We stopped here on the way to a wedding for lunch and it was delicious! We both got the lobster roll which comes in a grilled hot dog roll. The fries are a MUST! And like another reviewer said you will eat them all! We decided to split the fries (to leave room for the food at the reception) and got cole slaw which was also my very good! The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because my husband wished it was larger. It was perfect for me though! Staff was very helpful with meal suggestions and very friendly! Clean cute and delicious diner!

I stopped here several days ago for the first time with my brother and a friend. We were going hiking that day and decided to have breakfast before we started out. First I will touch on the service....one word...excellent, the waitress was super friendly and had a wonderful personality. I had three eggs over easy with wheat toast, bacon, sausage and home fries. All this for $5.50. I thought it was a misprint...just kidding but I was surprised, that much food easily would be $10.00 or more anywhere I live. I also had a cup of their sausage gravy. The food couldn't have been better, it had great flavor and cooked perfectly. Definitely old fashioned REAL food, not frozen crap that other diners serve. We decided to stop in again the next day for lunch on our way home since we were so enamored with our first visit. Again we were greeted with a friendly smile and attentive service. My brother and I had the fish and chips with cole slaw and my friend had a hamburger. I honestly expected the fish to be frozen since it's just easier for places to make but again I was pleasantly surprised with what appeared to be hand battered white flaky fish that was cooked perfectly, even the coleslaw was excellent and I find that coleslaw is usually a hit or miss anywhere...and usually a miss. This coleslaw had a crisp fresh bite with just the right amount of dressing. The fries were...I know I sound like a broken record but I have to say it....REAL, hand cut fries. My friend said his burger was cooked perfectly and one of the best he has ever had. He took home one of their home made whoopie pies that was as big as my head...it looked awesome along with all of their home made pies and baked goods. I could go on forever. Let me end this by saying if you find yourself near this place, do yourself a favor and eat there and even if your not anywhere near it...it's worth a road trip.

There are diners and there are diners. This one stands out at the top of the heap. Great food, friendly and efficient staff, reasonable prices, and warm, pleasant atmosphere. I enjoy breakfasting here every time I come to the area to visit family. I've never walked away from a meal here feeling less than satisfied.

We ate here two times while on vacation last week. This is a nice and affordable restaurant with a fifties Coca Cola theme. We ordered a BLT, French fries, fish chowder and other items. The French fries are amazing. Fries are home made Maine potatoes and are so good you end up eating them all. The BLT was very good as was everything we ate. The fish chowder was totally homemade and was great. Waitresses were local women who were very friendly and welcoming. Owner came out to see how we liked our meals. She seems to do most of the food preparation as well. This is a nice little restaurant with plenty of seating and parking and very affordable food. We will definitely be returning.

The food here is homemade & really good when it isn't overcooked or burnt. Any time I dine in they don't burn the food, but when I get take-out they always seem to burn the homefries & hash. I ordered real maple syrup with my breakfast yesterday (& paid extra for it) & they gave me the fake stuff. My wife ordered eggs over medium & they weren't cooked to that specification. Anytime take-out is ordered from thid restaurant it is suggested you check your order before you leave.

This place is awesome!! The food is homemade, the service is exceptional. It's a diner but so much more! We came to visit on a Friday morning, had a wonderful waitress who was attentive to us and our 9 month old (I wish I remembered her name I would give her kudos). We both ordered eggs with the homemade toast (to die for) and we split an order of the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS. IT is a cinnamon roll sliced and then dipped in egg and cooked like french toast. It was amazing. Spend the extra $$ and get the real maple syrup! We can't wait to go back again.

We travel up from Boston a lot, and have now made this great place a must-eat-at destination on the way up to Bethel. The food is fresh, homemade, and cheap, and the service could not be better. Everything we try is just fabulous. I think they are only open for breakfast and lunch, but make sure you stop here!

There really isn't much that can beat a small, family - owned breakfast/lunch diner on a nice Saturday morning. Maine has several little known secret spots to go for breakfast and this is one of them. I had the southwest omelet which had onions, peppers, sausage and cheddar cheese, served with salsa, sour cream and home fries. Usually it comes with toast, but my GF tummy opted out. It was pretty tasty and the home fries that came with it were delish. It was quiet when we first got there but it filled up very quickly, which is pretty normal for Daddy O's. So, get there early! Expect big muffins, bigger whoopie pies, inexpensive prices and good down home cooking. The wait staff is very nice and usually running like crazy because it's a busy place!

Daddy No's We had read a few good reviews and decided to try Daddy O's on a recent Sunday morning. Location and parking was easy. We were seated promptly and waited on for our drinks and our breakfast order. We received our drinks and that is it. That is where this story ends. After a half an hour - I start to wonder if we have been forgotten, or if our order was lost? Keep in mind - this is a party of two who ordered eggs and pancakes. Not a large group and not anything out of the ordinary for a place that claims they "serve breakfast all day." They may MAKE the breakfast - but they certainly don't SERVE the breakfast. After an HOUR of waiting (once again eggs and pancakes for two - no exaggeration) we walked to the cash register - paid for our drinks - and left. Once again, this is a missed opportunity for customer service. You could comp the meals (if they are arriving anytime soon) or they could have apologized and said "don't worry about the drinks." Regardless, no attempt was made to salvage us as customers. Therefore, we will never again step foot on the premises. Too many other choices for eggs and pancakes. Hence, the new name we have coined: Daddy No's.

Came to this restaurant with the highest of hopes because of the awesome reviews! No. Walked in the door, very cute! Great family atmosphere! Sign says wait to be seated. 6 staff walked by us before someone (who walked by us twice) came to seat us. Once seated waitress was fast to bring drinks and take our order! 40 minutes later we got our eggs bacon and toast (no exaggeration toast scrambled eggs and bacon is all we ordered!) the inside of my eggs were raw and runny. I ate most of the other food left over half the eggs and very dry toast and told the waitress. They did take $3 off our bill but it was just very disappointing. Won't be going back here.

Love the vibe. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The prices were unbelievably low, and the food was out of this world! I tried a bite of my daughter's kids-meal burger, and it was better than most adult-menu burgers I've had. We couldn't resist buying a few of their whimsical, dinner-plate sized whoopie pies on our way out!
