My husband and I each had the lobster omelet. Our waiter who was very attentive suggested the corn beef hash. We ordered it as a side. Although the omelet was good (small portion) it was only served with toast. I think for the $15.00 price it should have been served with something else perhaps home fries. The corm beef hash was very good but at the cost of $7.00 for a side order I thought we were getting a serving instead we received a tasting at best. We were not hungry so the small servings were OK; but considering the price this will NOT be on my list of recommendations to friends and family.

Fantastic breakfast bringing local comforts to the forefront of your taste buds! Irish Eggs Benedict featured Corned Beef hash that did not weigh the dish down but elevated it to a savory delight. Cinnamon Sourdough French Toast was the perfect accompaniment with a sweet note to compliment the Benedict... No Arnold, they played very well together. Don't miss the $5.00 Bloody Mary's!!!

Amore Breakfast was the perfect Sunday morning ease into the day dinning that we had in mind for our wonderful weekend in Ogunquit. Our delightful breakfast experience began with a warm greeting and an offer to have a cup of fresh brewed coffee as we waited for our table, outside on the patio watching the world wake up on a dreamy Sunday morning in Maine. I was especially grateful for choices: We bought yummy walnut topped blueberry muffins to nibble on, while we waited. They have a take out section and I was happy just to be able to get some blood sugar going as we sat in the warming sun. They have a great selection of guests and the parking to go with it all! We saw bike racks, dog bowls, parking spaces for cars and outdoor benches and chairs for us pedestrians. I liked the little gimme's they offered even before we sat down. The breakfast selection is extensive, all made to order with glutten free options. This is becoming a more important issue for my wife and I. My wife enjoyed ordering an all white omlett with fresh fruit. She's such a goodie to shoes! I went for the eastern omlett with andoullie sausage, side order of ham and hash browns! So, I'll have to run another 5K. Service is engaging and friendly, atmosphere is white and balck checkerboard with nostalgia clinging to the walls. Charming. You feel welcomed by the people and the referral to area dinning and entertainment. They are part of the community and you feel like you are too.

Great breakfast. Lots of lobster/crab breakfast meals. Server was friendly and helpful. However no pancakes on the menu. One more star for pancakes.

Came in for the obligatory vacation Lobster Benedict (delicious). Tried the banana foster french (also delicious) but, seriously, the corned beef hash was over the top great. Our waitress, Cindi, was super helpful and friendly. Adding Amore to the list of must go to places when we come back.

We stayed literally a one minute walk to this place on our recent vacation to Maine, and had to try it for ourselves due to the wonderful reviews. I really do not know why there are so many positive reviews of this place, yes the food was decent but totally not worth the 25 minute wait on a Monday morning. It was very plain, nothing special. I had their stuffed french toast which was literally stuffed with about a quarter cup of cream cheese....and that's it...I am sorry if it's just not my thing to eat that much cream cheese but I found it very hard to get down. Otherwise the waiter was very nice, friendly, etc. the ambiance of the place was fun, but you really need to consider there are some absolutely wonderful places to eat just a 10 minute drive from there!

Wow. Amazing. I loved it. We showed up at 10 AM on a Wednesday and were told there was probably a 30-minute wait, possibly 20 if we were willing to sit at the bar. Then, we were handed two coffee mugs and pointed to the adjoining café where we could fill them. The café also sold newspapers, postcards, baked goods, jam, Maine souvenirs, and had seating. There were tables and chairs outdoors for those waiting as well. We settled in the sunshine and read the Times and drank our coffee - it was the most pleasant wait for a meal I've ever had. In less than 20 minutes, we ended up at the bar, which was spacious, and the stools were comfortable. We did the crossword and had the New York-y sort of morning that we never actually have in New York. The waitress was sweet, the décor was adorable, the food was to die for. Even the people sitting next to us were nice. It was like some sort of breakfast fantasy land. I had a half-order of the lemon bread French toast stuffed with cream cheese and served with fresh blueberry topping and whipped cream, as well as a side of homemade hash. (The hash was a special, but I hear they serve it anytime if you ask - it' s just not on the menu.) My boyfriend had an eggs benedict dish made with sausage patties, sliced tomatoes and a basil hollandaise. Everything was pretty darn perfect. I can't say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and go.

Yes, do it, best greek omelette i have had in my life. you will wait in line, its ok, its worth it, prices are not bad at all, service is great, these people get it! creative, healthy, well executed food.

Most definitely get the pecan encrusted, cream cheese stuffed french toast w/banana syrup (the bananas foster french toast) - it is ahhhmazing. I thought the cream cheese was going to be gross but it's not - it's done really really well. Awesome place - really cool - even the bathroom was nice! Excellent service too. Parking was a pain though.

I definitely don't get what all of the fuss is about. (Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff?) our older waitress didn't hide her annoyance that we had kids (really?! It's a breakfast place in a resort town- not a nightclub!) every order at our table was wrong -right down to the coffee! A side of plain white toast was $2. I would recommend one of the no frills diners in the area-- eggs taste the same wherever you go.

Great Location. Amazing Food. Great Vibe and ambiance. Wonderful staff. Large restaurant with plenty of seating. The ambiance is similar to a diner but without the table jukebox. I ordered the bananas foster which was absolutely heavenly. This is a must buy. If you order one thing from the menu it must be this. A wonderful experience. The waitress was wonderful and friendly.

The bananas foster french toast gets 5 stars alone. The other stuff is good too but seriously just get that french toast and be amazed. Gets busy if you get there late during the summer.

  • Deann M.

Wow, wow, wow. We waited for about an hour (it was mid-morning on a Saturday so we were prepared to wait), but we got our mug of coffee and sat outside in their porch-like waiting area. Since we checked out the menus as we waited, we had our order ready as we were seated. The food came quickly and we had the nicest waitress. I ordered the specialty, the banana foster french toast which had won several awards, and it was absolutely delectable! I also like something savory with breakfast so I also got a side of the home fries, which were cooked with fresh herbs. My boyfriend had a vegetarian omelet which was enormous and we were both full until dinner. I definitely recommend it, but if you don't want to wait, get there really early or go on a weekday. I hope their new location can accommodate the masses that come to eat there, because the food is amazing!

With a specific request for French Toast from my father-in-law, it sounded from other review that Amore was the spot... they were right! I called Saturday morning and they were lovely to put us on the list, as we were a group of 9 (they don't take reservations). We arrived and our table was ready. Our server was prompt with waters/coffee. The menu has a great selection of eggs benedict, french toast, and egg dishes. Our group ordered a variety of items and nothing was a disapointment. Everything was served hot and perfect to order (we are big on substitutions). We had a wonder breakfast and did not feel rushed at all. Our overall experience was great! Our only issue was the air conditioner was initally on the fritz, but half way through our meal, it was resolved and our server was wonderful to acknowledge it and keep us well watered! Thanks for great good and great service! We will return.

