This is a chain location. Therefore, I am not able to offer a comparison to the "original," where chains tend to dish out their finer products (e.g. Regina's Pizza, North End, Boston). You enter and walk downstairs into a basement dining area. There is a nice, clean little bar, fully equipped and even comes with it's own 11:00 AM regulars; I wish to convey no negative overtones with this. I like the sort, recently retired and down to hang. We ordered a large pepperoni pan pizza. The crust had just enough rigidity to prevent it from being a floppy pie. The sauce was not too sweet and the pepperonis were quality. I will be hard pressed to try anything else. Just the same, I have heard that everything is delicious. Enjoy.

Not so sure about this Pats. In college I was in Standish, ME and went to that Pats pizza all the time. I stopped in with a friend at this one and didn't find it too impressive. The dining area is in a basement. The service was below average and it wasn't busy at all. Food was just food nothing memorable about the pizza at all. Very disappointed. But all in all one thing I do know about Pats is that if you get anything other than a pizza, calzone or wings, just don't. There will be nothing great about it. I got haddock once which was a frozen square patty and the burger was a frozen unimpressive burger as well.

Pat's Pizza in Scarborough is one of those places we forget about until we are hungry on our way home from errands (and McDonald's or Wendy's is not what we're looking to eat). We usually stop here before a trip to the grocery store. We wouldn't go out of our way to come here, so that's why it earns 3 stars. The service has been great the few times we've eaten inside, and the pizza is pretty tasty but not amazing. It's good enough to come back, but it's just standard faire.

Pizza should be mouthwatering in every bite, filling, and presentable. That's what I found at Pat's. The pizza was made to order and when it came out, I was so content! When I bit into my first slice, I could taste the tomatoes and sauce. I love that in a pizza. The crispy bacon and banana peppers added to that flavor. The crust is crunchy and tastes fresh.

I just got back from Boston and had a difficult time finding a gluten free pizza near my daughter's home. The one I tried was "okay," but I couldn't wait to get back home for one of Pat's Pizza's gluten free pizza's. I love everything about it! I don't know if Pat's has other gluten free selections, and we always do take-out, so I can't comment on anything else.

I'm bald. I've made my peace with not having hair on my head. In fact, my wife thinks it looks kinda sexy, which is why I shave the little I have left and go for that chrome dome look. So, if I deliberately go to great lengths to depilate my noggin, odds are, I don't want or need someone else's hair. Toupees and wigs...no thanks. So why would I want HAIR IN MY PIZZA?!!!? Yep, you read that right. There was hair baked into the crust. And not just any hair, mind you...but black hair that was kinda short and kinky. Which I am telling myself is arm hair that came off when they were making the dough. I will say this...when I pointed it out, they refunded me the cost of the pizza. In fact, the pizza was $15.78 and they handed me $16....so I came out twenty two cents ahead. Still don't think I'll come back in this lifetime.

Pat's isn't fancy, but if the state of Maine decided to pick an official pizza it would have to be Pat's. This local chain has deep Maine roots and some uniquely Maine offerings. Unique? Pat's? Enjoy a thicker crust, try ordering double dough. It transforms the pie into a whole different pizza, and I have never seen it as an option anywhere else. How, about mushrooms? I love all types, but on a pizza can sometimes get dried out. At Pat's they give you the option of fresh or canned. I go for canned every time. I am normally a farm fresh guy, but somehow on a pizza canned mushrooms kick fresh's butt. Pats isn't likely to make any of the national lists of great pizza, but I doubt they care. What they do care about is providing great service and making simple good food that anyone can afford.

Seriously: BEST PIZZA ever. I am a pizza fan, It is my favourite fast food so I've tried many and this one won't disappoint you. You must try: -Cheeze bread stick (which are a little bit like a cut calzone with a marinara sauce to dip) -DOUBLE DOUGH CRUST Pizza And I love their pepperoni !

Overall disappointing. Very very bland pizza. I've been here twice and both times the crusts were cardboard like, the sauce was tasteless and the cheese blah. Even the toppings were off- I ordered green pepper and onion and found my pizza to be absolutely COVERED with onions. Do yourself a favor and get pizza elsewhere.

