Delicious iced coffee, with coffee ice cubes. The brownies and lemon tarts were also scrumptious. Boyfriend had the tuna sandwich, I had a bite and found it good, not stunning. I'd love to try the other sandwiches. I wish we'd had more time to spend in the cafe. Like Bloc 11 in Somerville, MA, this place used to be a bank and still has a vault inside it. And it's available for parties! For a short weekend trip, we went to Highlands twice and would go back again if we could.
Impressively good latte and drip coffee. We are coffee snobs and we we both pleased. Side note, there is an old bank vault, suit of armor, and some art to check out.
This a really cool coffee shop. It used to be a a bank, make sure to check out the walk in vault (it's available for meeting space) They feature daily specials. I recommend the soups. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. Great coffee lattes and smoothies as well. *They have almond and coconut milk as alternatives to dairy milk. Open mike night is Thursday's at 6pm. Great variety of musicians. They also feature local artists paintings and photography on their walls.

Had waffle cone with Vanilla & "pistachio", my boyfriend had mint chocolate chip. Cheap colored ice-cream, the pistachio made my mouth zing with fake flavors it was horrible. Don't waste your time or money. (Gave an extra star because it's cheap but I would rather pay a little extra for better quality ice-cream)
Such a classic place that never seems to change! Ice cream is always good :) I had mint chocolate chip which is one of my favorites and there was hardly any wait. You also definitely get enough ice cream for your money. Highly recommend it!
When we're in the area, Dorman's is on our MUST STOP list. Over the years we've tried almost all of the flavors. Last night, though we got a quart of Buttercrunch to go. WOW, JUST WOW! Super creamy, with toffee chips and bits of almond. Would be great with hot fudge!

Lovely little cafe, really. I wasn't expecting much for such a small town, but the food was foodie/gourmet level good, the service friendly/efficient and the chef himself came out to check on us. We had ice tea to drink (real ice tea, hallelujah, not that awful instant stuff & we had real Southerners in our party to sign, seal, verify, testify and give a witness, come on now brother, PTL!) and the refills were timely and bottomless. To the best of my recollection, we had some kind of scallop dish, grilled haddock sandwich with added crabcakes, reuben sandwich and a hamburger. All the breads/buns were freshly baked. Really cute country-style interior - spotlessly clean and new with great art and doodads sprinkled sparsely throughout ( = not too much/tastefully done). Both bathrooms were clean and well-appointed (tg, let all weary travelers rejoice!)
My family and I have come up to Maine from Baltimore for the past 10 years and always try the local restaurants during our vacations. In the summer of 2014, we had one of the best meals we had ever had, easily in Maine, and rivaled the best meals we have had in Baltimore. Chef/Owner Ryan Jones uses fresh farm and local ingredients, along with meats and vegetables from his own farm nearby in Thomaston. The menu changes regularly but the skill, artistry, and cleverness inherent in every dish never diminishes. We came back this year with high expectations and they were surpassed! My ribeye steak's Demi-glace was great, not overpowering in the slightest and the oysters Rockefeller rivaled anything I had previously tasted before. My mom had the pan seared haddock and lobster with a champagne lemon sauce reduction that was simply delicious. My girlfriend had the pork tenderloin, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and then shared the blueberry crumble for dessert; phenomenal! Not only was it perfectly light but the pure blueberry flavor really stood out. My parents shared a flourless chocolate cake that was simply elegant and a great caper to a fantastic meal. This place is a hidden gem amongst the many tourist trap and overpriced c+ "4 and 5 star" restaurants in Camden and Rockland. A must stop for foodies, couples, or families looking for a great meal that is an amalgamation of old school elegance and contemporary techniques.
Expect to leave full and happy! The menu has a variety of choices of soups salads and entrees. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally and organically. The food is prepared with pride and the flavor reflects that. They also bake their own bread, have drink specials and excellent desserts! You can almost pass through downtown Thomaston without noticing this corner cafe. It's like a hidden gem.

We have never had anything bad here! We love the entire menu.
yummy take out pizza, especially the feta/spinach/tomato.
Food was good. Some things a good value, some a bit expensive. Glad to have stumbled upon this place. Service was slow and they didn't let us know when our food was ready. Gyro was listed under sub, which I thought would be really cool, but I checked with the cashier that it would definitely be a sub, not just a gyro. It turned out to be just that (boo) so I wasn't really stuffed or anything. They just need to be more concerned with the customer, and less about cleaning up to go home.

Awful place. It has overpriced bland food and staff that forget about you while you wait for service. I used the bathroom to find swears written above the urinals and on the walls plus degrading comments about women on the walls. The pictures and words were all about so staff and management do not care what their patrons including kids see.
Okay, okay I have been to this franchise restaurant before in different states and I had atleast a 3 or 4 star rating. This time it was terrible. I only had the chicken Caesar salad. My friends had the burger, appetizers and wings. We didn't have to wait at all w/ a party of 5. My experience and food wad horrible. My alcohol beverage arrived in a warm glass, and my soda was in a dirty and had oily floaties on the top. My salad was not fresh at all because the greens were eaten by bugs and it was slimy and old. I have enclosed a pic for your review. I explained to the waitress that I was not at all pleased w/ my food. I showed her the greens that i picked out from my salad. She had the audacity to say (and I quote), "Oh we use a big spinner here and they looked bruised greens to me." I asked for the manager and he said, "Oh no it looks like the greens were old and I must agree w/ you they do look like bug bites." Needless to say, I paid in full and corporate received an email with pics from me. My friends had similar experience except for one. They had something fried fish. Sigh, I went w something familiar and got something unfamiliar.
My mom, Andy, Jen, Mat with one t and I came here for dinner before the movies at Flagship. It's a rural Applebee's so instantly better than those around the Boston area, owing to it's newness and the work ethic of the Maine people. The food was just alright, but not much worse than you'd expect at a place that probably has brightly colored placards in the kitchen telling ITT Tech grads how to cook everything. The one food note was that the ribs were "not as good as you'd get from Chili's" according to both Jen and Andy. Odd that the waitresses all seem to carry drinks under their boobs and armpits instead of using drink trays, um, what? Points for also getting in and out in time to get to the movie.