Same complaint as others. Friday before Labor Day, 8:30:am at a breakfast place, dining room half empty, space at the bar we would have gladly taken. We were told that there were only two servers and we would have to wait for a table. From past experiences the food is good, but seriously? Didn't wait and migrated to Roost, and were followed by several folks also trying to get a table at Amores. Jumped the Shark?

  • Nate C.

I agree 99% with Jim D about Amore, the 1% we differ on is that it was an "off day" for Amore...I think this is, sadly, their norm. My wife ordered the "Southwestern" omelet with multigrain toast. She absolutely hated it and I tried a bite and almost spit it out. I don't think I've ever eaten anything with that many ingredients in it that was so bland....absolutely zero taste. There are like 8 ingredients in the thing and it had NO TASTE AT ALL...how is that even possible? The potatoes that were in the omelet weren't even fully cooked...terrible. The toast was, well, toast...pretty damn hard to mess that up...although throwing some butter on it might have helped a bit...they didn't even do that. You gotta get the basics right and they did not. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and a side of homefries. Just about everything that could be wrong with a breakfast sandwich was...the english muffin wasn't toasted, the bacon was DRY and drastically overcooked, the egg was a complete mess and all over the place and the cheese must have been made by Kraft because it had zero flavor. The homefries were a travesty...I LOVE HOMEFRIES and these were just a total insult...they were dry, overcooked and, with the exception of a faint hint of gas (odd, I know), they were flavorless. The coffee was equally bland and disappointing. Overall not a great breakfast experience. Avoid the 1-2 hour wait time and go somewhere else in town. If you want a truly great breakfast then check out any of the following... Congdon's - Wells, ME Polly's Pancake Parlor - Sugar Hill, NH Depot Diner - Beverly, MA Omelette Headquarters - Wakefield, MA In a Pickle - Waltham, MA

Once again, I find it hard to believe that there are lots of bad reviews for a place that it so obviously great. If you are expecting the food to BLOW YOU AWAY, then clearly you're in the wrong place. This is basically a slightly upscale diner. So if you want a really tasty breakfast, tons of local flavor (the owner Leigh Ann has this is spades), a fun crowd, charming decor, and a really great and reliable local place to eat, then this is it. If you don't like it--then don't come back and you won't be missed. This place is jammed every day. I personally love the Nutty Waffle--but go ahead and splurge for the real maple syrup. You can afford the $2. And you're probably worth it. :) By the way--there is a way to not have to wait at all, even when there is an hour wait. But I'm not going to tell you what it is. If you become an Ogunquit regular, you'll eventually figure it out. Or Leigh Ann will tell or your other favorite wait-person will clue you in.

We came here on a trip up to maine based on the Yelp reviews. We got there right as they opened at 7am on a Thursday. I got the corned beef hash special which was amazing, best corned beef hash I have ever had. My boyfriend got the Corned beef hash eggs benedict which he loved as well. The place is charming and the staff is pleasant. The only negative is the high prices. I am planning to go back the next time we are in the town.

It's always interesting when you see so many positive reviews of a place and then you find it hard to say much about it yourself. That being said; I suppose everyone has "an off day". Well today was an "off day". My omelet was just - boring. The little pieces of Cinnamon Raisin bread were smashed up little things that looked rather pathetic. The other two folks in my party were also disappointed. One had very over-cooked eggs and another read "sausage and bacon" and then 1 little shriveled up sausage and a little piece of bacon. Very disappointing,

EVERYTHING was delicious. Our large party (8) was accommodated quickly at peak brunch time and we were welcomed by the most wonderful server; I only wish I can remember his name. He was truly WONDERFUL. Patient, kind, knowledgeable and just absolutely charming. Go and enjoy yourself- we know we'll be back on the next family vacation!

Went here today. The muffin tops are good, as is the bananas foster french toast. cute place. The lemon blueberry french toast was dry. The topping was not a sauce but rather a dry blueberry topping. Could be better with some work. Mocha latte is good. staff is nice.

What's with the hype? It was just ok... nothing original. Took forever to get a table and after the wait, we were expecting something amazing... what a let down. Forget about good old regular omelet, muffins, coffee etc... and clearly don't drive all the way from Boston with high expectations. There is better stuff in Ogunguit. Like lobster. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hit town. Now!

We were recommended to come here for breakfast by the locals and forewarned that the wait time was going to be long. And long it was. We waited an hour to be seated and yet another half hour for our food to arrive. I did notice that the staff did not use their time wisely or know how to yield a faster turn over. There were at least 2 to 3 tables open for nearly 20 minutes all the while mounds of people were waiting outside to be seated. As stated in other reviews, their muffin tops are delicious. We ordered the Blueberry crumb muffin top and it was buttery, flaky goodness. I ordered the Lobster eggs benedict. And while it tasted fairly good, the eggs were a tad overdone. I've had better. My bf ordered their "famous extra thick" banana fosters french toast. Sounds rediculously good right? It was neither thick nor should it be famous. The bread was soggy and the whole thing was encrusted with pecans. Too many pecans. Bleh! I did not likey, nor did my bf. Ambiance is cute, very 50s retro theme. Every table was different. From your round table top to your square elementary school writing table. Overall, a waste of 2 hours for an average meal and took too much time away from other activities.

First time visitors and will not be our last. Great food and excellent service. The inside of the restaurant has kind of a 50's feel. It has a beautiful bar and three different rooms, two of which are for sit down areas; the third is a shop. The food was a five out of five. I had the Mixed Omelet and my wife had the Cream Cheese stuffed French Toast. We were both very pleased with our food. The coffee was always warm and the smiles from the wait staff and owners was contagious. I think we found our favorite breakfast spot while we visit Ogunquit, ME.

As fresh as expected based on the reviews I read, but nothing worth excitement. I was disheartened by the raw onions in my Eastern Omelet. Staff was efficient and kindly moved us into the back room to escape yelling children. Great coffee, cute decor.

I have an autistic son who is very picky about what he eats. Amore has addicted him to their belgian waffles. The omelette was delish and the french toast fabu. Since we were staying close by, we took out a lot and the people could not have been friendlier.

5 stars for FOOD!! So we waited about an hour on a Monday morning for our party of 6. However, the fabulous showtunes, coffee (not free- boo) and newspaper boxes would have kept me occupied even if I hadn't brought a book to read. Our waitress was excessively perky. It actually kind of scared me and I had a hard time smiling back. But when my Gardener's Benedict came out, all was forgotten. There was probably a full day's serving of perfectly cooked zucchini, asparagus, and spinach under my eggs, resting on top of a fat slice of roasted tomato and an english muffin. The hollandaise was some of the best I've ever had and my herbed potatoes were a perfect side. Everyone else in my party also loved their food- the omelettes were especially large and the french toast was simple but just right. My favorite item was my peanut butter fudge hot chocolate. It was the perfect temperature for sipping and the whipped cream melted in slowly so I had extra cream in every sip. This cute little place is crowded and loud, but the service is pretty quick (once you get seated) and the food is truly fab!

