Pho D’lite Menu

Came here on a Saturday afternoon, a little past the lunch rush hour. Fairly quick service but nothing remarkable. Keeping in mind that there's not many choices for pho around and I was really craving it... I got the Pho Soup Creation and aside from the soup being on the bland side, it was pretty good. (It was nothing a little Sriracha couldn't improve.) Noodles could have been a little less lumped together. My boyfriend's first pho experience ever and he said it was okay but it didn't blow him away. Chicken satay was okay but the peanut sauce in top was too sweet for my preferences. Didn't use the cucumber sauce/mix provided so I can't comment on that.

You know that moment when you eat somewhere and the food is so good that you're still thinking about it the next day? Have a bowl of pho chicken from pho dlite and you will experience that sensation! Yum!

100% agree with Bradley N. I had the veg broth, a pho rarity, but they (& us) would be better served if they just didn't offer it. It would be best described as tasting like...warm water. Beau said his beef broth was barely better. As many others mentioned, service was in the "couldn't give less of a *&%#" realm. Sadly, I'm unaware of anywhere else around Waldorf to get pho...y'hear me folks?! Market's ripe!

The food here is incredible. I love how quickly the food comes out and always tastes perfect. This is a family favorite for my teenage daughters.

We have visited this place 2 more times since my initial review. On our most recent visit, they were pretty busy. We were seated quickly and got drinks ok. Both my husband and I ordered appetizers and pho from our waitress. The appetizers didn't come. We told another one of the waitresses who stopped by that we hadn't gotten our appetizers, and she went to correct it. They still didn't come. We watched other tables get their IDENTICAL APPETIZERS and ours still didn't come. Our entrees were delivered by another waitress. We told her again that we hadn't gotten our apps and didn't want them any longer. Food was fine. The check was delivered and the appetizers were still on it, even though we hadn't gotten them. We got that corrected, but it was still very irritating. On our other visit, much the same thing happened. Ordered, appetizers didn't come, entrees came, then appetizers. Once again, very irritating. I bought a Groupon to this restaurant but I don't think I'll be using it. I'm that displeased. Will not return, even though the food is decent.

The Pho is horrible. I really can't explain how bad it was because I just poked it around in the bowl. I bought a Groupon for this place and I really wish I hadn't. I felt bad for bringing my husband here because it was SO bland. Never again.

Just came yesterday afternoon with two friends (one of them my travel buddy!) and by the time I stepped inside for the first time and was greeted with a very pleasant odor of food being cooked, I knew I was in for a treat!!! We ordered two Fresh Shrimp Summer Rolls and I was surprised at how soft yet sticky it was but it had incredible durability in spite of its fragile looking appearance. The accompanying peanut sauce was definitely on point too! All three of us later ordered the Pho Veggie (Pho Chay) and when it was delivered, the smell was like something straight out of Heaven or the streets of Vietnam...Maybe both LOL! I ordered mine along with an extra bowl of noodles. The vegetarian broth alone tasted like I just drank the Holy Grail....Every food item in my bowl had a delicious taste even the fried tofu! (I'm not a vegetarian/vegan but I'm always open to tasting many different cuisines in different cultures, and I consider vegetarianism and veganism to be two cultures :)) We also added sriracha sauce and another sauce who's name escapes me (it was a dark sauce, both sauces can be found on the tables) and it elevated the taste of the pho even more so (I'd recommend adding the two sauces on the tip of your chopsticks or in the large spoon instead of adding them in the bowl. Could be a good way to test your taste buds on whether or not you think the sauces will be a nice combo with your pho). Service was REALLY quick yet efficient and the waiting staff and customer service were very friendly and attentive. It was also the first time I tried my hand at chopsticks more seriously. Thanks to the help of my friends, I was able to get the hang of it!!! Still a novice tough lol :D Will definitely be coming back!!!

I havent had pho enough to make any REAL comparisons but my meal from here was pretty good. Quick tip.. its definitely worth the $2 to get an extra order of noodles. As long as you arent too greedy about the meat that will be more than enough for two people to enjoy. The service was rushed and "meh".. it could be because I did take out though. I just dont like feeling rushed when I go somewhere for the first time and I have never seen the menu.

I have been there a few times since it opened, both times for carry out, so I can't comment on the service. What I CAN say is this is some on the worst Vietnamese I have ever had, especially the pho! I have a lot of experience with the Vietnamese food around Arlington, VA and Little Saigon, and this cannot even compare! It is the McDonald's of Vietnamese food! The broth has no flavor, the meat is not high quality, and the noodles need serious help. If you want good Vietnamese, head north a bit towards NoVA and have fun! My faves are in the Eden Center shopping center at Wilson Blvd in Seven Corners! So worth the trip!

