Auberge by the Sea

This B&B is a treat. If you want to indulge yourself and/or someone special this is the place to be. Probably the most cosy and personal B&B you'll be able to find at the beach. The service is fantastic and it is right by the beach. I also really appreciated the fact that they have beach chairs and kids toys to play at the beach. Every little detail is taken care by the hostess and she is awful friendly.

Seriously! This place is absolutely amazing! My Boyfriend and I went in this 4th of July weekend and ordered two panini's. I had a chicken fajita and he had an Italian. They were fantastic. We walked in after buying two marshmellow guns and were running around having the time of our lives shooting each other all over OOB. The guys who work behind the counter are awesome! They are so much fun! You just don't find that very much anymore at restaurants! I had no idea that this place existed and being a seasonal renter for 6 months out of the year at OOB..this is our definite new place to go. They have tons of Gelato and the most amazing desserts. We had one chocolate chip cookie and it was so yummy! I can't wait to go back next week! Just for the service alone they deserve more than 5 stars!
Came here for dinner since every other place around here has fried food. We figured that this place would be the best spot since they have a sandwich station. The place was empty so we walked out because we assumed that it was no good. After reading the Yelp reviews we ran back in immediately to see the hype. We ordered the Smoked Turkey panini and the bbq chicken panini. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT was most deff worth the turnaround.
Better late than never. Went here over the summer and loved it. They have good real food if you're looking for something NOT FRIED. Yummy salad, backed haddock and rice, loads of desserts to pick from. Small tables but perfect to sit and eat a meal inside. Nothing fancy but I really liked it and will be back. People are friendly and service is fast and the place is clean.

The kind team over at Sheila's recommended we stop at JJ's for dinner; and it was one of the best pieces of advice yet. The restaurant isn't fancy, but the staff is extremely accommodating (a member of our party has a shellfish allergy); they had color books and an extensive kid's menu for the little one in our group- and selections on the menu everyone was happy with. The food was delicious and obviously homemade, and the service was great. JJ's is a real hidden gem in OOB, and worth the trip!
Perfect for lunch. Took family there for 1145 on a Friday...2,5,& 8 years old, right by the train tracks. Amusement in itself. Staff was fantastic and food was great. Strongly recommend.
After a long day at the beach and amusement park we were looking for a spot within walking distance to sit down and enjoy dinner. Great service, food and entertainment.

Came up to OOB for vacation and had to check this place out. Soo glad I did! I got the land and sea burger and deep fried brownie nugs :) they were both amazing. The owners were super nice and the inside had such awesome decor. I'll definitely have to come back before vacation is over!
Wow! Mixing all sorts off food for a taste explosion unlike any other. Kind staff willing to discuss the unique menu
A couple of my friends told me about this place and I was skeptical, but it lived up to their recommendation! My fiancée and I split the double dragon, the haddock sandwich with the spicy mayo, and the Mother Futcher's shake. I must say, the fish sandwich was my favorite, but the double D was extremely tasty as well. The shake is a meal of its own, but delicious, as is the coffee cake! There are a decent amount of food options in OOB, but this is near or at the top of the list. It is what it is, so don't expect a fine dining atmosphere. It's a food shack at the beach, what more could you ask for? If your tastebuds are looking to expand its reaches beyond fried dough and bland pizza, this is the place to go!

Been in business for 80 years. What hey are good. Go out of your way good? No, I've had better. Unless your only coming from OP then going out of you way isn't too far.
Wow, these are totally worth the drive! It doesn't hurt that Old Orchard beach is gorgeous (although that asshole of an ocean DID eat my Betsey Johnson sunglasses). Pier fries are thick, crunchy, waffle cut fries. Drench 'em in vinegar, eat them in 2 seconds and then return for more. YUM!
Pier French Fries is the reason I will be a fat bride. We moved here two months ago and we have had their delicious poutine at least 6 times. I leave the house to ride my bike, walk the dog, or take a jog, and still I end up, whatever the weather, at Pier French Fries. I shovel those hot delicious crinkle cuts covered in gravy and curd into my mouth with reckless abandon. The best way to enjoy them (is without shame of course) and on the porch with some delicious beer.

I love this place! I am in OOB for 9 or 10 straight weeks every summer. It's hard to go to the pier without stopping by for a slice of something different. I have tried it all: Pear and blue cheese, buffalo chicken, white with garlic and spinach... If you are looking for you average everyday slice go ahead and stay down by the beach, but if you are looking for something more satisfying or would like to try something new on your pizza it's worth the few extra steps up the hill to Roma Pizza. 2 years ago I waited the whole summer to try the Nutella pizza which I enjoyed with a couple of girl friends for our combined birthday. It was amazing! He even made it in the shape of a heart in honor of our bdays. The shop is tiny with very limited seating. It is clean, but the pizza oven keeps it hot. There is a table or 2 out front where you can do some people watching and hopefully catch a breeze. The price is right, no more expensive than any other pizza place on the street. You better believe I'll be back in the summer.
Excellent! We were pleasantly surprised by the variety, freshness and good prices. We plan to bring our friends back here tomorrow!
We came in with three adults and four kids at 9:30 pm and got amazing food and service. It was great New York style pizza and it was brought out very quickly! We had cheese pizza and some salads. The only improvement I could see would be to make some homemade salad dressings.