It is not easy to find a restaurant, let alone breakfast place to make my wife happy. She has a dairy allergy and she has to explain what she can and can't have in many places. So, we were happy to be here as not only did they communicate my wife's dairy allergy well, but they also had milk alternatives (soy or almond) that allowed her to enjoy a Chai latte with her eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast (a standard meal with no substitutions). Wow! I had the belgian waffle with bacon in it. It is the perfect blend of sweet and savory with the Maine maple syrup. It is worth the extra couple of bucks! Add in a beautiful, clean restaurant with (to me) great music plus great service with a personable owner and it could not have been any better! Wish we had a place like this where we live.

  • Geoffrey R.

This place was great for breakfast, the long lines were a bit of a put off but how can you complain that a place is so good people are willing to wait. And for breakfast that says something. We had a great crab avocado and swiss omellete and their signature black and blue french toast. (black or blueberries with lemon bread stuffed with cream cheese) They are so good they don't need any syrup. They are moving to a new location in April of 2009.

4 1/2 stars The food, decor and service were excellent. The stuffed w/ cream cheese, lemon French toast was wonderful, especially the fresh Maine blueberries and other berries. Coffee and tea were good. I believe it was the owner that greeted us at the door w/ a great big warm smile and welcome as she seated us. The staff seemed happy to work there. Overall it added to the great first-impression of Ogunquit, and we look forward to visiting this enchanting seaside town again! Next time I would like to give the Bananas Foster French Toast a try.

This breakfast place was outstanding! The staff was really friendly, the owner was super nice and the food was great. The restaurant is very clean, the tap water is filtered ( no bleach smell or taste) and just an overall fun time at this restaurant. My girlfriend and I felt like we knew everyone for years and had a blast! We will definitely be going back to Amore when we are in town!

Tried this place for the first time on a recent trip to Ogunquit. It was decent, but nothing special. I had the fruit, granola, and yogurt and a blueberry muffin. The granola was decent but I had to add sugar to the dish, as it was pretty bland. The muffin, however, was delicious. Prompt and friendly service, but they stuffed five of us at a pretty tiny table. I would go again, if only because there are so few restaurants open in the area during the off-season!

Very average breakfast food you can get at any diner in any big city and a long wait for seating.

  • Jody F.

A great place for breakfast, but come early in the high summer season, when the waits can top an hour. Amore Benedict was tasty, hash and eggs were solid. French toast was the winner on the table, with a bit of cinnamon and powdered sugar. Waitstaff is cheery, helpful and very toddler friendly. Location is key, right outside Perkins Cove and an easy walk from the Ogunquit center of town.

The very best breakfast I've ever had. I dream of their muffin tops, omelets, and morning specials. Get a cup of coffee and relax out front while you wait your turn. It's definitely worth it!

What a wonderful surprise- friendly staff, delicious breads, muffins and salads and parking! We planned to go to the Playhouse but arrived a bit early. Since the staff there suggested this cafe we took their sage advice. Even if the big dining room is closed, the small cafe offers amusing and clever items for sale ( such as I love Lucy memorabilia!) as well as satisfying snacks and lunches. a hidden treasure amongst all the more advertised dining places.

Worth the wait! This place is always packed in the summer, we usually wait almost an hour for a table. The Oscar Madison omelet is OH so good, as is the cream-cheese-stuffed French toast...YUM! It's nice to grab a coffee while you wait, and sit outside or wander into the shop next door. Friendly service, too.

  • Anastasia L.

This little breakfast nook serves up a mean lobster benedict! There is also a nice variety of omelettes and other tasty breakfast treats. The waffles looked delicious although both times I ate here I stuck with the lobster benedict. When in Maine... The staff here are incredibly friendly. It is charmingly decorated with mismatched furniture and country cafe decor. There is often a wait for a table, as it is not a huge space and extremely popular. Cold water is available for those waiting on benches outside in the hot summer months. You can also pop in for a coffee and muffin to go! NOTE: They are open 7am-1pm Friday-Tuesday; closed Wednesdays and Thursdays.

the lines are long to get into on the week ends during the summer but it is well worth the wait. Everything we had there was amazing that we went there both mornings we were in town. The first day I had the Bananas Foster french toast, and the next day the mix grill omelet. I would highly recommend it.

Tried this place on day 2 of our weekend after a dismal breakfast at "the Egg and I" the day before. Line was rediculiously long, so we put our name in an grabbed a cup of coffee and a muffin top from the attached caffe next door (my 4 year old couldnt wait) which were both very good. The owner (I think) saw we had the little guy with us and made mention that we could order to-go and eat at the outdoor tables. Food was great, try the Black or Blue french toast. Waffles were very good, and the my wifes breakfast sandwich was great too. The service was great(especially after the prior days experience). The lines are crazy long, but that ususally is a good indication. They do NOT serve pancakes, which I thought was odd for a breakfast place, but they have a very extensive menu. About a dozen differnt "benedict" style eggs, omelets, etc. Ill definately stop back on my next trip into Ogunquit.

  • Geoff M.

My wife and I grabbed breakfast here during a quick getaway to the area, and we loved the breakfast. I had the bananas foster french toast, and it's really good and crazy filling. The portions are a good size, and the prices are what you'd expect for a seasonal tourist area. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

I wanted this to be an awesome breakfast, but was thwarted by mediocrity all the way around. My first impression was that our waitress was annoyed at having to be a waitress, and so presented as being rather unfriendly or unwaitreess-like. She seemed annoyed at being asked if we could have a Banana with our breakfast (the answer, incidentally, was no - the last banana, apparently having been used to make the Bananas Foster....makes me wonder if those Foster bananas are frozen) The omelet was good, but the aforementioned Bananas Foster French Toast was underwhelming to the point where it actually went unfinished - basically unheard of in my french toast eating experience. So overall, it was a disappointing breakfast, and not even close to our hopes of finding a contender for Maple Sugar and Vermont Spice (Mendon, VT), which upholds the title as "most bestest breakfast ever"...

  • Mike M.

Just had Sunday breakfast here and it was great. Because it was Easter Sunday there was no wait so maybe in the summer it's another story but my wife and I really enjoyed it. The Hash was the best ever and not like to usual canned Hash that so many restaurants now use.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. So glad we went here based on the Yelp reviews. Great menu choices. We ordered the lobster Benedict and corned beef which was excellent! I don't normally like hollandaise sauce but I ate every bit here. Loaded with real corned beef! The kids had French toast and Belgian waffle with blueberries. We ate every bite! The waiter was friendly and efficient. Nice location, about a 10 minute walk out of Ogunquit center, with parking in the rear. Be careful of sides prices. The kids asked for a side of scrambled eggs each and we were charged ($3.50 twice, which was on top of their meals at approx $8.50). Not worth it. Everything else was fantastic!