Great little pho place in definitely un-exotic Waldorf. Good service. Reasonable prices.

D ' lite combo...delish. Summer spring rolls are okay; I think they'd benefit from an additional flavor and texture or two...cucumber maybe? Chicken wings...meh. All in all, I really loved the d' lite combo, the place was clean, staff very friendly. I'll be back =)

I walked in to order take out for my husband and I with our nine month old baby expecting to have to wait a bit for the order to be ready. They had it ready in like five minute! I sat down started to pull out stuff to entertain the baby and it was ready, I was very impressed. Especially because it was like 7pm. There employees were very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Good food, nice size portion, and reasonably priced. I don't have any complaints about this place. I will definitely be getting more from here in the near future.

Since we moved to the area, we've been trying to find good pho/vietnamese close by. We found this place by accident when getting lost lol. The inside is nice and spacious. It has an open kitchen area. There's ample seating as well. Parking is no issue as this is located in a strip mall. The staff here is great. Shout out to Kayla for putting up with my innuendos haha! The food is good. Broth is not too oily or salty. The bun bowls are tasty as well. They give a lot of meat in the bun trio. My only wish is that they would make the fried spring rolls a little fatter and a little more meat. For the price, i feel it should have more to it. Other than that, if we are craving again, we would definitely come back if we are close by!

Second time here and I still love it! The chicken satay and the shaking beef are delicious!

A rainy night = a perfect pho date night. I ordered a P1, eye of round, flank, tripe, tendon, and etc. Give me everything :) So the broth was ok, nothing special about it and it needed the hoisin sauce and Sriracha..I feel that a good broth doesn't need much of the extras. I do have to say the portion was HUGE and I have a ton to take home! The chicken satay would have been better if they served the peanut sauce on the side. It wasn't too bad but definitely not the best I've had. It's the closest Pho place to Andrews without having to go to VA. I do think that Montgomery County and VA do have to take the trophy for best Pho. Overall, it's a decent place if you need a quick pho fix.

Just tried Pho DLite for the first time. The place was pretty good. I've eaten quite a bit of Pho in California and on my travels, and they deserve a solid four. I'll be back here again.

I'd like to consider myself somewhat of a Pho connoisseur. So perhaps I had too high of standard for their Pho. But the broth has a disgusting, lingering after taste. I'm not sure what it is or how they prepare the broth but it is the worst broth I've ever had. I have to add lots of Sirracha and Hoisin just to get it to taste decent; but it still doesn't quite completely mask that phantom-funky after taste. The summer rolls and pad thai are decent though. The staff is great as well as the atmosphere! It's just unfortunate the Pho is crap. So essentially, if you decide to eat here, order anything other than the Pho.

  • Chieh Y.

Pho isn't bad here... I liked the broth and the bowls they use for the noodle. However, I'm giving it a 3 star because the pho was good. Service was not too bad. I went around 4-5pm. They weren't busy, when I walked in, there was only one other table there. The summer roll was the let down of this restaurant. I freaking love summer rolls. I did not know you can screw them up so bad (since I've made it myself before, but I am no professional). The lettuce to shrimp and noodles ratio was terrible. It may as well just be a lettuce roll. The shrimp was cut in half so you probably get 1 and a half shrimp in each roll. Also the shrimp was super tiny. The sauce that came with the summer roll was pretty much hoisin sauce with crushed peanuts on top. I've had real peanut sauce (I'm addicted to the sauce) and what they serve is definitely not peanut sauce. I took one bite of the summer roll and could not eat it anymore. Also, the Thai tea was very bitter. :(

Service was good this is my second time eating here. The spring roll were stale and the thai basil was all bruised thats why the three stars but everything was good. Will come back.

Excellent pho, great vermicelli and rice dishes as well. The star on the appetizer menu is the butter wings. Best wings around. Service can be a little slow, but the staff is friendly and the price is good.

This place was awful. I normally go to Virginia for pho but decided to try this place. First it was incredibly dirty. Food and crumbs all over the floor and a sticky table. Secondly, the girl couldnt seem to get my order right. We ordered 2 spring rolls for the appetizer, i didnt receive it until thirty minutes after receiving my pho. Which took 45min to get? Then she had the nerve to get smart with me after telling her she got my sons order wrong. He ordered pho with chicken, after correcting her i didnt get it for another 30 min, which i had to get from another server. Needless to say i will never go there again. Terrible pho... mushy spring rolls... and the worse service ive ever received. P.s. i didnt see one vietnamese person working there. Im just saying if there were..the food would've been better. Sorry. This place was awful.

