Authentic Italian family restaurant. I love this place and I always get "to go "items when I go through town. They are always prepared perfectly and seasoned. They have a large menu with all the usual pasta items and pizza, subs on great bread, and seafood. I love their lasagna. Their only flaw is they don't make their own meatballs

Rocky's is a Thurmont staple. Great pizza, very nice owners. They do a lot for the community as well. I think the secret service are fans too, when the big man is on the mtn. the parking lot always has SS vehicles.

This has always been mine and my wife's favorite pizza place. Great pizza and subs and everything else! Great service and wonderful salad bar too! Great prices too. Lunch specials are great as well, and cheap!

This was our first visit to Rocky's. I ordered antipasto and it was excellent. A huge salad with fresh mozzarella and salami, ham, cheese, artichoke hearts, olives, etc. Husband got a small pizza with several toppings and he almost didn't have any left to take home, it was so good. When we arrived, all available tables were dirty and we had to wait for one to be cleaned. Wait time for the food was average. Waitress was nice and not over-attentive. Decor needs some definite updating. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely go back again.

Excellent Italian food and BEST pizza anywhere! Always packed because the food is so good. Owners are friendly (real Italians!) and great hosts. The do a lot for the community too.

First, pizza is great. Not denying that, at all. Second, delivery time and customer service is horrible, absolute joke. I'd give 0 stars if they'd let me. I asked to speak to the owner about how delayed 2 straight orders were and how bad the customer service was, but he refused. Instead of speaking to me like a businessman (or man), he showed his Napoleon complex, and asked the 4 armed military servicemen to speak to me outside. When they were brought up to speed, they realized what a gutless man the owner is and "allowed" me to leave. In summary, great good, but below the worst imaginable customer service and values.

Pizza was good! Nice flavor, new york type crust, and yummy. Penne Primavera was good but could have used a lot more sauce on it and the breadsticks that came with it were so hard i couldnt even eat them. Hamburger sub is seriously just that. Its a hamburger on a sub. Two meat patties cut in half to fit in the bun and topped with your choice of toppings. Steak and cheese sub was yummy and so was the turkey sub. The stromboli was ok. Mother in law asked for no sauce on it since she hates tomatoes. She opens the box and there was a side of pizza sauce that had fell over and opened up. Pizza sause ALL OVER the corner of the box, luckily it didnt touch her stromboli lol. She said the stromboli was ok but the dough was chewy and it seems a bit over done. We were told it would be about 30-45 minutes for delivery and we were not given a total. Delivery took closer to a little over an hour but everything was still warm.

Nice place to take kids, family friendly. Seat yourself on entry. Service is friendly and attentive, sometimes a little spotty when really busy. All I can say is the cheesesteak with everything is awesome. Get it with the hot peppers, too, you won't regret it. First time I ordered one I was unprepared for how gigantic it was. Save yourself the heartache of a half eaten sub that doesn't box up well (no cheesesteak tastes good reheated the next day, no matter where you get it) and order the 6 inch... Enjoy!

The portions are huge. They are big enough to share between two people. I had the spaghetti and meatballs entree and it was sooo good!

Excellent food , but be warned-- portions are huge! Family had the pizza, steak & cheese, spaghetti, and meatball sub. Everybody loved it. Will be stopping again!

