Emil and Helen always come thru today we were at an event and there cupcakes were off the chart delicious!!! Don't hesitate to get all of your cakes and pastries for home or functions from there bakery you will not be disappointed.
Delicious pastries and cupcakes. Try the salted Carmel cupcake! They are so good. I expected it to be a little fancier with a name like "European Bakery and Tea Room" and Was surprised to walk in and see a high schooler wearing sports clothes behind the register.
Have gotten wonderful birthday cakes here over many years of vacationing on the Maine coast. Have had quite a variety and all the cakes have been delicious . Highly recommend the Opera torte, the Marzipan torte and the Princess Torte . I can't say I have had better in Europe

If you're looking for the perfect Thai food. This Is the garunteed place to go! When you enter the area. You are instantly greeted with great flora. With waiting chairs(which you won't need. The waiters are super-speed!). Aquariums. And a menu before you even get in the waiting room! First comes the appetizer. Which happens after you meet the funny & friendly staff. I ordered the butterfly dumplings and corn fritters. Basically it was all Perfect! Plus. the dip was great! It was light and juicy. Then came THE meal. A big. Juicy meal of noodles and a bowl of rice. Both of which were fascinating. And I was so happy by the place I suggested it to my friends! Well. Go here! Stay awhile!
I stopped into this little place tucked away in Falmouth by myself as my family was out of town and I had just gotten done with a full day of work and I was super surprised with how much I liked this place. Ambiance can be both a sit down dinner type of place and also can be a nice romantic place to take that special someone for a date. The back wall of the dining area is a lit wall of water and the kitchen is open for people to see what is going on but not right on top of the guests trying to eat and chat. I started off with the steamed dumplings that were covered with a coconut sauce that was to die for. The dumplings were not too chewy and were light and refreshing and wanted 6-7 more after I got done with the first batch. The coconut sauce drizzled over the top was not too sweet but added some depth to the dumplings. I then dove into the chicken pad thai and it was amazing. The presentation was superb and the dish itself was a healthy portion for the price and it was fresh and delicious. Literally some of the best pad thai that I have had in the Portland area and I have tried it many places. The service was prompt never letting my glass of water get down to the halfway point and my beer was refilled quickly also. If you are looking for a place outside of the hustle and bustle of Portland or dont want to be crowded by the hipsters, then drive small skip over to Falmouth and try this place, I think you will like it.
As far as I am concerned, this is the best Thai food in the area. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. I have been here several times for dine-in and also for take-out. It was first recommended to me by a friend but since it wasn't downtown Portland, I kind of forgot about it for while. I wish I hadn't! As soon as I want and saw "pumpkin curry" on the menu, I was sold. (BTW, it is delicious and I highly recommend it!) I have had several noodle dishes and curries that have all been great and their mango sticky rice dessert is awesome! As a vegan, I was happy to see that they can substitute any of their sauces for a vegetarian sauce, instead of a sauce with fish in it. They also offer gluten-free soy sauce upon request. They offer many dishes with tofu or vegetables and her always seemed happy to answer question for me about ingredients if I have any. As far as take-out goes, the wait is never very long and the staff is very pleasant on the phone. This is definitely a go-to spot for us on take-out night. The ONLY thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars is this: twice, I have been here for dinner and have stayed for awhile chatting with friends (total dinner and chatting time of about 2 hours or so). The staff has always said it was fine and there were never people waiting for tables (nor was it almost closing time). But the staff were cleaning the floors around us repeatedly and even filling the salt and pepper shakers on our tables while we were sitting there (while saying to us that they were in no hurry and that we could stay as long as we wanted-- mixed signals!). I just found this uncomfortable. If it had happened once, I still would have given this place 5 stars and chalked it up to a full moon or something, but it did happen twice. Overall, don't miss this place. The food is awesome!!

