I was constantly being advised to try Lisa's and after several months of putting it off, my husband & I went. It was great service, good food & a very comfortable atmosphere. The waitress continually interacted with our 18-month old son & checked on our table consistently. I definitely plan to return!

Great place for breakfast lunch or dinner. The pancakes are big as dinner plates and soft fluffy and delicious. The home fries with onions are the perfect addition to the chocolate chip pancakes. They even serve alcohol in the morning which is awesome after a long night shift. The honey chicken sandwhich is one of my favorite dishes there. It is a little messy by so good. The staff are the best. They are so friendly and patient even during those times we can't stop chatting and decide what to order. They answer any questions about the menu and are quick to keep drinks refilled.

Wife and I went on a Friday night for dinner we both had the prime rib it was great . The waiter had seven tables to serve and still gave us great service . the building is old and well kept and very clean. so go on a Friday night and have the prime rib . Just good old style home cooking .

Great place to grab dinner. I have been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed. Good food and excellent service. Portions are always good as well. I hear breakfast is also great and the pancakes are massive and delicious. I always like supporting local business and Lisa's is one that will see me again.

I went to the lounge with a group of friends. Mediocre dive but it was very crowded on the Friday night I was there. The band and sound weren't great (that's not Lisa's fault, though). I try to eat healthy so my choices were limited. I opted for grilled chicken and veggies and it was all cooked well and tasted good. The wait staff was very friendly. Probably won't go again unless the group suggests it.

I drove by probably at least a dozen times and saw the "New chef, new menu" sign before I finally decided to take my family here. We got there at 7pm for dinner and we were the ONLY people in the dining room which tempered my expectations a bit. The food was seriously underwhelming and the dining room looks outdated and tacky. The server was nice and in a good mood. However I had to leave the dining room to find her on the bar side to get my check. We ordered chicken fingers for the little one. They were dry. I ordered french onion soup which was bland and a reuben which was just thrown together like it was McDonalds. My wife ordered a chicken wrap which had her throwing up just hours later. Not good.

I've been to Lisa's a number of times in the past few months during my lunchbreak, and I have always liked what I've ordered. It's fresh, and the service is quick. I've never gone during the dinner rush, so I can't really compare it to other times of the day, however I have always had a pleasant experience when dining there. A couple of negatives: the decor could use a little updating, but it's certainly not horrible. Also, we've walked in only to have to wait for the server to come out & seat us. I have always attributed that to the fact that you're running a catering business alongside the restaurant and you're most likely prepping for that. Keep up the good work! I'll be back for sure :)

Stopped by for lunch on a whim, and the food was pretty good! I enjoyed the chicken sandwich with cream cheese and habanero jelly. Deliciously spicy! Based on the food alone, I'd have no troubles giving it 4 stars. Also, our waitress was super nice. However... The outside of the restaurant doesn't look well taken care of. Slightly dirty, cracked paint, etc. The atmosphere inside is less like a nice restaurant and more like your local pub/bar/tavern. Not a big deal, just a warning. Here's my main beef... it was a beautiful day, so when our waitress mentioned it, we opted to sit outside in "the patio." The patio consists of about 8 plastic picnic tables. One table had a guy chain smoking and reading the newspaper. Another table had a bunch of local riff-raff drinking their noon-time Bud Lites without their shirts on. Honestly, I don't require the classiest of atmospheres, it kind of killed the whole experience for me.

I attended a wedding catered by Lisa's this weekend and the food was terrible. How can you mess up kabobs? Seriously? The chicken was SO over-cooked that it was mushy and inedible. The beef was cooked right but under-seasoned an none of it was hot. Oh, and if you're going to set stuff out for kids, maybe mark it? Otherwise, don't yell at me when I get potato wedges. Their bartender also came way under-stocked and couldn't make many of the drinks requested (like a simple cosmo) and very over-priced. The father of the bride was really disappointed.

We stumbled upon this place and were very glad we did so. The service was excellent, and the food was tasty. We will definitely be back. The owner, Lisa, was wonderful and really made us feel welcome.

Great for breakfast! Servers were very friendly, portions were on the large side, prices were very reasonable, and the raspberry pancakes were delicious.

absolutely horrible dining experience.. the place itself is dingy and tacky- it looks run down and sketchy from the outside, dated and shabby on the inside. service for the most part was good. our waitress was very friendly and quick, however she forgot to bring out a side order and still charged us for it. the food itself was awful. i ordered a california blt (bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avacado), pretty hard to screw up... the avacado was either totally mushy or still partly frozen - absolutely not fresh. i'm not one for mayo and forgot to ask for the sandwich without it, but it was almost impossible to scrape off or ignore. within 10 minutes of leaving the restaurant, the meal came right back up. it was awful. all in all, we had a horrible dining experience at Lisa's.

We have been here a few times with a couple different experiences, so I'll make this short. The food here is okay, but nothing jumps out, many of the items seem dreary and out dated. The decor needs an update and just feels run down. I guess what bothered me the most was charging top dollar for food I could just make at home. Not a horrible experience, just underwhelming.

This is the place to go if you want a GREAT drink with friends. My few favorite things to have are extra crispy teriyaki winds w/veggies, wraps, steak tips, stir fry, hand cut fries...... I could keep going. The staff is great and always greets you when you come in. They want everyone to feel like family and try hard to make that happen. When Lisa is in the house & not catering she always comes to your table to say hi. I try to stop in every Friday night to see the locals and hear the entertainment. It's a place you can be yourself, enjoy food/ drinks and visit with friends. See you all Friday!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
