As members all say, the greens might be too slow and the pins might be placed too easily, but this remains the best golf club in southern Maine, bar none.

A great place for many different things. Breakfast is made-to order. There is very little seating, but it seems as if there is always a seat. Bonnie, the owner, is awesome. They have about 5 different flavors of coffee, made fresh and turned quickly. Locals love this place and so do vacationers (we've been going for 7 years). HB is a traditional general store, you can literally get anything there. From fresh vegetables to pop-guns. The food is very good.
Perfect place to get staples and lunch at MUCH more reasonable prices compared to the places just down the road. Very friendly staff.
This is the kind of joint you go to almost every day on vacation. If you forgot anything or need anything stop here first. This should be your first stop in town for a blueberry pie. Moderate wine selection, good coffee. Great to go breakfast and lunch. It's a provisioning store and like a sign inside says, "if you can't find it here, you don't need it." Love the place.

This place was wonderful when owned by the Bennets. Unfortunately they sold it this season. Have been there 3 times since it was sold, and today was the last. Went in today and placed what I thought was a simple order - large BLT with mayo, and large Italian with mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. It was 10:30 am and there was only 1 other person there, so not busy at all. When the lady who took my order relayed it to someone else, she forgot what the second sandwich was and asked me what I had wanted. I repeated it. Then one of the sandwich makers asked me if I wanted lettuce on the BLT. I kinda thought that was implied by the "L" in BLT. Someone else then asked me what kind of cheese in the Italian - since the menu says it comes with provolone, I didn't think to specifically order with provolone. A third person then asked me if I wanted mayo or oil on the Italian - I said mayo again. I was asked if I wanted mayo on the BLT also. When I got home, there were pickles on the Italian - spoke with a total of 4 people about this sandwich, and no one ever mentioned pickles, so this was a surprise. An even better surprise was the dead fly that was rolled up in the paper around the BLT - admittedly, not touching the sandwich, but an interesting surprise none the less. Thanks Bennets for all your wonderful sandwiches in years past, but you will not see me again.
This was, with no exaggeration, the best grinder I have ever eaten in my life... and I've eaten a lot of grinders. While I went with the Italian, there are numerous varieties to choose from, and everyone I was with was completely satisfied with their choices. They also have beer! Fresh, delicious, can't wait to come back.
The subs are no joke! The small size was huge and for $6.50 you can't complain. I got the "Hot Veggie Sub" and devoured it. The bread is so soft and delicious. Oh man, we will be back for sure

Went here on our weekend trip to Kennebunkport. A historical landmark, the inn was rather packed and bristling with travelers on a cold October night. The food was good, a mixture of Americana and lobster creative dishes. My lobster lo mein was a savory and refreshing. The cocktails were creative. Overall a good variety on the menu in an energetic, sometimes loud due to the proximity of the bar, small town new england restaurant with good innovative food.
Great lobster pot pie: very rich cream, small, one lobster claw in it. Fabulous beer batter fried green beans appetizer! Fresh homemade rolls, too. Wonderful meal! Excellent service!
Love this place! Especially early in the evening when there aren't many people in yet. You can enjoy a drink - must try "Sage Against the Machine" and listen to local conversation. The food is always excellent and the service is too! My initial visit last March was for the Lobster Pot Pie, but luckily, I've been able to return several times. The nightly specials are equally worth the trip. This time, I had Duck Cassoulet, broccoli and apple slaw and a duck pastrami slider on a homemade pretzel bun with pickled vegetables. Mercy!

Let me start off by saying that my husband and I have eaten in a variety of fine dining establishments across the county. We have been going to kennebunkport for many years and have enjoyed many fine dining experiences here and have heard of this restaurant but also it being overpriced. Their recent groupon advertisement swayed us to try. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel like second class citizens. When we sat down and presented the groupon our waiter made it abundantly clear we were not welcome. The food was good but again we have had much better/rarer food with much better service. Regardless of what we ordered we were made to feel like a burden and we were not ordering enough. There is no need to be/actPretentious if the food was able to speak for itself and there are many other more Palatable options in the area. Ps dont offer groupons if you dont want to redeem them
I took my family for a special dinner at ON THE MARSH last night. My Mom and Dad had only been a couple of times and raved about it. Now they are living in assisted living and no longer drive and so I thought it would be nice to take back to the place they so enjoyed. I had never been, but for years would drive by and yearn to go in. I wish I had. Last evening was the single most wonderful dining experience I've had an a long, long time. It was elegant, yet comfortable. The wait staff was all very professional and so attentive. You felt like royalty. And it wasn't just our table, I could see the other patrons getting the same wonderful attention. They were pleasant and friendly. My parents are elderly, so patience was required and they were so good to them. The evening from start to finish was exquisite. I just LOVE the ambience. The Grounds are peaceful and restful. And let's not forget the FOOD. MY GOD, it was delicious. Funny thing is we all ordered the same thing - Seared Scallops. They were to die for. Melt in your mouth, and a pleasure for your tastebuds. EVERYTHING was magnificant. I WILL be back. THANK YOU.
Absolutely wonderful. Great place for a romantic dinner. Food was outstanding. Lovely atmosphere and superb service.

