I found this little spot driving thru town. I had breakfast. The hash was excellent and coffee was fresh and tasty. They give you a whole pot on the table. The place is cute and a favorite of the locals who had a lively banter with the waitress the day i was there. I will definitely stop in again to try the biscuits and gravy!
Best Hash ever! I still have dreams about it!
Cathy's Place is open for breakfast and lunch....closes at 1 PM.....clean and neat....pleasantly decorated.......they even had as large bottle of Purell near the cash register. The grilled chicken sandwiches were big with three layers / large pieces of chicken, a large bun, a big leaf lettuce, tomato with mayo, pickle and either potato or sweet potato fries (your choice) .......delicious. The bakery show case was full of everything from eclairs to large blueberry muffins.......
I'd give the actual food 4 stars but the atmosphere and cleanliness (or lack thereof) brings down my rating significantly. I had the general tso's chicken- yum! The egg roll and beef teriyaki were delicious as well. The chicken and broccoli was pretty gross- sketchy weird chicken. This place has five dining tables. With places to sit I'd figure they'd offer water to drink. Nope. They had some bottles in a cooler but no tap water and no ice. I thought that was really weird. The dining area is dingy, old and just plain gross. I wanted to vomit when I went into the bathroom- it was disgusting. I've been to their other restaurants- Maple Leaves in Wells and Green Leaves in York- and both of these places are clean, have good ambiance and great food. I was really disappointed with Red Leaves. Don't bother going there unless you're strictly getting take-out. And don't bother with the chicken and broccoli.
This restaurant has the best Chinese food in the area. I've ordered from here numerous times and only had the food be sub par once. Typically the food is delicious, well priced and ready in a reasonable amount of time. Overall great food for a small town Chinese restaurant but I gave it four stars because dining area is cold and uninviting. I suggest take out only.
Not the best Chinese I have had... I'm a big hot and sour soup fan and I couldn't even eat the soup from there. All and all I wouldn't go back.
Great fried seafood - my boyfriend and I always get the half & half combo and then share. Plenty of leftovers that you will be eating for a couple days! We love the fried mushrooms with their horseradish sauce, and the sweet potato fries! We'll keep going back, like usual!
A good family restaurant in an area without a lot of good restaurant choices. We love the free bread. The entrees we've had so far are pretty good too, but certainly not amazing (steak tips were pretty good, as was the chicken sandwich). Caesar salad was slightly above average. Prices are reasonable. I say give this place a shot if you find yourself in this area.
I thought this place was nice. Food and portions were really good. Service was great! Clean tables and booths, carpet needed vacuuming but it was end of night. No real complaints! Will go back!