Of all the NY style pizza joints in Frederick County, and of those within a 15 min drive of my house, I'd say I like Rocky's the most when it comes to NY style pizza. And there is an abundance of New York style pizza joints in northern Frederick County. I don't know, maybe cause my mother's family is all from New York, I have an idea of what a true New York pizza is suppose to taste like, of course being born in Pittsburgh, maybe I don't--however Rocky's seems to be what I recall from my family outings in the Big Apple. On my last dine-in visit, I went with a simple order, two slices of cheese pizza ($1.50) and a Mellow Yellow. ($1.25) With pizza, I love toppings, but when it comes to a review, if one can not master a plain cheese pizza, then no amount of toppings in the world can cover up a bad pizza. The wait time was relatively short. And within a few minutes, two piping hot slices found their way on to my plate. The waitress was polite and asked how things were so far. Granted just receiving the pizza it was a bit hard to answer. The first thing I usually notice and is also the first thing I am critical of when ordering pizza by the slice at a pizza shop is this terrible pitfall places have of cooking an entire pizza. After it has been baked, the chef places it in a glass case, later removing those slices and re-firing them in the oven when each order comes in for a single slice. This of course makes a twice baked pizza resulting in an overall stale taste. From a cost perspective this makes good finial sense, but from a quality standpoint, it makes for a terrible dining experience. However this has not been the case on any of my past trips to Rocky's, and Rocky's has always shown a certain level of quality. Of course, I have always seen those pizza's ion the window on the counter, so maybe they have a magic wand when re-firing, or those are special not-for-consumption model pizzas. Having carried out pizzas from Rocky's on a regular basis, I have to note that I can not discern any quality difference between a single slice order when I eat in from a carry-out order for an entire pie. As a follow up, I ordered 16" half bacon, half mushrooms ($11.00) for carry-out. The pie survived it's 15 minute ride down the mountain to Walkersville and remained hot. Again no discernible difference in quality from the last dine-in visit ordering by-the-slice. If you want a decent pizza, that's not too expensive, and you're not going to die, then you got nothing to fear from Rocky's. If you really want to save some cash, the lunch special is a bargain. Pizza and a soda for like under $3. And I think that's what I like the best about Rocky's--it's quality is consistent. For a good pizza dining experience, I give Rocky's my rating of four thumbs up!

Never going back...came here with a few friends...food was ok even though they completely screwed up our order...BUT my friends , who are a little rowdy in nature without alcohol, order a few beers. the waitress was completely nasty about their loud ways.. even though it was not effecting anyone else in the restaurant. Saw her chatting up a local police officer while we were there.( obviously the hang out for police) after leaving my friends were pulled over and were tested for drunk driving ( they passed all test) the police officer had told them he was told they were drunk by someone at the restaurant . They left a sour taste with me. Use to come here often spend good money. I have friends in town who do the same but will be spreading the word not to come unless you want to have the police released on you after have a beer!!!!!

Good family restaurant. (Good NY Pizza) Some dishes are more than $10 per peson. On average, most people can eat under $10 at Rocky's. It is a small Mom & Pop owned restaurant; unfortunately, the customer service has gone down over the years. I think the owners are way-over-worked. Rarely do they answer the phone pleasantly (anymore). Also, when you go-in: almost no greeting (you don't feel welcomed anymore). You'll get better service @ PizzaHut. There are teenagers that work there: as the restaurant gets busy, they don't always handle the pressure well. Plus, they start forgetting a few things. Just make sure you are patient. Positive: The food is good

I love this pizza joint! Its got great pizza, I think the best in Frederick! I have never had the subs, but my husband says their great. I also think that the price is really good for the portions.

You can't beat the prices at this restaurant. Rocky's is our go to restaurant on Sunday's after church. The waitresses are so nice and helpful and the owners have always shown that they appreciate our business. You can tell that the pizza is home-made and the subs are huge.

A duplicate listing. See the other listing for other reviews. Fratelli's New York Pizza is a much better pizza place. But both places are better than Pizza Hut. The pasta is ok, but not great. Very busy place on the weekends, so call ahead to get take out.

I was appalled by the service I received here. I placed an order for delivery. After an hour of waiting I called and was told the food was ready and would be there shortly. I waited another hour, and the food had not arrived. I called to check on the order again and was treated very rudely by the employee on the phone. Her hostility was unwarranted. When I asked to speak the the manager she refused to put him on the phone. When I called back I got to talk to the manager who told me "you just have to wait like everyone else". It took me over 3 hours to get my food. Unacceptable.