I went here for lunch today to check it out. Very clean inside and very friendly staff. Only complaint I have is we weren't greeted when we came in and there wasn't a host stand or anything that indicated we were to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. So we kinda awkwardly stood there for a minute. But anyways, the food is great and we didn't have too wait long. We ordered crispy spring rolls for an appetizer. Which we loved and even ordered a second order ( there are only two in an order lol)! I had the Pho D'lite combo it normally comes with pork and shrimp but they allowed me to substitute pork for chicken without charge. Its a bowl of white rice with chicken, shrimp a fried egg on top and a crispy spring roll, it also has some veggies on it as well. My friend had the shrimp pad Thai, she said it was every good too. We also had a groupon that allowed us to get $20 worth from only $12 so that was great as well. Let's just say my friend and I found a nice lunch spot we will be going back to......

I'm from Virginia and I've had a lot of great pho in my life , but after moving to Waldorf I can honestly say this pho d'lite was one of the best pho places I've been , the service was great everyone was very friendly and well educated on the menu , the atmosphere was very clean and the food was mind blowing , their butter wings are to die for , after my server gave his description of the wings I couldn't say no , I would recommend this place to anyone it's an easy 5 stars in my book

  • Abigail E.

The pho here is really good. I usually order the "create your own bowl" where you can choose 3 different meat but I just get the flank. It's so yummy! They only have one size of soup bowl and it's pretty huge.

This was my first visit to Pho D'lite. I decided to have lunch with a friend and try somewhere new. We were seated quickly and our waiter came over promptly. He was very polite and brought our drinks in a short turn around. I ordered the Pad Thai and Thai Tea. The Pad Thai was excellent but the lime provided was incredibly dry, offering little juice. Peanut flakes were sprinkled all over the top and noodles were cooked well. The Thai tea was a little too sweet, in my opinion. I have travelled to Thailand; Thai Tea should not be as sweet as double sweet tea. Overall, the experience was very pleasant. I will return again and recommend visiting!

4.5 stars for the broth. 2 stars for everything else. This was my second time trying out Pho D'lite and it'll probably be a while before I go back. I was SO excited to get a Pho/Vietnamese restaurant in Waldorf, especially when its sister location has such good reviews but there are a few things that they need to work out. Food: I got the #1- combination (the eye-of-round, flank, fatty brisket, tendon, tripe) The broth tastes great. The meat was okay but very where was my tripe? The tai (eye-of-round) never did fully cook in the broth and my noodles were very stuck together and would not separate without breaking- Maybe because the broth wasn't that hot? The toppings that come with the soup were old. The sprouts were turning brown, the lime edges were yellowed. We tried the summer rolls. They had about two noodles in each roll and way, way too much lettuce. The dipping sauce was a little odd & plain. The Vietnamese Iced coffee came premixed. To me that kind of takes the fun out of it. I love the ritual of waiting for it to brew then mixing the whole thing myself. The arrival of things we ordered went like this: water, pho, toppings, coffee, spring rolls. Not a horrible thing but also fixable. Atmosphere: The place looks nice and the bathrooms are clean (as they should be, as it's a new business!) Servers are seen sitting around- last time I was there a few were in uniform, sitting at a table, eating & playing on their phones in view of the manager (owner?). There is a lovely counter that would be nice to sit at (esp if the place was busy and you were eating solo) but just about the whole thing is used as a server station (flatwear trays, to-go bags/containers, busing trays, etc) I will try them again (because I love pho and they're only like a mile from my house) but I truly hope they get their act together soon!

Very Good! First of all the place looks great and the environmental scene matched the good. Service was quick with our food ready in about 15 minutes. We ordered: 1. Crispy fried egg rolls, 2. fresh shrimp summer rolls, 3. pho d'lite with sliced eye of round, flank, brisket, tendon and tripe 4. Pho meatballs 5. Vermicelli special grilled pork, shrimp and crispy egg roll. It was a lot more than we expected but overall it was well presented, fresh, and pretty darn good! Enjoy

To give you an idea of how much I dig this place, I tried it for the first time about a week and a half ago and have already returned about 4 times. This place gets it right. I haven't sat in; I always order it to go. The food is fresh and tasty. I've had the shrimp rice bowl, the summer shrimp rolls and the pho. I highly recommend each of them. Great menu - I can't wait to try some of the other dishes too. So glad that Waldorf is slowly expanding it's restaurant options. Thumbs up to Pho D'lite.

