You cannot go here and not get the Pei Mussels! Make sure to get extra bread as you will want to soak up every drop! All the food is excellent and is a very cozy dinner space for you and your partner.

Excellent food. We started with the French onion soup and the scallops wrapped in bacon. Both had amazing flavor and were perfect cooked. I had the salmon over creamy risotto and a saltambucca fennel sauce. My better half had shrimp scampi. It was all super tasty and an overall great experience. I wish the service was a bit slower. The entrees came out right after the appetizers. Would have been nice to be able to languish over the experience a bit more. However, I am just getting nit picky, if it was too long I would complain the other way.

This is easily one of the better restaurants in Ogunquit, despite not specializing in lobster. My 8-year-old was happy to order a breaded chicken breast over buttered pasta. The 3 adults, however, had appetizers & entrees and couldn't finish anything. While prices are a bit high ($22+), the portions were enormous. We easily could have done with just appetizers, for less than half the cost. The mussels were the BEST & are a large enough portion for an entree. The sauce is leeks & smoked bacon & delicious. For $12, it's a bargain. The clam chowder is rich & perfectly suited to the chillier nights. We also tried the escargot, which were buttery & redolent of garlic. Our entrees were the chili-brown sugar tuna (served rare), the crab-stuffed haddock, and the shrimp scampi. All were terrific, but far more food than we could manage. We all have ample lunches for tomorrow.

After reading the comments on Yelp about this restaurant, my bf and I decided to go for a nice dinner. We knew it was kinda pricey. The restaurant is good, nothing impressive or elegant as I thought, but at least nice. We ordered the spicy calamari with siracha sauce, to be honest the dish was small for two. Then I had the salmon, with corn and risotto. Well, the salmon was delicious and the corn as well but the risotto... That was not risotto at all. Overcooked wite rice, it seemed more a rice purée than risotto. Really, the texture of the rice is very important and this ruined the whole dish. When you go to a pricey restaurant, you expect perfection in all sense... That's the reason of my 3 stars

What a fantastic place here in Ogunquit. I am not a big one on ranking places 1, 2 or 3 or proclaim them to be THE BEST in town or nothing else can come closer and euphemisms as such. That Place is definitely a fine dining experience that stands out and shines bright like a diamond (yes, I quote Rihanna!) when the conversation comes about great eats north of and not too far from Boston, MA. And having experienced quite a few of the best of beantown restaurants, I would go to the extent of saying, this place called That Place is simply in a league of it's very own. The ambiance is what catches your attention right away. Very demure and sophisticated, it is perfect for big groups or an intimate, romantic dinner alike. There is a bar right next to the entrance on the right section of the restaurant which seems to get quite popular as the hours go by. You can hear the cheering and all. The other half of the restaurant is much more quieter and as I said, more for couples and intimate group setting. The food was really good. We ordered a bunch of apps before our main courses. Calamari, Nachos, Cocktail Shrimp, and more. Even the house bread and sweet butter - oh yum. You could tell their focus is on quality while maintaining the quantity. For my main course, I got the special of the day which was a Boned in Filet Mignon, lobster meat, corn and garlic mash. Everything was good. The steak was cooked medium rare as I like it and not chewy. The lobster meat was fresh - dipped in not too much butter. The veggies were lightly seasoned. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. We did call ahead to make reservations which was a good thing to do because the place was packed. Overall, I couldn't find anything that I would have hoped could be improved or had been better. That Place is just the place you should be at for a good meal and a great ambiance.

Came here for a "last-night-in-town" dinner looking for something unique and special. We were not disappointed! That Place easily accommodated our party of 6 on a busy weekend night in August. The best part though was the food! The lobster was simple and lovely. PEI mussels in bacon & leek broth with feta cheese crumbles was GENIUS! The flavors were so unexpected but felt like mussels should always be cooked that way. Even the fish and chips were cooked perfectly and carefully with homemade fries. Also recommend the seafood bake which just melts in your mouth! The waitress and staff were very attentive. Overall, I can't say enough. We'll definitely be back!!

This was a nice restaurant with very good service. The beet salad was fresh and sweet. The tuna tartare was delicious. The salmon dish was good except neither my husband nor I liked the glaze on top of it. I find that most American restaurants who try to make Asian inspired dishes make their glaze too thick, and this was no exception. My husband did rave about the risotto side as well as the corn side.

