Had a Blue-cheese burger and pub fries - Large portions and delicious, My medium burger was thick and pink, cooked to perfection! The large selection of brews on tap sealed the deal. First rate food and service, And affordable, I will be back!

It's always busy because it's always a great meal. Best sample features to get in my opinion - hand cut french fries, homemade pies, french dip and buffalo wings. Everything is good though.

We were looking for a place close to home for lunch and this popped up with a ton of 5 star ratings. Had to check it out for ourselves and everyone was right, a definite 5 star restaurant! Everything was perfect and the beer selection was phenomenal! We can't wait to go back!

Our waitress helped us with the menu and when we couldn't decide between the homemade sweet pub chips or fries, she gave us our order, with a couple chips on the side! We also ordered nachos which were crisp and delicious. Fries were AMAZING.

Came here for lunch 11am on a thursday. They had just opened. It was a rainy day, I had driven around town and back and forth between Springvale and Sanford for an hour trying to find a sweet little eatery such as this. I realllly did not want a chain store sandwich. I am not from this area and completeky forgot to use the yelp app. For someone just driving around, unless you know it is here, you may not see it or the sign upon passing. More roadside signage or something more noticeable would be awesome especially that would let people know lunch is served. I arrived and was greeted by a friendly server. 2 oj staff out front, one was working the bar. My server promptly filled my request for water and gave me sufficient time to view the menu. Their menu is a very nice variety and I enjoyed that it was just 1 page front and back. It was very appropriate for pub fare and had options even the pickiest eaters could find pleasure in. I chose the grilled chicken pesto panini with side salad. It came out fast. Shows competency of the cooks and she looked professional and hapoy back there. The gentleman also appeares happy and professional. Both had good hygiene and were in good appearance. Food arrived in probably under 10 minutes. Panini was pressed just the way I like it, not too hard but golden and crispy. The pesto, though not housemade (understandeably so, as it can spoil fast and cost more to make in house) was creamy and delicious, perfectly spread. Delicious roasted red peppera and melted cheese. The side salad was tasty and a good mix of veggies. Dressing was a creamy balsamic, very delicious and a nice option compared to most places that have the kind that is not creamy. Atmosphere was appropriate, music was not obnoxious or vulgar. A great place to dine alone, with the family or even to bring your best friend or to enjoy a date with someone special. Plenty of seating and a few tvs to watch the games. Great job, I enjoyed it and will definitely returb.

Cajun haddock is very tasty, the fries are always great, and the local draft beer selections change frequently. What more could you want? My wife and I also ate here Tuesday - we split the salmon BLT and the autumn salad. The BLT was definitely enough for two. The salad had a great Maine combination of roast squash cubes, squash seeds, and cranberry. This is definitely my favorite lunch place. I'm in Maine 3-4 weeks every year, and usually eat here twice every week.

This review is based solely on their bar. We sat there for an hour or so on a Saturday night. The bartender did not do a good job. Very inattentive and no customer service. It was not crowded at all. I ordered a coffee with baileys and you could see through it, when I said this is not right she said yes it is and walked away. I didn't drink it (it tasted like hot water with baileys in it) and she never said I'll make you another one. It sat there til we left. Based on that I probably won't return.

I've visited the public house many times and will continue to do so! Its a community atmosphere and the bartender is awesome! Within the first few minutes of arriving they ask what u would like to drink even if your waiting for a table. Food is good and inexpensive, and the beer selection has local brews on tap! Enjoy your experience.....

I had the good fortune of stumbling across the Springvale Publick House recently and couldn't have been more pleased with the food and service we received. Our server, Lori, was both knowledgeable and extremely helpful for our party of six. The menu was full of choices and our food arrived quickly. Everything was perfect and I will certainly be back the next time I'm passing through Springvale.

Let me tell you that the pulled pork sandwich does NOT taste like cat food. It's actually the best I've had. That lady was probably intellectually disabled and felt a sense of entitlement to write an angry review on Yelp. Get off your pedestal and eat some real cat food, you reject. I always get the French dip with onion soup because the prime rib is made specially for the sandwich and not old leftovers from the night before like other places in the area. Everything is made in-house including the dressings. Adam is a culinary saint. Don't let these intellectually disabled angry reviewers fool you; they have false senses of entitlement and probably request Coors Light in bottle at a pub with 20 micro brews on draft. No one owes you anything so shut up and stay at home.

By far our favorite place to go. Always a great beer selection on tap, friendly staff, and of course great food. They have the best onion petals and chipotle ranch dip around!

Just tried this place and it was good. I got the buffalo chicken panini and pub fries. They have a good selection of beers on tap and fast service. I gave it 4 stars because the waitress we had was not too good. Other than that it was great, and I'll definitely be going back again.