I went to Pats today and I found it to be strange that I had to go to the basement to be seated. When the waitress came over to ask for what drinks we would like we asked Pepsi or Coke products, she said Pepsi down stairs where we were seated and Coke upstairs, here's the catch though you can't get refills on Coke products because they have to go upstairs. Now the order is something else we had garlic bread for an appetizer when that came out it tasted bitter and it was also burned. The actual meal was a large cheese pizza, I have had Ellios pizza that has tasted better. They state it is fresh to me it tasted like frozen pizza. We asked for it to be well done when I grabbed my slice it sloped down and hit my forearm however the slice my 5 year old son tried to eat was a whole other deal. When he took a bite he said "Why are you trying to feed me stones?" The dough on his slice was solid. Needless to say I will never take my family back there again. Don't let hunger cloud your judgement. Enter at your own risk.

Last place you think to go for a Lobster Roll but the best value for miles around. We had their specials lobster roll for only $7.29 (add $1 for fries). Definitely try it with mayo (I got mine with butter and found it kind of dry). Excellent friendly wait staff. Two thumbs up.

Probably not the quintessential New England pie I was looking for during my trip up to the area, but it was late and Scarborough didn't reveal much variety. Given the tavern theme and the miscellaneous sounds of mirth I overheard as I was entering the upstairs section to place my order, I can see why some folks hold Pat's in high regards. The pizza was everything I thought it would be - a well-rounded, flavorful sauce that paired well with the cheese. I was disappointed that the crust didn't have much color or crunch, though it seemed like something that could have been rectified by an extra minute in the oven. Anyway, I'm from Kansas, so this was the beggars can't be choosers, and this was the best pizza I had in quite some time.

I grew up on Pat's Pizza. It has the best thin crust around. If you are into a more doughy pizza, you can ask for a double dough. Their person size is perfect to share. You can make up whatever combo you want - my favorite is chicken, garlic and spinach. My friends love the Super Italiano Calzone....but you have to LOVE garlic to enjoy this one. The dining room has a great family pub feel. Excellent to meet with a group of friends for a beer and and pie.

Love their pizza. We get the small sizes so that everyone can have their own toppings. Garlic bread is great and so is the buffalo chicken salad. Family friendly. Staff is always friendly and helpful at restaurant and take out area. Prices are very reasonable.

This was my first meal in Maine... I came here with a party of 8, I got to try a few appetizers and an entree, plus I got to see and hear about my table-companions' selections... First a note on the atmosphere: there were more people at the bar than there were in the restaurant, everyone was sort of quiet, everyone stares at everyone else, there was no music to speak of. Now for the food: the pizza isn't crust it's dough (it's thin and not very attractive), the jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks come with good sauces in very big portions for cheap but are perhaps a little bit too bready for me, my lobster roll was actually pretty good for a very affordable price -- it came with a huge chunk of lobster and a lot of mayonnaise-drenched lobster strands although the accompanying chips were stale, the salads are huge but come with so many croutons and so much dressing that they couldn't possibly be good for you but at least they're cheap, the buffalo chicken nachos got very negative reviews, and the potato skins got rave reviews. Service was attentive but things got a bit confusing when it came time to pay... Overall a very good experience and a decent introduction for me, as a tourist, to the relaxed ways of Mainers.

Whenever I visit my family in Maine, I have to get a canned mushroom or pepperoni pizza from Pat's! I don't know what it is about this pizza, but it always makes my list of "things-to-do" while back home. I usually order take-out, but they have a restaurant as well.

Since I grew up on Pat's pizza, it is hard for me to be objective. I love love love the thin crust dough pizza they serve here. I don't eat much else from the restaurant, besides the occasional takeout sandwich on my lunch break. If I did not grow up on Pat's Pizza, I may be taken aback a little by the restaurant itself. The decor has not changed in the 20+ years I have been dining there. For some reason that does not bother me though, it is almost refreshing to step back to a slower pace of life. If you happen to be passing through Route One in Scarborough, I would definitely recommend stopping for a Pat's Pizza.

It was ok. The resturant was clean. The service was friendly. However.......The food took a long time to arrive. There were no kids menus, however you can order off the menu kids items. The atmosphere was very "townie" which on one hand is very nice, however......"Cheers" anyone? The food was just not too tasty. We had two quesadillas, chicken fingers and two pizzas, The quesadillas were dry and almost burnt. The chicken were a bit dry and the fries were just not tasty. The pizza's were quite good though. I don't think I would go back....Unfortunately. I really wanted it to be better.

The pizza is okay if you are there...but never order the spaghetti. Their basement restaurant is a nice nice place to hang out for a beer.