Tried this restaurant for the first time (thanks to Yelp) earlier in December when I was in Ogunquit for Christmas by the Sea. It is definitely now a favorite restaurant of mine in the area! We had a girls weekend and we started off the dinner with some great martini specials. They had an eggnog martini, and I got one of their signatures that was something fruity and very tasty. We put a reservation in but we got there much earlier and they still sat us right away. The servers were attentive and quick the entire night. For my meal I got the french onion soup to start, and my sister and I split the fried chicken with honey. O M G it was so droolworthy. I can still taste it and can't wait to get back to get it again! The french onion soup was also great, but the potatoes and chicken were just out of this world. Everybody was very, very happy with their meals. The bread we got before dinner was super fresh and we weren't waiting for water refills for a minute. It's a great little place, so be sure to visit! Also, free valet parking makes it so easy on that tricky road to park.

Wonderful!!! The food, the atmosphere, the cocktails, the staff....all were wonderful! If you are looking for a place to have a special dinner, look no more...this is the place. We sat outside and enjoyed the best Clam Chowder we have had in this area. We then continued on with filet mignon, salmon, ahi tuna, and lazy man's lobster. It is a bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny.

The welcoming service was great. We came in late on Mother's day (night). So happy this place doesn't roll up early. Drinks were good. Apps were jumbo shrimp, fresh with a snap; fried calamari so good with a spicy sauce; pork belly, and bacon wrapped scallops were cooked to perfection. Filet mignon served with mashed potatoes and winter squash, all delish. Turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich was a mouthful of yum. The seafood in the spicy red sauce was fabulous. Everyone happy. It was both comfortable and fine dining. See you next time.

Always a great meal and Ricky is the best!!! How he remembers what people like to eat and drink while playing 3 games of cards and serving is beyond me but he does it and he does it well. If you are looking for GREAT food and service don't miss out on this place. Thanks Ricky!!

Whenever people ask for a casual but excellent recommendation for the area, That Place is my go to. Odd name aside, the food is great. I have never had a bad dish here and the variety of dining experiences is great. The menu doesn't often change up seasonally which is the one downside. There is outdoor seating, a bar area and a dining area depending on the mood you are in. Bar area can be fun with hightops and an energetic local crowd. Definitely worth a trip for a sit down meal.

Went on a crowded and busy Friday night with no reservation and only had to wait 15 minutes! Super great service and simply amazing food. Ordered the Shrimp Scampi and a Pomegranate Mojito-both to die for! Very friendly staff and warm & welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor patio is caressed with the sound of a small water fountain and tiny candles. Reasonably priced dishes-totally worth it by the end of the meal. Highly recommend!

Travel a lot! Best dinner restaurant in Ogunquit!! Our server Rachel was excellent. Friendly, helpful, made our dinner experience the best. And the peanut butter pie is the best desert experience I've ever had!!

Just amazing. First time at That Place and I will return. Had the filet and lobster, burger, fried chicken, and salmon along with onion soup, chowder, and the best bread. Great cocktails and top notch service. Valet parking is a huge plus as the area is busy. Everyone talked about the meal for days. Well done!!!

Spent Mother's Day weekend in Ogunquit with family and decided to try That Place based on the overwhelmingly positive Yelp reviews. I'm so glad we did! We had a party of 7 plus a baby and everyone left happy and full. I had the French onion soup, maple bacon wrapped scallops and the delmonico steak for my entrée. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. With the exception of my green beans that were overcooked but still tasted great so I gobbled them up. Service was good. As expected they were busy, it took some time for our entrées to be served and we had to ask our waitress twice for more water. This is a minor critique not a complaint. We understood the delay and we're happy to spend time together. Dinner was a bit on the pricy side but we'll worth the money. We will be going here again!