Very refreshing to have a South East Asian place in Waldorf that has great flavors and fresh ingredients. I wasn't a fan of the beef Pho Delite special (had a very gamey flavor and weird aftertaste) but liked the shrimp Pho Delite w/ beef broth, crispy egg rolls, and Pad Thai is great; we could go here weekly!

The 411: this is a pho restaurant where the pho is unimpressive and the workers either don't care or are stretched too thin to make all the customers happy. The broth: underwhelming. Not that complex or intriguing. Bland at first, boring on the way down. I usually get the large bowl with rare eye-round, soft tendon, fatty well done brisket and tripe. The toppings were not anything special. The brisket was too chewy. They gave me a garnishing plate that didn't have any bean sprouts, and it was worse when they insisted on not giving me a plate of them. Stingy service. Not much to say besides I didn't like what I ate or experienced. Probably won't be going back to that place for pho anytime soon. Bottom-line: there aren't many places to get pho in Waldorf. However, if you want people to actually care for your food and at least try to make your dining experience enjoyable, try joe's noodle shack near the mall.

Moved to Waldorf from San Diego and thought we wouldn't find a pho place, but we did. Coming here made our day after our 9 day trip across country. We ordered the P1 and young coconut juice. All met our needs and was a perfect way to warm us up from the cold day. Thank you Pho D'lite for being at our new home and being delicious at that.

  • Angelica R.

Not very good. :-( spring roll wasn't rolled very well. The last two bites I finally tasted the basil. The Pho broth was extremely bland, the chicken was pulled apart with only a minimal amount was in my bowl. I also noticed the jalapeño peppers were brown. In all two snaps down and we won't return.

  • Deanna S.

I'm so happy there is finally real pho here. This place taste so much better than the other one in the Dorf. We enjoy going to the College Park location. The broth is very tasty. The hot broth cooks the meat. Fresh bean sprouts, basil and jalapeños on the side. Pho Dlite combo was delish. Prices don't hurt your pockets. Definitely will be coming back

  • Avocado N.

Been here twice... First time was good... The second time, I ordered Pho Ga.. The broth tasted like hot water... No taste at all.. I couldn't even finish.... I asked for cilantro, they insisted it was in my pho... So they gave me more... No wonder why I didn't see it.. It was chopped up in little teeny tiny pieces.. I don't think I will be returning

  • Derick D.

Was really happy to see a Vietnamese restaurant opening soon. Went in and had their Pho D'lite, and the broth was 5/5, and meat was 4/5. I was really disappointed with the pho selection though, no combinations nor seafood, not even bun bo hue. The price of the meatball add-on was 2.50 for a small meatball cut into 5 pieces...so I won't do that again although I love having meatball with it. I will have to come back and try the vermicelli next time. Service was slow, but not terrible.

  • Steve S.

Pho was decent. Would have gave it 4stars, except service was less than pleasant. I had to ask for refills, silverware, and soup sides 5 minutes after soup was already on the table.

    (3)
  • Alexis D.

Love their Pad Thai! I always ask for a cup of vinegar to go. I haven't tried anything else. So the rating/review is just for the noodle dish.

  • Jea L.

One star for the very nice staff there; i got the PHO veggie w/ chic broth and he shrimp summer egg rolls. The egg rolls contained lettuce and shrimp, only. Sad. The chic broth taste like old dish water smells, but hot. Shudder. In short, t'was a crappy experience. PHO veggie down the drain, where it should be.

I just had an awful experience here. The food is normally good, but today I was not impressed with the service. I ordered my appetizer, chicken satay which was ok. Once my app came out, I ordered my entree. 25 mins later, no salad! I go up to register to get it to go and pay, only to find out that it was never even put in! I was livid! I got an apology but no free coupon, comp meal nothing! And they weren't even that busy! From now on I will call ahead and pick up to go. If you're on a lunch break, this isn't the place to dine in. Don't get me wrong, the pho is really good but the wait is too long. 2 stars for service.

  • Lisay J.

Really good pho!!! Great broth, and the prepare with the shaved eye of round still red--just like it's supposed to be. The owner explained this is their soft opening and would you believe it's already running like a well oiled machine (from this diner's point of view). Open concept design allows you to see right into the kitchen as the prepare your food. Great prices for pho and they're not just a noodle house--other dishes too. And the cherry on top: nice, clean bathrooms ! So glad there is another option in Waldorf when you're craving noodles.

