Had lunch here with my parents, and my mom said that it was the best Reuben that she ever had. And believe me, my mom knows her Reubens. I had the French Dip that was really good. Our server was great, but the food coming out of the kitchen was a bit slow, hence the 4-star rating.

Grabbed lunch with couple people. Setting is an old farmhouse with a beautiful front porch you can sit on and watch the world go by on a nice day. Inside is set up with various dining rooms in the house's former first floor from what I saw. Old floors, fireplaces in most rooms, decor is "country farmer eats" with old photos, tools and some plants around. Service was prompt, courteous, and friendly. Food Mediterranean Chicken Wrap w/onion rings. It was ok -- I think it sat waiting for the other peoples hot plates as the wrap was a little dry on tap and wet with the goods on the bottom. Onion rings were quite good, I think they had a cornmeal mix dip. Skip the pickle :) Buffalo Chicken Pizza -- A hit all around. Can't wait to come back and try some other pies. Tortilla Bowl Salad -- The bowl is baked and isn't super greasy like most places, a nice change. Overall salad was fresh and yummy. I'd go back to try some more pizza!

Considering the location, this place is actually surprisingly good. My father enjoyed his meal very much and the onion rings were great. Service was excellent. However, I ordered the lobster roll and spent the rest of that day and the following day in the bathroom and with a headache. I'm thinking the seafood was not that fresh. I've had shellfish illness once before and the symptoms were the same. Sometimes this happens because of how the food was handled in the kitchen, sometimes it's just a bad batch of seafood coming off the dock. I don't know this was their fault, but I wont order seafood there again.

I really like this place. I have been here a lot and would have to say the Onion Rings are my favorite along with the Duck Wings. The food is ok, but the menu does need some changing. The atmosphere is very homey. Service is good and price is ok. Try it out if you are passing by!

My boyfriend and I were here when we went camping last weekend. I'm gluten intolerant, and they did the best for making sure everything I had was gluten free AND delicious. I forgot the exact name of the pizza I got but it was on gluten free bread and had bbq chicken, peppers, onions and amazingness on it. I also got it with a side of mashed potatoes. Most places don't get gluten free dough right, but they did. And with it being middle nowhere Maine, I was surprised. Pleasantly. :) My boyfriend got back back ribs and fries that he said was delectable. It was a good experience and I highly recommend it. We also had a great waitress.

We have a summer camp in the area. Good to see a new restaurant. Was quite full for a Thursday night - lots of locals. Nice old house with lots of interesting rooms, but feels a bit "tired". Good tap beer selection. Basic pub style food - burgers, pasta, sandwiches, fried clams/shrimp dinners, etc. My wife was very pleased with the lobster ($16). Son liked the buffalo chicken wrap ($9). My fried native shrimp ($14) were just okay. Fair service. Three people, three drinks, three meals, one appetizer = $65 all in.

neat old farmhouse. Very interesting building with many cool little rooms, including a man cave for the sports guys out there. They have what I would call an upscale pub style menu--all the burgers, wings etc. With a large mix of full meals--lobster, steaks, etc. The four of us had four different things and we were pleased with everything. I stuck my head into the bar and it looked like several people were there enjoying themselves. We will definitely return. They get my families recommendation

Literally the best fish tacos I've ever had. I ordered the fish fried instead of blackened. My buddy had the best haddock sandwich he ever had. And he's WICKED picky. Great service and value. I promise I'm a real customer and don't work here or whatever.

The waitress saved the expierence. Food was very poor. I ordered the special, beef stew, I was delivered what looked like vegetable soup with beef. Returned for burger. Wife ordered chicken pesto, worst pasta I've seen in the area. Manager was asked to come say something to our table by the waitress, was declined. Waitress was left to fend for herself and the establishment without any backup. This place is a fail.

Been here a few times, the price of breakfast went up a while ago due to a new chef; however, the chef is no longer there. The breakfast prices are way to high especially with the "special" chef that left. The breakfast food is average at best. The service takes waaayyyy to long. We won't be coming back for breakfast. The bar is good and I believe the food suffers because of that is the main focus.