Visited Ogunquit for my wife's and my honeymoon. We wanted to dine at a place with really good reviews. After suggestions from locals, our hotel, and Yelpers, we knew that we had to try this place. Service was good. When we came in to reserve a table later that day. However, we had overestimated the amount of time we wanted to spend in Perkins Cove and decided to try to get in early -- they had no problem with that at all. After being seated the hosts came to our table to congratulate us on our marriage and our waiter took our picture for honeymoon memories. The food came out quickly and wait staff kept a good eye on us despite a hard table to watch. Like I had said, the service was good. The only downer in the staffing was that the bus boy was a little cranky, but I would be too if I was one. This review is mainly for my meal. I had ordered the Delmonico steak. I ordered it medium (usually pink top to bottom). However, they had over cooked it. It was only slightly pink and only in the middle with a grey shell. I didn't want to be a steak-snob so I didn't ask for a new one. I also thought that maybe it was cooked to my liking in the thicker parts of the steak (unfortunately it wasn't). Despite the steak being over cooked, it was still very juicy and tasty. The corn was straight from the cob and was really good. Also, the side of mash potatoes was excellent. Though, after shelling out $36 for my meal alone, it only gets 3 stars. Maybe it was just an off night, but it wasn't as good as I had anticipated. My wife's meal was way better. She had the baked stuffed haddock. I wish I had ordered that! If I had eaten that dish,That Place would be rated 5 stars. In sum: don't get the steak or make sure they cook it to your liking. The safe alternative is to order the baked stuffed haddock.

The food was good. We ordered the tuna martini and the escargot for apps. The lazy man lobster was delicious but lacked that fresh, sweet flavor. The Portuguese cioppino was flavorful but didn't come with linguini or pasta to soak up the sauce. (Cioppino is Italian not Portuguese but it was good so I won't get into a squabble. Adding fennel doesn't make it Portuguese. At least that's how it was described by the waitress). Ended up eating more bread to soak it up. Same carbs but if a pasta was involved it would have been better. Just my opinion. It would have received 4 stars but the wait time for cocktails, ordering, apps & dinner spanned over 2.5 hours. Nothing malicious just poor kitchen staffing I'm sure. Waitress was nice and we didn't bother complaining about timing but folks should be aware there's a timing issue that should get worked out when the kitchen is slammed.

The perfect place to enjoy a 5-star meal in a relaxed, homey environment. The tuna tartare martini, the pork belly with mango slaw, and the escargot are fantastic appetizers. The pork chop and the stuffed shrimp scampi are great entrees. Save room for the creme brûlée or the chocolate cake for dessert. The selection of wines and cocktails is abundant. This is a great place to have an intimate romantic dinner or a meal with good friends. We will DEFINITELY return to this gem.

This place is outstanding, make reservations if its peak hours, but if you have to wait 45 minutes it is completely worth it. We had the PEI mussles, probably the best I've ever had. I ordered the cioppino Portuguese fisherman stew....so good healthy portion, great seasoning and a nice spicy kick. We did not stay for desert. Service was great, atmosphere was a touch loud, but it was a happy crowd.

Went here for a drink with a party of six after dinner.. Only reason I didn't come here for dinner was because I thought they were closed on Wednesdays.. Sat down at the bar and immediately met Rick the owner who was behind the bar.. Couldn't have been friendlier and more personable.. Played Cribbage with our friends.. Would tell anyone I know to go here..

One of the best places I've eaten in Ogunquit. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was amazing. I was surprised at how large the portion sizes were as well. Typically at finer dining establishments the portions are small and the food is overpriced. Everything here is priced well and well worth it. Would highly recommend.

Undercooking rice noodles? Under sauced / seasoned tuna. A1 steak sauce or their rendition thereof with a filet... Sucked. Second time there, a year ago was much better.

This is a surprisingly good restaurant! I knew it was a fun "place" Rick the owner is a delightful Maine treasure -very Hollywood dickens charming- and there is an eclectic mix of locals & high brow tourists yucking it up in the quaint environment- but - order from the menu! Which Rick has put a great many years of thought into he proudly declares! And many of your classic melt in your mouth faves are there like bacon wrap scallops, escargot, & French onion soup with Maine baby Swiss & Caesar salad with steak tips for you guys, shrimp scampy - all the best classics that are getting hard to find- and there great new Skool menu items too! I highly as a long season summer person in Ogunquit - I highly recommend "that place" for dinner or evening fun! They are good people & good food! Oh- and Nate at the bar is a sweetie too: )

Everything was excellent from start to finish! We didn't make reservations and the hostess (owner's sister) sat our party of six in just a couple minutes. The decor is inviting and the bartender (owner) makes excellent drinks. We all ordered apps (scallops, French onion, calamari, Caesar salads) and steaks. The medium well filet mignon was cooked to perfection and not butterflied. Delicious sides of mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Get dessert. Preferably raspberry cheesecake. You won't regret it. Could not ask for better food or service. My friends and I dine out very frequently and this place was hands down the best steak and service I've ever had. EVER. Family owned and operated makes it even better.