Delicious food! Great service! Highly recommend! I ate the Chicken Thai basil and veggie egg rolls! I love this place and will make sure to stop in anytime my wife and I are in the area! (it's a two hour drive for us and worth it!)
With nearly the sidewalks rolled up for the season, we had a tough time finding anything besides pizza. We saw the decent reviews on yelp for this place and decided to try it. At first, we were worried as there was one car parked out front but it was a weekday. We were pleasantly surprised and the food was good.
Yes..very authentic..feels like bangkok.hands down for bua thai..excellent food and good service.pha naeng curry chicken, kai pad kaprow and chicken wings are delicious. The drunken noodle is a bit sweet..overall it's still good.

Rocco's has the best pizza in Oob. The pizza is fresh and always being made. No pizza sitting around here. The owner is great too. I've been coming here for over 10 years. Great quality.
Pizza post race recovery, we got the margarita with fresh tomato and a pizza with sausage, black olives and mushroom. Good choice. 2 large were enough for 6 of my friends. Would go back.
We have been coming to OOB every summer for years and this is always one of our first stops. Rocco's has THE BEST pizza in the area! Perfect spot on the corner in the middle of the circle by the Pier. Easy to get to and quick pick up!

Love this little place! I love finding restaurants that are not in the repertoire of the local foodies. This is a great place. Really busy, and the worst thing about it is its loud - Lots of OOBers with lots of kids. But, if you get the pleasure of showing up on a non crowded night, enjoy the dining experience ahead. Chef-owned, and the chef really cares about his dishes. The menu is not pretentious - just well crafted. Delicious and creative meals with every day products. You can actually identify the foods on the menu! Amazing Sangria, house made. If it wasn't such a struggle to get a table here, I would go weekly. Its a really good dinner.
Not really sure what the high ratings are about, but this completely missed expectations, given the high remarks and price. Arrived at our reservation time and was not acknowledged as we stood around for about 5 minutes- the hostess was a bit frazzled. Guess the Rev3 Tri had them busier than normal. I ordered the linguini with shrimp (from the early eve. menu) and added a soup of the day for $4. Linguini was very small, bland, with 3 decent sized shrimp on top. Wife ordered the stuff baked lobster, and it was really just breadcrumbs sprinkled on top (or should i say, the belly) of a smallish lobster. Potato leek soup was good though. Service was severely lacking. Asked for water a few times, never got it. Server came over maybe once. Asked for the check, waited another 10 minutes. What is with these "casual fine dining places"? The experience was similar to the one we had at Joseph's by the Sea last year. Seemed to be a bit full of themselves, meanwhile, the food is not that good. When the check finally arrived, i noticed he charged me full price for the soup ($8.95), instead of the $4 add on price. I mentioned it to him, and a few minutes later he came back and said it was chowder, not the soup of the day. I told him that YOUR menu said "soup of the day". he again repeated it was the chowder, and i AGAIN repeated thats not what your menu said. after that little back and forth, he decided to go check the menu, and low and behold- i'm right (go figure). He comes back with the corrected check and apologized (thankfully), and mentions he was off last week, and they must've changed it then (uh-huh...). Anyway, avoid this place. Pricey, stuffy and food not that good. You're better off getting something from one of the stands near the beach, cheaper and more delicious.
They have an excellent Atlantic Halibut in a cream sauce! The lobster's were quite disappointing in size and flavor. Excellent service, waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and was interactive with guest's. Food was definitely three stars, but service was four or five stars!

We have been here several times for pizza when staying in OOB to camp. It is a short walk from the Old Orchard Beach campground. The pizza they serve is outstanding. I have had the Buffalo chicken pizza several times and it is the best I have ever had. My girlfriend eats the vegetarian pizza and also thinks it is the best she has had. It is a small restaurant with not a lot of seats but they do there best to accommodate you. If your group is larger than 6 you will probably sit at separate tables but they will be very close together.
I'm a Chicago girl so I have very strong opinions on pizza...and you might be surprised that I prefer thin crust over deep dish but I'm talking Chicago thin crust, cut into squares with crispy edges....mmmm. Anyway, my point is, I really love pizza but I have a hard time finding pizza that lives up to my standards and Ocean Pizza hits a home run each time. It's not Chicago style thin crust (but I forgive them). It is just consistently really delicious pizza. They are slow on Friday and Saturday, expect 45 minutes for pick up. But their prices are fantastic. $20 (including tip) for a large extra cheese and pepperoni and mozzarella sticks. In the future, we'll skip the sticks and just stick to the pizza. I have had their Greek salad and it was delicious for a pizza joint. I really hope they aren't seasonal because it would be tough to lose such good pizza so close to home half the year.
Good pizza but...sat down 7:05pn. Order taken 7:15. Food arrived 8:05. Yes, at table one hour before pizzas arrived, one of which was not sliced. Another 15 minutes after finished waiting for check. One person for bar plus dining room, slow kitchen. Crossing this off list. Why one star? As I said, good pizza.
