Not the best Denny's we've been too but does the job. We had a fairly short wait time before being seating. They need to state which line is for incoming customers and which is for paying. The food arrived about 40mins after we ordered. Super late. We even ordered appetizers but it came the same time as our meal hello! Seriously. At least our drinks were always filled.

As the title says... only good if you're drunk and it's the only place open nearby. Greasy eggs and bacon are always welcome when I'm drunk

Denny's serves two purposes really well, in my opinion. Either you're eating there to cure a hangover or you're eating there because you're drunk and, in both instances, Denny's is precisely what the Dr. McGillicuddy's ordered. That's not to say that everyone in the restaurant is in some state of inebriation because, in every Denny's the world over, there are plenty of perfectly nice, sober people just there for their weekly country fried steak dinner. It's just that, once I was old enough to stop using Denny's as an inexpensive place to hang out with my friends and talk about D&D, I was using Denny's Grand Slam breakfast as a salve on my ailing liver.

You can't go wrong with a late night breakfast or an early cheesburger. The food is always good. It is never the best food I have ever eaten, but never bad. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes the waitstaff is entertainging and pleasant and other times there isn't even a smile. The patronage is part of the experience from the "formal" family night out with reminders to the kids not to slurp the soup because "we are at a nice restaurant". There's always then drunken crowds, no matter the hour of day. I love the moons over my hammy, with the maple spread and potatoe bread. The omlettes are good. The super bird with turkey and tomatoe is always a win. The burgers and fries really hit the spot reserved for salty greasy hangover food.

Typical American diner food with very good prices for quality and quantity of food. Great breakfast after getting back from Patriots game at 4:30 AM!

I absolutely just adore Denny's, and this was no exception. I'm sure for those who live in the US, it's just "Denny's" but for those of us who love their food and are from out of country its fabulous. Since the Denny's in Canada is horrific. Our waitress listed off every variant of what we could have, and made sure we were taken care of. The Invisible Woman Slam was amazing and delicious.

I'm not really understanding some of the reviews from my fellow Yelpers. You should have no disillusion when you go here...it is a Denny's after all. Breakfast is a meal that I seldom have time to enjoy. When I do have time, and am in no mood to fight hipsters for a table at a blue and white place downtown, I head to Denny's. I like to get the biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns ($2) with a side of bacon ($2 or $3) and the unlimited refill caramel iced coffee ($2 and change). My meal is served hot and promptly to me by one of the many friendly and courteous waiters/waitresses. I have never had a bad meal at this Denny's and my day has always started off a lot nicer because of it.

Typical diner, considering that. This location is the absolute best Denny's in the area! Staff is generally awesome and food is by far the best around as Denny's goes.

This wasn't the worst Dennys I've been to but it was far from the best the service was good but the was tasteless the lemonade was super acidic and sweet and for its price your way better off eating at 1 of the numerous Portland restaurants nearby that offer much better food.

I've been to this particular Denny's a few times now but won't be back. The food was mediocre (and my expectations are pretty low to begin with for a chain diner, I just wanted breakfast at midnight.) To start with, slow doesn't even begin to cover the service. I was promptly seated, then it was nearly 20 minutes before I saw the waitress. I was a couple minutes from walking out of a quarter-full restaurant when she finally made it over. Another customer had apparently been seated for over an hour only to find out his waiter went on break - but didn't tell anybody. It gets worse. I have never seen a restaurant mess up scrambled eggs with cheese before. I mean, how do you even do that? It's as though Denny's was trying to make the experience as bad as possible. My eggs were scrambled alright, but the giant clots of orange cheese in too great a quantity to be consumed made them inedible. My pancakes were only half cooked as well. It should've maybe raised a flag with the kitchen staff or the waitress that the butter was not melting on them that the pancakes were also cold. I would've complained and gotten it fixed, but the food took so long to come out of the kitchen the first time I was convinced that I'd see the breakfast rush in the morning firsthand if I did. The waitress did eventually stop by, long enough to grab an empty plate and walk away. I guess the empty glasses on the table edge was too subtle a hint that more drinks were needed. This isn't even the part that infuriates me. When it came time to get the bill the waitress couldn't move faster if she'd wanted to to put it on the table. If she had put half the effort into service as she did trying to get us to pay I'd just be disgusted with the food, instead of the overall experience. I asked for a couple of take-home containers for the rest of my party. She eventually came back with just one. We were so frustrated with the whole thing at this point we said to hell with it and just put everything that was edible together. Then it was time to pay. This is where I determined once and for all would not be back. I had the bill and was going to pay the whole thing, no split checks, no BS, easy, right? Not at Denny's! When our waitress saw the credit card sitting on the bill at the edge of the table, she informed us she needs us to fill it out and then bring it up front. A little unusual from what I'm used to, but ok. So I got in LINE AT THE FRONT TO PAY. I got the privilege of waiting an additional 25 minutes to leave. Everybody in line got to watch and wait as: People were seated, customers who had been forgotten about complained to servers who informed them that they were "sorry, but that's how it is," and marvel how long it took to swipe a credit card or make change. Bottom line: For the time you'll spend at this Denny's waiting to be served you could've bought all the ingredients, made it yourself at home, eaten it, cleaned up the mess, and likely even have done the dishes. If you took the extra time to ignore your empty glass and let your food sit on the counter a little while extra to cool down, you'd have the complete experience right there in the comfort of your own home.

Our server was so polite! I can't believe I received some of the best service at denny's- not that it's a bad thing, l was just caught by suprise. She came back twice before we ate, shortly after we got our meals, and when we were almost finished. Our drinks never fell below half, our food was hot and tasty, and because of the extra effort put in by our waitress- Denny's is now my sons favorite place to eat. I also actually witnessed teamwork. Suprised, pleased, and returning. Our waitress, Donna, should give lessons to waitstaff nationwide.