Our family looks forward to our yearly visit to Perkins Cove in Ogunquit. A'more's staff will always greet you with a friendly smile. By far the best breakfast in Ogunquit. I love the black or blue.... Lemon filled bread with cream cheese filling and your choice of blackberries or blueberries. Shout out to our favorite staff member... The assistant manager D. See you next season!

Giving Amore 3 stars. Would say it's a Maine 3...very casual place with simple breakfast. Ordered the fried egg sandwich with bacon and home fries on the side. Also had the Crack O'noon omelette with feta, olives, artichoke, spinach, and tomato with a side of 7-grain toast. With the sandwich bacon was nice and crispy, but egg was a little too oily and the slice of orange on the side of the plate for decorations looked slightly old and shriveled. Home fries were good, but prefer the shredded breakfast potatoes. Omelette was average, nothing special, and met expectations for a $7 price point. If you don't like too much butter ask for butter on the side for the toast. They lather it up.

Been coming to Amore for years and the breakfast is always solid. The service can be hit or miss however. I love the lobster eggs Benedict. Done very well and tasty! Very filing too, the right amount of food for a reasonable individual. The interior of the establishment is pretty cute as well (old kitchen theme). And they have outdoor seating and a separate coffee shop. The only downside is the servers can be less than attentive sometimes, even when the place isn't very busy. Oh well, the food is worth it.

This is one of the better breakfast spots in Ogunquit. We used to come here at the original location. All the ingredients are extremely fresh, and the baked goods are amazing. The cinnamon raisin bread is a must try. Also the Potato Pancakes are delicious.

Definitely one of the best breakfast places in Ogunquit. Quick and friendly service, relaxed environment, and delicious food. I had the lobster Benedict and it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Lots of lobster, yummy home fries, and a delicious hollandaise sauce...what's not to love. The other members of my family had the primavera omelette, a French toast special, and be still my heart. The potato pancakes in the be still my heart were so yummy, would definitely recommend if you aren't a seafood lover (otherwise get the lobster Benedict!!!). Will be back again!

I'm a little late with this review being I was there a couple months ago. However, I didn't want to let this review slip through the cracks. Most people could probably care less about breakfast but I for one LOVE breakfast. There's just something about chowing down on bacon & eggs while sipping on a nice strong cup of coffee that I love. Especially when on vacation! So I used my Yelp app like I always do to find where the good eats are. After learning Amore got four stars and it was a stone's throw from my hotel, I was sold. We got there around 9am and there was a slight wait for a table. I didn't mind much because there were coffee dispensers right inside the entrance to help yourself. Not complimentary, but I nice touch. They will add it to your bill at the end. Coffee was a tad weak for my liking, but it hit the spot nonetheless. We were eventually led to our table by the hostess. The inside is very Country-like with red white and black checkered patterns throughout the restaurant. Lots of funny pictures on the wall to enjoy. The menu reads; "love is our Maine ingredient". Get it? Love is our Mai....never mind! Ordered up three over easy, wheat toast and fresh corned beef hash. Eggs are eggs but they were cooked perfectly. The corned beef hash was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Just what I needed to get the day started. Breakfast is breakfast to most, I on the other hand disagree. After all, it's the most important meal of the day! Especially when it's as good as Amore!

This place is really cute and probably one of the best in Ogunquit. The vintage atmosphere is amazing and the waiters are very nice. The only problem, they do not have pancakes for breakfast. I mean, a breakfast place without pancakes??? Weird. At least I ate the waffle with blueberries and cream and it was delicious

The first stop we made in Maine for breakfast after a night of driving from a friend's recommendation. What a cute spot! Unfortunately there weren't very many parking space in their lot. But there is a parking lot across the street that is all day parking for fairly cheap. This lot is great to park at and walk down Shore road and Perkins cove area afterwards. Our group of eight had a bit of a wait to get seated so we checked out the gift shop while we waited. We ordered the lobster benedict, black and blue lemon cake, banana foster, mama mia omelet, fiesta benedict and a side of the corned beef hash. Bloody Marys and mimosa were flowing all around as well. I got a hot chocolate. The lobster benedict, which I ordered and reluctantly shared with the group, was my favorite dish. The lobster was plentiful and cooked perfectly. Everything was seasoned to my liking. I'm not much of a sweet food morning person so all the other dishes were just okay to me. Everyone was raving about them though. Service was great and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit!

Excellent breakfast in a good location with great service. I got the Hash Benedict at the recommendation of our waitress. All I have to say is too bad it was a special because the hash was one of the best I've had. Luckily, my friend ordered off the regular menu and can vouch for the Lobster Benedict and we both heartily approve of the Banana Foster French toast. Delicious! If you get the chance to meet Summit the golden retriever in the parking lot across the street, that's just an added bonus.

My daughter and i had breakfast here this morning. It wasn't too busy. The parking lot is very small so be prepared to wait for a spot. We were seated promptly and the waitstaff and employees were very polite and friendly. The coffee was very good. One of the best i've had. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and cinnamon raisin french toast; all of it was cooked to perfection. My daughter had the classic eggs benedict and enjoyed it. My only complaint would be that no one ever topped off my coffee cup so i'm assuming no free refills which i think should be offered. I also wish these places would use only real maple syrup. I know its expensive but the imitation stuff doesn't belong in a good breakfast spot. They do offer it for $3 more.

Corn beef hash was outstanding. Lemon pound cake French toast not so much, but the great service more then made up for it. Good place for a hearty breakfast, but be prepared to wait as it seems to be very popular.

This place has the best food and atmosphere. It really transforms you. We got the lobster omelette and lobster eggs Benedict. It could have had more lobster meat but it was still delicious. I didn't get any drinks but I saw that a lot of people there had various types of Bloody Mary's. I think I'll have to try one next time. And there will be a next time! Great atmosphere, food, and people (so friendly)!

