Dunkin’ Donuts

I'm picking this location because we went there a couple of times but it should serve as my review of all Dunkins throughout the northeast. Damn good coffee! It's liquid crack is what it is. I love finding a place that serves up quality coffee, quick and cheap, on a regular basis. They even toss out the old joe after half an hour. Think Quiktrip does that? Think again buddy! Of course they have donuts and bagels to go with your cuppa, but they also have breakfast sandwiches and hashbrowns to round out your morning. Do it. Do the Dunkin. You know you wanna. It'll be good for you.

Marcel's is the fine dining restaurant at the resort where we're staying. On Sundays from 11:30-2 they serve a brunch buffet that's as good as most I've tasted (think the Claremont or pretty much any large hotel buffet in Hawaii) and they charge $22. You read that right. They served such a large variety of hot dishes I couldn't taste them all, plus several salads, cheeses, seafood, fruit, omelets made to order, roast beef and crown roast carved to order and a table of desserts I barely glanced at. Plus a lobster and corn chowder that was terrific. Almost forgot that. We were seated at a booth w/ a gorgeous view of the bay. We had a choice of champagne, mimosa or juice, plus coffee and tea. Alan reported the Eggs Benedict was good. Everything I tasted was good, but the revelation was the blueberries, which were fat, firm and flavorful. The strawberries were good too. A pianist played unobtrusively in the background.

Best place on the mid-coast! Great service and the menu is solid. Cocktails are also fantastic. The open kitchen is welcoming and the vibe of the whole place is very cool. I've eaten there many times and I always leave thinking "yup, the is the spot!" The Duck PB & J is outta this world!
We really enjoyed our meal here. It was apparent why they were nominated for a James Beard award in their first year. We tried a lot of different items on the menu and it was all exceptional. The only issue was the grilled fish we ordered - it was completely raw on the inside. Whoever was cooking the fish that night was not on their game. Rookie mistake. But someone whose not a rookie should have caught the mistake before it got to out table. The fish looked beautifully grilled/cooked, but as soon as we opened it up - well it was just plain raw. I can see this happening at a place not so high end, but it shouldn't happen at such a steller restaurant like this one.
This place has amazing food!! We were shocked at the diversity of the menu and flavors offered at this gem in this cozy Maine town. I guess we shouldn't have been surprised, as it was recommended to us by locals. We shared a pork belly sandwich, oysters, and clam tacos. The oysters had a nice spice to them, the tacos had great guacamole, and the sauce on the pork belly sandwich was super tasty... all unique but not over powering flavor. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Excellent and good value. Service occasionally slow in peak periods
Our first visit to Mr. Wat's after hearing good things from many friends for a long time now. I had Yakisoba, which was excellent. Mari had the Sidewalk Spaghetti, which she seemed to enjoy thoroughly. The shrimp in her dish looked great! Ben was a little less adventurous going with the fried rice. He said it was great. He went with the fried coconut ice cream for dessert. It was a hit. Service was good. Prices reasonable. Menu had just enough depth to have a little something for everyone. We will be back!
Very delicious meal. My husband and I were feeling a bit under the weather but we forged ahead and began with a sake sampler and scallion pancakes which were hot crisp and not in the least bit greasy. The miso soup was hot and delicate and Not salty. We ordered wide noodles and tofu which was flavorful and full of crispy vegetables. The only complaint being a bit too sweet!

