We stopped in 45 min before closing and the staff had to be hot and tired but were super friendly. We ordered Sicilian special and cheese bread and they were both excellent. Picked up a menu so we can call ahead as it's often late when we can get there. Dining area inside and a patio table outside.

It looks like it's new ownership so they're kind of going a little crazy. We came in and we ordered one gluten-free pizza which They need to learn to cook more to give it a more crispy crust, but I'm not going to judge this place for gluten-free pizza. I was happy they offered it for my girlfriend . I ordered a spicy square Sicilian pizza that was pretty good. This is not a typical New York Sicilian pizza that you will get fresh mozzarella slices on the dough with sauce on top. The pizza was good, not great . I really enjoyed the crust and they were not skimpy on their toppings. Fresh sausage would make a big difference instead of the generic pizza sausage everyone uses. I don't understand how a pizza place would serve paper plates to a customer when they give you silverware. If you're going to use silverware please give the customers at least a plastic plate. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression . I also don't understand why we had to go to the counter and ask them for Parmesan cheese and red pepper, as this should never happen in a pizzeria. Since they are new owners, they should come out while the customers eating and ask them for their opinions of the pizza. When you own a restaurant it's also about customer contact and loyalty. They were not busy at all, so they could've gone out away a little more. They were nice enough to give us a sample of their new sauce which they just added some fennel to. I think this place has potential, but they need to work on first impressions and customer loyalty. I give the pizza a seven out of 10. I wish the new owners luck because this is such a beautiful place to have a pizza restaurant. Many successes to you and your family.

I stopped in at Poma's for a Pizza tonight. Having lived in Italy I can tell you it was Awesome!!! I got the Sicilian style sauce and it was amazing. It will definitely be a regular stop for me and my family!!!

We HAVE to get Poma's pizza when we go "Up North" it is simply the best pizza around. Their Sicilian deep dish is out of this world delicious! Fresh ingredients and friendly staff keep us coming back!

I quite often travel north to my vacation home on Torch Lake from Chicago. Usually only staying a few days. Pomas offers much more than just pizza and is less than a 1/4 mile from my home. I can call, wait a few minutes and pick up my meal. Excellent food and owners!

Poma's is the only pizza shop in town. The pizza served here is decent and inexpensive but not special.

Great pizza, chicken and salads. Primarily a carry out but they do have a small seating area. Best in Northern Michigan. Terrific owners. It's family owned and operated. 3 generations on site.
