WE had to return at night. We were not disspointed! We had to wait a bit so we were in a waiting area with high back chairs and bar service. From my seat I had a clear view of the kitchen which appeared to be super clean. There was plently of waitstaff so waiting on service was not a problem. They were all hardworking and super friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember the name of our waitperson because she was great (starts with a B maybe hmmm) There was an irish group playing that was quite good. ( a small mike setup would have helped) We had the nachos which were served hot and they were really good. We also split a burger. The food portions are substantial. Had a draft beer and a canned. Wife had a fruit punch which was quite good also. See you next time !

Best Irish Pub I have ever been to! The historic building and stained glass windows make you feel like you have just traveled to Europe. They have an unbelievable beer selection and be sure to try the drink specials-they are beautifully crafted. The menu selections are very reasonable and the portions are very generous. Be sure to try the Feile nachos-quite possibly the best I've ever had. We honestly came just for dinner, and ended up dancing the night away! The next time you are in Wells, be sure to make this one of your destination choices.

Good food depends on the time of day what the menu well be...Being a pub it's mainly a appetizer style menu but other then that nice people fun setting.

We love love love this place.. Summer or Winter , it's a cozy pub or a loud fun place to go depending on which nite you choose to go... Trivia night is our favorite.. As is karaoke ...Irish comfort food and great beer list... We come here at least once everytime we are in the area...

I expected a tourist trap with shoddy service and expensive entrees. What I got was great service and a very good meal. A member of my family has some food restrictions and the staff was more than helpful as we worked through picking our entrees. Our waitress was great and very helpful, I would come back just for the service. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great service and great food at a reasonable price. This restaurant understands how important customer service is.

Wait staff was excellent, the staff were super friendly, appetizer clam chowder was actually really good, mixed green appetizer was also good. For an Irish Pub the bangers & mash were mashed potatoes and sausage and nothing great for an Irish pub. The sheppards pie tastes like a hamburger broken into pieces? Seems like a hit & miss but for a pub needs to more authentic, but staff was amazing

Food was good but service was excellent. Michelle is a delight. Place is clean and folks are friendly.

I LOVE this place! Best seafood mac and cheese I've had, and a great beer selection to boot. A very pleasant pub atmosphere and superb service. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend.

Update to my last review at Feile, it's not as good as it was when I originally reviewed it. The food quality seems to have gone down a bit, the attention to details also slipped. It's still O.K. but not great.

For York/Ogunquit/Wells area, this is my pick for pubs! I love it here! They have two seating areas: a dining area and a casual bar sitting area (booths, tables, and stools). Plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant. The food is delicious. I've only eaten in the bar section, I imagine there may be a slightly different menu for the dining room.. Anyways, their onion rings are a must! SO GOOD! And I love their flatbread pizzas! I have yet to try their desserts.....because big daddys ice cream is around the corner. Only con I've noticed is in the summer there is no outdoor seating and sometimes it can have touristy travel... One of the better pub atmospheres without the crowd of Federal Jacks in Kport and the distance of traveling to Portland!

Amazing food and even better hospitality! Try the apricot-Brie dip and the seafood Mac-n-cheese. The beer menu is impressive and the food and the staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. You can really do no wrong, from before dinner drinks to dessert. Enjoy!

Cute Irish pub in Wells. Comically enough, they were the only place in town with Cinco de Mayo specials. My $3 margaritas kept me happy, and the food was pretty on the mark (onion rings not so delish though). Husband loved the clam chowder. Next time, we'll have to come for trivia, as we had just missed it.

Went there last weekend and had a great time with some saturday night locals. Probably the best onion rings I've ever had and plenty of great beers to choose from. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Stopped twice on a recent trip to ME. Just had drinks on both visits, but the beer selection was good and cocktails were a good pour. Lusted after the onion rings at the next table. Trivia Night was packed and lots of fun!

Excellent food and even better service. Every time we go here, we are warmly welcomed by the hostess and the wait staff is equally warm, and attentive. We usually eat in the pub, and enjoy watching sports on the big screen TV. I am not a beer drinker but they have an extensive beer and ale list. My brother loves that they serve PBR. It was a raw night when we went so we shared a DELICIOUS butternut bisque and each decided to have the phenomenal Shepherd's pie. Everything was wonderful. It is the perfect place to go when you want great comfort food in a welcoming atmosphere. They have entertainment some nights. Also, I would love to go to trivia night (Thursdays) but unfortunately, am in South Boston during the week.