Solid spot. It's a good in between joint, when you don't feel like a fried clam plate or steamers or lobster roll at Barnacke Billys and don't feel like being snubbed or bigtimed at MC. My wife and I ended up there on our first anniversary and both enjoyed the apps, dinner, and the set up was cool (with outdoor seating). It's unlike any other restaurant in Ogunquit because it feels like it belongs in a more trendy, less touristy spot.

Great find! Had I not Yelped this place I probably would have passed on "That Place". Thanks to trusting my fellow Yelpers, I opted to have dinner here. Glad I did because my meal was delicious. Just what I needed after eating lobster almost every day while on vacation. Filet ordered medium; cooked to perfection. For $36 my steak came with a side of salt & pepper mashed potatoes and sweet corn. Probably one of the best filets I've had in a long time; juicy and full of flavor. We even decided to end our vacation with a second visit. You guessed it, another filet for me! There is a casual bar located on one side with some smaller cocktail tables. The main restaurant is located on the other side. Service was attentive. If I can make one suggestion to the owner; rename your restaurant! When speaking to another guest at our hotel she asked for a recommendation on where to eat. When I suggested she try "That Place", she balked and said that she didn't consider it when walking by earlier just based on the name. I was also hesitant until researching it further. Just my opinion, others may disagree.

I was a little worried, bringing a 6 and 4 year old here when I realized it was actually "fancy" for Ogunquit. But we were provided markers and paper to distract the girls, their dinner came out with our appetizer (maple bacon-wrapped mussels, yum) and we never felt bothered by having our kids with us. Main dishes were really good, although the sides were only ok. I had the tuna (well-seasoned), my wife the haddock (she liked it). I would go back with or without my kids after this experience. Totally worth it, although I must admit I wish they could serve on the front patio (you have to serve yourself due to some town law).

Incredible meal. Could be the best calamari ever. Incredibly fresh cioppino. Hangar steak was delicious. The biggest surprise of all was the fried chicken. Are you kidding me fried chicken this good in the middle of Ogunquit. Tremendous job!

As business owners in town and year round residents of Ogunquit, That Place is one of our favorite spots to frequent. The food is always fabulous and we really like the vibe & atmosphere in the bar area. Rick the owner behind the bar is always entertaining and one of the reasons we love the place so much. The service he provides is always top-notch and always leaves you feeling welcomed and satisfied and like you just left a friends house after dinner. Definitely give That Place a try! Like I said we like sitting in the bar area because you can choose from the dinner menu and the bar menu. The French onion soup is the best we've ever had and the flatbreads and crostini app are amazing too. The salmon entree over creamy risotto is awesome. We've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered, quite the contrary!

The Oysters Bingo- so very different and absolutely delicious. Also tried the chicken & goat cheese crustini. So yummy. Amazing atmosphere. Great happy hour prices. Apps are a bit pricy, but very very good

We have walked by this place many times and finally decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did!! It was very early for dinner (late lunch?) and they offer an early-bird dinner which was both an amazing meal and hands-down the best dining deal in Ogunquit. For $15 five of us had the lobster special. It started with a choice of salad (meh) or some of the best clam chowder I've ever had. The lobster was delicious as were the mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. One person in our party of six opted for the fish and chips. It was a nice sized portion of tempura-style haddock. Delicious! My only complaint was that our waitress didn't seem very happy that we were ordering from the early bird menu. Sorry, but isn't it better to have a party of six at 5:00 than an empty table? She did adjust her attitude throughout the meal, but she did make us feel a bit uncomfortable. The steaks looked amazing...next time!!

Delicious! Ate in the bar one night and came back for the dining room the 2nd. Really a terrific setting in a sleepy town and the server was very nice. Very strong martinis Good prices for steak and lobster Definitely a great spot to stop when in Ogunquit!

Tried That Place since we've been everywhere in OGT this summer and it was awesome. Bar menu for kids - the pizza was great. Best chowder I've had in a while and the hanger steak was really tasty. Will def be back once the lobster cravings are appeased next season.

