Some mornings I decide to go out of my way for coffee. To be fair, I normally walk to work, so going out of my way means getting in my car. When I do, this place is one of my top choices! The Daily Grind is a one man operation run by Mike. He is the main reason I love dropping by here. His service is always top notch, he always has a positive attitude, and usually a good joke or two. Not only do you get your morning caffeine dose, you also leave with a smile. Oh, and he always has a daily summary of thoughts posted in the window. For those of you that love a Chuck Norris reference, you'll find these entertaining. Even those of you that don't. :-) I mainly just get an iced coffee or latte here. Both are always excellent. He uses mainly Coffee By Design products, which of course are yummy. And, he has all the fixings - milk, skim milk, soy, sugar, Splenda, even sugar in the raw. He has a pretty extensive selection of options on the menu and is willing to tailor to your desire. He also has a small selection of breakfast treats (muffins, donuts, and pastries) that he gets from The Donut Hole. I highly recommend checking this place out. Come for the coffee once and you'll keep coming back for the service!

Westbrook really does not have a good selection of quality coffee. There is Dunkin Donuts and other shops with brands like New England Coffee Roasters and Green Mountain Coffee. I enjoy a good cup of high quality coffee and this is the best in the area. You will find The Daily Grind on Main Street and you will pull up to the drive through window. You will find the man (who I suspect to be the owner) to be very friendly and funny. He makes a great coffee and the selection of coffees, lattes cappuccinos and teas are extensive. I highly recommend those looking for a good cup of coffee in Westbrook to check this out. Avoid the long drive through line at Dunkin Donuts right up the street and support your local business and get a great cup of coffee at the same time!

This place always delivers :) I always get soy lattes, and they are awesome iced or hot. The owner is super friendly too, it is always pleasant coming here, I love supporting this business!

Great little coffee shop that my wife and I love. We get coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. We're so glad Gorham has The Grind located in the town center. Hope they're there forever!