We've been to Feile several times and we're not a fan of their food. The beer menu is great and the bartender is very knowledgable and friendly. We'll go back, but only for drinks; the bar can be lots of fun! However, we've been disappointed with their food. We purposely tried different things on their menu because we really wanted to make this our 'go to place' since we visit Wells every weekend. Unfortunately, every meal we've had has been bland and tasteless. While we normally shy away from the salt shaker, we found that was the only way to add flavor to our meals. Yet, the fries were overly salty! To date we've tried the burger, fish & chips, fried haddock sandwich, corned beef sandwich, corned beef & cabbage and shepherds pie. None have been enjoyable. For us, we'll wait for the tourists to go home and visit Feile again --- but just for drinks and a chat with the bartender!

It's becoming one of our regular spots when we visit the area. My wife likes it, my son likes it, and I like it. The burgers are a good size and the fries were very good. I feel like the other dishes are better than pub food. Like the sheperds pie or the fish n chips. Pub food yes but fresh and cared for. The beer selection is very good for what I've experienced in Maine. Quite the variety. Try the Nachos!!

5 stars for an Irish pub? Yeah. We went on a Saturday in the "quiet season". The place was packed and we were told there was a wait. They sat us in a nicely laid out waiting area. We were told by a manager that she would be right over to take a drink order. Unfortunately, she forgot, but came over shortly after another server greeted us, apologized and paid for our round of drinks. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Our server Laura was simply the best. We had the Irish Nachos made with fresh chips. Outstanding. The fresh fries were great as well. The corned beef and cabbage was tender and flavorful and the lamb stew fresh and rich. The beer selection is second to none. Very pleased. A new favorite.

Nice menu selection of pub food and traditional Irish fare. Highlights for us were the sweet potato fries (so fresh, delicious and salty!) and flat bread pizza (great crust and abundant toppings!). Service wasn't so hot but to be expected from a college kid new to their summer job, she was nice enough just clueless about serving etiquette and timing, nothing that would deter us from coming back. Overall a nice place with a solid menu, I definitely would recommend Feile if you are looking for an Irish pub in the area.

Went here on St Patty's Day while on a business trip in Wells. Honestly - this place was perfect. The bar was fairly crowded around 5 pm but we were still able to get a spot. They had a really decent beer list and great Irish classics on the (I am presuming) limited St Pattys day menu. The main dining area is spacious and the waitresses weren't rushing anyone out the door. All around, great Irish pub!

Another great discovery in Maine! Located in a lovely historic house that was a bad place to eat previously- this place is now fabulous. With an amazing selection of beers and eats - you can't go wrong. I had the fresh haddock fish n' chips. the home made fries were super - sweet, crispy brown, almost wedge sized. The fish very fresh and tender inside - with that perfect crispy bite outside. YUM. Nothing was overly salty at all - my pet peeve. The bar area is crowded and lively, I opted for the quiet dining room and struck up a conversation with locals who eat here every week.. I will be back every year. They have decent happy hour specials and special menu prices before 6:00 p.m. Prices are reasonable anyway.Chef brines his own corned beef - and you can tell that he takes care in everything he prepares. The food going by all looked mouth watering. GO!!!

We're a lttle mixed on this place. Love the building and the staff. Beer selection was amazing. I got the fried fish sandwich and she the chicken and biscuits. I thought hers looked and tasted great but she didn't like it at all and changed to the brie which she liked. My fish and o rings were oily. Buy were ok. I'd go again and I'd get the chicken and biscuits myself.

Omg fabulous food ! Only waited Less then 10min for a table Friday in July! Our server. Shannon was so helpful and congenial, could not have been happier! Best bar in Wells! Great atmosphere. Their food is delicious and beer menu on point. Prices are actually reasonable. This is a go to spot for late lunch/dinner, happy hour, or late night drinks and entertainment. Wait staff is always an A+ and bartenders are great. Happy hour house rum is delicious! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for food, drinks, and a great time with great people!

A touch of Ireland right here in Wells. This place was nice. We came in on a chilly fall evening. It was very quaint and cozy. They had both a pub area to sit as well as a quiet dining area in the back. We warmed up with a creamy butternut squash soup which had just the right touch of sweetness and cinnamon. I had the Smokehouse Mac and Cheese and my wife got a cheese burger. The Mac and Cheese was awesome!!! Shell pasta in a white cheese sauce with chicken, spinach, and bacon. It was to die for!!! My wife's burger was a pretty good size, cooked perfectly with a side of really delicious French Fries. Wait staff was very friendly and the prices very reasonable. We are defiantly coming back here again.