We had a nice dinner last night at That Place. We were seated right away for our reservation. The decor and clean and modern. The room was on the loud side with someone's hearing aide buzzing until they left. Arg! The waitress seemed nervous and didn't tell us her name. We ordered two glasses of wine, the shrimp cocktail and my husband ordered the hanger steak and I ordered the ahi tuna rare. The shrimp cocktail came right out. I have two nitpicky items with it, the plate was warm like it was just out of the dishwasher and the cocktail sauce tasted like it was from a jar and did not have enough zing to it. The wine was okay, Malbec. The bread was just a few baguette sliced on a plate. The dinner came out quickly also. They were gorgeous looking and tasted delicious. My tuna was rare and could have used a little more seasoning. The noodles that came with it were delicious and a huge serving. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly and he enjoyed the mashed potatoes and asparagus it came with. We were full and passed on dessert and coffee. We were out the door at 57 minutes. On the way out the bar area was hopping. I would go back.

This place was really nice. It seemed very new and inviting inside. I had a steamed lobster there and it was great except my lobster came out with only one claw....hmmm. I didn't say anything about that, but I did feel a little gypped since that's one of the best parts of the lobster..... oh well. My boyfriend had the filet mignon and that was pretty good and the prices are pretty good too.

I usually come to Maine for seafood but this place is truly a gem. Decor was very nice, service was excellent, and the steaks were some of the best I ever had. I had a "tomahawk" bone-in ribeye with garlic butter and a sprig of thyme on top. It was cooked perfectly. The clam chowder was also excellent and filled with clams. Will definitely return.

Prime is Excellent choice if you are in the area. The food is to die for, prices are reasonable, and excellent atmosphere. Great for a nice night out. We had dinner then drinks at the bar. Everyone was satisfied with their meals (I had the Haddock). Appetizers were delicious (I had the tuna tar tar). We also splurged and split desserts. I recommend the chocolate layer cake. A++

Wow. What a find. We went to the bar first and had a good time listening to the bartender and the regulars chit chat. We then headed to the dining room. The atmosphere is fantastic and it is very tastefully decorated. I had the roasted beet salad with goat cheese- loved it! I had the hanger steak with twice baked potato-both were excellent. My boyfriend had the house salad the the rib eye with onion rings and glazed carrots. He was also very pleased with his meal. We were both too full for desert. Like someone else said-our only issue was the sign. We had GPS issues and when we drove by the restaurant I said, hmmm, there is Prime but it looked liked a oil company sign so we both thought it was not the place. We ended up calling and to our surprise, it was the restaurant.

Judging on decor, ambiance and friendliness of the staff, I was confident we would have a pleasant dining experience walking into this place. We started with the calamari appetizer, delicious! The wine list wasn't overwhelming and the merlot I chose at random was great. My husband is a tough sell on new restaurants, especially steakhouses. He LOVED his steak, it was perfectly prepared and the sides were flavorful as well. I'm not usually one to clean a plate but there was nothing left of my flatbread pizza! I would say our experience exceeded pleasant, and we will be back!

I've been here a few times in the past and enjoyed it more than my most recent visit. For one thing, they used to have popovers on the menu. It's one of the reasons I was so keen to go there this past weekend. Big bummer to see they took them off the menu. Booooo! Our server was some surfer chick who was friendly enough, but didn't seem terribly knowledgeable. The bread was yummy and was served with super tasty honey butter. Yum! I ordered an 8-ounce filet with corn off the cob and garlicky green beans. The vegetables were tasty and the steak had good flavor but was slightly overcooked. Unfortunately, we fell for it again . . . my boyfriend ordered a special. I forget the exact cut but I think it was a 14-ounce sirloin, perhaps?? What I mean by us 'falling for it again' was that we failed to ask the cost of the special after it was not revealed to us when described by surfer chick. It was $48!! Um, we are in Maine not Boston!! I mean, it did come with 2 sides, but it was $20 more than my meal which seemed very steep. It was also overcooked. He ordered medium rare and it was a strange pinkish gray. Oh, well. We were so fungry by the time our food came, we sucked it up and ate our overcooked meat. Having loved it so much on prior visits, I felt let down and ripped off. We decided to punish them by not having dessert with them. So there!! I don't know if I'd go back. I'm not certain if they've changed chefs or owners or management since my previous experiences, but it seems to have gone downhill. Shame, as it's lovely in there and there aren't any nice steakhouses in the area.

Prime is a hit or miss option. An expensive steak can be the wrong choice in this place and don't bother complaining because the owner could care less whether you are satisfied or not.

  • Mimi M.