We asked a bar tender where the locals have breakfast and he suggested All Day Breakfast . It was great. The kind of place where the waitress calls you "honey " or "sweetie ". Generous portions, bottomless cups of coffee, huge omelettes, massive pancakes. People kept coming through the door and all seemed to know each other.
Good but not amazing. My husband said his pancakes were good but spongy. Ham was pretty good. There were no gluten free breakfast options so I went with a Greek salad with chicken. The chicken was tasty but a bit salty. The dressing was very good. The staff was friendly.
Friendly staff.. Had the adb omelet which was delicious.

What a find! We've driven by dozens of times and, unfortunately, never stopped in - until today. The selections are so varied beef, chicken, pork, pastrami, corned beef and vegetarian. The cashier today, Deb, was friendly and very helpful for us 'first-timers'. The squash bisque was outstanding! This will become a regular stop. They also serve breakfast starting at 7 AM - can't wait to try it.
A small family owned deli with a huge selection of hot and cold sandwiches. Good beverage selection and two soups every day. They have plenty of seating and offer fast friendly service. Looking for some quick food, skip the chain and stop in here!
Sub was good. I would put 4 stars.. But what's up with the side? Less than 4 oz? Also the potato salad had not one once of salt or any other seasoning.. Overall not a bad place..

we were driving home (down Route 1) from northern Maine, when we went by this DQ. It was the only DQ we saw on the drive that didn't have a line a mile long so we took it as a sign to stop, get out and stretch and get an ice cream on a really hot day. Although the outside could use some sprucing up, the ice cream was awesome. We both got blizzards - my bf got a heath bar blizzard and I got an oreo cookie. We couldn't believe how much was put into the ice cream, usually when you get these they become very plain at the bottom but these were the best blizzards we've ever had, totally worth our money. If you ever drive by it - it's definitely worth a stop. as we left we realized there was also a drive-thru line. very cool.

This pizza and sandwiches are always good. One place we'll always come back to when we can't find anywhere else to eat or don't feel like going to far.
While the workers there were really cool guys, it was the worst pizza I've ever had in my life and it wasn't cheap either!
Not as great as the pizza you'd find in a bigger city, but for a vacation town Atlantic is great. This place is a vacation tradition for my family.

Finally found it. Directions from yelp for this place on maps and Verizon navigation take you into the middle of a gamers field. Be wary of the glitch. Had to find it on Google to get here. Worth the adventure. Food is great as is the service.
Monday Night Football has always been a big deal and the opening Monday Night Game of the 2015-16 season is no different...even if I am 3,000 miles from home! Staying at The Red Apple Campground, we knew we had to find "the spot" to watch the game and spotted Duffey's Tavern and Grill on the map the campground gave us. Off we went, sporting my 49er Jersey and Ellie in her Chargers Jersey (both winners this weekend and a perfect 1-0 record for each team - yeah). We arrived to the old brick building right on the River, and thought "how cool". The inside was not what we expected it to be - rather the space carved out for Duffey's was new and modern. The decor was simple with a well lit dining room and the 3-sided bar in the back with lots of TV's showcasing golf, baseball and of course our beloved Monday Night Football. The bartender was busy but found time to make us feel welcome and at home. Eventually, during halftime she spent a few minutes listening to our story of life on the road and learned from her a bit about the local area. Both Ellie and I started with a cup of their clam chowder and a shrimp cocktail. Their chowder was very creamy and buttery, full of fresh clams and potatoes. Then the shrimp cocktail was unique in that you could order based on the number of shrimp you wanted - with both had 2 and again enjoyed the freshness of shrimp paired with a nice spicy cocktail sauce. Since it was Monday Night Football I passed on the lobster roll, clams or any of their other local delicacies for an order of Buffalo Wings that were just spicy enough to make you want more without having to call out the fire department. Ellie had a Dinner Salad that was full of fresh seasonal local produce, that she enjoyed. All in all, a good place to go and enjoy a meal with the family or to go and hang out at the bar and catch 'the game' - regardless of what game that may be.
Went to the new OOB restaurant. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs and burger. Spaghetti was mushy, bland , prob precooked. Burger under cooked and it still had wrapper attached. Pointed flaws and paper to server, she shrugged it off and gave us bill. Will not return.