L&S Sandwich and Flu Chaser Chicken Soup - My god... the Flu Chaser Chicken Soup will bring life and love back into your life - it is truly divine. Brothy, loads of herbs, seasonings and love. I also had the L&S roast beef sandwich - copious amounts of thin shaved beef on soft bread. Yes, it's love. Very helpful and pleasant staff/owners.
A friend brought us here after visiting the maine audubon society just down the road. (highly recommend going there as well))Fresh bread and wonderful sandwiches.
Out if lobster but picked up their "Bessie" sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Nice lady brought our food to our table outside.

Three of us had dinner. I had the hanger steak with port wine sauce. Steak had nice grill flavor and the sauce was excellent. My wife had the salmon and she liked it very much. My mother-in-law had the scallops and she enjoyed those. I had 3 ipa's and enjoyed those. We used to go to this restauraunt when it was the falmouth sea grill but then it was bought out and it was awful. But all 3 of us enjoyed our meal. Two of us had green beans and mashed potatoes as sides and there was plenty of beans and plenty of potatoes. Very nice. We will be back.
Crab cake Benedict and a beautiful Sturdivant Stargazer make for a beautiful Sunday morning. We had a wonderful meal, it was a beautiful snowy ocean view (and it's twice as beautiful in the summer), the music was really good, and we could not have been more pleased. Our server was also the bartender, she was super attentive and helpful though we were seated at a table. My drink (the most important part of brunch) was house-infused vanilla whiskey with hard cider and bitters - I was apprehensive but it was amazing. And I am fussy. They have tons of gluten-free, vegetarian, and meat-type stuff for those who enjoy such things. Definitely recommended.
Went to Dockside Grill recently for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful, as are the views. Our dinner was delicious, we had the shrimp scampi and the haddock. The reason for only 3 stars is that the service was unimpressive. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed- perhaps she was new or stretched thin? Our food actually arrived before our beverages, and we had to ask for the bread that was brought to all the tables around us. It was hard to get her attention throughout the meal- I think another member of the waitstaff dealt with our check. I might return as the food was good and the service seemed a hiccup.

