Pat's Pizza is a go-to for lunch or to meet up with friends. It's familiar, friendly, and everyone has options! Since I have Celiac, I review most restaurants based on their gluten-free-friendliness... Pat's is not a dedicated facility, but the gluten-free crust bakes in a separate pan, avoiding contact with the oven or other non-GF crusts. I have not had any bad reactions here, and the staff is very attentive and accommodating!

So, there are times that you need to go to Pat's pizza and there are times that you need to stay clear of Pat's Pizza. If you are looking for good pizza with a fun atmosphere, then this place is for you .. it has a bar downstairs and a section for tables and eating upstairs. I think that the establishment is fairly new so, you can still see the newness of it all. The times that you dont want to go would be on a busy sports night. The service is lacking and the food came out a little cold ... the busier the time there, the tougher it is to enjoy. Although, even with the service not being great and the pizza being cool, it was still delicious and scrumptious. The noise was crazy (of course we were placed right below the stairs leading upstairs and on a busy night, it is like a cattle herd tromping upstairs and you could barely hear each other speak. The good thing about this place is it is a cheap dinner and beer for the Old Port and it will fill yer belly before a night rambling through the streets of Portland, ME.

I came here for a school event upstairs where Pat's provided salad, an eggplant dish, spaghetti with a chicken/tomato sauce, and a variety of pizza. My favorite was definitely the chicken pasta sauce, it was super tender and I only wish there was more! I would definitely come back for the pizza, and probably for their happy hour too :)

There is not a Pat's Pizza I have been to that I did not like a lot. The atmosphere is always fun and upbeat, the servers and bartenders are always friendly and the restaurants are always clean and well kept. The Portland location is great, it is large so you can fit a crowd, and is in a very convenient location for a bite to eat before heading home after a night out on the town. Lets not forget about the pizza. Pat's has a nice thin crusted pizza that is cooked to perfection and simply tastes great. Its not your fancy pizza like OTTO's, but it is a pizza that everyone will enjoy, including your picky eaters (a.k.a, your children). The price is always reasonable and the service is fast even when busy. At this location they have a great selection of beers on tap, including my favorite, Allagash White. I have yet to try out the other italian syle dishes, but I am sure they are as good as the pizza.

Came here for dinner after my most recent heist went awry. Luckily I had made off with some cash but not the expected haul. Split a pizza and some potato skins with my PNC(Partner N Crime). I think we had the large pizza with bacon, ham and pineapple on it. I remember it being really good. Thin style crust, plenty of cheese and the right amount of toppings. Sometimes too many toppings on pizza can be a bad thing in my opinion. Its like too many cops at a scene of a crime. Its just not cool. The potato skins needed some work. Not that they weren't tasty, there just weren't enough of them. It was one regular sized potato quartered with some sour cream, cheese, green onions and bacon on it. For the $4 price tag one more potato shouldn't be too much to ask for. Service was good once we got noticed. We came in late(11:30pm) and just sat ourselves at an empty booth. Pretty solid beer selection and competitive prices for similar old port establishments. I like that they serve food until around 12:30am each night. Good place to catch a meal before a 3:30am dent. Solid

Decent pizza, but they have Fox News on the TV, which completely ruined the experience.

I was hoping that Pat's would be my regular hangout; the food is good, beer is cold, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Unfortunately I had a bad experience last week with a member of the staff which I probably could have gotten over. The real problem is I sent an email explaining the issue and they never responded. In a city like Portland with so many dining options customer service needs to be 100% all the time. They have lost my business I'm sad to say.

Pizza!!!!! We sat at the bar, plenty of beer choices and quick service on the pizza. We ordered a large pepperoni to share. It's thin crust pizza, and cooked perfectly.

It's simple, fairly priced, decent service, nice atmosphere, great sauce and unique pizza style- what more could you ask for

Having gone to UMaine up in Orono and a diehard original Pat's Pizza regular up there, I have to say the Old Port Pat's is very good in comparison. The service is friendly and pretty quick for the most part, and they have some great beer specials, especially when the Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots are on TV. If you're not in the mood for pizza, they also make a great Italian sandwich. They have plenty of seating for large groups upstairs, and a great bar atmosphere downstairs.

