Soup For You

The strength of this joint is its selection. The menu of sandwiches and soups is exhaustive, and you'd be hard-pressed to go in at any time and not find exactly what you are in the mood for. As other reviewers have said, the menu includes many options for those with specific dietary needs and restrictions, without just settling for a salad for those gluten free and vegan customers. I had a Chicken and Lentil soup, which I found to be pretty heavy-handed with the pepper, but still a solid dish My dining companions both loved their meals, and we were satisfied well until supper. I'd definitely return if I was a local for a nice, solid lunch. Worth a visit.
With a user friendly menu board clearly indicating soup ingredients and tasty wraps/sandwhiches omnivorous soupers to vegan gluten free soupers can all come together at Soup for You and enjoy a hot bowl of soup and sandwich in harmony. I find myself many a long New England winter night longing for the Chicken Barley, a soup for your soul during sickness or just because. All soups come with choice of a hearty bread or crackers. Sandwiches have something near thirty options and if that doesn't please you - make your own! Also, excellent tuna wrap (if you've seen my other reviews - you will notice a slight tuna obsession). They also have coffee/latte/espresso selections and carry juices and waters for your purchasing. If you are looking for a cost effective, healthy and extremely satisfying lunch - pop in here and make friends with the lovely people at Soup for You. They still know me by name though I've been out of college for four years now.
Soup for you is amazing! Delicious homemade soups, a huge variety of sandwiches and fruit smoothies. Very reasonably priced and good for you too. One of my favorite spots in town!

Excellent food and friendly service. Don't let the old and a little dingy appearance dissuade you. The hand cut fries are amazing!
Place is a dive. Disgusting food (unless you like the taste of 2 year old fryo-lator oil) . Flat beer served in warm glasses. Avoid!
You cannot beat the prices, a nice outdoor sitting area and great food... the wings are really good. The wait to get foood and drinks and check was a litle slow but I have only been there once so I can't judge poorly after one visit. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a yummy snack and a drink in the Farmington area.

Awesome place!! Tasty pizza great beer and nice people! Renovating the inside, lots of nice brick and white lights adding atmosphere.
My wife and I had two delicious paninis. She had the caprese and I had the roast beef. Again, both were really good. But... the beer was warm and the service was cold. When I asked for some napkins the server stated "so YOU did not get enough" with a bad attitude tone. We finally left when we took our dishes we were eating with back into the story and the lady at the counter was AGAIN rude my wife. These folks need to keep the good food and fire the server!!!!
This place rocks #alanerocks. The pizza is delicious and the staff were super friendly and it used to be an earmuff factory.

Good Thai in the middle of nowhere!
Place is diesel. 30 beers on tap, delicious curry dishes, and kareokee any night of the week? Yes please Thai smile. The portion sizes are real big so come with an appetite. The prices are a tad high but that's ok. There is a massive homies collection (the plastic figurines) lining the mantle above the bar so that's a big plus for me and hopefully you too. I can't help but mention that there is a large portrait of the owner and his wife hanging on the wall. The noise level can be a little awkward - it was really quiet when we walked in. I've eaten here on a few occasions and always gotten a curry dish. The green curry is my favorite. The spring rolls were also very good. Our server / bartender extraordinaire Derek, played a great host. He knew the menu and tap line well. On my last visit I drank Maine brewing company's Peeper and an Old Speckled Hen. This place is about as unique as I could imagine. The fact that a Thai restaurant offers a choice of 30 craft beers on the tap line yet still carries a tacky feel that I crave in a thai food experience is nothing short of special.
Great Thai food! I had the Pat Z Eww and it was one of the best ones I've ever had, and that's saying a lot because I eat a lot of Pat Z Eww. And they lady who owned the place was so sweet! It was all around a great and I definitely recommend it!