Much better than a year ago when we gave it 3 stars. It's now easily the best pizza in Falmouth, Yarmouth, and Freeport. Pizza is fresh, thin. Cheese and sauce are slightly tangy and very tasty. Our large with mushroom and pepperoni was a bit too watery (too much sauce) so they graciously comped that and thanks us for the feedback. Only other feedback would be to have bread an olive oil at the table -- the rolls they gave out were cold and a bit on the dry side and just came with butter. Note that the pic is of an equally hard roll from over a year ago... We will be back.
This pizza house does pizza right, we have tried the other items on the menu but it's the pizza folks that really shines here, so we don't bother with the rest. The service is always a little spotty and the place is a little too noisy for us old folks. So....here's what we do, after we're seated we immediately order our pizza (we know exactly what we want) and a couple of beers and a couple of waters. When she/he brings our pizza we ask for the check and pay. Then we enjoy our meal and stay as long as our ears can stand the din of screaming and running around children. Works every time. Great place for a good pizza......that's it.
I love the pizza here! We tried the Grecian and it was great...spinach, sausage and feta. The sauce is chunky and fresh and the pizza is cooked in a brick oven to perfection. The service was friendly and fast and the restaurant has to be the nicest pizza place around. I always look forward to trips to Falmouth to grab one of their amazing Pizzas!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here last Friday evening. We walked in and were greeted by lovely piano music...to find out it was Jim Ciampi, our wedding band, who we loved, and he plays there Wednesdays and Fridays. We sat at the bar and him and a vocalist played our wedding song. This was touching and such a warm welcome to this lovely establishment. We ordered a bottle of wine and the appetizer special - it was a eggplant roll. It was delicious, however we really did not need it after the amazing pesto bread they brought out. Salad was also included in our meal. The spacing between dishes was perfect to make more room for the main course! I had the Gorgonzola fettuccine with chicken and my husband had an all time favorite of his, veal Parmesan. Both were very large servings, and delicious. I am the type of person that really needs to be in the mood for italian, its just not my go to meal, but I would eat here weekly after our meal and the service. Such a great experience I look forward to our next visit!
My boyfriend and I jut had an absolutely wonderful first experience at Hug's last night! We went for Maine Restaurant Week, so we had a 3-course meal for $35 a head. The options on the menu all seemed delicious, and neither of us regretted anything we chose. We walked away *very* full and pleased with both food and service. I personally had the Havarti Fritter, the Chicken Parmesan, and the Chocolate Chip Canoli. My boyfriend had the Meatball, Chicken Limone, and Chocolate Chip Canoli (which he's just never had... weirdo). We started with the pesto bread and salad, which always comes with each meal. The pesto was wonderfully flavorful, but just a tad soggy for my tastes. The salad was also very fresh and wonderful, and adequately dressed. So far, so good! Then, we got our appetizers, and holy smokes! We shared bits and pieces of the entire meal, and I would have gotten anything on the menu it was all so good! The meatball had a very fresh flavor, and a delicate texture, which is a nice change from the more dense & heavy meatballs I'm used to having in restaurants. The fritter was also absolutely delicious... but I don't honestly think you can go wrong with a fried cheese. The main courses were also full of flavor, but my one recommendation would be to just lighten up on the red sauce for the chicken parmesan just a tad.... I felt as if my food was swimming around in sauce. The chicken limone also had a very flavorful, yet light sauce (it was quite lemony!). Definitely more appropriate for the size of the dish. And the canoli to finish everything off? Wowza! I loved it. I haven't had a canolo that I have legitimately enjoyed since I came home from a trip to Italy... so this was a pleasant surprise! Overall, I am SUPER impressed with Hug's. The dining room was super cozy and beautiful... the candles are actually real (which is a nice change), but I wish there were a few of those light-reducing shades (You know.. the kind you see on busses? Something along those lines, but nicer...), because I definitely got hit in the eyes with bright headlights a number of times during my meal. I will definitely be going again, and with a goal to try all sorts of new things. Good job, Hug's!
A misnomer! Just butter sauce & over cooked shrimp. The pasta was just right though. Waitress was unconcerned. Heard nothing back from the kitchen. Second time @ both Hugs locations. Dissatisfied each time, but encouraged me to make my own lasagna and my own shrimp scampi which both came out very good.

As I was reading the previous reviews of Bernie's I will tell you that I was completely surprised. My wife and my family have been to this little establishment many times and have never been disappointed by the food here. The restaurant is a good mix of home made breakfast and diner style food to some delicious and light fare during the lunch hours. Yesterday, the wife and I dove into a delicious BLT that was both large, fresh and had a layer of fresh green and delicious avacado to top off the BLT. The fries that we got with our sandwiches were hand cut and delicious. The bacon was hearty and the tomatoes were beefy. Now, I know we could have been more adventurous but we were feeling a bit healthier than my mormal rueben sandwich or the eggs benedict that we have had at breakfast time inthe past. The only reason for there not being 5 full orange and white stars was the simple fact that the service could be a little friendlier and inviting but I think that the concept is one that is of a diner feel and they are there to take the orders quick, deliver the delicious food quick and get the next customers into the seats right behind. The bathrooms are always very clean and the restaurant is extrmely tidy and immaculate and you can smell the delicious bagels that they are slinging next door. If you are looking for a quick brunch bite while roaming around the Falmouth area, then stop in here and try this little place, I dont think you will be disappointed.
My two star rating is ONLY for the mister bagel side of Bernie's; I have not eaten at the restaurant side enough to give an informed review of that side of the establishment. The Mister Bagel side of Bernie's Foreside has great food. I've never been disappointed with the bagels and breakfast sandwiches I've ordered from them. Unfortunately, nothing else is good. First, their customer service is lacking. I admit, I am a strange eater and order sandwiches that are not on the board (toasted bagel with butter, egg whites, spinach and tomato) but I don't think glaring at me when I'm ordering is appropriate. I always get unpleasant vibes when I'm interacting with their staff. It's not fun. Second, their food always seems to run out. I've left so many times without my sandwich because they are out of bagels or veggies. I've also seen handwritten signs on the door that said they closed early because they ran out of bagels- one time it was before 1pm, a few other times it was before noon. One time it was before 11am!!! It seemed like no matter how early I woke up I could never make it (I work nights and can't really get up and drive to Falmouth before 10am). This is quite frustrating to me since their hours say they are open until 2. Either change your hours or make enough bagels to last until your posted closing time. Lastly, the parking is terrible. If you find a spot in the front of the store you often have to maneuver around other drivers that aren't paying attention. There have even been times when the front and side parking spots are all taken and I've decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Overall, this place makes my favorite personalized breakfast sandwich, but the experience makes me go elsewhere. I stopped going here for bagels in the fall of 2014 and don't plan to return. Too much of a hassle and lots of wasted time.
Venues is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast, the food and service is always great and welcoming. Score 8

