I am giving this two stars because our waitress was funny and nice. The food was probably the worst I have had in a long time. We got a couple of appetizers, which were both dry and hard. When our meal finally came out it was cool and lacked any kind of flavor. I got the lomein and my friend got beef and broccoli. For what it was it was over priced. I will not be going back.

We decided to give Chinatown a try for lunch. My wife had garlic chicken which came with pork fried rice and spring roll. I had orange beef with pork fried rice and dumpling. The waitress was adequate. She wasn't rude, but clearly wasn't pleased with her day. She was completely robotic. I asked for mustard, which I never received. I chose to not press the issue. But she served the lunches and brought chop sticks after I requested them. She couldn't bring herself to smile. Chinatown is probably the first Chinese restaurant I've been to that hasn't offered tea as a beverage. We had glasses of tap water with ice. Tea isn't even on the menu! Soy sauce decanters are on every table, but they are the high sodium (red cap) variety. I have become a fan of the so called light soy sauce (green cap) which apparently is not available at Chinatown. The food was adequate. It had some flavor. The orange sauce on my beef was too thick, but the fresh orange zest was a nice touch. The beef itself was paper thin shards coated with batter. Fried to death, but surprisingly not too greasy nor burned. The few pieces broccoli that accompanied the beef were nicely green with a slight crunch. If I had some pungent mustard for my dumpling, I probably would've thought better of it. My wife's garlic chicken was the better of the two lunches. It had flavor and wasn't dried out or overly greased. The spring roll was a good vehicle for duck sauce. The garlic chicken had a good amount of water chestnut pieces to break up the boring consistency of the chicken bits. I felt OK when I left there, no need for dose of Underberg when I got to the car, consequently, the 3 star rating. If I had felt poorly, I'd have given them a 2 star, but all in all it is a 3 star place. We'd probably go there again if we found ourselves in Topsham at lunch time with a craving for Chinese food.

The service was good, very friendly and never had an empty glass. The food arrived quickly with generous portions. I ordered the orange beef and my fiance ordered the general tso chicken, both with fried rice and egg roll. The egg rolls were crunchy and satisfying. We also ordered a large order of crab rangoon. These were very disappointing, no crab or sweetness at all. They were cooked well but lacked any flavor. Hoping to give them another chance.

This used to be pretty good with almost good service. Now it is really bad with horrible service. The waitress couldn't have been less interested--never even asked is we wanted something to drink. Brought out my dinner then got drinks for the next table---they had to flag her down and ask. Then she brought out their three dinners and then FINALLY brought out my husband's dinner. Both of our dishes were under cooked---his steak and green peppers were totally raw---just awful. There were only three tables occupied while we were there so it wasn't like they were in the weeds. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Ugh

This place is great (for Chinese food in Maine). It has a good menu, good food, and good prices. The combo meals provide a great way to get an appetizer, entree, and fried rice for under $10. I ended up getting the sesame chicken and the person I was with got the ginger sesame chicken. We both enjoyed it. We had great service. Food came fast and was tasty. The country music in the background makes it a very Maine type of place :)

We ordered take out from China Town in a blizzard because we didn't want to make the drive across town to our favorite spot...huge mistake. Their menu online is very inaccurate. When you combine inaccuracy with a language barrier it took 10 minutes to place the order. When I arrived my bill was 62 dollars! I was expecting around 25. Needless to say there were several meals added to the order we never wanted. After 15 minutes of explaining I didn't want those meals and 2 credit card charges (the staff was VERY pleasant about it) I left with the order. When I arrived home no surprise it still was incorrect. We had items we didn't order and missing items we did. To top it off the food was terrible. The beef, orange chicken and egg rolls tasted old. The sesame chicken had so much breading and the sauce was seriously lacking in flavor. We ate cereal for dinner and will never go back. I gave it 2 stars only because the staff was so nice and helpful, not too big on accuracy but nice!

First time here and definitely the last. I ordered the spring rolls which were completely saturated with oil and not that good. For an entree, I had the sesame chicken, which came out to be breaded clumps fried (I found a tiny shred of chicken). Not to mention that it didn't taste like any Sesame Chicken I've had elsewhere. To make this all worse, throw in a local beer and your bill will be $20 - which I would expect to pay for Chinese food in San Diego, not in Maine.

Best Chinese food in the area. Never greasy and everything is made from scratch and to order. Comfort food at it's best. Some of my favs: beef chow fun, singapore style chow fun, ginger chicken with string beans and fried dumplings!

No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions.
