I am in this area quite frequently and always try to stop in at Mikey's. The food is great and the portions are large. The staff is friendly and even Mickey himself is very friendly. If you are looking for a good lunch or a nice dinner Mickey's is a great place to go.

Driving through Almont you'll likely notice a lack of food options. Decided to try this on a whim given the couple of reviews and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Nothing fancy about this place, but it does its job pretty cheaply! Had a steak sandwich, the BLT and a salad with tuna, all of which we're delicious. I think the salad was most surprising as all the veg looked super fresh. I sort of pegged almont as a carnivore only locale, but given that salad, Mikey's has proved me wrong. Definitely worth checking out if you're passing through and hungry!

If you're looking for fancy, eh... keep walking. But if you're looking for some delicious food served by great sassy ladies and a good laugh, Mikeys is the spot! We've officially became regulars due to all the great food, decent prices and a place to meet up with friends and have a great time! Throw a sarcastic comment or two and the ladys will throw it right back! Mikeys isnt just a bar, but a relaxing restauran to let loose and throw back a beer while still being kid friendly! (The grinders are heaven in your mouth, made with Mikeys fresh homemade bread!)

We really enjoyed our time here. The pizza we ordered was awesome! We also ordered onion rings that were pretty good too and not a small order, pretty good amount. We sat right next to the pool table and the guys played and ate at the same time. It was a good place to get away and spend some good quality family time together. Will definitely be going back.

The burger and the price do not match. Heading North, we were hungry and decided in the middle of a long stretch of 'not much' to get lunch. This is the closest Google had to offer, and since we like to try local restaurants, we gave it a shot. We got there in the early afternoon on a Thursday. My husband, daughter and I went in and bellyed up since the place was pretty empty. The main bar area was kind of small and dated, but I was digging the small town vibe. Part of the place was 'closed' with lights out, and that was the part we walked through from parking behind the place, so that was a bit creepy at first. My husband and I ordered a burger each and my daughter did a grilled cheese (mercifully, the burger would have eaten HER) I wonder if the bartender laughed to himself, because in no time, the biggest burger I have ever seen was placed in front of me. (Wait, I ordered the $5 burger, didn't I?) It looked delicious. I took a bite and WOW! It was amazing. So not only could we have all had lunch on one burger (and probably the table next to us) , it was a really good burger to boot! I got all gluttonous (Blame the perfectly mixed, ample-sized, Jack and Diet I had on the side) and ate the whole burger and it made me an extremely happy soul. Not greasy, but juicy, Just good ole fashioned burger flavor with a fresh bun and toppings. It's not often that a burger makes me this happy! I did glance at the kitchen on the way out, when we gave our compliments to the cook, who playfully retorted that we 'didn't get the big one.' The kitchen is small, old, and maybe not as brightly lit as a more modern kitchen, but I didn't see anything that would have been a health concern to me. Definitely do yourself a favor and stop in here. We were on our way and hit a bunch of Fast food places pretty quickly north of Almont, and I was so glad that we spent our $5 here instead of there. Since the Thumb area is a common camping destination for us, we plan to come here every time we drive through. Good stuff.

OMG, this is me and my hubs new fave place to watch sports games! Where else can three people eat dinner, an app, and have about 8 beers for $39?! There's NO crowd, food comes out super fast, and plenty of parking! Not only is the food great and cheap, but it's really nice to not have to arrive super early to get a seat at the bar. Now If only we could get them to play UFC fights!

I'm very surprised at how good this place has become. If you want good, cheap, fast food, this is the place to go in town. They're the only bar in town with good food and Club Keno. Mikey's a nice guy, and he's usually there cooking or tending bar. You'll know it's him by the fact that he wears shorts 365 days out of the year. Watch out for drunkards. They're all over. Try the steak grinders. They're awesome.

Decent bar food, but very smokey inside. If you don't mind the smoke, then it's worth a stop here for their fried walley or their Brontosaurus burger.