If you are looking to host an event in Portland, do it here! Nick, the manager is absolutely amazing. My husband and I held our wedding reception here in June, and it was absolutely perfect. Nick was so patient during the months leading up to the event when I would email him several times a week with ideas and questions. He always had great suggestions and wanted to make sure our night was perfect. They have great buffet options and will work with you and other vendors to make sure everything goes smoothly. All of our guests said it was one of the best weddings ever!

Pat's, what happened? You're normally our go-to pizza and beer place in the Old Port, but your service and food was almost comically awful today. Two-plus hours of flat beer, inattentive service, and botched food orders was all we could take. Thank you for apologizing and accepting our offer to pay only for drinks. I'm afraid we won't be coming back, though. I'm guessing we're not the only customers you lost this afternoon.

The food was really good here. I had some chili because that is what I was in the mood for. I was not disappointed. The chili was very hearty and filling. A bit greasy, but I scooped most of that out.

I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as bad pizza. I will eat reheated gas station pizza and like it. However! Not all pizza is created equal, and everybody has their opinions. Pat's pizza has the unique honor of being the most over-rated pizza I've ever had. It's bland, greasy, thin (in a bad way), and there's nothing particularly interesting or redeeming about it. Have I had worse? Yes, for sure, but I've never had worse that's more highly-acclaimed.

A local told me to try this place so we did. Heck we had to because we had been out all day snowmobiling and the place was right outside the Regency Hotel where we were staying. I have to admit, the inside made for a good pub but the pizza we soon discovered was something were had not experienced before. I truly think you have to of grown up on their pizza because, although it was round like a pizza, it was not at all what I would call pizza. Heck, maybe we just ordered the wrong pie, a margarita and you can't get that in Maine! Anyway we were expecting a thin crust pizza with cheese, sauce, olive oil, and fresh basil. But what we received was like a frozen crust pizza that had little or no sauce, cheese that was like microwaved so much the oil from the cheese had disintegrated and the other ingredients we could not make out what they were. Honestly, when the wait person brought the pizza I asked, 'is this a margarita pizza?' and she replied, 'yes it is. A lot of people ask me that.' Like, duh...maybe what you are serving is not really a pizza at all. To improve the taste and dryness I ordered a side of marinara sauce to soften up the topping (I think it was sun dried tomatoes that were still dry) and we managed to eat a couple of slices each (heck we were starving and it was cold as heck outside). I remember the wait person came by after our meal and asked if she should box it up and I said 'no, we don't have any place to store it'. Anyway, the beer selection was good so we had a nice local pint (or two) along with a salad. We split a large salad (which was plenty) but I wish places would use something beside iceberg lettuce...it was flavorless. My suggestion is you visit this place if you want to have a few beers and catch a game on TV but do yourself a favor and don't order a pizza. I promise you you will be disappointed.

I LOVE Pat's Pizza! I had been in the Auburn one only a handful of times but always found it to my liking. When I moved to Portland and learned of a Pat's here, I was excited. The pizza is amazing. It is similar to but better than the Auburn Pat's. I have the number in my cell phone, and am there about twice a month for take-out. I recently found out that they started delivering, which means we'll probably get it even more often! The people that work there are nice, the price is great, the food is excellent (my favorite is ham and pineapple pizza). A definite go-to well above and beyond Dominoes, etc.

Great place to eat in the old port for cheap. Good food and drinks, pretty good beer selection on tap. Friendly quick service. 7 TV's in the bar area.

The pizza is very much like the original in Orono, but that is where the comparison ends. Pat's in the old port is a cozy and nice place, although the staff seems to be a bit cool on the personality side. The food was hot and delicious, the beer was cold and the price was right! You could do much worse!

The upstairs room is perfect for events. I have attended a birthday party and held my rehearsal dinner there and loved it both times. Their prices are more than reasonable, service great, and food delicious!
