Called for takeout on a lazy Friday night. We ordered a large house fried rice (enough to feed four hungry adults), steamed dumplings, small lomein & chicken and vegetables with brown rice. Service was nice and food was ready in 15 min, which is fantastic on a Friday night in Portland! I didn't realize that the portions were so large, so now we have food to feed us for the weekend. Not complaining for the total price of $40. I've not dined in, but we were satisfied with our take-out!

A great spot for when you are tired of ramen and steamed buns and just want a big pile of candied pork, egg rolls and hot and sour soup. They may not be fastest or culinary superstars, but they deliver over a huge area and make consistent food that satisfies those deep dark cravings. ;)

Others' reviews ring true for this family-owned restaurant. They are always gracious. Delivery is, of course, very convenient. Their tack on $3.50 for a delivery surcharge. The delivery person apologized. I've ordered about 5 times now. They're reasonably quick. But they seem to have no database to recognize regulars; they always have to ask all the pertinent info. each time. The food is so-so. Dumplings maybe a 3 star. The sesame noodles are tasteless, for one reason only: at the bottom of the tray there is never any sauce! I know, why do I keep ordering this? Well, I learn the hard way, if at all, I guess! They are good at honoring, or at figuring out, what a 'little spice' means, versus 'moderately spicey'. There aren't many chinese restaurants in town, so... The Thai ones? Some add sugar, it seems, so... Maybe Boston on this one....

Pretty standard Chinese here kids. I like getting delivery from Valley, pretty fast most of the time too. what I don't like is the long on phone ordering process. took 5 mins just to give delivery address, phone number, cc number, name on card, cc billing address....c'mon its 2015!! get together and figure out a way to expedite the process or im just going to call another delivery spot.

The chicken in our stir fry had clearly gone bad. Greasy, poorly thought through food, made with the lowest quality ingredients. They skimp on the veggies. You can't get fried rice without pork. There is just absolutely no reason to ever set foot in this places, especially with all the choices in North Deering. People should be embarrassed to run a business like this. Their prices are not particularly low either!

Ordered soup because I don't feel well. They forgot to put the soup in the bag and when we called back they stated that they could only credit us the amount instead actually bringing my soup. When I called back to order soup, they stated they had a $10 minimum and wouldn't deliver unless I ordered more food (had also already ordered a meal for someone else and an app and had more than enough food). Given that they are so busy delivering they couldn't possibly spare a driver, one would think it wouldn't be too much a stretch to swing back by my downtown apartment and bring me the food I ordered in the first place. One star for poor customer service.

Valley is your standard greasy Chinese food. Not bad, but not that good either. Cheap, sure, but you're better off somewhere else! (Though they're one of the few places open on Christmas Day.)

While staying in Portland, Maine I was able to order some chinese food. On both occasions I got what I ordered. The food is awesome, great taste, the delivery driver is courteous, the service overall was prompt. I was told 30-45 min and sure enough both times it was delivered in 30 minutes.

Squarely average, but when you need some take-out on a Friday night, it'll do. That said, the dumplings really are some of the worst I've ever had; thick and doughy and light on the filling. The chow fun, though, is not bad and you really can't go wrong with any of the vegetarian dishes.

I mean, what do you expect, really? Delivery was fast, my order was accurate. Greasy Chinese delivery. The sweet and sour chicken was really gross. Heavy, dense breading on huge slices of dry chicken and no vegetables or anything. That's what I get for ordering sweet and sour chicken, I guess. The Mushu pork "pancakes" were just grocery store flour tortillas and the crab Rangoon filling was so greasy that it looked curdled and separated. But hey, one of our fortune cookies had two fortunes in it, so, woo!

Dont' pay with a fifty or higher, they will think it's fake and rip it in half. Because their idiots. And by the way, the foods not great, the best thing I can say about it is that it didn't make me sick.

Take out, very fast and very good. Crab rangoons were very tasty, the beef with broccoli was good but not as good as the chicken with cashews I normally get. The portions are large and this place delivers to almost all of cumberland county. Towns like Yarmouth, Cape Elizabeth even Windham. That alone gets a star.

Sigh. Chinese food is one of life's greatest things. However, I can't give Valley more than 2 stars. Their dumplings are okay, but the rest of the food is just sub-par. Americanized stuff like General Tso's is awful here; it's almost no chicken and all breading. Awful. The szechuan chicken is pretty tasteless, and even the rice is bad. They're good because they're one of the only places that delivers in the Portland area, but since discovering Jan-Mee, Valley is out. Two stars because they deliver, they're friendly, the prices are fair, but... two stars because their food isn't that great :(

Awful, awful food. So bad. Ordered hot and sour soup, very bland-not hot nor sour. Got a gin and tonic, sent it back because I'm pretty sure that they only put tonic in it. It came back still very tonic-y and not gin-y. Ordered the seafood delight. It was the blandest thing I've ever put in my mouth-I'm not sure HOW you can even make vegetables taste that bland. Ended up sending THAT back because the fish was bad in it (which proceeded to make me feel sick all night). All around bad experience. I won't be back.

My favorite is boneless BBQ pork. It's flavorless at Valley.

Their hot and sour soup tastes like feet. That's all I have to say.

The service was good and the waitress was friendly. Delivery was really fast, too. It's a full-sized sit-down restaurant complete with a bar but the food is a bit more like you'd expect from a smaller, to-go only type of place Portions are large, menu is long and dishes are cheap. Not a bad experience but not fine dining.

Awful. Ordered orange chicken, egg drop soup and chicken fingers. Orange chicken was all batter and very little identifiable meat with a taste of old fish and fry oil that has gone rancid. Soup has the consistency of melted gum and a foul flavor. I would advise anyone to go elsewhere.
