We stopped here during a long road trip and were a bit wary at first. The dining room was sweltering, and the carpet was dirty. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the food. The wraps and homemade chips are excellent, and the servers are very nice. For a quick lunch stop on the road, Lori's is a good choice.

Exceptional. This is the real deal. Pasta & meatballs looked amazing. Egg white scrambler was divine. Great for kids. Healthy & homemade. Fresh baked bread for sandwiches and homemade potato chips. Kids loved their grilled cheese and hot dog all on homemade bread w apple sauce on the side.

Great specials every day that are made created by Lori and not pulled from a box. Very good appetizers, breakfast, lunch and dinners, with homemade pies for dessert. Go hungry but be ready to take leftovers away. Good food, fast and priced reasonably. Bring in your own beer if you require it with your supper.

Great selection of food for this MA visitor. The Food is not processed very flavorful. Daily specials. Ands for those who prefer breakfast any time yes they do that too. Large enough the portions for two. Small restaurant with friendly staff

Great food and atmosphere. Don't expect anything but a diner. But if that's what you're looking for, this hits the spot!

Good breakfast. Good prices. Friendly staff. And besides one of the very few dinning choices if you are in Liberty, Montville, or Palermo.

Absolutely amazing! Great home cooked breakfast. I got the Texas Cinnamon Sugar french toast that was very yummie! Partner got the meat omelet and loved it. Smaller place, but adorable. Service was well attentive and nice.

We were in Maine for a week and ate here 4-5 times between breakfast and lunch! Everything we ordered, each time, was amazing! The dump truck breakfast is a must-try, especially with homemade bread! I got the grilled turkey, bacon and cheese sandwich with homemade chips! The turkey was clearly freshly carved and not lunch meat! The baked Mac & cheese was awesome and their muffins are amazing! Unfortunately I didn't get dessert but I had my eyes on the homemade pumpkin pecan pie! This place is a must try!! We had breakfast for 4 plus two additional chocolate milks (no free refills on chocolate milk) for $36! Great prices, even better food!!

Another thumbs up, way up, for Lori's Raspberry Pie. Also the pumpkin whoopee pies in the fall. Bacon in the BLT was thick, but was not crisp enough. Chewy bacon in a BLT doesn't work because when you try to take a bite of your sandwich, the whole big wad of chewy bacon all pulls out of the sandwich.

WOW! Everything fantastic. Amazing raspberry and other pies....95+% fruit, not glarpy or too sweet. Perfect crust. The best breakfast I have had in years.. Perfect eggs, perfect pancakes, perfect French toast. they make all of their breads, even the side pieces. Lovely Greek omelette, wonderful fresh ingredients, not greasy. Fried chicken, really tasty, also nongreasy. Might consider moving to Maine just to be near here.

This will not be a departure from the prior reviews. Lori's Cafe serves simply delicious comfort food. We ordered the Fried Pickles as an appetizer. The portion was impressive - and with ranch dressing for dipping, we made short work of them. The Seafood Stew (6.99 for a bowl) was outstanding and came with a creamy chowder base and enough scallops, shrimp, haddock , etc. to ensure seafood in every bite. My kids ordered chocolate chip pancakes (breakfast available all day). The children's portion was too much for my 9 year old - and he generally orders off the adult menu. The 5 year olds ate about half before running out of gas. My wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings. The sandwich was fine - but the onion rings were excellent. If you happen to be in the Liberty, ME neighborhood, it's well worth the side trip!

Staff in 2 other local businesses recommended Lori's when we asked about someplace good to eat. Lori's did not disappoint, the food was good and the prices reasonable. The fish and chips were fresh and tasty, lightly battered fish and crinkle fries. Seasoned fries and sweet potato fries are also available. My partner had liver and onions, which was perfectly done. The mashed potatoes are homemade and when the first serving arrived stone cold, the waitress whisked them away and returned with piping hot in 2 seconds, so we knew they hadn't been nuked. The first serving must have been from the wrong pot. There are booths and counter service, as well as a few tables. Lots of locals eat here, judging by the banter with the staff. The coffee was good, they also serve Pepsi products and unsweetened iced tea. Our bill for 2 meals plus beverage came to under $20. We were trying to get to the Common Ground fair, but arrived too late to do more than sit in miles of traffic. We'll try again next year and definitely stop at Lori's.

Good down home family cooking with a good sized portion at a fair price. Grilled haddock was perfectly cooked and my husband loved his smothered beef. The pumpkin pecan pie was delicious!!

My husband, two kids and I were on vacation in Maine last week. We were very hungry for lunch and seemingly in the middle of nowhere. We just had to settle for the first place we saw since everybody was grumpy and hungry. Well, lucky for us, Lori's Cafe was the first place. First of all, they are so friendly in there. Quite rare for New England, I assure you (I'm a native of MA). Secondly, the menu is huge. The girls got grilled cheese sandwiches on amazing, homemade bread. I got a burger that was cooked to medium-rare perfection. It was so juicy and flavorful, and everything that came around it was great: bun, lettuce and tomato, and awesome hand-cut potato chips. Yummy! My husband got a reuben and it had great flavor, as well. There were so many great touches, like homemade desserts (we got a delicious blueberry turnover), homemade bread, hand-cut fries and chips, and really great coffee (hot or iced, since it's New England!). It was also clean. All around, a fantastic experience, which was a great surprise. Oh, and did I mention just how low the prices were? A great bargain.

We stopped in here for lunch in the course of an extended road trip. Going East toward Mt. Desert Island it was the first restaurant we had passed for many miles. It was crowded when we came in. Service was friendly, and the various signs decorating the cafe are pretty funny. The food. Ah, the food was wonderful. My stepson had seafood chowder which was simple, loaded with fish, and delicious. He reported his BLT was very good, on homemade bread. My wife and I had burgers. Both were wonderful. Thick, rare and tasty. The homemade potato chips were terrific. The onions rings with the BLT may have been the best I have ever eaten. We had a very nice blueberry pie for desert. We asked If everything else on the menu was as good, and they said yes. I believe them.

This is a warm and well run family diner. You have the owner Lori cooking true comfort food such as cranberry walnut pancakes which are the size of dinner plates graciously served by her daughter, Danielle with a warm smile. There is plenty of well prepared food at very reasonable prices in this quaint location where you know everyone is a local as they are coming in being greeted by first names and discussing the latest storm, church or baseball game. The Maine accent is heavy in the air while patrons are chatting about the latest fishing efforts. Coffee is hot and strong and the desserts are all made right there in the kitchen and in fact you can order a pie at breakfast and pick it up that afternoon for your cookout. Easy way to impress your guests. We have stopped here and eaten numerous times and have never been disappointed in the food or the people.

A local fav. Had a burger and fries and the burger was very good. Very small about 10 tables. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

Homemade fresh food with friendly service. It's not fancy, but it's good comfort food. The bread is homemade and really yummy. And the prices are obnoxiously LOW.