Y-U-M!!!!! I ordered one of the BEST latte's I have ever had here over the past weekend, along with a fantastic gluten free meal. I had the potato pancake-sausage-bacon-poached egg meal with a side of home made corned beef hash. SO SO SO good! The corned beef hash was some of the best I have ever had in my life. I forget what the hubs had but it included grilled tomatoes and he didn't leave one bite on his plate. Great service, even better food, and a cute little set up. This will be our go-to place when visiting the beach this summer! :)

This was our first spot when we showed up to Maine and I have to say it was a pretty good start. Being that we came with 8 people and so we ended up ordering about a 1/3 of the menu. Everything was standard to pretty good. (more on the pretty good side). The staff was pleasant and the decor was quaint. This would certainly be our go-to spot if we were to live here or visit again. Definitely trying at least once The parking can be a bit tricky as their own lot fills up quick--the lot across the street is fairly cheap (considering it's for the whole day) so you can walk off your food coma after eating there as there's a bunch of shops down the road (about a 10 minute walk tops)

"Best Breakfast in Ogunquit"! I saw this quote in one of the local travel/tourist guidebooks and since I love breakfast places was interested in trying it. It is located on Shore Rd in a small "strip mall like setting" and I may have missed it had I not had the address. We wanted to see if it lived up to its claim of Best in the town and it did. My sister ordered the special french toast which was homemade pumpkin raisin sourdough and it was delicious! I had the Primavera omelet that enticed me with the variety of vegetables in it and especially the asparagus tips. We shared the two entrees. We also tried their "house" corned beef hash which was not the classic hash with potatoes in it but mostly all meat. It was tasty but my sister preferred the traditional type. The environment is very cute- sort of a cross between retro and beachy. The size of the place is deceiving from the outside and seating extends much further inside. It must be a bustling place in the busy season of summer. Our server was very pleasant and I am sorry I forgot his name. I would have liked to have tried their "muffin tops" - homemade but was just too full. This place did live up to its reputation of "Best Breakfast" and I would recommend anyone to give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Note: We have tried many of the other local breakfast spots in Ogunquit in the past: Egg & I, Congdons,Maine Diner and Omelet factory and we wanted someplace small and home cooked food. This totally met the bill.

We went here because of a recommendation from the front desk of our hotel. We were quite disappointed for the following reasons: 1) there is no "kid's menu". A child will have to order a more expensive adult's meal or an adult will have to split his/her meal with the child. 2) No pancakes! Who ever heard of a breakfast place that does not serve pancakes? Well, here we have a pancake-free breakfast zone. 3) It's very overpriced for what you get. As an example, one Belgian waffle with nothing extra will set you back $9.00. 4) Beware the coffee pot as you walk in the front door. No indication of its price, just a little "help yourself" placard might seem friendly and inviting. But as we found out when we got our bill, that tiny mug of coffee is in fact $3.00 and they charge an additional $3.00 for each refill. Quality of the food is ok, but unremarkable, especially at the price. Sorry to say, we'll definitely go somewhere else next time. 8/13/15 - My response to comments below from the business owner: My comments above contain much more accuracy than inaccuracy. By your own admission, you do not offer a kid's menu. When I asked the server about this, he just confirmed that there was no kid's menu and didn't offer any of the "economical and creative" alternatives you indicated. On the way out, we also mentioned it to the woman who led us out (maybe it was you), who simply chuckled and suggested that it should be no problem for an adult to split his/her meal with the child (which completely misses the point). That person also did not suggest any of the alternatives you indicated. If these alternatives exist as you describe, I suggest you formally include it somehow with the menu materials you give each guest. With prices. Because right now, it's a pretty well-kept secret. Next, the pancakes. Again, by your own admission, you do not offer them. Limited griddle space? I can't believe I just read that as an excuse for a breakfast place that can't offer pancakes under any circumstances. Next, the waffle. It was in fact $8.99 and in checking your menu, I see it was the so-called "nutty" waffle, which had no perceptible nut flavor to me or my wife, so that is why I assumed it was plain. But in fairness, in reviewing your menu, I see you also have an officially plain waffle for $6.99. However, I stand by my statement that the waffle I got was unadorned, tasted plain, was fairly small, and certainly not worth $8.99. Finally, the coffee. I will admit to a possible error here as we did not get a refill on the $3.00 cup, and the information I gave was from another one of your reviewers on Yelp who was charged $3.00 for each refill. Nowhere on your menu do you indicate that it is refilled at no additional charge. In fact, just the opposite, I see "single" prices for coffee. However, I stand by my criticism that if you are "offering" a cup of coffee on the way in, it would be courteous to let people know the price they are agreeing to pay by taking your most generous offer. Sorry, we do not intend to return, because we simply feel you do not meet our needs nor offer a good value for the prices you are charging.

I'm not a girl who love's breakfast. I usually skip over it entirely and eat something that resembles a lunch-ish type thing instead. But every now and then I'm tempted to give "the most important meal of the day" another try, like I did recently at Amore in Ogunquit. The restaurant itself is very bright and spacious. I felt both like I was at a modern diner and at my favorite aunt's house having tea at the same time. The three women working were very thoughtful and very attentive not just to me, but to everyone in the room. I noticed the owner (maybe?) going out of her way to touch base with each table to see not only how their meal was, but how they personally were doing. Those sort of small touches are what make or break an experience; I wonder if - when the place is slammed in the summer - she still has the time to do that. I hope so! I ordered the Gardener's Benedict: two poached eggs on top of grilled zucchini, spinach, and asparagus, atop sliced tomatoes and drizzled with hollandaise. It didn't come on an English muffin, but I asked for one anyway (an extra $1 charge). I so wish I hadn't. The eggs were beautifully prepared, my fork slid easily into the center, and the yolk broke majestically (I've never said that about a yolk before - but there's no other way to describe it!); the hollandaise was smooth and rich without being grainy or overpowering; and, the veggies were crunchy and fresh. The English muffin, however, was completely soggy. Maybe it wasn't toasted long enough? I don't know, but I wish I hadn't gotten it! Segue... Every now and then a food can transport you to a different time in life. It doesn't happen often, and I think if you go looking for it you end up sorely disappointed. But when I took a mouthful of those herbed homefries? Wow, it just brought me right back to eating Sunday dinner with my grandparents at our summer home! They were perfectly cooked and even more perfectly seasoned. Most homefries are so crunchy and so salty, that they become less of a complimenting side dish and more of just a filler. Not at Amore. Their homefries are herbal and melt in your mouth; they absolutely boost the main food as opposed to take away from it (in a bad way). So... did I find amore at Amore? Sure. It isn't madly, truly, deeply. But there's some fluttering of the heart there, for sure. So yes, I would definitely come back. But not in the summer during "tourist season." I can see myself coming out of my way to take the hour drive here next autumn (the entire town is decorated for fall/Halloween, too - how charming! I wanna move here!) for the homemade lemon bread french toast stuffed with cream cheese and topped with blueberries or blackberries. And the homefries!

definitely worth stopping by if you are in ogunquit. i had such a lovely breakfast here with my NH pal. it's close to the NH border, and even closer to the water. the restaurant itself is decorated cutely with lots of New England touches. the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive in re-filling our coffee cups. I had the french toast with fresh maple syrup and sausage on the side. it was lip smacking good and i left feeling very full. location wise, this restaurant is also amidst many cute shops. if i didnt drink so much coffee i would have grabbed a cup at Breaking Grounds (i dont even really drink coffee). i got my fill of New England, the water and food all from here!