Great Comfort food. Great full bar with entertainment (not too loud) tons of beers on tap! Great friendly service, reasonable prices. Kid friendly & wicked casual

After striking out at a few other restaurants (long wait times, no seats available, high prices) we decided to take a gamble and try this place out. It exceeded our expectations greatly. Great service, terrific atmosphere, ambiance and great food for the price. Not only do you get great food, but the presentation is very classy, which is always a bonus. I got the chili rubbed steak that was cooked to perfection and looked and tasted great. My wife got the mac and cheese which looked and tasted to die for. The dining room is great for a quiet romantic dinner, which exactly what we were aiming for. Don't go in expecting pub food because it's so much more. Plus great beer on hand to boot. Highly impressive on all levels.

Great bar, prices are a little steep unless you hit happy hour. Bar staff is friendly and willing to chat. We didn't order any food so I'm unable to comment/rate but it smelled great. If I ever go back to Wells I will definitely be visiting this bar more than once.

This bar was the stereotypical Irish bar... In all the best ways. We went on a Saturday night, there was live music playing, the crowd was great, the beer list was extensive, and the food was tasty! All in all a great experience

  • Monica L.

I continue to be extremely impressed with this place. Last night I tried the Brie fondue. It was really good. I also had a piece of the chocolate lovers cake for dessert. That was really, really good. My friend raved about the seafood mac and cheese. I'm headed back to try that and many other things on the delicious sounding menu!! And, our server took very good care of us!

Didn't expect to eat such great seafood at an Irish pub!!! If you're in the area I highly recommend you stop by. We got the crab cakes as an app (they truly put the crab in this cake!), the seafood Mac and cheese (boasting huge scallops and perfectly cooked haddock), and the salmon entree (seared to perfection creating an unbelievably crispy crust). I don't think you could steer wrong with any of the food here.

Came on a holiday Saturday night. No wait at 6:45 unlike a lot of other recommended restaurants on Yelp which had waits up to 2 hours. It's an old house done up with dining in the rooms and a bar dining area. Staff were nice. Food was quick. Ordered the crab cakes as so many reviewers loved them. They were good, a bit dry tonight. The salmon was very good. The seafood medley was good. Clam chowder was ok. Live music tonight was fun. Good atmosphere.

Sometimes change is good. In this case, not so much. New owners with some modest menu changes, none seemingly good. Burger used to be one of the best around, now not so much...lower quality mix is noticeable. Clam chowder was a notch above canned. Draft list has barely changed in 3 weeks? Who serves a summer in mid sept? Either laziness or lack of attention to beers a patron would want. Seems all in all the new owner is focused on standardization and profit vs serving what his customers want. Dangerous for a restaurant that was once a favorite of locals and tourists! This was a Friday night spot for us on a regular basis. Sorry to say that's no longer going to be the case.

Love this restaurant! Cozy, and family-friendly, atmosphere. Hands down, the BEST corned beef and cabbage I have ever had. We also had the crab cakes as an appetizer, phenomenal. I highly recommend dining here if you are staying, or traveling through, the Wells area. You won't be disappointed!!

Food was fantastic! Get the crab cake appetizer you won't regret it. Staff was friendly and they had live music that was very good. Service was ok. I would go back.

Best corned beef and cabbage bar none! Brined for 7 days, boiled all day. Perfect. Cabbage with a hint of vinegar. Chowders was solid, nachos great with fresh jalapeños. A real treat

We recently held a family celebration for 30 people at Feile and couldn't have been more pleased with the food and the service. We ordered from the Irish menu - shepherd's pie, Guinness stew, fish and chips, and seafood mac and cheese, as well as wings, potato skins, and chicken tenders as hors d'oeuvres, and everyone raved about the food. We have also eaten there many times and have never had a bad meal. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and the food, drinks, and service are outstanding. Highly recommended.

Glad to see NOTHING has changed with new ownership. I would consider a few changes for sure. The food still sucks to say the least. The menu should be a whole lot more thought out as well. Maybe bring the food into the 2000's would be a big help. Irish Pub doesn't mean terrible food and menu. The Irish dishes are some of the most bland items I've eaten. Again, Irish doesn't mean bland or overcooked. Also, try using quality product... Crap in the backdoor means crap out of the kitchen. I think maybe the new owners should consider a consultant or selling. Same as the old owners... Although, if they're going to rely on just the tourist like they do at the other restaurant in k-port... They're right on track. When there no wait on a Saturday night, you might need to re-group. (The waitstaff is VERY good however.) Cheers lads!