Love this place! Friendly staff, great food, and great atmosphere. Their stuffed mushrooms are a favorite of my husband's and I think their peanut butter chocolate pie is to die for. Can't recommend this place enough :)

Excellent food, great service. We go there a minimum of once a week because everything is so reasonably priced. If you love beer they have plenty to choose from.

If you're looking for a good burger, this is where you want to get it! I tried the mac and cheese here and it was very different than what I expected. It wasn't bad, just not something I'd order again.

We really love the food here. The sandwiches are very fresh and varied. The fried pickles are the best we've ever had. They're available whether or not they're on the board - just ask for them. All portions are huge. Service is excellent. If we lived closer by, we'd be in there every week.

Had an excellent meal at the Publick House tonight. Was the first ever visit, and it came recommended from local friends. The 1/2 order of pulled pork nachos had great flavor. I had the pesto chicken sandwich which was really tasty and filling, and the hand-cut sweet potato chips were plentiful and great. My companion had the Cajun haddock sandwich, and the fish was FAR smaller than the bun but the flavor was good. Overall, good atmosphere, great service, and enjoyed the tasty food.

The sweet potato fries were highly recommended and they weren't kidding. The best I've had. The chicken pesto Panini was very good as well. My son enjoyed the fish and chips. Atmosphere was casual and wait-staff is friendly. Would definitely go back.

Some people love this place, Me, not so much. Food is mediocre, pricey, and not too friendly, unless your a regular, yes one of those places!!!

THE friendliest staff in town. The food is always fresh. You know that because they run out of items on the menu quite often. The beer selection is eclectic and fun. Great wraps, sandwiches, and sides. The pies are killer. Best pecan pie I have ever had.

Places like this are the reason that I use Yelp. I'm not familiar with the area, but we drove slightly out of our way to find the Springvale Publick House. When we got there, we were immediately glad that we did. The selection of beers on tap was nothing short of remarkable, and everyone was satisfied with their food. I look forward to going back when I'm in the area.

This is the shock to the system that Sanford/Springvale needs. As a recent college graduate I spend a lot of time looking for the nightlife and pub feel that I had been accustomed to for so long. Unfortunately moving home after my degree was mounted has left me only options to travel 45 minutes to find comparable atmosphere. This place although relatively new to the community has done a great job at that. $5-15 dollar pub food. Great Microbrews and Domestic on draft. Exceptional staff. It was packed on a Tuesday! I highly suggest it.

Mug club is great, and the food is excellent. Tried the burger, fried pickles, tuna panini, and fries. All were very tasty. Would highly recommend.

Stopped by for sandwiches and a beer and was very impressed. It has only been open for three weeks and seems to be running very smoothly. Twenty beers on tap and more in bottles. The sandwiches were delicious and one of the sides included hand-cut chips which were great.

After being open for some time, the Publick House has got their stuff together and have a great restaurant. The menu is small but tasty. The burgers are excellent and the staff is friendly. We go for dinner twice a month.

Rude service. Came in here with a few of my coworkers for a take out lunch. Though we were immediately noticed and waited upon, we told them we wanted to order to go because it was the first beautiful day in 3 days. They didn't seem pleased we were ordering take out, nor were they pleased that we all wanted to pay separately. The waitress that took our lunch order made a fuss and a obnoxiously loud comment about us paying separately and we weren't offered a place to sit to look at the menu, to order nor to wait for our order. We actually had to find menus for ourselves to order because we weren't even given menus. All our sandwiches were average. They shorted us a fork so one of my coworkers had to eat a salad with a spoon. All 3 salads were inconsistent, only 1 of the 3 had cheese. Though I would say portions are rather large, my chicken pesto sandwich had no flavor. It was a big piece of juicy chicken, but I paid $10 for a piece of chicken on toasted bread? Really, not worth it. I had high hopes for this place. Not impressed, I won't come back here not for the food and especially not the service. They just lost business from at least a handful of business-professionals from around the corner, I don't believe my coworkers nor I will be returning and I know I won't recommend my coworkers and visiting clientele, family and friends here.

I have been here several times and always have had a great experience. The fried pickles are my favorite! I have tried the pulled pork sandwich, chicken pesto sandwich, and the French dip-they where all very good. Their beer list is great and the cocktails are made from scratch- lemon drop being my favorite. It is always packed every time I go and I take that as a good sign that the food and service is good.

My husband and I have become somewhat regulars at the pub...the best margaritas ever!! The use fresh squeezed limes and no bar mix. We've been thru the entire menu and have been completely satisfied. The staff is always friendly and really seem to be happy to be at work. We live in Springvale and are so pleased to have a great nieborhood pub! If you haven't been, try it and surely you'll agree!

We have been in for both drinks and food - happy every time we have visited. I was impressed with the staff - very friendly, welcoming people. Good, comfortable atmosphere and ample space at the bar or for your family dinner. Also, very clean and well kept! Great variety of microbrews on tap for all you beer lovers! The food is GREAT - they have some very talented cooks! Defintely worth checking out!
