First time at flo's, will gladly go back... Flo's is another winner from the Uchello's family of restaurants. They put their gluten free menu right on their main menu making it easy on my wife. The staff was very friendly, and the manager came around to check on us as well. Don't food was great. I had the seafood Alfredo pasta and my wife gluten free chicken wings, both of us were impressed by the quality and the speed of their arrival.

Great food and atmosphere. Always have great specials going on. Pizza is delicious. Love their sauce. The pasta with the sausage cream sauce is so good. Everytime I come into town I go here just for that.

Definitly try theyre pizza puffs, they are soooo good. The wings arent all to bad either but the service is sometimes slow but you get that everywhere.

Good food and great service from our waitress. My son had a hamburger which he said was good and my husband tried and agreed. Based on other Yelp reviews I had farfalle pasta with the sausage tomato cream sauce and thought it was pretty tasty. Also recommend ordering the pizza puffs - the whole family liked those. A few notes, they had a good kids menu and allow half orders of the pasta dishes which I consider a big plus. As other Yelp reviews commented, it is loud in the bar but the kids enjoyed the huge TV screens. We also used the free appetizer coupon and had to have the manager inspect it before allowing the waitress to use it - and it took a little while to get him to come by to do so. That being said our waitress was wonderful and we would return.

My wife and I have been eating here for a while now, but lately the service has gone down hill. Our previous take out order was cold, and live less than a mile from the resturant, it tasted like it had been sitting under the eating lamp for 30 minutes, since I had placed the order ahead of time in order to pick itup on My way home. Tonight we decide to try again, chalking up Our last experience as a fluck. I order a stromboli, and my wife ordered a taco salad. The stromboli had not been cooked completely the thick portion of the crust was still doughy and the resturant was soggy. My wife's taco salad came with no dressing and the hand full of letuce was not worth the ten bucks they charged. We will be staying away.

Incredible pizzas and Italian food. Huge tv screens for all the action you want to see in a sports game. There is a dining room that is quieter for those looking for a family experience without the bar feel. This place has great Michigan beer on draft as well.

The food here is always delicious! You can tell they put time and effort into making their dishes. Their food is cooked to perfection and tastes delightful. The atmosphere of this restaurant is also amazing! All the people there are always extremely pleasant to be around and try to make your experience a good one. I defiantly recommend it, one of my favorites!

Came for the first time for the 1/2 off pasta on Monday's and it wasn't worth it!!! I got spaghetti with meat sauce and the sauce was SO THIN...it looked like red colored water!!!!! Another person at my table had the seafood Alfredo and bit into a shell!!! When I mentioned this to the manage she looked like a deer caught in the head lights! Go someplace else!!!!!

We've never had a bad experience here in the many times we've visited. I love that it's so close to our house! Try the Flo's Signature Pizza. IT. IS. DELICIOUS! The pasta dishes are good too, but we mostly go for the pizza. Nice atmosphere. We sit on the bar side and they have several tv's along with a couple large screens.

The food is awesome, and the drinks are original., if a tad bit on the expensive side (but very delicious). We have always had great servers. The Italian food is very good. They have delicious pizza there. My only complaint is that the crowd gets a bit noisy, but that is what you get with a sports bar. They have activities like bingo and trivia night which are fun events, too. My friend and I come here on sundays to take advantage of the bloody mary bar and dinner. There is always good parking, and in warmer weather you can eat outside. All in all, Flo's is consistently an enjoyable experience.

This place is the bomb! The $9.95 steak night is excellent and you get a lot for your money. The Uccello boys have a great thing going!

We have been going to Flo's literally since the day they opened. We live about 1/2 mile away so it is very convenient. However, we would go even if it was much farther. We are at Flo's at least 3 times a month. We have been there for the buffet, dinner and even just apps. The addition of the outdoor deck is just another check in the plus column. It offers everything, you can go into the sports bar for the adult atmosphere or you can go into the restaurant part for a little quieter atmosphere. There are also TVs in the restaurant side so you can still catch the game, etc. We try to eat something different every time we go, but we have found some absolute favorites that we do have to repeatedly order. The first time I had the steak I was totally blown away. Steak is one of my favorite foods and to imagine that they could rival (and actually beat) a steakhouse that specializes in it, is unfathomable. The prime rib is excellent, the ribs - to die for. And every type of pizza and pasta. You can design your own pasta - pick the pasta, pick the sauce - just amazing!! The lunch time buffet is a great way to try different items, and the chocolate fountain, well.... The appetizers are always wonderful. You won't get warm, reheated or processed food here. It is always hot when delivered and you can tell it is home made. Flo's was desperately needed in this area and the staff and owners are awesome! The owners and manager always come around to your table to see how everything is. The staff is terrific - very friendly and efficient. We have never had bad service. If you ever need anything, they get it for you without question. If you are in the area - definitely make sure that you go to Flo's - you won't be disappointed!!