Pronounced "Fay-lah"! So the rest of the reviews about the staff being so friendly are confirmed. We went during happy hour and split a fish and chips for 9.99, portion was huge. When they brought two plates I thought the messed up order they were so big! Dinner and two rounds of drinks and beers cost under 30 bucks including tip. Highly recommend!

We three had a great meal here this evening on our first visit. Special goat cheese stuffed peppers for two, and salmon with bacon for the other were enjoyed. House made mango peach white and red berry sangria were worth repeating, and house special goat cheese honey cheesecake with strawberries and blueberries was the best cheesecake we've ever had. Will be returning in December for dinner for twelve on Ogunquit Christmas prelude. The place was packed and had live entertainment in the pub, but service was quick and very enjoyable. Our waitress wearing her grandmothers locket was wonderful.

Wonderful experience! I can't believe I haven't tried Feile until this year. The food was delicious and the atmosphere, warm and lively. The pub was full of music and cheer on a Sunday night. I felt like I was in Ireland. I will be back!

We consider this an exciting find so close to home. We went on a Sat for a late lunch right after they opened for the day. Wait staff and In particular our waiter , Patrick was friendly and very attentive. Plenty of beer, wine and even 4-5 cider choices on the menu. Atmosphere is tasteful and comfortable and the pub is homey with low ceilings and big beams. Fresh cut fries and beer battered onion rings were delicious. Can't wait to go back with friends in tow for dinner!

We have been there a number of times since they opened and have always been happy with the experience. Although it is located in a nice old colonial home, the bar area in the rear has more of an Irish Pub-like feel to it. We always get either Pub fare or sandwiches and enjoy the food,as well as the atmosphere.I think they should remodel the front to take advantage of it's historic, old feel and make it into something that feels more akin to a Pub. We try to sit in the rear for this reason, but feel the front portion could be better utilized. In all, this is a place we would recommend strongly.

By far my favorite spot in the Wells area. Very good food, great beer selection, and an extremely friendly and helpful staff, make this family owned and run Irish pub a (kinda) hidden treasure. The bartenders are extremely infomative in helping you choose a beer. An eclectic mix of beers on tap, and many more in bottles. The happy hour burger and fries is the best deal in the area, and is fantastic. Always cooked to perfection (could use a little more lettuce, though), and I strongly recommend the sweet potato fries (best, ever....always crisp). They always have great entertainment, whether it be the bands, the trivia, or the karaoke, or the live Irish music. Check it out.....It's a winner!!

Came here for the first time a few days ago and absolutely loved it! Great atmosphere- really friendly staff and fun decor. The beer selection was awesome and the $3 bloody marys on Sundays were perfectly spicey and flavorful. As for the food, loved the homemade fries and onion rings and the portions were huge! For my entree I had the bangers and mash (Irish sausage and mashed potatoes). I'm not usually a big sausage fan but I tried it after a few people recommended it to me, and the meal was delicious! I'll definitely be back here! Great food and good prices. If you're coming through Wells, you have to stop here!

I'm not saying this Is a 4 star restaurant, but for bar food it was 4 stars for sure. Chowder was great, burgers were awesome. Best onion rings I've had in my life. The bartender Tom is a gem, good guy to ask any questions about where you want to go in the area. An all around good time.

    (4)
  • J S.

We went there on a day when they happened to have a Burger Special - probably Monday, and I believe they have an early bird as well. The burgers were excellent, especially when bacon or portobello mushroom were added. The ONION RINGS were about the BEST I have ever had in my life! The batter was perfect - just the right amount of salt/seasoning and crispiness.

This is a Irish pub with separate dining area as well, and they do serve full menu in the bar. Irish food some with the Maine twist like seafood mac and cheese. One of my favorites is bangers and mash. Burgers are great too. Hugh beer selection.

  • Matt D.

Didn't eat any of the food. Looked and smelled good though. This place definately feels like a traditional Irish pub. We just went for the atmosphere and the brews. Had the hooker dopplebock. Pretty good. Along with most of the other traditional European pub brews, they also had a large selection of other beers to fancy anybodys flavor. Would have like to see an outdoor porch for sitting drinking smoking.
