A real small store tucked behind a head shop on Forest Ave hails the best Falafel around. The falafel comes in a fresh pita wrap, with tomatoes and lettuce. Real simple, but excellent. And at only 5 bucks. (Get the mango sauce too) The desserts are great as well. And the naan. It's all made there, and it's all great. They've also just started making Iraqi Pizza too on the naan bread, but I've yet to try that out. Very friendly. Definitely plan on supporting this family-run business more.

This place has the best bread I have ever tasted! I adore the flat, round tandoori bread...it is always freshly baked and keeps very well in the fridge. I have not tried their luncheon menu, but can't wait to taste the falafel.

Awesome bread. Something a little different for when you're craving a sandwich. The foul, the falafel, and the kababs are great. Everything is made to order, so you might have to wait awhile.

I come here often to get sandwiches to go. I've had the shawarma/gyros, falafel, and the baklava. All were very good. The guy behind the counter cuts all the veggies for the sandwiches fresh while you wait. It's a bakery so the bread is baked fresh everyday. It is the best pita I've ever had. It's chewy and strong enough to make wraps, but soft at the same time. When I come in for lunch I always buy a bag of the bread to take home. There are only two tables inside so you should probably plan to get the food to go. The parking lot in front is very small, but there is usually plenty of space along the road to park and there is a parking lot in the back.

This place is amazing! Everything I've tried here is delicious: falafel, lamb shwarma, foul, spinach pie, hummus. Incredible hummus. One time the dude whipped up a fresh batch while I waited. It took a few extra minutes but it was the freshest hummus I ever ate and maybe the best. Their bakery is totally legit too; I really like the samoon (elliptical shaped bread). Their menu keeps expanding - every time I go in there's a bunch of new stuff on the menu. I can't wait to try all of it.

Tandoor is the best $5 sandwich you can get. But I would pay more for what they do. The bread. THE BREAD. oh man it's so soft and fluffy and delicious. I also go I thinking "okay, just a sandwich. Just a sandwich." And leave with a bag full of fresh soft naan that's still warm. There is a very important piece of information that you MUST remember in order to make your tandoor experience the best it can be: when ordering Shwarma, the answer to "mango or spicy?" Is always "both!" Such a good combination and their falafel is so fresh and tasty. You just have to be okay with not judging a book by its cover. Often when I'm ordering I think to myself "one day I'll just bring a can of paint and a few frames and make this place less of an eyesore." The environment is no-frills to say the least. But the staff are all very friendly. On more than one occasion when I'm waiting for my sandwich they've poured me a cup of tea from "home" and made me feel really welcome.

Delicious pastries are available here! They've got baklava, a sesame baked good, and something with cornmeal and coconut. I don't know what the names were but they are all super tasty! The owner was very nice and explained in detail what they offered. Prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back to try the falafel. The bakery is tucked away in a small lot. There is 15-minute parking available on the street. Tip: bring cash and small change.

This is my new go-to falafel sandwich. $4.99. Definitely get the mango sauce (savory, not sweet). I've had it twice in one week...and will be back soon. Food is 5 star... ambience and general interest in having patrons is closer to a 2. But the delicious food/bread definitely makes it worth a visit.

Talk about a hidden gem. I went here the first week it opened and after buying one package of bread was given some fresh from the oven. Not that the bagged one wasn't still warm, but the woman was seriously like - oh you have to taste it out of the oven haha. This place is on the way back from work for me and I stop often. I go for the bread and occasionally treat myself with other things. Is it convenient that they are next to Haggartys? Heck yes! Nevermind the naan, come get the bread here and it's them together!

The tandoori bread here is by far the star. Make sure you get a bag to go for later. Falafel was pretty good but the beef shawarma was amazing. I wish they had more seating (1 table) but just go there with the mind set of getting it to go and either eat at home or at the park. You can't beat the food and price. The people working were very pleasant as well.

Tucked back off Forest Ave, this place is a delicious find and frankly make the best falafel I've had on the east coast. Chewy Iraqi bread, foul: pronounced fool (a comforting and savory fava bean spread similar to hummus but served warm and their delicious falafel are all stand outs. The falafel sandwich with hot sauce is also excellent and HUGE! The food is filling and authentic, prices are very reasonable and the place is run by a husband and wife team with their kids. When my husband asked which days they're open, the wife looks at him like it's the dumbest question she's ever heard and tells him they're open everyday. 'Nuf said. These people work hard. Highly recommended. Order a bag of homemade Iraqi bread to take home and thank me later.

Perfectly imperfect. I love this place, the people, the little things that make it memorable. And the food? That bread just flat out smangs it. (not to mention the cheese pies and the falafel) Cannot wait to devour the shawarma!

Just stopped here to pick up some Indian bread and it was definetly well worth it. I will be back to try the falafel and shawarma. Tiny little place not easy to find and parking is tight but worth the effort.

Worth making a special trip for his special bread. We use it to make the best pizza. And the falafel is the best--crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside.

I cant agree more with the other review here. Really the best falafel in town. And on their famously fresh delicious bread. Ask for the spicy sauce, just the right amount of tang and not too spicy.

The people here are nice, and the food is fantastic. Five bucks gets you a half-day's worth of falafel, and the guy cranking out flatbreads even threw me a free 1.5 foot diameter one after jovially inviting me over to the tandoor to see up close how they're made. Can't recommend this place enough, and I hope they expand in the future.