We had reservations for 8, got seated at 830, then was told kitchen closes at 9 so we had to order as soon as our apps came out. Our waitress spilled a drink and got it all over my friend's phone. Meal was outstanding but couldn't make up for the service. It got so ridiculous that when my friend asked if he could have an espresso the response he received was, "no machine...so I guess that's a no." one would think the response should have been, "sorry, no machine. How about a regular coffee." Everyone in Ogunquit is usually so nice, so having bad service was quite a shock and therefore resulting in 2 stars.

Great food, good price, very wonderful people. I'm seriously obsessed with their French Onion Soup. I NEVER eat the bread on top since it's soggy, but they make the cheese nice and crispy. Mmm...thinking of it now is making me hungry. The chicken sandwich was great too. Between my and my fiance's 3 dishes it was only $30, pretty good price if you ask me.

We chose to dine here earlier this week based on the solid reviews and the fact we were having an early dinner and Prime's website advertised a nice early bird special. It turned out to be the best restaurant choice of our vacation. The bartender was super and the food and ambiance were great. The early birds were a great deal @ $16.95; please keep them Prime. My wife had a beautifully made grapefruit cosmopolitan and a glass of wine and I had a mixed drink and a beer, so we didn't get away cheap, we just got a good deal and everybody won. My wife is a big fan of baked haddock and declared this possibly the best she's had. My tri tip steak was cooked.perfectly as ordered and was tender and great. The bernaise sauce I ordered on the side (only $2 I think) put it over the top good. The included first course and sides were all top notch. And kudos to Nathan the bartender for doing everything a good bartender should.

My wife daughter adn I visisted Prime for a casual dinner at the bar last night. The modern, clean and sophisticaed restaurant was a cut above. The drinks were great and the food first class. The menu has an excellent range of price, from apps (tuna mango tartar) and small dinner entree's (hanger steak with bruschetta) to tasteful steaks (20oz ribeye, bone in). Rick (owner/bartender) was extremely friendly and attentive. Definately a place to go back to!

We were only in Ogunquit for the night and based on some of the other reviews, we tried Prime. Overall, It was excellent. Friendly and professional waitstaff... the slow roasted beat salad and french onion soup were amazing and the sides were outstanding. For dessert, we had the Caramel Oolong Tea Infused Crème Brulee... and that was one of the best creme brulees I have ever had! :) We will definitely go back!

Prime is an excellent steak house set in southern maine. its not the type of steak house that you feel like your paying an arm and a leg for a filet you could get at the supermarket for 15bucks. love this place in the summer for the fact that its always full with livelyhood and im in love with it in the winter and fall as its filled with local love

Didn't have dinner, just hung in the bar. The design is great, very moderns and spacious. The staff is nice. It wasn't packed since it was a Wednesday night, but the vibe was good. The bartenders are great too. Definite hang out spot if I were around there more.

FABULOUS! That's all u can say! DO NOT MISS PRIME!!!! I dine out several times a week in New England. I've never been to a more well rounded place! Great steak! Cream Spinach...Off the charts. Don't miss it..!!! We sat at the bar. The Bartender and the Bartender/Owner were GREAT! There was not one negative thing that I can say about PRIME.!!!

That Place is where it's at! It is a special dining space where the owner Rick stops by each table - an experience 'not that" in many restaurants. The fare started with two succulent scallops wrapped in bacon and glazed with local pure-maple.The other local ingredient is blueberry and its compote accompanied a brined grill bone-in pork chop. My party of three each, found That Place to Be The Only Place in Ogunquit to revisit during our 4th-of-July Holiday.

My husband and I were in the area for our honeymoon and decided to give this place a try when we saw their specials board outside on our morning walk. Four dollar house margaritas?? You bet we were over there as soon as they opened. Sure enough, the margaritas were absolutely delicious and incredibly strong. The food was good too; we got nachos to share, I got the beet salad with goat cheese and he got the whole milk mozzarella basil pizza. Overall we left stuffed and happy. We would definitely return if in the area again.

We went there tonight with our 16 month old they were more than accommodating. Not to mention the food and atmosphere were excellent. I would highly recommend. Very nice fireside ambiance also.

The food here was great! They took us right in without a reservation, but it was only ~6pm. I had the Tomahawk Rib steak and it was, frankly, amazing. My wife had the salmon over risotto which she liked very much. We both had a glass of wine from their nice selection. For dessert we had the Peanut Butter pie and creme brulee. Everything was very good. Service was great too. Only negative is that this place really is four dollar signs, but if you want a great dinner and don't mind the price you can't go wrong here.