We stopped here for dinner on the way to a friend's lake house in western maine after a long day of flying from the west coast and eating junk food in airports - so we were ready to sit down and have some good Maine home-cookin'. The ambiance was nice - there was an older lady playing a piano, and a few people at the small bar on the one side of the restaurant - clearly lots of locals. The menu was actually pretty extensive, ranging from what you'd expect (seafood, "comfort" food, burgers) to the not-so-expected (mexican, italian). There was a good kids menu to standard fare, and unlike most restaurants actually offered a kids salad. They had a few beers on tap. I had the fish-n-chips and my wife had the chicken pie. She was happy with hers, and wolfed it down. The fish-n-chips were just "meh" - it was only one medium sized piece of fish and alot of fries. The fish was very tender, but not very tasty and a bit greasy. Overall, it was good, not great. I'd probably try some other places in town before coming back.
We had a function in the backroom and it served us well. The service was good and we enjoyed ourselves. Menu was diverse and everyone found something they enjoyed; I heard no complaints. I look forward to dinning there in a regular table to see if the service is consistent.
Spent this afternoon in a Farmington and decided to stop by for lunch. We were disappointed in both the food and service. Our waiter greeted us...took our order 10 minutes later and we did not see him again until our meals were dropped off 47 minutes after we ordered them. My husband and I had our empty drinks sitting at the end of the table for over half an hour. The food was average at best. The BLT on their 'homemade' white bread appeared to be on store bought toast and given the wait we figured the sandwich would be a little better than two slices of broken up bacon with some lettuce and tomato. I hope that others don't share this experience. I think they need more help in both the kitchen and on the restaurant floor for weekend lunches.

Friendly great service and homey atmosphere! We had the 'Drunkin' Mussles' to start. They have two for $20 specials throughout the week. They smoke their own BBQ. We are definitely going back!
Driving home from Sugarloaf my friends and I are looking for a diner or some family owned restaurant. We saw GrantLee's Tavern & Grill and said this is the place. Tow of us got the pulled pork plate. It was great pulled pork although a little different. It was bigger pieces then I am typically used to but great flavor. Also it had those little bits of burn/caramelized meat that you got to have in good BBQ. GrantLee's makes there own BBQ sauces. There are 5 to choose from. One was called "Carolina" style. This BBQ sauce was NOT Carolina style but overall the sauces were great. Another one of us got Ribs. Simply put these were probably the best ribs I have ever had in my life, no exaggeration. It also should be noted that their coleslaw was amazing. I am not a big coleslaw guy but GL's slaw stood out. Perfect flavor, texture and crunch. Finally I was extremely happy about the fact that they had sweet tea. I lived in North Carolina and love sweet tea. Any time I see it on the menu I always order it. If you are in the area I highly suggest checking out GrantLee's.
Who would think to get great BBQ in Farmington! The BBQ brisket sandwich I had was amazing, along with the choices of BBQ sauces on the table, they range from smokey, spicy, original, and sweet. Of course we had to try them all. The atmosphere was awesome, it was all civil war memorabilia, especially about General Lee. If you are hungry it is a must to stop here!

Not a bad spot, in a pinch: Steak and cheese sub: good, not exceptional Chicken cutlet sub: quite good Service: very slow, over 30 minutes for two sandwiches to be served with no other customers but fairly nice people Price: OK, around $20 for two to eat with soft drinks and chips Meh...just OK
If you're into cheeseburger grinders, this is the place to go. If you don't know what those are, your heart is probably thanking you just about now - but that's OK. One doesn't always need to be kind to one's heart. Staff is generally well mannered and competent, which makes for ease in requesting bizarre grinder modifications: Cheeseburger grinder, all the veg, pastrami, extra cheese, extra mayo? They can do that. Price goes up a touch on the grinder, but it's worth it. Pizza... Decent if you like heavy on the cheese. If you grew up on thin crust, light cheese, light sauce - this isn't your place to go. Soda in their cooler, but it's cheaper to walk a short distance and nab soda from the cooler of one of the local stores or stop in at Cumberland Farms and nab some there. Not a fan of most of the rest of their foods, but the pizzas and grinders keep me coming back.
Good but expensive. With that said they give huge portions i don't like to over eat so it was kind of a waste for me. If your trying to eat healthy go else where its very greasy and pretty much everything on the menu is loaded with cheap cheese. Taste is good not great would go again if i needed a piece of pizza in farmington.

It's a Pizza Hut. See the photo I posted for a glimpse into my birthday experience ordering from there. A sad, uncut pizza that tasted awful. We didn't even bother cutting it because it was horrendous. Sad days. Happy birthday to me. I ate there a couple of other times and the service was alright and the pizza was alright. The Pepsi was good.