Just waited almost an hour and a half for breakfast and ended up with waaaaay over-poached eggs. Waitress didn't even say sorry and she knew that we were waiting a long time. I would even venture to say that she is treating me like it's MY fault the food wasn't done right and that I don't want to wait who knows how long for a re-fire. The table that sat down almost 1/2 hour after us got their breakfast first and the waitress said it was because poached eggs take much longer...um, nope? My sister got corned beef hash as a side because she didn't want home fries but they gave her them anyways along with a plate of grey meat with what looked like stewed onions. This place is lucky that there are no other restaurants around. This is my mum's birthday breakfast and I'm so embarrassed that we brought her here. This is just lousy diner food trying to be fancy-- keep driving.

I have tried Maine Street Grille a few times now wanting to like it. We went for breakfast this weekend and it was an average breakfast. The pancake was huge but I felt it was overcooked. The rest of my group felt their breakfast was just ok. As much as I wanted to like them, I didn't. Unfortunately won't be a frequent breakfast spot for us.

I went there once with a group of folks and unfortunately the food was mediocre. From fried clams to steak ... Just okay... The ambiance and staff were nice! They need to go to The Tavern in W. Kennebunk for some cooking tips!!

Breakfast was nothing special. I would go for lunch or dinner instead. There was a very limited breakfast menu. I ended up getting a coffee (blehhhhh! I'm from Seattle, sorry!) and an English muffin sandwich with egg and cheese. My mom crunched into an overly-cooked home fry at the other end of the table, which I heard loud and clear, as did everyone else who looked at her :P

I am a semi-regular at this place, so I have seen the good and bad. I also spend most of my time in the bar area- but I have eaten in the restaurant sections a few times. Good: The old building is very interesting Service is usually quick Decent variety of beer and full bar Different rooms to hang out with friends Parking usually available Just started breakfast with a new chef--- hear fantastic reviews Staff and owners friendly Bad: Bar area can get really full and loud depending on the night Some food is not so good Overall-- definitely grab a few beers and walk around the building, check out the different spaces. As far as food--- almost everything in the Starters/App section can pass for bar food. Usually get wings, chicken fingers, nachos, or quesadillas. Burgers are solid-- never had a bad one. Friends eat calzones often and really like them. I can not recommend more than that--- and I have not eaten much more than that. A great place to hang with friends or chat with locals, catch a game, play online trivia, play pool, or just chill out. Good place for families and groups. Can definitely take a date- just don't expect the food to be phenomenal.

I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. After years of driving by this place from Conway, NH to Portland for various reasons we finally stopped in tonight for dinner. It was pretty slow for a Saturday night which we didn't mind. Our waitress (Nicole I think) was attentive and timely. I loved seeing a 1980's style PacMan machine in the entrance way, as did my 3 year old son. The beer selection was a bit short, with no IPA on tap (I am a hop-head), but I settled for a bit under carbonated APA. Tasty dinner rolls were served unexpectedly, and my Bourbon steak tips ($14) were excellent, the only downer being they would not let me substitute the starch & veg of the day (very good asparagus), with a side salad (extra $5 charge, no sub). I'm also pretty sure the "shitake" mushrooms listed as an accompaniment to the dish were standard white button mushrooms, but the tenderness of the tips and perfect "medium-rare" kept me happy with my choice. My wife's salmon dish was "ok", and my niece's burger was two thumbs up. My 3 year old's hot dog from the kids menu was a quality all beef burger with a nice toasted bun... Lava Cake for dessert was enjoyed by the four of us as we were celebrating my wife's birthday (unfortunately no candles available for the event). I checked out the 2nd floor, and it is a really cool building. The upper bar definitely catered to some locals relaxing, and I could see myself spending time shooting pool or playing foosball with when not in family mode. The building seems ripe with history so I was a bit surprised to not find something on the back of the menu, or anywhere, to tell us of the history of the building. I would hope the owners add that (make it up, we won't know). There was a good LOL when I asked one of the waitresses about the history and she said it was from the 1970's.... the building is clearly late 1800's with a lot of original flooring and some great antiques... Bottom line: cozy American style eatery with limited beer selection but decently priced food and good service... would stop again (and hope there is some history on the building and an IPA on tap)

Dreadful and the list of shortcomings is too vast to detail. Short story: prime rib was served with bottled BBQ sauce and slices of raw onions. It was inedible. Unfortunate because this area needs restaurants and the location is ideal.
