Favorite spot for lunch or dinner! Even my 12 year old asks us to order take out for dinner before any other restaurant. Every noodle dish is so delicious we have a hard time deciding which one to order.

This place has my favorite fried rice dish ever.! They use Thai basil in at least half their dishes, which I love. No complaints, just good Thai food.

Good food for the money! Definitely the closest thing to good Thai food in Allendale! I haven't tried much besides the Pad Thai and the Masaman (both very good) and so I can't give an accurate rating of the entire menu but the service was good and my food was good!

Pretty much the same menu as Bangkok Taste and owned by the same family so if you like BT you'll like this. As others have said, mild is hot to the normal tongue. We like a little spice, so no problem with mild Peanut Curry Noodle, but not sure we'd want to go too much more. Also, would be nice if they tossed the sauce through the noodles instead of just pouring it on. Sesame chicken was tasty (even more so than BT?) On the advice of another review I ordered the Fried Tofu appetizer and was severely disappointed-- almost no taste and the accompanied sauce had nothing to add. If you are a vegan or used to exceptionally bland foods maybe you'd enjoy it, but not us. If not for that it would be a 4.

I always enjoy my entree, though haven't ordered appetizers. The service is attentive but laid back. The lunch special is very inexpensive; As cheap as fast food.

Quick carry out service at a great price. You should expect spicy food, since it is Thai. I strongly recommend the pad thai or yellow curry dishes. They are very consistent each time I go and I strongly recommend trying it out.

A great lunch spot! For those in a rush, I saw a lot of people opting for the take-out option. If you are a newbie to spice, or really just for most white boys like me, better stick to mild spice for your first time. The spice scale seems to be exponential. Very helpful server, and I was definitely pleased with the value.

The food was too spicy that I couldn't enjoy it. I use to eat here a lot and I've tried asking for every range of no spice and each time it was still very spicy. I wish they could get their spice levels under control. If you like Spicy food, this place is for you

I stopped in here on a whim with a friend last week and did not have high expectations (the restaurant looks like an old fast food joint). However, the staff were friendly and the Peanut Curry was very good. My friend informs me that the Thai "Ghost Pepper" is the thing that nearly ended the lives of my taste buds. I like spicy foods and ordered "Hot" (foolishly expecting it to be Americanized "hot"). I was wrong. And got schooled for about 45 minutes after eating. Frankly, I couldn't finish it and took it home to dilute it until I could enjoy it. My friend only had minor problems with the heat. So my lesson for the day is to next time try the "low" spice and see how I feel about that. And don't underestimate Aroy. Four stars for the food. Minus one star for the mediocre decor and lack of food knowledge of the staff (although they were very nice).

Pleasantly surprised!!! Had the pad se ew (got extra sauce) my husband had the cashew stir fry. Service was great. I would recommend and go back!

I have been there twice, the food is very fresh, and exceeded my expectations. Be cautious if you do not like very spicy food, they will make it as hot or mild as you like. There idea of medium is quite hot.

I have had better Thai but the pad that and yellow chicken curry weren't bad. The mild has a kick if you don't like things too spicy. The Tom gha ( something) soup was horrible. Way too lemony.

I have been waiting for this place to open up for quite some time. I made a to go order. I called once and it rang and rang with no answer. I called back and the young man who took my order sounded as though someone just got done kicking his puppy. He was not very friendly and acted as though it was some sort of chore to take my $35 to go order. I almost told him to forget it but like i said I have been waiting to try this place out. When I arrived to pick up my order I was surprised at how little the inside had changed from the previous restaurant, as the other poster said looks like an old fast food restaurant. The table are very spread out and all of the glassware and busing junk is directly behind the cash register which is basically the only focal point in the place as there is no decor. I wasn't there for any fancy decor I was there for some good Thai food. The young man who took my phone order was helping another customer and had the same hum-drum attitude. I was rung up by a very pleasant girl who greeted me, smiled and thanked me. The food was ready on time. and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I ordered Pad Se-Ew hot. It was not very flavorful and not very spicy. Most places have a 1-5 spicy rating. Aroy has the same thing but with names. No Spice - mild- medium- hot- extra hot. Any other place I have been if you order a hot/4 they ask if you are sure because it is very spicy and the Thai chilis can been seen throughout the dish. The whole dish lacked flavor but was cooked well and had nice white meat chicken (although very little). I also ordered a Cashew Chicken Hot. Again not very spicy and very bland. It includes what appeared to be a whole large-chopped green bell pepper, half a large-chopped white onion and a few ounces of chicken. I'm all for peppers and onions but this was crazy. Very similar to the hole in the wall Chinese places in most neighborhoods. The profit margin on these items must be crazy because there could not be more than $1.50 in actual food. Crab Ragoon was meh it had a funny taste I couldn't quite put my finger on. All in all it wasn't terrible by any means it just wasn't that great and disappointing to me because I was hopping it was going to be amazing. I did not realize until after I ordered that this is the family of Bankok Taste who also have meh food. If you live in Allendale you are limited and it might suffice. I live on the west side of GR and there are better places similar distances away (Sweetie Thai ROCKS). Gave it 2 stars based on yelps description. 3 star = A-ok and it was more of a 2 star - meh I've had better. I won't be returning

This place has amazing food! My bf and I always start off with their crispy tofu which is to die for its so yummy! Then we get pad Thai and one of their entrees or their sesame chicken. Definitely be careful with their spicy levels. I love spicy and sometimes have trouble even with their medium but don't let it scare you. Also, the prices are amazing for the great food and the large amount that is served! The restaurant does look odd from the outside like its rundown or something but people are always coming in picking up their takeout dinner which means it's not super busy inside the restaurant dining in and you'll have great service.

LOCATION: Easy to find, right off of Lake Michigan Drive (down the road from Grand Valley State University) on the North side of the street. There is no drive-thru so don't let the building fool you! BUILDING: nothing special, they took the space from another previous restaurant and didn't really do much to it. Place could actually be cleaned up a bit, kind of looks like a hole in wall. SERVICE: The girl that took my order was kind, so A+ on that! FOOD: Here's where it really went south for me...I ordered Crab Ragoons & the lunch special of Almond Chicken. Total was $10 & some change, not bad. Crab Ragoons - Tasted heavily of the cooking oil and it was not pleasant at all, the oil tasted VERY VERY old. They were overcooked and there was literally a pea size of filling inside, the "crab" is definitely that yucky imitation crab meat you can buy in the store, which is so gross!. Almond Chicken Lunch (ordered mild+) - Served with a good amount of steamed white rice, which tasted fine, but the chicken/veggie was very small in amount, it was hard to get a nice balance when mixed together with my rice. Almonds were supposed to be in this dish, right??? I think I got a total of 5 thin slivers of almonds. I ordered this mild+ and it was a good spice to it. Would I return, NO. I can see why this place is not busy every time I drive by. Much better places out there.