Lackluster would be the best way I could describe our experience at Amore. We were in town on vacation on Sunday we decided to head over and have breakfast based on the 4 star Yelp review. I wanted to like Amores, but what we found was an over priced experience that was bland and forgettable. We ordered a raspberry smoothie and a Raspberry Hot Chocolate to start. The hot chocolate is a flavored cocoa powder mixed with hot water and you can really taste that. It's a watery mess. The smoothie was tasty, but the plastic cup it came in had been washed a bit too much as you can see the cracks running through the cup and the soapy white film caked onto the plastic. Once I noticed that I started noticing that the walls next to our table had some food stains on them also. We ordered an In Your Teeth omelette, which consisted of three (3) eggs, fresh spinach, button mushrooms, onions with cheese and toast. My girlfriend got the cinnamon raisin french toast with scrambled eggs. We each got a side of sausage links. In my humble opinion, the omelette was a decent size with a lot of spinach in the filling, but it lacked salt and pepper and was bland. The two (2) sausage links were tiny, but cooked well. The french toast, was either not dipped in egg or was so lightly dipped in egg you could barely taste it. based on the crust of the bread it looked like it had just been cooked in butter. It felt like you were eating butter and maple syrup saturated thick toast, not french toast. The scrambled eggs were over cooked, rubbery and also lacked seasoning. $39.30 (tip included) later we left feeling underwhelmed and still hungry. The day prior we spent the exact same thing at another place for brunch, I checked my bank statement prior to writing this. Walking into the other place the day prior the place looked like it would be about $40 for brunch due to the decor and atmosphere. The other place delivered in all the areas Amores did not. I did not expect to pay the exact same thing for less food that was not as flavorful and ultimately forgettable. We have been coming to Ogunquit for three (3) years straight and always look forward to trying new places every year. This happened to be one of those try and fail instances for us, which happens. Amores, is one we will not be returning to when we know we can get better food for the same price else where. Give it a shot if you are curious, but in my humble opinion, I would say move on and try some where else.

If you have to wait, it's worth it!!!! The corned beef hash is amazing. They have coffee out while you wait so that makes it even more worth it. There are tons of unique choices on the menu, the omelets are great!

My wife isn't a huge fan of breakfast to begin with, so it needs to be special when she does agree to go. Amores is special! I remember this place from 2 other previous and close locations. The restaurant is large and welcoming with spotless 50s decor. We were seated immediately and waited on very quickly. Our waiter was very friendly, upbeat and helpful with suggestions. My wife ordered their lobster omelette. The best omelette she's ever had. A generous portion of fresh lobster meat and asparagus, which she loves even with its side effect! I got their spinach omelette, which had artichoke hearts, diced tomato and garlic. Awesome! The omelettes were served with toast and their hand-made jam. Yum! Good coffee that kept flowing, thanks to our great waiter. This place isn't cheap but provides a great breakfast experience. I will definitely go back.

During my honeymoon last week in York Harbor, Maine, my husband and I hopped in our rental car and drove around the area searching for a neat place to have breakfast the next morning. We ended up about 10 minutes away in Ogunquit staring at this cute little restaurant called Amore Breakfast. When we came back the next day, I was so excited to eat. And we both agreed it was a good pick! We started off with a couple of mochas from the little Cafe Amore in the room next door. These were okay. Not as sweet as I usually like them, but a couple of raw sugars helped out a lot. We both got the specials of the day - Egg Florentine Benedict and corned beef hash. I have never had a Benedict before, so I was really excited to try one. When I cut open my egg and that delicious yolk ran out ... it was like the sun came out. The spinach was a nice additional flavor, and the hollandaise sauce was velvety and creamy good. If all Benedicts are this good, I may be in trouble! My husband had the corned beef, which is house made. He loved it. Also, we shared an order of the Blue French Toast, which was a deliciously crisp and toasty brioche covered in Maine blueberry syrup and whipped cream topping. It was one of those bites that once you had on your tongue it took all your strength not to smile and sigh like an idiot. Simply heaven. We would go back a million times before we'd ever get tired of this place.

I love this place. Comfortable, vibrant atmosphere. Service is friendly with the right level of attentive. The coffee is good and the food is deelish. I've been many times and love it all! Honestly from the Benedict to the breakfast meats, drinks, muffins and pancakes... so dang good. It ain't cheap but I dig that you get what you pay for and it is Ogunquit, people. Bon Appétit!

We had a beautiful walk to one of the favorite breakfast spots in the area. Upon our arrival everyone was friendly and gracious. Although we had to wait to be seated the wait was not long and we were offered our first cup of coffee during the wait. We had the lobster special breakfast omelette which was generously filled with lobster but lacked flavor. The homemade strawberry almond jam was awesome and for sale so purchase for home ingestion is a must. The cappuccino was very tasty, not watered down with excessive amounts of milk as is the case in most restaurants. Atmosphere was retro, clean and inviting. Overall, the meal was bland and pricey (perhaps because we had lobster) but the $2.50 extra charge to substitute raw tomato slice for toast was absurd, especially since the substitute of grilled tomato slice was $1.59. We received our check and we were charged for only one omelette . We informed the manager who was grateful for our honesty but when we questioned her about the $2.50 charge for tomato instead of $1.59 charge she merely informed us that raw tomato is more costly. For that reason along We would not go back.

The special corn beef hash was outstanding! The bananas foster French toast with strawberry almond jam was terrific ( we ended up taking some home). Check into four square for a complimentary small juice. Grab a lime Ricky and enjoy what a special place this is. The staff is a joy and the place is child friendly.

Not an honest place. Paper menu's are located as soon as you enter the door and give your name. Of course we read the menu and already picked out our breakfast. Wait time was about 25 minutes. Read the paper menu, ordered the potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce, and an order of the lemon french toast. 1. Pancakes were about the size of a softball, small but ok for my small appetite. 2. Lemon stuffed french toast was tasty but barely filled. We are still very happy at this point. THEN THE CHECK CAME. Orders were $2.00 each higher then stated in the "paper menu" Very politely called this to the attention of our waitress. She said "Oh they must be old menu's" She was a bit argumentative and said that she did give us the "real" menu's. and we did look through them. She then got the manager who came over and circled in big bold ink the teeny tiny bottom of the paper menu where it states "PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE" I thought that maybe she would just say "I am really sorry, but our prices went up in the REAL MENU but don't worry about the extra $4.00, it is our fault that we have all the paper menu's printed with the WRONG PRICES" but Noooooo, she stood her ground, showed me again where she circled prices subject to change and in turn LOST OUR BUSINESS FOREVER. They both need a lesson on right and wrong. WRONG to hand out these paper menu's with the incorrect prices in them in the first place, WRONG to be argumentative with really nice people. Skimpy breakfast and an ulcer to top it off with the attitude of the manager and a little on the waitress.