If you are looking for some really good Za, then this is your kind of place. The Pizza is always hot and the other food is so good. It is set up like a large cafeteria with large tables where you can bring the entire family if you are looking for a place that is kid friendly. The only drawback from the times that we have gone is the service. It seems sometimes the girls that work there are more interested in their cell phones and popularity than really focusing on the customer. The only other part of poor feedback was the fact that they were specifically asked if there was no olive oil or olive products on the pizza that we ordered and they vehemently said that it has no olive on it. My mother-in-law then started to break out in hives due to her allergies. Luckily it was not too prevalent in the pizza so only a slight reaction but this could be bad in the future for people with allergies .. know your food. Other than those, the pies are delicious and the salads are to die for especially the greek style salad. Little bit pricy but they can get away with it because none of the pizza parlors deliver to Falmouth so they have a monopoly with the Za around town.
I have gone to the fhp too many times and each time I am always disappointed. Service is really bad and the food worse, I am not sure how you can get anything greasier than what the put out for food. Score 1
Maybe I'm a bit of a snob, but I've never been impressed with the pizza here. It's always tasted a bit on the plastic side to me. Even their salads are extremely subpar. Aside from the food, the tables always have crumbs on them and the staff is unfriendly. If you really need to get some pizza, it's worth the extra 15 minute drive down to Portland House or even down the street to ricetta's.

Had a business meeting here yesterday afternoon and - you know what? - the service was quite good in comparison. Must have been second shift. I think they favour the drive-through unfortunately, because two iced coffees took over five minutes to make.
This isn't exactly the best Starbucks I've been to! I'd go here specifically for a last resort. Before you enter the area. You see that there is not at all any exterior decorations... Just an arch. Sorry. No neat Starbucks wallpaper. Just a tan. Plain one. And when you enter the area. you see the crowded... Just CROWDED place full of people! But the seating is already pretty cramped. With very few places to sit. And if you want to know how nice the staff is . When were up for our order. The staff was chatting with another waitress all the time! When we finally got a chance to order. The waitress was hardly smiling. And when we ordered. She said that's not how we order. Okay... Great... We tried again. It worked. Phew. The only positive is that you can get your drink through the booths. And not sit and wait for it. So we had the meal. It clearly wasn't very well made! It tasted weak and not good! Overall. This isn't the place to go! Go here only if you have to. Sorry. Starbucks. But this is my least favorite.
This might be the slowest Starbucks ever. It pains me to write a two star review and honestly, I'm being generous. The service could not be any slower. You would think they would be quick given that they have so many people working, but no, they are not. I don't even drink coffee anymore so the fact that it took about 15 minutes to get a tea, my husband's mocha, and a chai for my mother in-law is ridiculous....especially since it wasn't that busy. I used to be a Starbucks groupie, but if this had been my home Starbucks, I would have quit the addiction about a decade ago. My experience today made me wish that I had gotten a receipt with a random survey on it. Starbucks is generally consistent but this place is bringing down the average. Sorry.