Flo's is no Uccello's, that's for sure! I live in Belmont and I was excited for this place to open. My family and I go regularly to eat dinner. Recently the food and service has dropped considerably. I got a rubber glove in my salad one night and they actually tried to make an excuse for it. NASTY!!! We've tryed it a few times since "the glove incident" and our orders have been messed up every time. We'll still eat hear, BUT it's only going to be take out pizza. They do have good pizza and that's hard to screw up.

I don't have anything good to say about this place. I got a bunch of buy-one-get-one coupons so I thought I'd try it out. Neither the pizza or subs are anything special. I would agree with John B. and go with frozen pizza instead. It is very expensive for pizza, but at least the subs are priced decently.

Having long been a fan of Florentines Take Out pizza, I was excited to hear that they would be opening a new location with a full menu. After many trips there over the past year they have not diasappointed. Food is fresh and hot, and service has always been top notch. I have eaten every item on the menu except for about 5, and if there were any dissapointements, it was due to my overall dislike of a certain food or the actual dish, rather than the preparation of it. That being said, I am a huge fan of the Chicken Scallopini, as well as any pasta that comes with the Sausage Cream Sauce. In addition, the Magharita Dip appetizer is excellent. Such simple ingredients, yet bold and flavorful. All food is cooked to order, sauces and soups are all made daily, in house. Weeknight specials like half off pasta and BOGO burritos are great deals, as well as Wednesday night steak. My wife has ordered the steak numerous times, and the consistence of delivering a medium rare steak each time exceeds what we have had in many reputable local steak houses. Perhaps the most important part beyond the food is the ownserships interest in the local community. My childrens schools has partnerd with them for events and fundraisers, as have several local church and mission based organizations. They seem to have no problem getting the checkbook out to support local activities and interests. I would submit that those who had a less than stellar expeirience take one more look. Mediocrity is not a word I would use to describe the food here. Having eaten and critiqued about food stops all over the country, I contend that this place rates very high on quality. For those other Yelpers who may disagree, be assured, there is no product in that place that comes from GFS, in fact, local farmers are used directly when possible for many items. And if you think frozen pizza or Meijer lasagna is better, that I suspect you have a palate equivalent to that of a billygoat.

This was our first time at Flo's. The Sports Lounge came highly recommended from a co-worker familiar with good food and it certainly did not disappoint. The service was fantastic, the Chicago style bread sticks were awesome, and our pizza was great. Everything was hot and fresh and homemade. With a giant Oberon and my girlfriends Pink Panther cocktail, our bill was only just over $30. Great value. We will be back!

We had burritoes as well as pasta's in our group last night and all of them were fabulous. It is pretty loud in the Sports Bar side though andhard to converse

I ordered a Margharita pizza, expecting tomatoes and basil on it. The pizza I picked up was a chesse pizza. There were no tomatoes, pizza sauce, but no tomatoes. If there was any basil, I didn't find it. It was a pretty expensive cheese pizza.

Let me start by saying, I frequent Belmont Florentines about three times a week! Honestly, all I can say is WOW. I had purchased a $20 gift certificate. When the gift certificate was presented I was told it could only be used on regular priced items, not "specially priced" items. After going back and forth for a minute or two about the fact that it was not stated ANYWHERE on the website or the gift certificate, the owner appeared. Not only was he arguing with me over a $19 tab, but, he insisted on retrieving his laptop to bring up the site/coupon!! At this point it was embarrassing for me as well as for his character as the OWNER of the place. After pulling up the site and the coupon, he was still unable to show me where this was stated. I asked for any type of document he could present me with this information, he was unable to do that as well. I then asked if he could just login to his account on the groupon site. I was told that he "did not know the account but did know the coupon was on there." Again, unable to tell me where it said "regular priced items." In short, the owner should be ashamed of himself for acting like such an idiot. He has unfortunately lost a solid customer.

I bought a coupon book and so of course had to use all those coupons. I've had a variety of food items and everything was good. Their house pizza is the best! Really like that there is a family dining area and a sports bar area. Always busy and it's fun to see so many friends and neighbors there. Great service, fun atmosphere and welcoming hosts.

We have had both thin crust pizza and the Chicago style pizza from Florentine's. I didn't care for the thin crust much. Ours was soggy, so maybe it was just that order. I LOVED the Chicago style crust -- it was thick and bready. The sauce they use is quite sweet. I loved it, but my dh and kids weren't that crazy about it. The toppings were fresh and tasty.

This is quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever tasted in my life! The sauce is generic, the ingredients sub-par and the crust is gooey. To top this all off, the manager had the nerve to tell me that when I tasted mold in the green peppers that there was something wrong with my taste buds. I had merely called to be kind and let them know that they should check it. She proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that they only use "the freshest of ingredients". I threw the entire pizza away and have since announced to my family that any time that I visit them, they are forbidden from ordering pizza from Florentine. I would rather eat the mud from their parking lot.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