I got take out for dinner here today. A friend of mine had been telling me I needed to try Pho she was RIGHT! The Pho here is delicious! The broth is not bland at all, the ingredients are fresh and excellent quality. The portion was huge! I couldn't finish I had the Pho D'lite, amazing. We shared the chicken satay, also delicious. And my friend had the shrimp spring rolls (she loved them). This place is gonna be my goto lunch spot. :)

This place is easily one of my favorite restaurants, the food is great the set up of the restaurant is really cool and every time I walk into the restaurant I ALWAYS expect something amazing. Pho D lite is a place I would recommend if somebody was wondering where they should go out for lunch this place is a thumbs up and a #1 in my book

We enjoyed the Bun Dac Biet ( special vermicelli bowl) and pho at this D'lite-ful addition to the Waldorf food scene! The pork vermicelli bowl was filled with fresh grilled, thinly sliced pork, chunks of crunchy egg roll, shrimp, very fresh bean sprouts, cucumber and additional veggies and perfectly cooked vermicelli. It was a large portion and is wonderful comfort food. We also enjoyed the aromatic Pho broth filled with well-cleaned tripe, large slices of beef and fresh jalapeños floating on top. The server was friendly and attentive and answered all of our menu questions. The location is convenient - we were able to get our shopping done afterwards - and the place is kid-friendly too!

I love Pho D'Lite! I come here once a week. The food is tasty and a great pick-me-up when you're not in the mood for fast food or a long sit-in kind of meal. This place is awesome for families and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The ambience is also very relaxing, especially with the decor and mixes modern with a bit of culture.

  • Mike C.

The worst pho I ever had. Vary little meat, broth are vary blend.Oh the service are even worst. I put my empty water glass on the edge of the table and the sever pass by four times and never ask if want anymore water. They charge you $1.50 for 7 thin slices of onion. And they charges you $1 for extra broth, come on $1 for some hot water, and that what their broth taste like HOT WATER. AVOID THIS PLACE

Best pho in town! The only way it cold be better is if the kitchen was run by native Viatnamese chefs.

Moving from Florida to Maryland I was expecting to not see a wide variety of places to eat from my culture. However, I was proven wrong when I stumbled upon Pho D'lite. I decided to drop by with my boyfriends family to introduce them to some of the delights I adore - pho. They had an amazing time enjoying something new. We come here regularly now (at least we try to, especially when the weathers cold). The food has always been great (lots of meat in our P1). The broth could be better but the meats tenderness makes up for it. I would recommend anyone to come here, especially on a cold day where your tummy needs some warmth!

Very good and reasonably priced. We really liked the shrimp Pho and the chicken pho was just as good. The summer rolls will always be on our "to eat" list. Keep up the good work!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Pho D'Lite. We ordered a Thai iced tea, Asian poppers, pho and vermicelli bowl - it was a ton of food for $26! The Asian poppers had a nice spicy kick, and are very different from traditional meatballs. They were mixed with tofu and deep fried, so they were creamy on the inside but super crunchy on the outside. We created our own pho with a trio of meats, and there was plenty to take home for leftovers. The broth was rich and flavorful. The pork and shrimp vermicelli bowl was yummy too - but it's not worth the extra $2 cost for only two shrimp on the whole bowl. The service was prompt and friendly! We'll definitely be back!

A little in organized...it's seat yourself but there is no one to greet you and it took forever for someone to take our order. I had to grab someone to order food. Hopefully the food makes up for lack of customer service.

It's SO nice to see high quality Pho in Waldorf. I had been going to Joe's Noodle House but recently the meat began tasting old and chewy, and the broth was getting to be too salty/fake tasting. I have been to the top two Pho places in DC and find the same quality at Pho D'Lite. I appreciate the rare steak served on top, and I found all of the cuts are very tender. The broth is very clear and tastes fresh and light, giving me a chance to really enjoy the flavor of the meat, then add a little siracha to spice it up for the noodles. I had a chance to chat with the manager and he told me they get the very best cuts of meat and slice them super thin to keep it tender. Service was not too overbearing, sure they weren't on top of me refilling water, but a simple gesture and request for a refill was quickly honored. We need to remember that Vietnamese culture with Pho is about sitting together slurping noodles, spooning and drinking the broth and enjoying the experience, not about a server hovering over your every spoonful.