This place looked nice. The restaurants is decorated in a very retro theme however, the food speaks differently and also their prices are out of control. We are not ones to shy away from a pricey menu, but this time... Wow! We had 3 people In our party 2 adults and a 2 year old. They do not have a kids menu, so you're paying full price for a young child, who eats barely half of an adults plate. Then, the perfectly nice waitress comes around and refills your coffee on clock speed but here is the catcher, they charge you $3.00 for each time they warm your cup up... I was charged $6.00 for a mug and a half of coffee... Seriously! And there is no warning about the coffee.... The French toast is nothing special and my Husbands omelet was also nothing to write home about. All and all, a $53.00 +tip was NOT worth it! Never again!!!

My boyfriend and I had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, at 9AM on a Sunday morning. Amore Breakfast is just that awesome, or Ogunquit natives and tourists tend to be early birds! They have a shop that connects to their dining area, that has everything from home-made jams to newspapers to cookies. We bought a newspaper and read through it as we were waiting. We actually had to wait 20 minutes for a table! I don't even think NYC brunch spots are that busy at 9AM!!!! But, it was worth the wait. Their coffee is just mediocre. Nothing too spectacular. We got their Gardener's eggs benedict and their granola waffle. Their Gardener's eggs benedict was amazing! We were soooooooo protein'ed out by the end of our Maine trip and wanted some greens in our system, but we actually didn't expect much from this entree, since it was just supposed to be a grilled tomato slice, sautéed spinach and artichokes, and a few cubes of zucchini to add some crunch under two poached eggs. The dish does not come on top of an English muffin, as it should, but they will per request. We asked for the English muffin, for sustenance. The hollandaise isn't overbearing, and the vegetables are cooked just right, so they aren't too squishy or too crunchy. The home fries isn't a wet mess, which I appreciated very much. The granola waffles are okay. The granola and walnuts are mixed into the waffle mix, so it can taste just like a plain old waffle. We paid an extra $2 for their home made syrup, but I don't think it was worth it. I'll just go with their generic table syrup the next time I'm at Amore Breakfast. Please try their potato pancakes, since it is one of their specialty sides! And their banana foster if you want something sweet from the griddle!

I have eaten at Amore for breakfast on numerous occasions. Cute restaurant and great breakfast. The food is always very good. However they have trouble seating customers efficiently, so there is typically a wait despite many open tables. Also it takes a long time to receive the food once the order is placed. None of the menu items are complicated, so it shouldn't take 20-30 minutes to receive a waffle and French toast. Since there are other great breakfast options in the area, I will most likely not return to Amore.

A must-stop during your visit/stay in Ogunquit. How can you eff up breakfast? it's really hard to, and the choices here are a-plenty. And the past 2 times I've been over the last month: Top-notch. During one breakfast, I enjoyed the orange-cranberry, french-toast. Yes. As delicious as it sounds. The staff? Always so friendly. You will be pleasantly surprised. They bring out the bacon and fry it up in a pan, to perfection. You will not go wrong during your breakfast visit here. Eat. Enjoy. Leave happy!

There were spaces at the counter, but they told me there were people ahead of me and handed me an electronic pager. Ten minutes later, the same spaces were still there and there no signs of anybody making any effort to fill them. I left. Hungry.

In the center of Cute-Town (Ogunquit, Maine) was a charming little cafe, called Amore Cafe. Then right next to it was a sign that said "Amore Breakfast". Love Breakfast?? Why, YES! I DO!! The breakfast cafe was spacious, and old-fashioned, with black and white tile floors, soda pop counter, and lots of sunshine shining through the windows. The hostess approached us promptly, explained the short wait, and offered us water or coffee while we waited. A couple of seats at the counter opened up, and we opted for those. The service was crazy friendly, and I mean the sincere kind. While the place was filling up, a server had time to take us on a quick tour of the menu, pointing out some of his favorites, and some new items. I ordered a fried egg sandwich with fresh tomato, sausage, & cheddar cheese on a toasty english muffin, and a side of fresh fruit. Jeff had the Amore Benedict, which was a traditional benedict over potato pancakes. Orange Juice did come out of a soda gun.....normally that would be a HUGE turnoff for me, but for a large, busy, tourist - ridden breakfast house, I let it slide. While we waited for our meals, the counters were decorated with those little booklets "Back in 1946" or "Back in 1967" (a day in the life of another year) Interesting reading material while we waited for breakfast. Love that kind of stuff. Food was super tasty. Hot, handmade, and yes, the fruit was actually FRESH and HAND-SLICED. While Jeff's potato pancakes were a little too thick and heavy for him on a benedict, the plates were mostly empty by the end. We arrived at about 8:30 am on a Friday morning for breakfast, and sat down with close to no wait time. When we left around 9:30-10, the wait was up to 45 minutes, so I would recommend getting there early!

My god, breakfast has been perfected. It's hard to know where to begin. I visited on a Sunday for brunch during the high summer tourist season. There was a ~30minute wait, but they offer you free coffee while you wait and there is a nice patio to sit at until you get a table. Nice attention to detail and welcoming feeling. I'm a tea drinker and asked what their varieties were and the waitress brought over the box for me to pick through. Picked out a chai teabag. I got a full mug of hot water and asked her to pour a bit out to have room for milk. She brought me back the mug with some space in it and poured a serving of milk out in a separate cup. Again, well done on the listening and details. From there it was a blur. Blueberry muffin top with brown sugar crumbles? Yes. I ordered another to go at the end of the meal. Lobster, asparagus, tomato, and asiago omelette special? Giant chunks of lobster and a delicious blend of ingredients. Four chunky pieces of cinnamon raisin bread. Amazing. My brunch-mate ordered the lobster poached eggs and said that she had never seen an egg poached so perfectly. We split a side of bacon and it was as tasty and crispy as when I make it at home. No thin wimpy diner slices. Our waitress was friendly, service was great, and the decor is fun. We were tempted to lick our plates clean were it not for social stigma. We left very satisfied. I wish all breakfast places were this good.