Insanely good. I can't imagine anyone ever giving less than 5 stars. $14 for a small portion of pasta & clams... came with 6 fresh clams and perfectly seasoned with garlic slices, pancetta, parmesan. Yum! Pizza with gorgonzola was amazing. Had to add proscuitto-wrapped scallops once we saw an order. Served on squid ink-- YUM! Oven-roasted in front of us... perfection! This was, by far, our fanciest meal in Maine but we were fine to go in jeans and the staff was friendly and personable. The ingredients were fresh. Four of us-- entrees, two apps, two drinks, three desserts. $120. Not bad for all that we got. Highly recommend!! We've been staying at Samoset for four nights and wish we hadn't waited so long.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. We dined in and used the room service option. Breakfast was delicious. When dining in the restaurant there is a yummy breakfast buffet with a custom omelet station, waffles, fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage. They also had a lot of pastries and both hot and cold cereal. When we ordered room service, we had the panini with prosciutto and fontina cheese, we also had the Italian breakfast (croissant and cappuccino). The girls had pancakes and muffins. All were delicious - especially their coffee. We also had lunch and dinner in the restaurant as well. Over the course of 4 days, we had: Caesar salad with shrimp - very tasty Lobster ravioli - very good Burgers - my daughters liked them Spaghetti with clam sauce - great Lobster roll - so so - It had a weird taste What was really nice is that you can get a large or small portion of all the pastas. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully appointed. The outdoor seating area is lovely. We would defiantly come back, but would steer clear of the lobster roll.
Gorgeous restaurant. Went for dinner and breakfast and enjoyed both. Had the chicken saltimbocca which was tender and fresh, with delicious mashed potatoes and vegetables. A little overpriced for what it was, but hey, you're at a resort. The blueberry pie for dessert was divine, as was the chocolate/coffee creme brulee. The breakfast buffet was divine, with scrumptious pastries (I must have had 4 of the blueberry strudels) and a delicious, fresh breakfast pizza with egg, cheese and vegetables. Waitstaff was very good and the views are excellent. The place is clean and trendy.

Subpar. Raw cabbage in a burrito about sums it up. Not super welcoming, especially to young kids. Server was friendly but running around a lot. I'm not planning to head back unless it's to have a drink on the patio and eat some chips.
Stopped in for appetizers with the kids. Fabulous guacamole, queso, nachos and churros. The service was excellent!!
I am a local to the area and I have eaten at this restaurant a few times and the service has been less than desirable but I had given the benefit of the doubt because the food was good until now. 2 of us arrived with only 2 tables of people there, placed our order and waited. A party of 8 and a part of 10 arrived and 45 min after we arrive all the other tables were served and we still had no food and no interaction from the owner or the waitress. I finally ask where our food was and the answer was 10 more minutes. After 1 hour of waiting. I asked to cancel my order and the only response I got was "ok sorry about that" not even an offer to comp our drinks to stay because my husband was coming and would've ordered a meal and drinks too. Just awful service and no customer appreciation at all. Pretty pathetic.

I actually went to this place 2 night in a row while on a training trip. The first night i had the fried scallops and whole clams, haddock chowder and strawberry shortcake. My waitress, Teresa was FABULOUS! I really enjoyed my meal, though the chowder tasted faintly like their other soup of the day, cheeseburger soup, though it was still tasty. The salad bar had a nice variety too. I wanted to mention again how great the server was - checked in just the right amount and was always pleasant, even when one of the other servers was crabbing to her about something customers shouldn't hear, and when it was a little lengthy waiting for my meal (not her fault anyway). It was such a nice experience and so much more low-key than other places around, I decided to take my family there the following night. I was happy to see we had the same waitress, who was just as great the second time. This time my food was not to my liking though. I had the lobster pie, which had a description of a casserole with a ritz crumb topping. It arrived containing numerous large chunky of green pepper, hunks of lobster and a ?bourbon? sauce or some brown alcoholic tasting sauce with a pinch of 2 of cracker crumbs drowning in it. Nothing else in the lobster pie. Even after picking the chunks of pepper out it still tasted disgusting. I did tell the waitress I thought it a strange combo of lobster and peppers. Everyone else had great meals that night. I would return but recommend they change that recipe quick! I've had a lot of lobster pie but never like that.
I'd passed this roadside restaurant a number of times and seen their menu and I really wanted to like it... Lunch today....really nice people, good service, friendly and accommodating...I wanted something with a salad so ordered shrimp scampi... Salad bar was really well stocked and fresh. Nothing exotic, but good variety. The scampi was ... well, it was good, but it wasn't scampi. Five well cooked medium/large shrimp sautéed with some chopped tomato and sliced peppers over linguine, it was tasty and light. Some Parmesan or maybe more garlic and lemon would have helped. Fresh bread was offered but I didn't try that; the table next to me was really enjoying their loaf. Overall I enjoyed the meal and I did like the place...but might try something different the next time. $24 w tip could have been better spent. (The list of pies looked amazing too, maybe lobster chowder and dessert?)
Outstanding chowder, service a bit overwhelmed. Fried oyster special was overbreaded and greasy but fries were fresh and excellent. Would certainly return.