Stopped by on a walk and decided to try the bar menu for a drink and lite meal. The service at the bar was fast and friendly . Food was outstanding . Great Bowl of clam chowder and a skirt steak entree. Of all the places i ate while here this was the best. Will be back next time for sure.

We went directly to the bar around 5 people started to come to the place, the bar tenders were great! Drinks were perfectly mixed. I had a mojito, my husband a captain and coke. We had the pizza margarita and the sausage one, both were great and tasty, very fresh ingredients! We will recommend the place and for sure return soon. They are working on adding a patio for summer! I believe would be a success!

Funny when you don't expect one of the best meals of your life. Place is top rate. Fancy, modern and loads of atmosphere - especially for a steakhouse. And the place has cutting edge style which is unexpected for Maine. Had french onion soup, steak - perfectly cooked, creamed spinach and caramelized pearl onions for sides. Dessert was what put it over the top, Caramel Oolong Tea Infused Crème Brulee. Granted we had to wait, but it was completely worth it.

Excellent excellent food....The Delmonico Steak, fried chicken, calamari etc. Nate and Rick rock the bar and Zack gave some of the best service in town definitely a place to go and eat.

I was happily surprised by how good a steak place could be on the coast of Maine, especially when I didn't have the steak. Some others in my party wanted steak, being 'tired' of lobster (yeah, I know, I don't get it either). So off to Prime we went. Everyone loved their food - even me. While they had the steak (filet), I had the house salad and the baked haddock. (Darn it - I didn't go to Maine for steak!) The salad presentation was great. They added shoestring onion fries (or maybe shallots) which added an extra zing. The baked haddock was also wonderful. I wish I had room for dessert. For a steak place, they did non-steak pretty good. Service was good, attentive but not clinging. The valet parking guy was fun and promised to refund our money if we didn't like our meal. Needless to say, we didn't take him up on it. I would go back without hesitation.

The best bar/restaurant in ogt! My boyfriend and I frequent this Perkins cove hot spot every trip to ogt. We actually went three nights in a row this past trip this weekend so I felt I needed to share with others so they can partake in the great experience! I feel like I step into an episode of Cheers whenever we go- Rick and Nate are both awesome bar tenders they remember everyone and are a hoot! They know our beverages of choice and bar food choices (maybe that's a sign we go too often?)! The salmon, steak, lobster, the gourmet pizzas, the burger and French onion soup are amazing. They have TVs playing boston sports but if you're in the mood for something else just ask rick- he is happy to accommodate. The whole atmosphere is so friendly and fun that we always end up having a great convo w locals or people just vacationing for a weekend- people of all ages from all over- really fun! Trust me... Try that place!! You'll probably see my boyfriend and I at the bar :) They are also opening outdoor seating soon for the dining room- can't wait!

Popped in here during an autumn tour of New England in October 2013. Seems there are two parts to this place, with a restaurant to the left and a bar to the right. As we weren't seeking a full dinner, we hit the bar for a couple of drinks and a nose through the bar menu. Being at the eastern (i.e out of town) end of Shore Road, this is more of a local establishment and it was rather fun to watch the Patriots eke out an unlikely win in the company of a barful of loyal fans. The beers were the usual variety of interesting and often excellent local micros and Milwaukee style yellow nonsense. My wife had a bowl of the onion soup, while I continued my clam chowder adventure. No complaints on either score and the bill was pretty respectable. If you are staying at one of the delightful B&Bs on the edge of town, this is a highly recommended spot where you stand a chance of avoiding the madding crowds of tourists, even if you are one. As it were.

I had the best lobster of my entire life at Prime and I've had a heck-of-a lot of lobster. They served it poached and removed the lobster meat for me but kept the shell on the plate. The side dishes of brussel sprouts and squash were both fantastic. I also thought their wine list was pretty solid. The service was good, the prices were reasonable, and the ambiance is a cozy as you can get. The tell tale sign that this place is fantastic is that as soon as I returned to Boston, I wanted to make the drive back up to Maine to try Prime again.

For a Steakhouse named "Prime" they had NO Prime Rib! What?! That makes no sense to me. But everything else was great, including the service, they are so nice in Maine!