Two words: bacon waffle. I've tried to make it at home for my son multiple times (1 hr 45 min drive to OGT prevents us from getting there more often) and he says "its just not the same" Yes, I know. We have been here many, many times over the past ten years, and will be sure to visit many more. Amore has been a staple in my son's childhood, and I have been so lucky as to try several things on the menu, all of which have been delicious! A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I took a day trip to OGT, and since then we have not stopped talking about what an amazing breakfast we had. Amore mimosas, bagel with cream cheese and salmon for me and eggs benedict with crab and asparagus for him. Simply amazing. Here are a few tips: - If you're with kids and don't like to wait, call before you leave home or your hotel and have your name put on the list (no reservations). - If you're like me and don't mind sitting outside and waiting, you can get a coffee right at the hostess stand and then bring it with you to your table. (For those of you who talked about being charged for a refill - maybe you left your first cup outside? But in 10 years, that's never happened. Ever. Coffee refills are free.) - Breakfast is loud. If you like it quiet, go to the place at the back of Perkins Cove - can't think of the name. Quiet spot to have a bite to eat or sit outside to have a coffee. But you won't get the meal that you'll get here. - There are healthy options - like tomato slices in lieu of hashbrowns. But ignore that and have a bacon waffle. See you soon, friends! Love, Kate and Sean :)

Let me tell you about Amore Breakfast! I have been going there for breakfast, ever time I'm in Ogunquit, (and it can be 4 times a summer and have been known to drive over 3 1/2 hours for a breakfast fix and the ocean) since 1999. Amore Breakfast is going on their 20 anniversary and there is a reason why. I remember that they started out on Shore Rd down by Perkins Cove and moved up next to the stone literary; and now has settled about 1/2 way down the Shore Road in a big accommodating building, and decorated in a retro atmosphere. Very nice and comfortable looking! Some my favorites are: Lobster Benedicts...just as in sounds substitute Ham for Lobster meat GREAT!! Bananas Foster..cream cheese stuffed French toast dipped in crushed pecans and covered with rum flavored maple syrup. The Oscar Madison..an omelets filled with crab meat, asparagus, with Swiss cheese and toped with béarnaise sauce!! All yummy!! And finish it with a big cup of cappuccino. The owner Leanne is a very warm and caring lady; and hopes all her guests are happy and are well taken care of! She has opened up a fund for THE DOMINICA ORPHANAGE AND SCHOOL IN LA URENA NEAR SANTO DOMINGO IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. They are so lucky to have a lady like Leanne on their side! I highly recommend Amore Breakfast to all, and have sent a vast number of Burlington Vermont people, who were very satisfied. As a matter of fact was just there 4 weeks ago, going this weekend and so far for 4 days in September. Although there are other place to eat in Ogunquit but Amore is #1 and will eat there every morning!! Remember: Amore is love! Les Allen So, Burlington VT

Let's start with the best part of the experience, which was our waiter Deuon. Excellent server, friendly and helpful. The food was good, but not great. Granted we selected two regular omelets from the menu (Mixed grill and the Primavera). They were good, but nothing special. We also split the Lemon Bread french toast. It looked good, but was also nothing special. The side of bread we got was grilled and good. It is great, however, to find a breakfast place open until 1pm. As late risers, we very much appreciated this.

Best coffee around town. Mom's smoothie was excellent as was my southwestern omelet. Dad's standard 2egg toast and bacon was very good as well. The wait was a bit longer than expected/given but all in all we will return.

Excellent food - so much lobster in the lobster Benedict and the lobster omelet special. Wait staff was super friendly, both our waiter and a "roving" hostess who answered our questions about some local attractions. The place is larger inside than you would think but parking may be a problem; there is some in back but otherwise mostly paid lots in this area.

Terrible breakfast . Egg omelet and corn beef so dry. Expensive . Watered down coffee.

I've had few places I've enjoyed more when I've eaten out for breakfast. The staff is exceptional: friendly without being annoyingly chipper in the A.M., knowledgeable, and welcoming. The decor is the same: black and white and red without being kitschy. The food balances standard breakfast fare with creative dishes. I grew up eating corned beef hash every so often, but stayed away from it as an adult - most of the time it tastes like Alpo, frankly. Not so here! I cannot recommend the corned beef hash any more highly - they make it fresh from scratch, and it is awesome. The black and blue was a tremendous dessert/ breakfast that my wife and I split to end the rest of our breakfasts. HUGE bonus points for having coffee and mugs available for folks when we wait for our meals!! P.S. - a shout out to our waiter. Male, earring, close cropped hair - exceptional. Absolutely exceptional.

Will definitely go again. Great service and atmosphere but it is the good that's the draw. My sweet sausage omelette was delicious. My wife loved it so much she bought the tshirt. Parking in the back was convenient also.

The decor grabs you. The black, white & splashes of red are refreshing & crisp! We liked the cute spot. Unfortunately we came late in the day so missed their famous breakfast - oh the menu options sound so yummy! So, we enjoyed an espresso & cappuccino respectively & purchased a local jar of blueberry jam. The service was pleasant & staff was knowledgable. The bathrooms were modern & immaculate. Hope to go for breakfast next summer.

We stopped in for a quick, early breakfast and were very pleased with our meal and the hospitality of the staff. We ate outside with our dog. We shared an omelette that was very tasty and yogurt with fruit and granola. We found the prices reasonable for the area. They also brought out water for the dog. We will go again next time we visit Ogunquit.

Very good food and excellent service. Lobster Benedict was delicious, granola waffle was good. The muffin tops that everyone raves about were good but not over-the-top as I had expected. My one complaint would be the very uncomfortable chairs. Also, they don't have pancakes. Other than that they have an excellent array of egg selections and several options for waffles. And the service was attentive and personable.

We waited one hour because of the great reviews on Yelp. Prices are high compared to similar food in the area but we were looking forward to a great meal. Our problems began with rancid, sour chocolate milk served to my 4 year old . First time I have ever experienced that in a restaurant. We then got our entrees which consisted of a bland lobster benedict with dry lobster and an uneatable tasteless vegetable omelette with overcooked soggy vegetables. All of our food was poorly presented as if thrown on an empty plate. I would suggest going to the nearby Maine Diner which serves delicious freshly cooked food at half the price without being pretentious!

Amote is one of the better eateries for breakfast in Maine. Their is a large selection of dishes. The food is good, but not outstanding. The ambience & service is outstanding.

Complacency?? Possibly. After years and years of really good food and service, maybe just maybe things are slipping with the thought that things are still as it was. Sadly, my most recent visit seems to indicate this. The 3 egg omelet, though chocked full of meat was short on egg. If indeed there were 3 eggs, they must use some of the smallest eggs found in the State of Maine. Also, the meat is not mixed into the egg, but rather folded in (like taco meat inside the shell). The cinnamon raisin bread was awesome but small as well.... dwarfed in comparison to the dish it was served in. Now that I think about it, that was the biggest disappointment seeing this huge patter coming towards me only to find it marginally covering the bottom surface. Oh, $2.35 for coffee is a total rip off!

Have always enjoyed this place as a good breakfast joint. Did they used to give out free coffee while you waited?? Maybe I'm remembering this incorrectly, but if they did, they definitely should do that again! And where did the adorable lobster pagers go?! Definitely try to come early to avoid the crowds. There is a nice patio with tons of chairs if you have to wait.
