melt-in-your-mouth cherry deliciousness! I had the veggie sandwich for lunch & loved it as well. The atmosphere is way cute. The waitresses are dressed up in cherry themed outfits. The staff is kind and knowledgeable as well. If I ever make it up to Beulah again I will definitely be eating here!

My family makes sure to visit the Cherry Hut EVERY TIME they're in the area. The atmosphere, the menus, the servers, the gift shop, and the food are all unique and well worth the visit. I will be honest, the food isn't anything that's going to blow you over, but then again, you're paying for the atmosphere and good times. I do like the Cherry Chicken Salad though, and it's almost A MUST to order a cherry-related desert! A must-visit for all northern MI tourists. Their gift shop is great too!

This review is for the cherry pie and the cherry ade. This was the best cherry pie I have ever had. We also enjoyed the cherry ade. If you are ever in this area, you should definitely stop by this place for some pie.
